Samuel and i have been hanging out. We spend evenings together. He’s very sweet. I had called him that we should go out but said he’s busy.

Alex’s mom called me and told me to rush to Alex’s place since my place is closer to his. Actually his Dad gave Justin and I, a new apartment though the house is in Justin’s name.

Alex’s mom said she received a text from Alex saying Nora has left him and Basil is not his. And couldnt take it again, he’s on wheelchair and dumb too. So he decides to end his life. I had to rush to his house immediately.

I sat on the bed with his mom while Alex sat on his wheelchair narrating everything about How Nora gave him a son that is not his and tried to kill him too. Including how the test result made him had the accident.

Mrs PhilΒ‘ps took a deep breathe. “Your dad and I warned you….

“Where is my dad? Is he still mad at me? Thats why he did not bother to check on me? “.

“Don’t sat that, Alex. Your dad was there throughout your stay in the hospital”. I said.

“And why is he not here now?!! “. He half yelled.

“Alex calm down, please. He’s been busy”.

“Busy to check up on his only child? “.

I took a deep breathe. “Alex, focus on your health now. Please”.

“Thank you so much Tiwalade. You’re a good wife”. His mom said and I tried not to scoff. Wife indeed.

I pick my phone and dialed Sam’s number.

πŸ“ž “Hello…. Yeah… Yeah.. Okay.. Alright”. I disconnected the call and face Alex and his mom who were staring closely at me. Whats up with the look?

“Umm….. Ma. I have to go now”.

“But you just got here”. Alex whined. Why is he acting this way?

“Umm. I was actually going somewhere when mom called”.

“Yeah no problem dear. Thanks so much”. Alex mom said and I hugged her, waved at Alex then left his house.

πŸ“AlexπŸ“

I couldn’t get Tiwa off my mind. I wanna ask her and confirm whether she’s really getting married.

But does she realise we still married. Wait. Whats wrong with me? That’s what I always wanted.

“Alex “. My mom called breaking into my thought. “Do you love Tiwa? “.

I was stunned for a while. “Love? “. I chuckled. “No, mom. You know I don’t”.

She sighed. “You’ve been in thought since she left. She’s a hood girl, you know. Despite everything, she still stayed with you”.

“Mom… “.

“Yes son”.

“Is it true that Tiwa is getting married? “.

“Huh? Married ke? Where did you hear that from? “.

“Is it necessary, mom?. I just want the truth”.

“I don’t know, son”.

“But mom, can she marry someone else when we’re still legally married? “.

She shook her head. “No,she can’t.Unless she divorce you”.

“Divorce me?Mom, do you think she’ll divorce me? “.

“Alex.hmmmm. Am your mother. Don’t hide anything from me, you love her? “.

I huffed. “Mom… Sincerely I dont know. I just feel like…… Never mind.. Can you do me a favour? “.

“What favour? “.

“I need you and dad to do something for me, please”.

“And whats that? “.

πŸ’TiwaladeπŸ’

I crosscheck the files on my desk, making sure there’s no error. It 6pm already and am still at work. I’ve been covering up for all the time I spent in the hospital.

I pick my phone and dialed Justin’s number. Placing it on my ear. First ring, second ring, third ring and fourth.

πŸ“ž “You always ruin nice moments. What is its this time, huh?. What the hell is this boy doing that is making him sound and breath this way?.

πŸ“ž “Am done. Just called for you to come and pick me up”.

πŸ“ž “Am sorry but I dont think I can come. Am busy”.

πŸ“ž “Why can’t you come? You were the one that made me leave my car at home”.

πŸ“ž “Am sorry about that, Big sis”.

πŸ“ž “What do you want me to do now? “.

πŸ“ž “I dont know. Maybe a designated driver or something”.

πŸ“ž “Justin, wait. Where are you? “.

πŸ“ž “At Ella’s”. Wow. Now I understand. Ella left very early today, after complaining she has fever. So this is the fever.

They’ve been hanging out lately. Justin is just after her body, thats all. “Are you there, Laura? “.

πŸ“ž “Oh yeah yeah”.

πŸ“ž “What do you wanna do now? “.

πŸ“ž “It you, I want. Please”.

πŸ“ž “Seriously, I can’t come. Am in the middle of something. It because of the love I have for you.

That why I answered the call. If it were someone else. I won’t pick”.

πŸ“ž “Am not gonna tell you that, it my…….

“Justin, what’s keeping you? Am gonna leave the bathroom o! “. I heard Ella say from the other end interrupting Justin.

πŸ“ž “So thats it, Justin……

πŸ“ž “Love you sis, bye”. He cut me off and aborted the call.

“Umm.. Who do I call now? Sam? Yeah sam. But he might be busy”.

I stroll to his number and dialed it.

πŸ“ž “Hey sam”.

πŸ“ž “Hi Tiwa”.

πŸ“ž “Can you please come over to my workplace”.

πŸ“ž “Sure babe. I was planning to take you for a date tonight”.

πŸ“ž “Wow, right then. I’ll be waiting”.

πŸ“ž “Yeah……I…. L…Okay…I’ll be with you shortly”. With that he aborted the call and I smiled blushing at my phone.

Wait… Whats this feeling?.

πŸ’Tiwalade πŸ’

I came out of the bathroom with a towel around my chest. It Sunday and I have a date with Samuel today.

I glance at the wall clock and it just 4:00pm. Gosh… It still far. What will I be doing before then? Justin barely stay at home this days. Always hanging out with Ella. I think he likes her though. Well who knows. He’s a player.

My phone buzz and I walk to the drawer. “World best❀”. I smiled. I aborted the call and call her back.
πŸ“ž “Hello, sweet mom”.

πŸ“ž “Tiwalade mi”.

πŸ“ž I smiled. “Yes mom”.

πŸ“ž “How are you doing? “.

πŸ“ž “Am fine mom”.

πŸ“ž “How is Olamide and everybody? “.

πŸ“ž “Mom, we’re all fine”.

πŸ“ž “Thats good to know”.

πŸ“ž “How is everybody at home too and your business? “.

πŸ“ž “We thank God o”.

πŸ“ž “I called Feyi yesterday but she did not pick up and haven’t call back till now”.

πŸ“ž “Oh yeah, she put to bed yesterday”

πŸ“ž I beamed with smile. “Wow, am so happy for her”.

πŸ“ž “Will you come for the naming ceremony? “.

πŸ“ž I chuckled. “No ma. You don’t expect me to come all the way to the village because of that.

πŸ“ž She took a deep breathe. “Tiwalade”. She called softly.

I put it the call in loudspeaker and place it on my dressing table then sat on the stool. I dried my body with towel before applying my lotion.

“Tiwalade, are you there? “.

πŸ“ž “Mo gbo yin, Miami(Mom,am listening)

πŸ“ž “Am sorry for everything that happened in the pas……

πŸ“ž “Mom, I told you it bygone already. Stop talking about it. You’re taking it personal”.

πŸ“ž “Please dont punish me this way”. She sniffed. “It been five years since I saw you last”.

πŸ“ž “Mom, I told you. Am coming in December. I never said am not coming. I will but that will be December. Atleast Olamide still came to the village few weeks ago”.

πŸ“ž “I miss you Tiwa……… And I love you”.

πŸ“ž “Mom, I love you too very much. You’re irreplaceable in my life. I swear on my life, I don’t have any grudge on you. Yes I can’t deny the fact that I was mad at you for how you turn your back on me few years ago bit it bygone now”.

πŸ“ž “You’ll come in December, right? “.

πŸ“ž “Yes mom, I promise”.

πŸ“ž”Hmmmm. Alright take care of yourself”.

πŸ“ž “yes mom. You too. Bye”.

πŸ“ž “wait”.

πŸ“ž “Ma? “.

πŸ“ž “What of your husband? How is he now? “.

πŸ“ž “He’s fine”.

πŸ“ž “I heard he can talk now”.

πŸ“ž “Yes mom”.

πŸ“ž “Dont worry. He’ll still walk. I believe strongly in that. I never stop praying for both of you ”

πŸ“ž “Mom, am getting a divorce? ”

πŸ“ž “What?!! “.

πŸ“ž “Yeah. Am just waiting for the right time”.

πŸ“ž “But Tiwa. What do you think people will say? “.

πŸ“ž “Say what? Who cares? Nobody was there when I was being maltreated. If it about the factory. Am planning to resign soon. To prove, am not a gold digger or anything.

I’ll just go get a new job else where and relocate too. You know am not a gold digger and i’ll never be. Am not the type that relay on people’s wealth. No. “.

πŸ“ž “Is that what you want?. “.

πŸ“ž “yes mommy”.

πŸ“ž “I give you my full support. I won’t repeat the same mistake again”.

πŸ“ž “Thanks mom, regards to everyone. Bye”.

Am getting a divorce and thats it. I move ti my closet. “What should I wear now o”. Okay.

I settled for a Black and white trouser and a black top with a red handkerchief and a channel purse.

Just as I finish dressing up. My phone rang and I reached for it. Mr PhilΒ‘ps.

πŸ“ž “Hello sir”.

πŸ“ž “Laura. Please check on Alex. He’s sick….

πŸ“ž “Right away, sir”.

πŸ“AlexπŸ“

“Is she not here yet? “. I asked one of my maid.

“Not yet sir”.

“You can go”. I said sadly.

I told my mum to plan with Dad so they can trick Tiwa here, saying am sick. And I have been waiting.

Maybe she won’t come. Am so sad. But wait… Seriously. Whats wrong with me?

The door bell rang breaking into my thought. It might be Tiwa.
The maid reached for it.

Just like I predicted. It was her. Clad in a black top, a handkerchief around her neck and wait. A trouser!.

Have never seen her in trouser and I must say she look good in it. It bring out her curves, she’s endowed.Just a light makeup, her hair was packed in ponytail.

“Hey… Dad said you were sick”.

“Ummm sick? I was not, am okay.. Why will he say that? “.

“Okay. Right then. How are you doing?”.

“Am fine, you? “.

“Yeah am good”.

My maid came and bowed. “Have set the table”.

“Wow that’s great. If you dont mind……… “. I said to Tiwa. Praying hΓ¦rd she agrees.

“Sure no problem”.

Perfect.I almost s’ræmed in joy. I push my wheel chair slowly towards the dinning.

She came to me. “Dont worry, i’ll help you with that”.

“Huh? Thank you”. She push the wheel chair gently toward the dinning room.

The table was full of delectable meals and drinks. Just like I instructed the maids.

“Hope you like it? “. I asked.

“Huh? Me? Yeah yeah”.

I watch her eat and I find myself admiring her. After the meal, I told her I needed fresh air so we went out of the house to the big compound. She push my wheel chair slowly.

What could be going on her mind?

“Alex? “.

“Yeah”.

“Do you know you can still walk? “.

“The doctor said so when I went for checkup, the last time”.

“It will only come to pass, if you make a move”.

“I don’t believe in that”.

“Common Alex, I believe you will”.

“Okay”.

“Is that a yes? “.

“A yes as how? “.

“I want to help you”.

“How? “.

“You try to stand and you’ll be doing that everyday”.

“I can’t Tiwa, I don’t believe”.

“Common Alex, please”.

I shrugged. “Okay”.

“Thank you.. Let me call one of your maid”. “Juliet!!!! “.

Soon the maid came out. We went over to my deck where a large tree was in the middle.

And Together with Tiwa, they made me stand. Tiwa was by my left and the maid by my right.

“A step at a time, dont worry. We’re holding you”. Tiwa said.

We continued doing that, even though I was stressed out. I couldn’t say we should stop. Seeing Tiwa holding me, makes me happy.

“Let’s see maybe we can do it together alone”. I said hopefully to Tiwa, maybe she’ll agree.

“Okay”. Thank God. The maid left. Making it, just Tiwa and I.

“Okay… One… Two.. Ready.. Yeap”. Immediately Tiwa held me up and Boom!. We both fell beside eachother.

Our face was just inches apart. Staring at eachother’s eyes. She’s so beautiful. Why haven’t I notice all this while. Why? She looked away and cleared her throat.

She sat up and help me sit too. “I think that will be okay for today. I’m going somewhere. Make sure you always practice everyday”.

“I can always practice with you”.

“I’ll be traveling to New York tomorrow. Your Dad wants me too”.

I suddenly felt very sad. “When will you be back? “. I asked before I could stop myself.

She stared at me for a while. “It just a week stuff and i’ll be back”.

“Oh okay”.

“Promise you’ll always practice”.

“I promise”.

She smiled at me and I returned the smile. Why the fΓ—Β’k did Dad have to send her to New York now. Why? Why? Why? Geez….. But why am I feeling this way? Whats this feeling?.
