💋 Chapter Three💋

Sally ran to Beauty and helped her up. Beauty was devasted, she felt like everything happening was nothing but a dream. A nightmare!

“No, no. This must be a dream!” She yelled and stood up. She roamed round the room.

“Beauty please calm down” Sally said softly, trying not to add to her wounds. She was also confused about how her face became like this.

“Sally, call the doctor! And my mom! Quick!” She yelled.

She went to the mirror and tried to pop the pimples but they were to strong.

She ran to the bathroom and bath with hot water. But there was no difference.

She sat on the bed with her towel, hugging her knees and crying softly.
“Why does this have to happen to me now? Where did it even come from?” She asked herself.

Suddenly, the door flung open. Mrs Jones ran into the room stretching her hands to hug her daughter.

She finally got to the bed and hugged Beauty.
“What the hell happened to your face?” She asked as she sat close to her.

Beauty started crying.
“I don’t know mom, I just woke up and the next thing. All these f–king stuff on my face!” She said sobbing.

“Oh Beauty, don’t be a cry baby. We’ll sort things out trust me. I have a friend in Spain. She is a doctor and she deals with skin..”

“Well, let’s go now. I can’t remain like this. Other models are so gonna mock me mom and I have a big event soon”

Before her mother could say anything, Sally entered the room with her doctor.

“Holy shit!” The doctor murmured as he walked towards Beauty.

She felt bad. She didn’t want anyone’s pity and she doesn’t want to be mocked by anyone especially her younger colleagues in the modelling industry.
They’ve made Beauty their number one enemy just because they aren’t as beautiful as she is.

Now, what’s next?

The doctor checked Beauty’s face and kept on shaking his head like something was wrong.

“I can’t figure out what happen. It looks strange and weird because the pimples are very big and strong. They can’t be pooped”
Mrs Jones stared at Sally.

“Pack her bags, we are leaving for Spain tonight. I can’t let my daughter’s face remain like this and do nothing” she said and swiftly stand up.

“I’m very sorry. But to me, it looks impossible”

“Thank you doctor. You can leave now” she angrily pointed at the door.

The doctor nodded and left the room.

Sally went to Beauty’s wardrobe and packed her things.
She kept on crying non-stop.

“What do I do now mom? I’m supposed to go sign the form for the nomination and if I don’t go, I’ll be disqualified”

“Do you want that or your beauty?”

“I want both!” She yelled and continued crying.

“Okay, I have an idea. Get dressed, I’ll take you there myself” her mother said.

Beauty nodded and went to wear something warm.
She didn’t understand how she got her skin to be normal and her face weird and ugly.

She wore a large scarf all over her head and a nose mask.
She didn’t forget the large sunglasses.

“Do you have to dress like this?” Her mom asked beauty as she came out from her closet.

“Let’s go mom. I’ll be back Sally!”
She said and left the room.

Her mom ran after her and got into the car.
“The head office!”

The driver nodded and hit the road.

Mrs Jones brought out her phone and booked two tickets online.
“Is Sally going with us?”

“No mom, she should stay back here and watch things for me” Beauty replied staring at her photos. She remembered when she was still beautiful.

She went online and saw the news about her being selected.
She don’t want that to be ruined.

“I just want the king of model industry to notice me and accept me into his company. I’m sure his wife and children will be proud to have such an hærd-working man in their family” she thought as hot tears ran down her cheek.

After an hour, they got to the head office.
The driver pulled over, Beauty wind down the glass and stretched her head outside she stared the modelling building. Very huge and beautiful!

This was the company she wished to be signed with. Only high class, popular and experience models sign here.
This was were Mr Dylan really stays. He owns this building and many more.

“What next mom?” She asked.

“Just wait. I need to call someone”

“Hey, we are outside already. I told you my daughter has a cold. She can’t get in”

“Please, try and do something. Fine, I’ll wait outside”

Mrs Jones disconnected the call and slipped the phone into her bag.

“He will be here any minute with the papers”

“Thanks Mom!” She said and hugged her mother.

“You should cover your face very well and not allow him see you”

“Yes Mom”

As Beauty adjusted her scarf, it flew out of the car through the window.

She stared round and didn’t see anyone.
She quickly ran after it as it kept on flying towards the entrance of the building.

She finally grabbed it but she heard some laughter behind her.

She swiftly turned and saw some ladies staring at her.

“Isn’t that Beauty?” One of them gasped.

“What happened to your face? You look so.. Ugly”
They bursted into laughter.

Beauty ignored them and wrapped the scarf round her head.

“Come in already!” She heard her mom’s voice and went to the car.

The ladies continued laughing as they entered into the building.

“Wait till I tell everyone one that Beauty is not longer beautiful”

The man ran out and handed the paper to them in the car.
“Quickly please!”

Beauty quickly signed and handed it over to the man.
“Get well soon miss Beauty!” He said and ran back into the building.

“Let’s go mom. I really need to get my face fixed” she said as she lowered her gaze.

“Okay. At least you are lucky that the competition will take place in two months time”

“Let’s go back home!” She yelled at the driver.

He quickly started the engine and drove off.

Mrs Jones knew how her daughter was feeling. She didn’t want to bother her so she decided to keep mute.

They drove into the compound. Beauty slowly alighted from the car and walked into the mansion.
She needed her beauty back, she doesn’t care what she does to get it but she needed it at all cost.

Sally gave her a glass of juice but she ignored it and walked up the stairs heading to her room.

“Once it’s time to leave, call me. I’m in my room” she said and left.

She got to her room and threw herself on the bed. She burst into hot tears s¢ræming into her pillow.

Her phone dinged, she picked it up and stared at the latest news.
“Beauty Turned Ugly!!”

She read the comments and saw that no one supported the news except her enemies and frenemies.
She saw the anger reaction on the post and smiled weirdly.

They needed proof to see that she was ugly.

Beauty threw her phone on the bed and cry herself to sleep.

Few hours later, she was on the way to the airport. Dressed as a thief!

She didn’t want anyone see her face or even have a glimpse.

She came down from the car and walked towards the airport. She felt weird and scared.

Her mom walked behind her carrying her luggage.

Immediately she stepped her feet into the airport, people started to notice her.
She increased her pace and waited in line for her ticket.

After she got it, she immediately went into the plane and sat beside the window still wearing her huge glasses.
Her mom sitting beside her.

“Beauty, just relax. I’m sure Sara can do something to your face and you will be beautiful again”

Beauty stared at her mom and smiled.
“What’s the time mom?”

“It’s almost 8pm. The plane will take off soon” she replied.

“Good, I’ll take a quick nap now” she replied and rested her head on the seat in front of her.

Her mom nodded and asked one of the hostess to switch off lights.

Beauty slept throughout the whole journey.
It was a 10 hours journey.

“Beauty, it’s time to get down already. We have landed” Mrs Jones as she gently woke Beauty up.

Beauty slowly raised her head and covered her face.
They alighted from the plane and went to board a cab to Sara’s hospital.
She was happy that nobody noticed her.

“This is strange. I’ve never seen anything like it” Sara said as she finished inspecting Beauty’s face.

Beauty frowned and stared at her mother.

“So, there’s nothing we can do”
Mrs Jones asked her friend.

Sara shook her head in reply.
“For the moment, I can give you a cream that you can use. Well, that’s if I works”

Beauty covered her face with her palm and started crying.
“It’s okay my dear, everything will be fine”

“Nothing is fine! My whole life, my career. Everything is ruined!” She yelled at Sara.

Sara sighed and turned her neck to face Mrs Jones.
“I’ll go get the cream”

“Beauty, you need to calm down. Don’t pour out your anger in anyone you see”

She didn’t reply, she turned her gaze away from her mother.

That morning, they flew back into the country.
Beauty cried throughout the whole journey. The news of her being ugly spread round the net like wildfire.

Some secretly took pictures of her at the airport. They added a caption.
“This seems like our beautiful Beauty. Why did she cover her face?”

“Beauty covered her face at the airport. Seems the rumour was true after all. Beautiful Beauty turned ugly”

Beauty burst into tear when she saw the news.
“My life is ruined!!!!” She yelled and fell on the bed.

💋 Chapter Four💋

Mrs Jones stood by the door watching Beauty as she slept soundly.
“Sally, take care of her for me. I have to travel to Africa for some business deal. I’ll be back next week”

Sally nodded and watched Mrs Jones as she walked out of the mansion.

Sally stared at Beauty as she slept. She knew how sad she was. Beauty loved her face more than anything in the world.
Now, there’s been a twist in her life.

Sally went to her special room and slept off.
When she woke up, she went to check on Beauty.
She was standing in her balcony smoking.
She smokes anytime she was angry.

Sally slowly walked towards her.
“My lady”

Beauty turned her neck and saw it was Sally.
“Where’s my mother?” She asked.

“Um, she said that she was going on a business deal in Africa and will be back next week” Sally replied.

Beauty nodded.
“Everything is all gone. Even my mom is leaving me. Very soon Sally would leave me”

“I’m not leaving you Beauty. I’m your friend and I’m here to support you during your good and your bad times”

“Oh shut up Sally. Don’t pretend to me”

Sally kept mute.

“Middle class people like you aren’t trustworthy at all” Beauty almost yelled.

“Look Beauty. I’ve been your friend for almost ten years. You treat me bad but I’m still here for you. What else do you want me to do? Do you want to hear something? I think this new change of yours fits you perfectly. At least you will know what it feels to be ugly and learn something new” Sally said and left the mansion.

“I was right, Sally would soon leave me. Now she has” she threw her cigarette butt on the floor and went back to her room.

She grabbed her laptop and searched for something online.
‘Weird ways how does people become ugly’

She read it and saw nothing happened to her. No one splashed acid on her, she didn’t eat anything poisonous, no one cast a spell on her, no one curse her…

Wait…

“Curse? The curse to become ugly. Is that a thing?” She asked herself.

Her mind went to the woman she met at the supermarket.
She remembered what she said about her being ugly.

“Oh no, I’ve been cursed. But I don’t understand why? I need to find that woman”

She stood up and ran to the door.

She immediately stopped. She forgot she had to cover her face.
She grabbed her scarf and went to her car.
She quickly covered her face and hit the road.

Beauty drove swiftly to the supermarket and parked her car in front of the supermarket.

She stared at the entrance she would see the old woman but she didn’t.
She was very short and plump. She looked very old because her face was ugly and has wrinkles on it.

“Oh no, where do I find that woman now?” She thought.

She drove home after waiting for a long time.
As she drove into the compound, she saw Jason waiting outside her house. He was leaning on his car waiting patiently.

She exhaled deeply and walked towards him.
“What do you want?” She asked.

Jason diverted his gaze to her and smiled.
“So what people were saying is true? What happened to your face?” He asked.

“Leave Jason. I don’t want to talk to you” she said and turned to head into the house.

“Look. I don’t care what happened to you. I still want to have you no matter what” he said.

Beauty swiftly turned and removed her scarf and glasses.
“Can you marry someone that look like this?!!” She yelled.

Jason mouth fell opened.
He was surprised, he didn’t know when he gave a sudden laugh.

“Yeah, laugh all you want. I don’t care”

“Seriously, if I were you, I’ll just commit suicide. How can you look so ugly?” He laughed and head to his car.

“I don’t think any man would want to get married to you” he said and drove off.

Beauty held back her tears. She ran into her room and continued crying. She thought about what happened between the she and old woman.

“I was rude to her. I get thing now. I’m very ugly, very ugly. I know the old woman was talking about my behavior” she paused and cried more.

“I need to find the old woman and change my ways. If that’s the only thing to get my beauty back”
“Now, no one would marry me just because I’m ugly”

Her phone dinged again.
She saw the latest news online.
“Indeed Beauty is very ugly. I saw her today”

People shared Jason’s post. He told the truth already.

People flooded into Beauty’s timeline and started questioning her.
“Are you really ugly?”

“What happened Beauty? Did you suddenly turn ugly?”

“I can’t wait to see your ugly face Beauty. I’ve been waiting for this day”

She closed her phone and dropped it.
She needed Sally back.

She picked her phone and sent her a message.
“Hey Sally, I apologise for whatever I said to you. I’m really sorry. Please come back soon. Love Beauty”

She felt really bad talking to her like that. She should just try and change her behavior, but how?
She has been a rude girl since she was a child.
It’s gonna be very difficult to change.

Sally was laying on the bed in her small room. She saw Beauty’s message and slowly sat up.
Beauty has never apologized to anyone before.
This is so unreal, she thought.

Immediately, she arranged some clothes in some bags and went over to her place the next morning.

.
She entered the compound and saw Beauty jogging into the compound.
She wasn’t covering her face at all.

Sally walked close to her with her eyes wide open.

“My lady, did you go out like this?” She asked.

“Yeah” Beauty replied panting.

“But why?”

Before she could reply, she brought out her phone and showed Sally what’s on her screen.
“To show them proof”

The news that she’s ugly was now tagged true.
She went out for people to see her and take pictures of her so that they could know that she was ugly.

Some of her true fans were saying that they won’t believe it till they see it.

“Oh no, my lady, you shouldn’t have done that” Sally cried out.

“Look Sally. What you told me last night was true. I really deserve this. I know what I did to deserve it”

“What happened?”

“Let’s go to the room. I need to make a live video first”

Sally shook her head and followed Beauty in.

.
She set her phone and stood in front of it.
She immediately started the live video…

“Hey guys, it’s me ugly Beauty. I know some of you didn’t believe it but as you can see now. I’ve turned really ugly. My enemies has finally won, they’ve gotten what they want. I don’t know what really happened but I hope I get over it soon…”

She didn’t finish before she quickly went off.
She started sobbing again.
Almost ten million people watched that video.
Some people were happy that she was ugly, some weren’t.

“OMG, I can’t believe that my favorite model is now ugly. I have to find another favorite one immediately”

“No matter what happens to you. You are still my favorite”

“Ouch, now the ugly beauty finally showed herself”

Sally read the comments to her as Beauty laid on the bed crying softly.

“You still have some people with you”

She slowly sat up.
“Do you think I’m rude?” She suddenly asked.

Sally turned her gaze and sighed.

“Sally, tell me everything. Tell me my true character”

“Okay, you are rude arrogant and kinda a spoilt brat” she said.

Beauty nodded.
“I see. I just need to change maybe I can get my face back”

“Oh no!!” Sally yelled.

“What?” Beauty also yelled wondering why Sally yelled like that.

“The head office said they regret signing with you. But luckily for you, you’ve signed even before the news got out”

“Yeah, thanks to mom. Look Sally. You need to help me”

“I’ll help you with anything my lady”

“First of all, call me Beauty not my lady. We need to find an old woman. When I went to the supermarket to get the ch¡ps and icecream. I bumped into an old woman and insulted her. I think she cursed me”

“Oh no! Do you remember her face?”

“I can find her once I see her” Beauty replied.

“This is gonna be very hærd, but I’ll help you”

“Thanks Sally” Beauty said and wrapped her arms round Sally.

Am old woman entered the young man’s room in an old and creaky house.
“Aren’t you going yet?” She asked.

“No. I’ll leave tomorrow. I just need to spend time with you granny” the young man replied.

“Ohh my son” she said with her shaky voice and sat with him on the bed.
She k!$sed his forehead and glanced at his phone.

She smiled when she saw Beauty’s picture.
“Finally, she has gotten what she deserves”

“Do you know this lady?” He asked.

“Yes. I made her ugly”

“What?? Why granny?” He asked.

“She is arrogant and rude. The only way for her to get back to her right sense is through this” she replied.

The young man stared at pictures. He looked at her when she was beautiful and when she was now ugly.

“I want you to marry her Dylan!”

The young man suddenly turned his neck and stared at her granny.
“What?” He asked almost in a whisper.
