Chris POV

“Tell me who the hell Anna is!” Mitchell s¢ræmed at me

I gulped nervously and didn’t even know where to start from. She never takes my phone without asking me first but she did this time. What could she have seen that is making her act this way?

“Anna was a waiter in the restaurant I frequently visited” I managed to say

“A waiter? Do you go about k-ssing waiters randomly like it’s nothing?” she scoffed

“What are you talking about?” I asked shakily

“Are you still trying to deny it? You can try to deny it all you want, thank goodness I have the evidence with me” she said and took out her phone

I licked my l-ips nervously as I waited patiently for her to show me whatever she has on her phone. Kathryn couldn’t have told her about it yet, right? No, she wouldn’t do that!

“Explain this to me!” she said showing me a picture of Anna and I k-ssing in the parking lot

“M… Mitchell, I can explain this” I said

“I know you can explain it. Let’s say this was photoshopped, but a message from that same Anna just came in now” she thundered and stretched my phone to me

“W.. what is this?” I asked after reading the message

“Are you asking me? I should be asking you that question instead. What does she mean by this?”

“I swear I also don’t understand. We’ve not been in contact for about three to four weeks now so I have no idea of what she’s talking about” I said confusedly

“Did you get intimate with her?” she asked and I gulped hærd

“Won’t you say something? Just say you didn’t get intimate with her, is that so hærd to say?” she asked calmly this time

“Mitchell….”

“Just tell me you didn’t get intimate with her” she cut me off

“I got intimate with her and that was what I wanted telling you yesterday. If you had allowed me say it, you wouldn’t have found out this way. I’m sorry” I said already on my knees

“When was it? Was it the night you didn’t return home?” she asked staring into space

“Yes” I admitted shutting my eyes tightly

“Okay” she said and stood up

“Mitchell…..” I called but she raised her hand to stop me

“I will be leaving the house for a while, I need space” she said and left without looking back

I must admit that I’m the biggest fool alive. Kathryn got me this time and I must commend her for a job well done.

How could she even think of showing that picture to Mitchell? Also, how come Anna’s message came in at the same time? She could have messaged me any other day but she choose to message me today.

Could it be that she’s working together with Kathryn? No, that’s totally impossible. Anna and Kathryn are two opposite sides of a coin and there’s no way they would work together.

But is Anna really serious about carrying my child? She got pregnant from the s-x we had? It’s entirely possible since I deflowered her but I surely wasn’t expecting this.

How did my peaceful life and smooth relationsh¡p suddenly turn around within a few weeks? Anna is not the one at fault here, I’m the one at fault.

If I hadn’t booked a hotel room beforehand, I wouldn’t have thought of going to any hotel and nothing would have happened between us.

No matter how much I think about it, I think it’s my fault. If Mr Williams hears about this, he will be disappointed and hurt. But what can I do? I have to tell him first before Mitchell does.

“Good afternoon sir! Are you in the company right now?” I asked as soon as he picked the call

“Yes, I am. Is there a problem?” he asked back

“I think so sir. Can I come over if you’re not busy?” I asked

“Of course you can! I will be waiting for you”

“I will be there in a jiffy” I concluded and ended the call

I didn’t bother changing my clothes. I only picked up my car keys and phone and left the mansion.

Soon enough, I arrived at the company and went in,side, rubbing my palms nervously. I don’t have any courage whatsoever but I have to do this.

“Come with me, Mr Williams is waiting” a worker said to me

“Thank you” I said politely and went with her

“You shouldn’t be stressing yourself just yet, have your sit” he said pointing at a chair after the lady left

“No sir, I’m okay like this. Infact, I should be on my knees instead” I said and went down on my knees before he could protest

“What do you think you are doing?” he asked

“I want to tell you something sir. I’ve wronged you and Mitchell and I don’t know if you will ever forgive me” I said

“You are my son-in-law so why won’t I forgive you? We are all humans and humans make mistake. He who accepts his mistake and try to make amends is the best” he said

“It’s different in this case sir. I…..I cheated on Mitchell” I said

“You cheated on Mitchell? But why? I thought you guys were finally beginning to get along” he asked confusedly

“Yes, we were beginning to get along. I don’t know how it happened or what came over me but after having a couple or drinks, I suddenly found myself in the girl’s arms the next morning. There was blood on the bed and she cried, saying I had deflowered her.

I apologized to her and I wanted to tell Mitchell about it when I got home but I was too scared, I didn’t know how to tell her. I finally made up my mind yesterday to tell her but she didn’t let me. She said I should tell her today.

When she returned from the agency, she picked my phone and started going through it. A model already told her that she saw me with the waiter so I guess that was why she was checking my phone.

Coincidentally, the waiter choose that moment to send me a text message and said she was pregnant. Mitchell is completely shattered right now and I have no idea where she is” I said in tears (1085)

“Why did you let yourself get caught up with a waiter? I already explained to you that Mitchell has never fallen in love and you broke her heart like this, how will she be feeling right now?” he asked sadly

“I don’t know how it happened, everything seemed strange to me, to be honest. I know I don’t deserve Mitchell’s forgiveness, I just want her to be okay” I said admist hot tears

“It’s okay, crying won’t solve anything. We need to look for her first and calm her down” he suggested

“I will look for her now” I said and walked towards the door

“Do you know where to look for her?” Mr Williams asked

“N…no, I will just check the agency and go to every are and restaurant she visits” I stuttered

“Alright then! I will aslo ask the guards to look for her. Call me when you find her” he said and I nodded before leaving

Kathryn’s POV

I smiled triumphantly as I thought about how devastated Chris must be right now.

After Mitchell left the agency about an hour ago, I asked someone to follow her and inform me as soon as she gets home. He did just that and I counted ten minutes from then before asking Melissa to send the message.

I’m a genius and my plan worked perfectly just like I wanted. Mitchell was seen driving out of the mansion in anger with tears in her eyes.

Poor child! If only she had listened to me and not trust Chris completely, she won’t be going through all this.

Either way, the deed has been done so I need to go on with the next step now. I will order some guys to kidnap Chris and I will get rid of him after a while.

Dad wants to open the safe but he will never be able to open it because I will get rid of Chris before he can even meet him.

The ringing of my phone jolted me out of my thoughts and I checked the caller.

“Hello darling” I said with a smile

“You know it’s not fair Kathryn. You said yes to me but you’ve not even tried contacting me since then even though you know how busy I am” Robert said

“I’m sorry about that! I’ve also been busy with a lot of things that I hærdly have time for myself. But don’t worry, I’ll call you from now on okay?” I said

“Alright! Should we go out now?” he asked

“No, not today. I have something important to deal with but we can go tomorrow after my shoot” I said

“Okay then, I’m looking forward to it already”

We bade each other farewell and he blew me a k-ss before ending the call. Being in a relationsh¡p is sweet, especially when you’re with the right person.

“Melissa, what do you think of my next move?” I asked after telling her about it

“I don’t really know but I think it’s a bit too fast. Nothing is coming up right now but I’ll let you know once I have any idea” she promised

“Fine, I’ll be waiting for you” I said

A knock sounded on the door and I stared at Melissa confusedly.

“Are you expecting someone?” I asked her

“Of course not, the person must be here for you” she shrugged

“But I’m not expecting anyone” I mumbled to myself

“Good luck, I will be in my room” she said and left

I walked to the door and twisted the doorknob and the door instantly gave way.

“Who are you……” the words got stuck in my throat as I came facing an angry Chris

“What have you done Kathryn? What did I even do to you that makes you hate me so much? How could you send those pictures to Mitchell knowing fully well that it would ruin our relationsh¡p?” he asked tearily

“Oh my goodness! Did Mitchell get angry with you because of that? That’s absurd! How can she get angry over something like that? The picture could have been photoshopped for all we know so why would she let it get to her, unless she doesn’t trust you?” I smirked

“Mitchell trusts me okay. She’s mad at me for another reason but the picture you gave her triggered everything. Can you please just leave Mitchell and I alone?” he begged

“No, why should I? I enjoy seeing both of you in misery and pain so I won’t stop. Just wait and see what happens next” I threatened

“Has Mitchell offended you some time ago? Or are you angry with me because of the past we share together? From the scenes I remember, we were friends when we were young so how did it change into hatred?” he asked

“Don’t ask me unnecessary questions, just leave because you’re not welcome here” I said

“I’m only here to plead with you. Mitchell had gone through a lot already so just leave her alone. You can hurt me as much as you want but leave Mitchell out of this” he said

“You can’t tell me what to do okay? I’ve not even started with both of you yet. If you really want me to leave Mitchell and not hurt her, divorce her. Once you do that, I won’t ever touch Mitchell” I smirked

“What are you talking about? How can you ask me to divorce her? She’s already shattered as it is and you want me to break her heart even more?” he asked in disbelief

“Well, it’s not a must for you to listen to me. You just need to choose which one suits you. Will you divorce Mitchell and let her just deal with the heartbreak or will you put her life in danger to the point of death? It’s your choice” I said with a smile and closed the door at his face

Thank goodness Melissa left for her room already, who knows if he will recognize something about her?

Now that I’ve threatened Chris, I can still put my plan on hold for a while and see what he will do.
