The fierce chase Episode 11 – finale

The Fierce Chase (episode 11) To err is human but to forgive is divine. It's ok to react or act up when angry but don't let the sun go down without letting go of whatever caused your anger. Everyone deserves a second chance at anything they once failed in. A relationship consists of two imperfect individuals that have made a decision to love each other unconditionally and perfectly. Forgiveness is an essential part of the survival of any relationship. You have to be willing to forgive your partner over-again just as Christ forgives when you sin. It's no doubt that Jason's decision to call off his relationship with Paris was mostly triggered by the betrayal he felt when he found out she k-ssed another man. He was hurt and lost the trust he once had for her; which led to calling the relationship off. That decision was made in haste without letting Paris explain or defend herself at least. The sad part about their break up was the fact that these two lovebirds still loved each other with every bit of their hearts. It was almost impossible for either of them to move on from such a breakup because their love was too precious to give up on so easily. Their hearts knew where it belonged and it was with one another. It's apparent that Paris was truly sorry and had learnt the hard way to cherish her relationship and its also relieving to know that Jason had forgiven her for cheating. Immediately Jason revealed to Paris that he wanted her back, it was then that her eyes opened for the first time since he came into her hospital room. Tears of joy flowed uncontrollably from their eyes as they hugged themselves. It was such a beautiful moment for the two lovebirds as they mended their broken relationship. Paris just couldn't stop crying as she wrapped her arms round Jason's neck. He laid his head on her chest and k-ssed her arms countlessly with tears in his eyes. Even a blind man could see the love these two individuals had for each other despite every hurdle their relationship had gone through; their love for one another was glaring! As the two lovebirds laid together on the hospital bed, Paris mum walked in shortly only to see such a beautiful sight. Her mum knew about Jason long time and was aware that he was the man in her daughter's life. No one knew they had broken up few days and just reconciled. Paris mum had wanted to ask of Jason's whereabouts since she arrived at the hospital days ago but couldn't because Paris hasn't said a word to her or anyone since she was admitted there. It was such a beautiful sight that evening at the hospital and the elderly woman didn't want to ruin such a lovely moment for the lovebirds so she decided to give them some privacy by leaving. "Jason, I will be leaving now my son. See you tomorrow when I come" Paris mum said, "Don't worry about anything ma'am, I will spend the night here with Paris. Just go home and rest" Jason calmly responded. He gave Paris mum a hug and excorted her out the door. With the elderly woman gone, Jason went back to the bed and laid with Paris. He car-ssed her hair till she fell asleep in his arms. While she was asleep, he ran some check up on her 'Blood Pressure' and there was a tremendous difference from what Harrison had reported earlier. After running the check ups, he laid back on the bed with her and they slept together. All through the night, Paris opened her eyes occasionally and just stared at Jason. For over 4 days, she thought she had lost him forever. The thought of being back together with her man brought great joy to her heart. She sobbed quietly in order not to wake him up but unfortunate did. "Babe why are you awake and crying?" Jason curiously inquired when he woke up. He tried cleaning Paris tears up with his palms on seeing she was tearing up. "It's nothing serious babe, it's just tears of joy. I thought I had lost you forever. These past days has been the worst days of my life. My emotions and feelings were over the top and seemed as though they were against me. At a point, I felt death was better because I honestly didn't know how to pick up the pieces of my heart and move on. It just dawned on me these few days that I want only you and no one else. You are the only man my heart wants and need. I promise never to put our relationship in such a position again where we have to go though the emotional torture of losing the love we share. For the 100th time, I say I'm sorry for hurting you babe; you deserve the best partner because you are a good man. I am not perfect but I know I can be the best I can for you because you give your everything to us. You never hold back anything from me and I have never had to worry about you being unfaithful to me because you have proved countlessly that you are all in. I love you so much babe, words will fail me to fully express it" she soberly said. When Paris was done talking, Jason held her chin and looked into her teary eyes. He leaned forward and k-ssed her eyes. "It's ok babe, you don't have to torture yourself emotionally anymore. I have to admit that I kinda played a role in all that has happened so I say sorry too. I shouldn't have left any looph0les in our relationship by starving you of affection one way or the other. Maybe I was too relaxed knowing that you were mine so it made me a little reluctant in giving you the affection you dearly needed. I am sorry for indirectly putting you through all this. I know you are a very nice person that loves making people happy so it's understandable why you weren't too vocal about your resistance towards Kelvin's advances. I don't want to change who you are neither do I want to stop you from having male friends, all I seek is for you to set boundaries and I aren't excluded too. I love you and pray we never go down this road again in our relationship because this past few days also showed me how much I love you and don't want to be with any other woman but you. I just checked your blood pressure and it's looking good compared to the results Harrison gave to me earlier so it means you might be leaving here soon. I love you my baby, catch some sleep ok" he said and pecked her forehead. They went back to sleep and cuddled each other while at it. Few days later, Paris was discharged from the hospital and the managing director of Star TV gave her additional one week rest before resuming work. As God may have it, the expansion was completed before she resumed work which meant Kelvin was now out of the radar. Star TV's contract with the real estate firm expired immediately after the expansion was completed so Kelvin no longer had any business with the TV station. This was a huge relief to Paris when she heard about it. She told Jason about the new development and he was happy she now confided in him about things she didn't used to tell him before. Their relationships was now back on track and the lovebirds continued life from where they stopped before the break up incident. Days, weeks and months passed and things went from 'better to best' in their relationship. Paris birthday was fast approaching and she lowkey thought Jason would propose as he revealed earlier on the day he broke up with her. However, a huge part of her wasn't expecting the proposal because she wasn't sure their reconciliation had gotten their relationship back to where it used to be before their break up. They were good as a couple but she wasn't sure marriage was in the cards for now. As the birthday approached, Paris tried not to think about receiving any ring and just lived in the moment. The daily news show she was the anchorwoman for had just gone international so it meant her face was now in the faces of a wh0le lot of people than before. She became even more popular and very successful in her career. On the other hand, Jason had reached the rank of head surgeon in his hospital and was now more sought-after. The lovebirds were individually doing tremendously well in their career fields but never failed to make their relationship a top priority. Both of them were a 'spec' in the outside world and were desired by many. However, all that mattered to them was one another. Finally, Paris birthday came and Jason sent her some flowers, a cake and presents as an early birthday gift. She was super excited to receive such thoughtful gifts first thing in the morning of her birthday. However, Jason informed her that he was leaving town for an urgent surgery when she called to thank him. "What!! Today? Why not tomorrow babe? Today is my birthday and you can't tell me you won't be present to celebrate with me" Paris sadly said. Jason apologized and assured her that he would make it up to her when he comes back the next day. He gave her k-sses through the phone before ending the call. That news wasn't a good one for Paris but she tried to be understanding and not get too worked up. She prepared and headed to work for the day where she was surprised by her colleagues. They all took turns to give her presents, after which she was treated to a good meal. That day went on perfectly well but she had no idea that a shocker was waiting for her. Unknown to Paris, Jason's trip was non-existent. He lied just to make her believe he wasn't going to be around and this was for a good purpose. Apparantly, Jason had bought a nice diamond ring and kept it hidden for a long time. He was ready to ask Paris to be his wife but wanted to take her off guard. While Paris thought Jason had gone out of town, he was busy planning a beautiful proposal for her. All through the day, he was at home waiting for the time to head over to the venue he scheduled for the proposal. Paris best friend 'Jane' was aware of the secret proposal and was the one to bring Paris to the venue. After a day well spent at work, Paris came back home to prepare for the dinner Jane had promised to take her to. She dressed beautifully and drove down to the restaurant in town for her birthday dinner. When she got to the venue, she called Jane to inform her she had arrived and was instructed to enter inside the restaurant. With every step Paris took inside the restaurant, her heart dropped. For some strange reasons, she wished Jason was there with her to celebrate her birthday but she was happy at the same time because he promised to make it up to her once he returns the next day. If only she knew that she was walking into her own proposal, she would have dropped dead in shock. Immediately Paris entered the restaurant, she heard a loud "Happy Birthday" in the air. It was then that it dawned on her that she just walked into her surprise birthday party. What a beautiful surprise indeed. Without hesitating, she began to cry tears of joy as she hugged her colleagues, family and friends one after the other. She was too occupied to see Jason on one knee behind her. It was after she was done hugging as many people as she could that Jane held her shoulders and turned it backwards. That was when she saw her boo on one knee with a ring on his hands. At that moment, her heart almost left her body. As Paris stood there dumbfounded with tears falling from her eyes, Jason held one of her hands and began to speak. "Babe, I know you didn't see this coming but that's how I didn't see it coming when you stole my heart. You have made me the happiest man on earth these past year since you came into my life as a partner, best friend, lover and companion. I honestly don't know what Love would have been for me if I didn't meet you that faithful rainy day at the hospital hallway. Just like you added color to that hallway the day I met you, you haven't stopped adding colour to my life since then. I love you and need you in my life as my life partner. I want you to be the mother of my kids and the person I get to spend Forever with. In front of everyone here today, I ask you to be my wife. Paris Nelson, will you marry me?" Jason said. Oh my!! Words would fail me to truly describe the state of Paris heart that moment. She was blown away and all she could do was cry tears of joy. She knelt down with Jason and planted a soft k-ss on his lips as tears fell from her eyes. Without hesitating, she said a loud "Yesss" after k-ssing her boo. The glittery ring was ins**ted into her finger and another round of k-ss followed. A round of applause followed up immediately after the "Yess" and everyone congratulated the couple on their engagement. That day was the beginning of a new chapter and the end of an old one. They had been through so much in the relationship but came out stronger than ever. Their Love has been Tried but it scaled through unquenched. It was such a beautiful day and yes indeed, Jason took Paris by surprise because she wasn't expecting the the ring at all. When Paris was done k-ssing Jason, she began to blush. Her friends ran towards her to congratulate the latest fiance in town. As they all gathered around her in excitement, she flashed her ring and screamed "Ayeeee!! We have a wedding to plan".
