For a moment Dave and Olivia stared at Rose from afar. She was an epitome of beauty, so beautiful to be taken by some rising bones of Defity. As they watched her, she carried a bucket and began to draw water from a well. She had no knowledge that she was being admired and talked about.
Olivia suddenly averted her eyes with a smile like an elder who has seen what a child cannot see even if he climbs the highest mountain.
“You sound like Romeo, young man” she said.
“Exactly, and that girl you see there is my Juliet” Dave pointed at Rose again.
“No doubt both of you gonna end up like Romeo and Juliet”
“Like i said my biggest fear is to see her dead”
They paused again and began to look at the young girl where she tried to put the bucket of water on her head. Only then did she see both of them staring at her as if she was on a stage acting a movie. Olivia averted her eyes again.
“The point is that she gonna die one day whether you don’t want to see her dead or you do. The only way not to see her dead is for you to pray that Defity kills you before her turn” she continued.
“You don’t get me” Dave adjusted closer to her with all seriousness. “I don’t want her to die even after my death”
Olivia looked at him. “Hope you know our history. We are doomed and forbidden. No one could save us or cross the inner gate except a descendant of Beshia. But unfortunately there is no surviving soul of Beshia. So if you don’t want your lover to die even after your death, go get a descendant of Beshia”
Dave ignored her explanation, he looked around like a child who is about to steal a meat from a cooking pot then lowered his voice. “Listen, i wanna know your secret plans on how to defeat Defity”
Olivia chuckled. “Are you deaf? I have no secret neither do I have plans to end our predicament” she stood up, dusted her butt and began to walk away. Dave followed her immediately.
“Lies, if you don’t have one then how did you know that Defity was coming the day you announced that everybody should hide? What were you actually doing at the inner gate?”
“It’s none of your business” she retorted.
Dave placed his hands in the pockets again as they were strolling. “I believe there is nothing that doesn’t have a solution” he began. “I also believe everybody has inner abilities but only few has discovered theirs and many did by circ-mstances” he stopped walking likewise Olivia who became interested in what he was saying. “Listen, Olivia, you may not have secrets or plans now but bet me, you will when Defity comes for your mother. And guess What, I’ll be the first to reveal that to you” he concluded and walked out at the very amazing sight of Olivia. She became dumbfounded trying to decode the message the young boy tried to pass to her but she couldn’t put a finger on it.

At night, darkness circulated the land of Jezra. All were expected to must had eaten dinner ready to go to bed.
In the other city, as Diego tried to figure out the message Elina passed to him, so as Olivia tried to find out what Dave tried to tell her earlier that day too. She stood beside her window remembering his statements. There is one which caught her attention: …YOU WILL WHEN DEFITY COMES FOR YOUR MOTHER AND GUESS WHAT, I’LL BE THE FIRST TO REVEAL THAT TO YOU..
She left the window to her bed. “What does he mean by that?” She began to think smartly. “First, he talked about secrets and inner abilities.. wait..” She stood up back to the window. “I got it, he has the ability to see the next to die in this village” she concluded the hypothesis which she will later test to be true.
On the other hand, Dave also stood by the window remembering how Defity took his parents from him. It was a day he would never forget; He tried to fight Defity physically jumping on her to let go of his mother only to discover she was a wind that can only be feel but cannot be touched. The thought of that got him shading tears and angry then he began to break every property nearby.
Rose heard the sound of the properties from their house where she was on a bed trying to get a sleep. She gently stepped down wearing a transparent night gown. She went towards the window to see where the noise was coming from.
However, Dave kept breaking and shouting in their house. Candle light which was the only source of light in the village hung at several angles thus, illuminating the sitting room and reflecting his shadow. Meanwhile, Rose had come, stood at the opened door with a candle light in her hand. Yet, Dave didn’t notice her presence. He kept breaking, sweating and crying. Suddenly, he stopped and gradually looked towards the door to see Rose staring at him in her white pyjamas. The ray of the candle light in her hand made her underwear and braless br-ast more visible. Both stared at each other without moving an inch…..

Diego sat in his parlour with a hot drink in his hand. He looked confused ranging from the colour of his eyes to his dressing; a boxers and a necktie without a shirt. He drank the remaining wine in the cup then kept the glass forcefully. “Now show yourself again little brat!” he shouted but suddenly remained mute thinking about Elina’s statements. “Jezra needs me.. I’m running out of time… Wait.. She first said that ‘she came here too..’ who is she referring as ‘she’? Oh my God, the guy I bumped on earlier today before the strange wind started made the same statement. He said ‘she’s here..’ who is this ‘she’?” he asked aloud.
“I thought your brain is empty” a voice came from behind. He turned to see Elina sitting with the television remote again.
“Don’t insult me little child. Tell me, who is this ‘she’?”
“She’s your enemy, you have to kill her before she kills you, and if she does, Jezra will be hopeless. You are the only surviving soul of Beshia”
“I don’t understand a single thing”
“I’m not your lecturer, please” she stood up and began to leave, just at the door she said, “Use your empty head”
“F-ck you!!” Diego threw a glass cup at her but she had disappeared before then thereby breaking it on the wall.

Back to Jezra, Dave and Rose began to make a move to meet each other. Just before they met at close range, Rose heard her mother’s voice shouting her name “Rose!” She stopped, dropped the candle on the ground then hurried out without saying anything.
Later in the morning, Dave woke up in a hurry, looked through his window to see people doing their daily activities. He stood up swiftly on the bed then began to dress up as if he had a very important message to pass to someone. But as he was dressing up, a voice came from a corner of the room saying, “I guess you’ve seen the next to die, haven’t you?”
He looked at the direction to see Olivia standing with her hands folded….
