Eric’s POV
I went back to the Mansion to meet Eva
“Did you find Dianna?” she asked immediately I walked in

“No so I need you to perform a locator spell on her to find out where she is” I said and Eva nodded

She brought out her map and began working her way through the spell but the map she was using suddenly caught fire immediately she started the spell and she stopped

“What happened?” I asked

“I couldn’t find her” she said

“What do you mean by that? Was her location cloaked?” I asked and she shook her head

“No, it was more like she…. she didn’t exist in this world anymore” Eva said and I huffed

“That is not possible”

“That is what my spell told me” she said

“Well your spell must have been wrong!!” I yelled

“Eric…..”

“So you are telling me that my sister doesn’t exist right now? That she might be dead? Well how is that possible when they do not even have a weapon strong enough to kill her?!”

“I didn’t say she’s dead Eric” Eva said

“Then what do you mean by she doesn’t exist in this world anymore?” I asked and Eva sighed

“I don’t know Eric, I have no idea what it means” she said

“I’m sure they did something to her and I must find out what” I said

“And how do you plan on doing that?” Eva asked as I paced around and then I remembered something

“Remember there was a time that Aria casted a spell on us in which she sent us a message by making it appear on our arms as bloody writings?” I asked and Eva nodded

“Yeah, the inscription spell, you want me to cast that on Ivan?” Eva asked

“Yes I do want you to cast the spell, but not on Ivan, I want you to cast the spell on Gia” I said and Eva nodded

She stood up and got a blank piece of paper, an ink brush and a bowl

“Put your blood here and use it to write whatever message you want to send to Gia on this paper” Eva said and I nodded

I made my hand bleed into the bowl and I began to write
“At the place where I poured my heart out to you, I’ll be waiting Viper”
I finished writing and I handed it to Eva

“You called her Viper?” Eva asked and I nodded

“She will understand it is from me and she will come” I said and Eva nodded

She began to chant some spells and the writing on the paper slowly began to disappear till they were all gone from the paper and it was blank again

“I believe she has gotten your message now” Eva said

“I’ll be borrowing your car” I said as I walked out

“Where are you going?” Eva asked

“The woods, outskirt of the City” I replied

Gia’s POV
“Are you sure about this?” he asked

“Dianna needs to be free of the potentes for our plan to work” I said and he nodded

“Fine, I trust you” he said and he handed me that vial and I left

I entered the car and I suddenly felt a burning sensation on my arm and an inscription written in blood suddenly appeared on it

At the place where I poured my heart out to you, I’ll be waiting Viper

“Eric” I huffed as I started the car and I drove at a high speed to the woods outskirts of Arcane City

I got to the entrance of the wood and I stopped the car and came down
There was another car parked outside and I knew he was here

“Eric!!!” I yelled as I walked through the woods

“Right here” I heard his voice and I turned back to see him standing right in front of me and immediately I slapped him hard on his face

“That’s for sending a bloody inscription on my arm! Do I still look like your twin sister that you could ask to meet at anytime?!” I yelled and he scoffed and looked at me

“But you didn’t have to come and yet here you are” Eric said

“Only because I want to hear what you have to say”

“Or because you are curious as to why I called you Viper” Eric uttered

“Eric….”

“Since we are settling scores permit me to do this” he said as he suddenly punched my face and I fell on the floor

“That is for kidnapping Dianna and also for allowing someone, whoever he or she is, to control you and make you live your worst nightmare!!” Eric yelled and I stood back up

“How…. how the bloody hell do you know that?” I asked

“I guess I am right then, someone is controlling you” he said

“No Eric, you are very much wrong, I do whatever I want because I want to” I said and he scoffed

“Have you forgotten Gia, have you forgotten who came into your worst nightmare to save you from it? Just like how you were in your nightmare, you are living the exact same life now!”

“What? No Eric, this is not my nightmare because in my nightmare you were dead though I can’t promise you that won’t be happening anytime soon” I said and he scoffed

“Where is Dianna?” he asked

“Somewhere safe” I replied

“What did you to her?” he asked

“Do to her? She was the one that was out of control and trying to kill us all as she was possessed by a damn potentes or whatever the demon is called!”

“What?!” Eric exclaimed
“That’s…. that’s dangerous, take me to her Gia, I must meet her and find a way to save her” he said and I shook my head

“What was I thinking coming here when you asked me to” I said as I turned to leave but Eric grabbed my arm and I punched his face with my freezing hand

“Do not touch me!!” I yelled

“Why? Did your boss told you to not let anyone touch you?” Eric asked

“I have no boss!”

“You obviously do and untill you tell me who he or she is or at least show me where Dianna is, I won’t be letting you leave here” Eric said

“Well I’d like to see you stop me from getting to my car” I said as I made to leave and I suddenly felt Eric’s thunder encircle me and threw me to the ground

“You are asking for a fight you cannot win Eric” I said as I stood up

“Well you do not know that till after the fight do you?” he said

“Fine” I said as I walked towards him and made to punch him but he dodged my punch and grabbed my throat
I grabbed the hand with which he was holding my throat and began to freeze it

He quickly let go of my throat and I grabbed a dagger from my boots and plunged it into his chest and I stood back up leaving him sprawling on the floor

“See? I told you not to start a fight you cannot win and the next when you mention anything like I am being controlled, I will break all your bones and wait to see how long it takes to grow back” I said and I turned to leave

I walked towards the exit of the woods but I suddenly felt someone grab me from behind and throw hard on the ground
Then Eric stayed atop me and began to punch my face hardly and continuously
My nose was broken and I was bleeding, then he stopped

“You disgust me Gia, not because you took Ivan’s side but because you are supporting him only because whoever is controlling you ordered you to, you are a shame to the Hammington legacy because no Hammington will ever allow him or herself to be controlled like a damn fool!! You are a Hammington no longer Gia and I will find Dianna myself” Eric said and walked away….

Ivan’s POV
Ethan walked out my room but I was dwelling on what he just said
The trauma he must have past through in order to make himself strong like he is now and I feel so responsible for everything
Sophie had left me to take care of Ethan but I couldn’t even carry out that one simple task
I was blinded by my own grief and I left him to suffer alone

I sighed as I stared into the blank space
“I am sorry Sophie, I am so sorry” I said aloud

…………
“……whenever I get really angry, I go into a dark side of myself and I hurt anyone by my side, that’s why I’m always so afraid Ivan, I’m afraid one day I’ll wake up to see Ethan dead after I might have killed him while I was out of control” Sophie said
“That’s why I spent days and night creating those enchanted objects for myself, cause I’d rather hurt myself than hurt my brother”
“It gives me scars but at least I’m able to keep those around me safe”

Then we were suddenly at The Guardian’s Cemetery
“You know I’m not going back Ivan, I feel like I have to be here, my mind tells me I have a part to play in this fight” Sophie said “Don’t worry, I’ll be fine, I promised to get Ethan back from school today after all and I’ve never broken any of my promises to him”

“I love you Ivan, I always have and always will” she said as Dianna pushed her into the Hell Gates

“No!!!” I screamed as I jerked up from my sleep

Layla knocked on my door and peeped in
“Are you okay? I heard your voice from outside” she said and I cleaned off the beads of sweat on my forehead

“I’m fine” I said and she looked at me

“You had a nightmare about her again didn’t you?” she asked as she walked in
“If you want I could make some herbal tonic for you to block the nightmare out whenever you sleep” Layla suggested and I shook my head

“No, I need the nightmares so I do not forget my purpose and what I must do” I said as I stood up

“Ivan….”

“Is Gia not back yet?” I asked and she nodded

“She isn’t and the boundary containing Dianna is getting weaker as the time passes, though Ethan and I could cast a spell and strengthen it again, we’ll need to come up with a permanent solution soon

“You said you need her heart to stop beating before you can get the demon out?” I asked and she nodded
“So what if I try and pull out her heart?”

“As hard as that will be, even if you succeed, she’ll only be without a heart for a few seconds before her heart grows back and that is not enough time for me to expell the demon out of her” Layla said and I sighed

What should we do then? What can we do?
The door to my room suddenly opened and Ethan peeped in
“Gia is back” he said and Layla and I followed him back to the living room

Indeed she was back but her face was smeared with blood
She was obviously injured and had just healed

“Who did you have a fight with?” I asked

“I got this” she said as she brought out a syringe and a vial containing what looked like a liquid injection and ignoring my question

“What is that?” Layla asked

“It is called a….. anyway I’ve forgotten the name but it is apparently supposed stop the heart of who ever it is injected in for a few minutes, there’s another vial that is supposed to be injected after this to get the heart to start beating again else the person will really die but Dianna is immortal so she’ll probably heal on her own without the second injection” she said
“But before I give this to you, you have to explain to me what you plan on doing after Dianna is free of the demon”

I stared at Gia for a moment and I sighed

“I am going to let her go” I said

“What?!!” Ethan and Gia exclaimed

“You promised to make her suffer!!” Ethan said

“Yes I did and I will but I won’t be able to do that till I get Dianna’s baby blood and complete the immortal killing spell” I said

“And how does letting her go just like that get you her baby’s blood?” Gia asked

“I’m not letting her go just like that Gia!” I said and turned to Layla
“Now that Dianna is still here, is there any spell you could cast that will allow us know where she is at all time?”

“Umm, I could try but I’ll need something that belongs to her” Layla said

“Like her blood?” Ethan asked

“Her blood is polluted by the demon so it won’t be suitable” Layla said and looked at me
“Will it be possible for me to get her hair? Just a strand of her hair” she asked

“Will you be able to carry out the spell with that?” I asked and she nodded
“Then get me inside that boundary with her”

“What?!! Thats dangerous!!” Gia exclaimed

“What? Do you care about me now sister?” I asked and she kept quiet

“I could lift the boundary spell for a second so you can get it and lift it again when you are ready to step out” Layla said

“I can help you with the spell” Ethan said and Layla nodded

I stood in front of the circle created by the boundary staring at Dianna who was also just staring at me
Layla and Ethan had started to chant their spell and immediately they shouted “Now!” I quickly jumped inside the circle and the boundary was back up again

“Hey possessed Dianna, mind giving me a strand of your hair?” I asked but her whole body immediately started flaming up
“I guess asking politely won’t do it then” I said as I made to yank her hair but she caught my hand and threw me towards the boundary
I was bounced back to the circle by the boundary and I fell on the floor

“Fine, let’s do it your way then” I said as I grabbed her leg and pulled it as I stood up
She fell on the floor and I removed my glove and punched her face repeated till I was able to get some strands of her hair with my other hand

“You can let me out anytime now!” I yelled and Dianna suddenly flared up grabbing my throat and lifting me up from the ground
She plunged her flaming hand into my chest and I felt her hand encircle my heart

“Now Ivan!” Layla yelled
“Get out of their now!!” I heard Gia’s yell too

I mustered all the strength I could and I pulled Dianna’s hand out of my chest and along with her hand, my heart was pulled out too and everything went blank…..
