A hand grabbed Raymond by the shoulder and pulled him back. He starggered losing his balance.

“Are you planning to get yourself killed?!” Jake snapped at him.

He was actually on his way to meet someone instead he saw Raymond lost his thoughts.

Jake frowned noticing his situation. Raymond’s whole body was shivering badly as he slowly sat on the floor.

His trauma.

“F*ck, Raymond” Jake went to hold him, his eyes were close. It’s been long it hit him hard like this.

“Where is your sedative?” He asked checking his pocket.

“I.. it’s not with me” Raymond stuttered.

“I told you to always hold it” Jake scolded.

“Hey!” Some touts came before them smoking dangerously. Their expression wasn’t friendly.

“What do you want” Jake asked. His hand was on Raymond’s shoulder whose head was facing the ground.

His past kept on replying in his head, his fist tightly clinched.

“What do we want?” The one who seems to be their leader chuckled. A cloud of smoke came out of his lips.

“Bring out all the valuable things you have then we’ll leave” he demanded taking his stick of cigarette into his mouth.

Jake look back at Raymond and stood. He pulled out some change in his pocket and stretch his arm towards them.

“Please leave that’s all I’ve got” he said.

Their leader look down to Jake’s hand and back to his face.

“Do we look like a begger to you? What the fuck is this?!” He snapped.

“Look man, you’ve got to go. I need to take care my friend..”

Jake couldn’t complete his word as a pinch land on his face. He staggered backwards. Two of the touts held him and punch his stomach causing him to fall flat on the floor.

“Search the other one” The leader ordered the tout with him and he obliged instantly.

The tout went towards the guy whose head was still facing the ground.

“Stay away from him!” Jake yelled but his stomach was kicked.

The tout made to touch him but was shocked when Raymond suddenly grab his hand. His Bloodshot eyes slowly moved up to the tout.

Raymond draw him close, kick his leg and then made the thug head collided on the floor. Blood ooze out of the his forehead immediately.

Standing, Raymonds adjust his neck. His eyes turned darker as he stood on his spot.

“What the F**k?” The leader muttered drawing out a small dagger in which he Bagan to attack Raymond with. Without effort Raymond dodge and grab his arm.

“Thanks” Raymond muttered. He twisted his arm, grabbed the knife, and bend to stab his both leg.

A loud resounded cry escaped the leader lips as he slowly go down to his knees. Blood gush out of both legs.

The other two holding Jake let go of him and ran away not looking back.

Raymond placed the knife on the leader’s neck.

“No!! Ray don’t!!!” Jake yelled madly at him getting up instantly.

Raymond spared him a glance before looking back at the guy in front of him whose body was already shaking in fear.

“Please don’t kill me” The guy stuttered. Tears run fown his cheek.

“Ray, you don’t have to do this. Let him go” Jake said.

Raymond’s grip on the knife tighten. He was trying hard to stop himself.

“Got any alcohol?” He forced himself to ask Jake.

Jake look around, he took one of the bottle of alcohol those thugs left behind. It was still new cus it was tightly covered.

“Here”

Raymond snatched it from him, opened it and pour the liquor into his mouth fast.

“Get out” Jake said to the guy kneeling on the floor. Not wasting a moment, he stood and left wobbling.

Raymond groaned out feeling the burn in his throat. His bloodlust reduced a bit.

“What happened?”

“I don’t wanna talk about it.. I’m fine you can leave” Raymond said in a hoarse voice turning to leave.

“I’m calling Elsa” Jake said taking his phone out.

Raymond grabbed his phone immediately and threw it away.

“What the hell? You could have tell me no.. that’s my second phone you’re destroying” Jake snapped. “Don’t tell me you and Elsa had a fight”

A car stopped before them and Ben got down immediately.

“Thanks Jake” Ben said. His gaze moved to the unconscious guy on the floor.

“Did you kill him?” He asked Raymond.

“No, I didn’t hit him that hard” he replied walking towards Ben’s car.

“I’ll call the ambulance” Jake said and watched Ben drove Raymond away from the place.

“Oh shit” Jake muttered remembering Raymond smashed his phone already.

Wilson intense gaze was on the two strange tattooed men before him, Brahms was sitting as if he own the place while Zeke was standing with a cold look.

“Nice apartment” Brahms muttered.

“I do have a lot of work waiting for me tomorrow so I’d like you to say what you want to say Mr Adams” Wilson called him by his last name.

“You know me” Brahms have an amusing smile the whole time.

“Who wouldn’t know the one man mafia in new York. We’ve heard about you. I just hope you didn’t come to California for an evil purpose” Wilson muttered.

“My ways are always evil. There’s nothing good in me” Brahms replied.

“Then I’ll find a means to bring you down then” Wilson said.

“You can’t bring me and Black Venom at once”

Hearing this, Wilson furrowed his brow.

“Don’t worry kiddo I’m after him too. He stole what’s mine and beside I’m curious on how he looks like”

“Do you think this is a joke?” Wilson asked coldly.

“Yes it is cus it’s fun. It’s like a hide and seek game played by kids. He is the number one most feared mafia and I hate that”

“What are implying?”

“I wanna bring him down too. I should be on top you know” Brahms smirked.

“And you expect me to believe that’s your reason?”

“Believe whatever you wanna believe in. The fact here is we can help each other. I get what I want from him, and you’ll get to arrest him”

Wilson went mute for a while.

“So what’s your say cop” Brahms asked.

~NEXT DAY~

Elsa thanked the doctor once more and grab her stuff. She tried Raymond’s number all over again but he still didn’t pick his phone.

She had wait for him all night, his hurt face was still in her head. Why was he asking those questions?

*RAY WHERE ARE YOU?*

She texted the ninth text to him before leaving the hospital. She went straight to his apartment but couldn’t find him.

Sitting on the couch, her gaze stayed on the ceiling.

She was missing him already.

Her phone buzz and Charlie’s message popped out.

*DON’T MISS SCHOOL TODAY. REMEMBER PROF LUCAS TEST*

After some minutes, she got back to the dorm to prepare for class.

“I’ll see around” Leonard muttered kissing Charlie’s forehead.

“Bye prince” she smiled.

Elsa eyes widened when she saw them.

“Leo!” She called running towards them. “Have you seen Ray?” She asked quickly.

“No, I thought he was with you” Leonard frowned.

“Yes he was with me last night and then he left all of a sudden. He seems disturbed” Elsa said.

“I’ll find him before your class end alright?” Leonard assured.

“Sure, thanks Leo” Elsa said while he only smiled watching them entered the building.

Izzy heard the conversation and smirked. “Fishy” she whispered leaving her spot.

“I found you” A deep voice sounded behind Leonard, his eyes wide recognizing the voice.

Leonard look back with a cold look.

“Dad” he muttered.

~STANFORD COLLEGE~

It has been an hour since the students had been on seat waiting for Professor Lucas but he haven’t showed up.

A woman came in to announce Professor Lucas absence, students began to leave.

“That’s strange, he never missed a class before” Charlie muttered.

Elsa’s mind was elsewhere. She couldn’t get Raymond’s hurt face out of her head. He didn’t even show up knowing she was not too well. That was unlike him.

“I’m sure Ray is fine” Charlie assured beside her.

“I hope so” Elsa said as they both head out.

~BEN’S PLACE~

“How long do you plan to be like this? You’ve not been eating” Ben said to the guy laying on the couch. His arm was covering his closed eyes with one of his left leg folded.

“As long as it takes” he muttered.

“You’re planning to kill yourself? I know it’s hard but what is done is done Ray” Ben stated.

“Let me be Ben, I deserve it” He mumbled. All he was seeing was Elsa, he just can’t get her out of his head.

“We’re going out tonight. I can’t leave like this” Ben informed.

Mikaela came out of her room. She is seeing the house as hers now.

“Is he okay?” She asked.

“No he’s not” Ben replied while Raymond only stayed mute.

“He’ll come back Elsa, I’m sure of it” Mrs Brown assured over the phone.

“I’m just a bit scared. I think he find out something about my father” Elsa mumbled.

“Your father?” Mrs Brown voice came out confused.

Elsa gave Mrs Brown a brief explanation Everything about the fire incident and her father.

Mrs Brown went mute. Elsa thought it was because of her sad story but it wasn’t.

“He suddenly began to ask about my father and the scar on my leg. He left after that and I’m not able to reach him” Elsa said worriedly looking down at the cup of juice.

“Everything will be fine, I’m sure of it” she heard Mrs Brown said then ends the call.

In Mrs Brown apartment**
After hearing everything Elsa said, her face turned paled.

“It’s her” she muttered.

*IF YOU NEED A SHOULDER I’LL BE HERE FOR YOU*

She texted Raymond knowing how he must be feeling right now.

~EVENING.. RAYMOND’S APARTMENT~

Elsa was busy distracting herself with a movie. She was just staring blankly at the screen. All she could think of was him, she was missing him badly already and can’t wait to be in his arm again. She miss his scent, his voice, his touch, his kisses, his teasing and everything.

The whole place feels empty without him. She just wish the door would just open, Raymond walked in and told her he loves her again giving her all the kisses she wants.

She hugged the pillow closer to herself with a sad look on her face.

The door bell rang and she spranged up and ran to open the door.

Her smiled disappeared when she saw it was just the pizza delivery man.

She had totally forgotten about the pizza she ordered, here she was thinking it was Raymond.

“Thanks” she smiled dryly after settling the guy.

Her phone rang after she had closed the door. It was a call from an unknown number.

“Hello” she answered walking further into the room.

“Hey Elsa, how are you doing?” She heard a strange but familiar voice. It was a female.

“Who’s this?” She asked.

“There’s no need for you to know me. I just want to tell you where Raymond is”

Hearing his name she dropped the pizza on table.

“Please tell me” she pleaded.

“You’ll have to owe me one” The female voice said.

“Yeah, just tell me where he is” she was getting impatient.

“Hallie club”

“Hallie?”

“It’s a famous club duh” the voice sounded and the call ends.

Why is Raymond always in clubs, bar or party?

Elsa pocketed her phone and stormed out of the house.

The club was filled with loud music, sweaty people and so much smoke.

Raymond sat around the corner with his eyes close.

He had been seeing her face every seconds and it had been driving him crazy.

‘I love you’ He wants to hear those words from her tiny lips and feel her ass and body again. Can he do this?

‘It’s your choice Ray. You can choose to let her go or try to win the battle’ Ben’s words echoed in his head.

He never deserves her even for a moment. He is the worse, he still can’t believe an angel like her fell for an asshole like him.

“Geez Raymond, are you going to be like this all night. You need girls” Clinton, Ben’s bud said sitting beside.

“Man get the f**k off him” Ben snapped at Clinton.

“Chill, I’m just trying to make him happy” Clinton said getting up.

“Yunno what would make him happy? It’s for you to stay away from him” Ben said and Clinton left shaking his head.

“Sorry Ray, he’s an asshole” Ben said sitting beside him.

“Sure he is” Raymond replied with his eyes still closed. “You know you should have left me indoor right. Bringing me here won’t change anything” he muttered.

“I can’t let you stay alone. Who knows what you might do”

“So Mikaela is your girl now” Raymond smirked.

“Oh no Ray, I told you I only saved her okay.. nothing else attached. Beside she’s not my type. She ain’t gat the ass and boobs I want” Ben joked and Raymond smile a little.

“Ray” A tiny voice sounded behind him and his eyes flew opened.

He turned his head just to see Elsa standing with anger written all over her face. She was wearing a black sweatshirt and a blue jean trouser and her hair was tied into a rough bun.

“Elsa” He stood up not expecting to see her here.

Ben was also shocked to see her. How did she find them?

Elsa walked to face Raymond. Her eyes begging for explanation.

“How did you..”

“Does it matter?” She cut in shaking her head lightly. “Why did you leave me, why aren’t picking your calls, why are you being like this? I tried my best to understand you and you’re not helping. I thought.. I thought something bad happened, do know how worried I was, not to see you all day? I thought you cared about me. Why are you here instead while I’m busy breaking because you..” Her voice began to crack.

Raymond lips stayed parted. He was trying his best to keep his face straight but her hurt face was like a thousand needle stabbing his heart furiously.

“I wanna heal you. I told you want to be your world. I know how cruel your past is and I wanted to help but you’re not letting me Ray…”

“Elsa!” he called causing her to stop talking.

She won’t be saying this if she finds out he once murder people, he kept that part away from her that night. He even killed her father. The worst part was, he nearly killed her too.

He could swear he almost put a bullet in her head that night.

“Tell me what’s wrong” she said almost as a whisper.

“Can you handle it?” He asked.

“Yes I will” Her eyes pleading.

Raymond suddenly chuckled. His expression was filled with amusement.

“You’re stupid Elsa” he muttered shocking her to her bones.

“What?” She muttered not able to process what he just said.

He raised his gaze towards her, his eyes turn serious and a cold voice came out of his lips causing her blood to dry.

“I don’t love you.. I never did”
