Kathryn’s POV
My plan to separate Mitchell and Chris finally worked. My guard told me that he saw Chris leaving the mansion with some luggage. Thank you for making things easier for me, Mitchell.
Now, all I have to do is get rid of Chris discreetly without anyone finding out. It will be a piece of cake for me since he’s no longer under Mitchell’s protection.
“Were you able to confirm what I told you yesterday?” I asked Mitchell in the parking lot
“Why are you always waiting for me at the parking lot? I want to be alone today so please, don’t talk to me” she said and tried walking away
“Oh come on Mitchell! I’m not Chris that cheated on you, why are you taking your anger out on innocent me?” I asked with a sad look on
“Don’t you dare talk about Chris with that filthy mouth of yours. He cheated on me so what? It’s my personal affair, just mind your own business” she s¢ræmed at me
“You don’t need to act so tough before me and pretend like everything is fine. I’m well aware that Chris left your mansion this morning. If you guys are really in good terms, he wouldn’t have left with his luggage.
It’s none of my business anyway. It’s your life and marriage so do as you please. I only wanted to help you as a friend” I said with a shrug
“You want to help me as a friend? Have we ever been friends? Now that my marriage is almost crumbling, you think we are friends?
I’ve always known you to be evil but I never knew you were completely heartless. I curse the day I regarded you as a model I looked up to” she said angrily
“I never asked you to take me as your role model but I guess you were so envious and wanted to become just like me. You don’t need to try so hærd because as long as I’m alive, you will never become the top one model” I said
“Oh really? This feels like a competition to you but sadly, I’m not competing with anyone. If I’m destined to become the top one model, then I can’t say no to it. I won’t try hærd because I don’t even need to. It’s a pity that you have to pull so many strings just to remain at the top” she smirked
“How dare you!!” I said and raised my hand to slap her but she held it firmly
“The reason why I’ve always respected you to this day is because you’re a model while I’m just a trainee but I don’t care about that anymore.
If you dare try to cross your limit one more time, then I’ll be forced to show you your place” she said and left
Wow! This girl has really gotten bolder than I ever imagined she will be. She even threatened me and talked back at me while looking me in the eye. And she also said she cursed the day she regarded me as her role model. Just wow!
She has crossed all limits this time and I won’t spare her. She will have to pay for what she did to me today and she will definitely pay dearly for it.
My phone rang and when I checked the caller ID, it was Robert. I took in deep breaths to calm myself before answering the call.
“Sweetie, how are you doing?” he asked
“I’m doing good and you?” I said with a smile
“I’m fine too. I guess you didn’t miss me since you haven’t called since yesterday” he said
“No, I definitely missed you. I’ve been busy since yesterday and I just got free now. I had it in mind to call you as soon as I arrived at the company but you beat me to it” I lied
“Okay then, if you say so. I feel we haven’t really been spending time together and it’s not good for our relationsh¡p that is still very new. We should get to know more about each other, don’t you think?” he asked
“I think so too. Like I said, I’ll create time for you from now on. Just let me know when you’re free” I said
“Alright. Can we meet in the next thirty minutes then?” he asked
“Sure, I’m still free for now”
“Alright, I’ll pick you up at the agency” he said
“I’ll be waiting. Bye” I said and ended the call
I need to focus on my relationsh¡p seeing that Robert is a good guy but I also need to get rid of Chris very quickly. I guess I’ll just handle Chris first and finally focus my whole attention on Robert.
Mitchell’s POV
Hearing Kathryn say those things to me just makes me doubt her more and makes my trust in Chris stronger.
Just like Chris said, what happened couldn’t have been a coincidence. Why did Anna choose to send the message to me when I was holding Chris phon?
Chris hasn’t been in contact with her for a while but she just suddenly sent that message out of the blue. Now that I’m finally picking the pieces together, I also find this suspicious.
I discarded the thoughts and decided to focus on Crystal’s teaching. The manager said I might not have to wait for six months if I catch up quickly and I’m trying to put in my best.
I have to become a model soon and at the same time, I need to complete the building of my company and make profits like grandmother said. I just wish there was someone to help me financially. I don’t want to ask Dad for help because grandmother will definitely find out about it and that mighr disqualify me.
Being the heiress is not exactly what I’m after. I only want to prove to everyone of them that I’m grown up and I’m not as useless as they think I am.
Soon, it was lunch time and I headed to the parking lot. I will be taking full lessons now which means I can’t go home after lunch as usual, I have to return to the agency instead.
Just when I had almost gotten to where my car was parked, a man appeared out of nowhere with a bunch of flowers.
He was wearing shades and surprisingly, his cologne smelt familiar. I stared at him in confusion until he finally took off the shades, revealing Kevin Russell.
“My hands are hurting already, won’t you accept my flowers?” he whined
“S…sorry, I didn’t know it was you” I stuttered and took the flowers
He was looking hot in the body hugging shirt he wore and I could see every single one of his abs from the shirt. If he wasn’t Kevin Russell, I would have thought he was s-ducing me.
“Mitchell?” he called out with a raised voice
“Y…yes?” I stuttered and snapped out of my thoughts
Holly molly! What was I thinking just now? I can’t believe I was daydreaming about Kevin Russell while he’s standing before me.
“Are you okay?” he asked with concern lacing his voice
“I’m fine, I just feel a little tired” I lied
“Sorry about that! You will be going home soon so I guess you’ll be able to rest properly” he said
“I really wish I could go home but my schedule changed. I have to take lessons until evening from now on” I said
“But why? It will be too stressful for you. Talk to the manager about it, I’m sure he will change it for you” he said
“I already agreed to it. If I learn quickly, then I don’t have to wait for six months before becoming a model. It has been my biggest dream and I feel like becoming a model right away” I said
“Ohh! I understand you. Still, you need to put your health first okay? When you feel you’re tired, you should take a day off” he said
“I will do just that. Thanks” I said with a smile
“Why are you here by the way?” I asked
“Why else would I be here? I came for you of course. You sounded weak and helpless on the phone and it broke my heart. I couldn’t just sit and do nothing” he said
“Is this really the Kevin Russell I first met? You sound like a lovesick guy right now” I joked
“I’m lovesick but it doesn’t matter. As long as it will make you happy, I will be willing to do anything for you” he said
I got lost staring at him and we both stood there for a few minutes until he coughed slightly.
“Let’s get going to the restaurant now, I will take you there in your car” he said and opened the car door for me
He shut the door after I got in and went to the driver’s side and also got into the car. He stared at me for a while and finally leaned closer.
I couldn’t move or even blink my eyes. I stared closely at him and when he was a few inches away from me, I shut my eyes tight.
I felt his body hovering over me and he soon pulled away after a few seconds. That was when I realized that he only helped me fasten my seatbelt and nothing more.
Here I was thinking he was about to k-ss me. What exactly is wrong with me today? I just hope he didn’t notice I shut my eyes because it would be so embarrassing.
“Your usual s₱0t right?” he asked after a few minutes of silence
“Yes” I mumbled
“Is something wrong?” he asked
“No, I’m fine. Like I told you earlier, I’m a bit tired but I’ll be okay” I said with a false smile
Ronald’s POV
I’ve been trying to get close to Mitchell for some days now but she doesn’t pay me any attention. She just treats me like I’m some random guy but it’s different with Kevin.
Whenever she’s with Kevin, she pays attention to every of his move and treats him specially. I’m sure that d**khead must have said something to her about me.
He thinks he can outsmart me in this game right? I will prove to him that he’s wrong.
Now that it has come to this, I’m sure that I won’t be able to win Mitchell over by going to her as just some random guy.
She clearly sees me as a nobody so going to her will just be a waste of time. I need to think of something else.
I need to come up with a different plan entirely that will throw Kevin off guard. I will definitely win him in this game no matter what happens.
“Boss, the guys just informed us that they saw Kevin and Mitchell in Mitchell’s car. Kevin was driving while Mitchell sat beside him making them look like a couple” one of my men said
I actually asked some of them to keep an eye on Mitchell and inform me about all her moves so I can know what to do, but being in the same car with Kevin?
She’s hærdly seen with Chris in the same car but she’s with Kevin in the same car? Does this mean he has finally succeeded in winning her heart?
I underestimated Kevin’s abilities. I never knew he could accomplish so much within just a short period of time.
Mitchell must have been smitten by him because of his handsome looks and it’s not like I’m less handsome though.
I even told her I’m the CEO of a company that no one has ever seen my face, yet she wasn’t privileged to meet me.
I can’t waste anymore time. If I can’t have Mitchell by acting like a gentleman, then I can have her as a Mafia boss.
I’m going to have to kidnap Mitchell and force my way down with her after which I’ll upload a video of her just like how Kevin did to Kathryn.
