Episode 21.
Sandra was taken to the police station and she was withheld.
Daniel left for his house and he couldn’t even concentrate again due to the fact that he wants Ekaette back.
He wanted to visit her in the village and later kicked off the idea and continue with his life hoping that one day it will be well.
Ekaette was so excited to see Steve, but her heart was missing Daniel so bad but she had no option than to move on with her life.
She ushered Steve into the house and offered her a sit to sit down which he did.
“You are growing more beautiful “he said and she smiled
“Thank you dear ,let me get you something to eat it’s been a while ”
“No dear don’t worry I’m OK.
“Are you sure?
He nod his head positively and smiled which Ekaette return the smile.
“I just wanted us to go shopping in the city”he said
Ekaette couldn’t hold her happiness. she wanted to go to the city so bad. she hug him and entered her inner room to change up.
Minutes later she was done and they head outside to where packed his car. Steve opened the door for and she entered. he close it and enter the driver and zoom off to the city shopping mall.

“HEAVENLY CHOICE ” boldly displayed on the bill board before Ekaette. they got down from the car and Steve lead her in,side holding her on the wa-ist and they smiled .
The in,side was cool and wow. with the help of the air conditioner the house was cool and she was wow with how the building looks. Steve lead her way, she stumbled and was about falling when Steve caught her on the wa-ist in a way they staired at each other.
He lend closer to k-ss her but she dodge the k-ss feeling her beat which means that she still needs Daniel love though he cheated on her.
Steve understood what that means he smiled and let go of her.
They moved from one corner to the order choosing and selecting dress and other stuffs for Ekaette which was so wow on her.
Daniel was returning from the station he decided to get himself some new stuff because his wardrobe is getting old with old clothes.
he stopped in front of HEAVENLY CHOICE shopping mall. he head to the in,side.
He was also choosing his stuffs like that when Steve and Ekaette pass him by making jokes at each other and smiling. Daniel was busy selecting his dress, he didn’t even bother to look at those laughing.
He was done selecting his stuffs and he head to the counter to pay his bills, so as Steve and Ekaette head to the counter too.
Daniel paid his bills and was about leaving when Ekaette and Steve arrived the place , he mistakenly turned and collide with Ekaette and the shopping bag fell off his hand. he didn’t even noticed that it was her.
“I’m sorry miss it’s my mistake “he said bending down to pick the things
“It’s okay, “she said rubbing her forehead.
The voice sound familiar to Daniel, it was like Ekaette voice. he looked up and saw the pretty damsel called Ekaette before him.
Immediately ekaette saw Daniel her heart beat increased and she looked away.
Daniel walked to her .
“Excuse me miss”he said and she turned around.
“Are you not Ekaette?
“I’m sorry I’m not the one maybe you are mistaken “she said boldly and looked away.
“Don’t lie to me, I know that you are Ekaette from Okpunke village ”
Hearing the word Okpunke village Steve knew that maybe they have met before.
Ekaette was so angry at the moment, hearing that Daniel called her a village girl.
“Mind your business, I’m not the one and I will never be Ekaette “she yell in anger.
Daniel held her hands and looked into her eyes pleadingly.
“Please I know that you are my missing Ekaette, please come back to me”he said looking at her.
Ekaette knew that she need to act fast or else she will get into a hot soup.
She disengaged her hands from him and gave him some resounding slap.
“I warned you but you wouldn’t listen, I’m not Ekaette. now get that into your skull”she said and held Steve tide and k-ssed him at the very eyes of Daniel.
Steve was stunned at her actions, she dragged Steve out and faced Daniel again.
“Go and search for your missing girlfriend because I’m not the one. that’s my boyfriend “she said pointing at Steve.
She left shaking her butt simultaneously.
Daniel couldn’t bear it any longer he left the arena feeling his heart dying for love.
Ekaette on the other couldn’t bear it also. she couldn’t believe that she just did that to the man he moved love. she was so heartbroken and Steve noticed that.
Daniel was smelling alcoholic due to the incident that transpired between him and Ekaette his first love.
He would have taken Sandra, but he was wrong thinking that Ekaette was meant for him. but he wasn’t ready to back off until he gets her back.
He staggered out of the drinking bar. he was drunk to the last extent.
he entered his car trying to drive, people try to stop him not to drive but he neglected them and set the car in motion and drove out in speed into the speed lane.
His vision was so blurry, he didn’t noticed a moving truck driving towards him. the truck sounded it’s horn from afar thinking that the driver will divert but Daniel was still driving to the truck.
Before he realized what happened, the truck collide with his car 🚗 and damaged the car into pieces. blood was all over the road flowing.
Daniel car was drag by the truck was later drop into the gutter with Daniel in,side.
the car was so damaged to the extent the driver won’t survive.
“Ekaette! he called faintly and passed out.
Episode 22
Steve and Ekaette got to the house. Ekaette was still battling with her love for Steve.
Remembering how he treated Daniel earlier, she was heartbroken.
Steve was still watching how restless she was, but pretended as if he saw nothing.
“My angel” Steve called
“Yes ”
Steve look down feeling shy to continue with what he wanted to say seeing the condition of Ekaette, but decided to say it.
“You, know that I have waited so long for this day”
Ekaette nod her head in a yes gesture.
“Close your eyes and don’t open it”he said to Ekaette smiling.
She obediently closed her eyes. Steve dip his hand in his trouser pocket and brought out a diamond 💎 💍 ring that was so beautiful.
He knelt down on the ground and lift the diamond 💍 ring up.
“Now open your eyes ”
Ekaette slowly opened her eyes and met Steve kneeling down with the diamond 💍 ring in his hand.
She gasp for air because she was not expecting this so soon. her heart was racing thinking whether to accept or decline.
She looked at Steve and found him staring at her with pleading eyes.
“Please dear, with undying desires in me that can’t be explained, will you be the woman of my life? he asked looking like a kid.
Ekaette knew that she still loves Daniel but the problem is that he is married to Sandra. and if she says no now and this kind of opportunity never comes again what will she do?
She slid her long hair backward and help Steve got back on his feet.
“You know that I’ve love you too since childhood….. she paused and missing Daniel for the last time.
“I will…..
Ekaette! Ekaette! they heard a voice shouting her name from outside and banging the door too which interrupted her from saying yes to Steve and Steve was so annoyed.
“Who is that come in”
Miracle entered the house p-nting like a person that is under attack.
“What is it and why p-nting like this? Ekaette asked
“You won’t believe this. it’s about Daniel ” miracle said and immediately ekaette face to an angry look.
“You better get out of here if you don’t anything reasonable saying. what about Daniel? who am I to him? why telling me? she asked three questions at a time.
“The story is there to tell. first the marriage you heard about Daniel and Sandra….
“What is it? I think they are now married, so don’t destroy someone’s happiness “she cut it interrupting her.
“Kpamm, the marriage was all planned by Sandra without Daniel’s knowledge and the marriage was cancelled “miracle announced
“What? Ekaette shouted and stood up likewise Steve who tried to calm her down.
“You are a fool , Daniel is happily married and here you are telling me stories ” she said. but deep down she was praying for it to be so.
“I swear to my God I’m telling you the truth ” miracle said
“Oh my God!
“And that’s not the main reason I’m here is that, Daniel is dying in the hospital. he had an accident and they they that he won’t survive it because it’s so critical ”
Ekaette was so terribly shaking.
she knew that she’s the cause of his accident .
“It’s all my fault”she said. I shouldn’t have done what I did yesterday.
“No time to wa-ist, you need to go and save your man. he needs you now ” miracle said and left.
Steve was doom, the ring was still in his hand.
Ekaette looked at him pleadingly, and he understood. he hug her and she returned the hug.
They left for the hospital in Steve’s car after being directed to the hospital Daniel was.
