MITCHELL POV
I can’t believe it,I can’t believe that am k-ssing Luis right now,That am in the hands of the man I love and cherish so much
If he was k-ssing me it only meant that he was the same way with me
He loves me just like I love him,I thought as I wrapped my arms around him which brought him closer and made the k-ss even better.
“He is only k-ssing you because you look like his real love,The real Mitchell is the one he loves and not you” my conscience taunted me and that brought me back to reality
I moved away from him,Ending the k-ss.
“What’s wrong?”He asked surprised by my sudden reluctance
“You…..you are only k-ssing me because I look like Mitchell right,Your only responding because I look like the woman you truly love”I asked starring at him
“That is some thing I have to clear with you Mitchell, The Mitchell of this world is not the one I love,She is not the one my heart beats for,That was the reason I kept on sleeping around with a lot of girls because I never felt anything for her”
“But when you came it was different,You challenged me and made it clear that I was nothing but a womaniser,I found myself being intrigued,At first I thought it was really Mitchell,That finally she is being brave and making me pay for how I ignored her but when you told me about the book and yourself,It was then that I realised that you are some one different entirely”

“It was to keep you here with me,You were getting so riled up about leaving that I felt I had to find a way to keep you with me,So I made that deal with you”
“Peter going for a leave,Is also something you made up,So I wouldn’t be able to leave?”
“Yes, I made it up ,To keep you with me,To have you with me”He said
“This feels like a dream”I said almost to myself but he heard and he moved close to me
“It is not a dream Mitchell,Feel it,It beats for you alone”He said putting my hand on his heart
“I love you Mitchell,I only love you”He said resting his fore head on mine.
I moved out of his arms and ran back to my room,clicking the bolt to prevent anyone from entering.
I can’t believe this! He loves me,He loves me,I thought as I smiled to myself
“I love you Mitchell,I only love you”I remembered his words and I began to laugh out loud
To any one who would see me now,I might look like a crazy person but I knew that its happiness,Am so filled with happiness,That I can just explode.
A knock on my door brought me back to my senses
“Are you alright Mitchell?”He asked
“Yes……yes am fine”
“Open the door so I can confirm”He said
“No,Am Fine Luis,Just don’t worry,Go and have your sleep”I said
“Okay,Good night……My love”He added as he walked off
I took a shower and got into bed,Preparing to sleep but sleep didn’t come.
For a long time I stayed awake,Still wondering if what he said at the beach was just a dream.
“I love you Mitchell, I only love you”His words rang in my head again and I smiled
“He really loves me and i love him too”I muttered to myself happily .
Still not being able to sleep,I decided to go downstairs to get some water.
I was heading towards the kitchen when I saw two maid there,I was about going in when I heard what they were saying.
“Its his majesty birthday tomorrow”
“I know right! Just as always he wouldn’t celebrate it”
“Birthdays are meant to be celebrated but he never celebrates it,To him it’s just like every normal day”
“I think it’s some thing about his past”
“Tell me more”
“I once heard nanny Martha talking about it,His birthday is the same day his parents died,It was an accident,An accident which he survived while his parents died, He kind of blame himself for it and that’s why he never celebrates it”
“What a Sad story”
I left the kitchen to go back to my room, Luis must have suffered a lot after his parents death.
He doesn’t even celebrates his birthday because it’s the day his parents died.
Was that the reason why he asked me to come here with him,I thought as I walked past his room
“Mom! Dad! Mom! Am sorry……please don’t go………”on hearing his voice,I went into his room
He was on the bed,Sleeping but he was having a dream and judging from his expression,It was a sad one
“Mom!”He yelled loudly and woke up.
He had sweat all over and he looked pale and Sad
He turned saw me “Is some thing wrong Mitchell?”He asked
“Sorry that I came in without knocking but I was passing by and I heard your voi…….Are you okay now?” I asked
“Yes,Am okay”He replied
“Very well then,I will go back to my room but if you need me,Just call”I said walking off
“I do need you Mitchell,I need you more than ever”He said stopping me in my tracks
I turned to stare at him and it was then that I saw the vulnerability in him,He looked so sad and lonely and it was all due to the dream he had.
“Stay with me,please! “He begged.
I wanted to tell him that it was not a good idea but I found myself going towards him.
“Are you sure you want me to stay?”I asked and he nodded again.
I sat on the bed and used the bed cover to cover our body,I made his pillow for him and asked him to lie down
“Won’t you lie down too?”He asked
“I will rather sit like this and watch over you”I said gently touching his fore head
“You are hot Luis,I better get some cold water and…….”
“No Mitchell! Please don’t go”He said holding my hand
“But I need to…….”I couldn’t finish my words because he pulled my hand I fell on top of him.
“Just stay here with me,All I need is you”He said
“But you will get sick Luis”
“I won’t! You are here with me,I won’t”He said and held me tighter
I let him hold me and to draw strength from me But I kept wondering about the accident.
I could tell that it really caused so much pain for him,I thought starring at his closed face.
“Ask me whatever you want”He said suddenly,His eyes still closed
He could tell that I wanted to ask him some thing.
“Its about…….I better not,You wouldn’t want to tell me”I said and he opened his eyes
“Just ask me”
“Its about your parent and your birthday”I said and his expression changed
“Its fine if you don’t want to talk about it but I will always be here whenever you are ready to talk about it,So let’s just go back to sleep”I said and closed my eyes
“It all happened on my 5th birthday”He began and I opened my eyes to stare at him
“Mom and dad as usual had prepared a party befitting a king instead of a prince”
“After the party ended,I told them that I wanted to go to the zoo,They had both asked me to make it another day but I cried and made a lot of fuss and they both gave in”
“We were heading to the Zoo in dad car when suddenly a truck came at us,It all happened so fast…..the next thing I knew was that I was in an hospital and three days after the crash,They told me that both my parents died on the s₱0t,It was a miracle that I was alive”He finished as he sat up
I sat up too and stared at him, His eyes were full of tears and I knew that it was hærd for him to hold it in
“You see why I can’t celebrate my birthday! Its also the same day my parents died,I caused their death,I don’t deserve to be happy”He said as the tears drop from his face.
This is the very first time,I see Luis so down and sad.
I felt his pain too,Tears were threatening to pour but I stopped it,I had to be strong for him,He needs me now more than ever.
I went towards him and pulled him to me,Hugging him while he cried his out heart out.
When I felt that he was feeling a bit better,I said
“It must have been hærd for you right? You were just a child Luis,So don’t blame yourself any more”
He released his hold on me and stared at me
I gave him a reassuring smile before saying again “You grew up to be a very good and noble man,You help your people and do your best to see that they are comfortable,You are some one to be admired,Am sure that your parents will be proud of you”
“You deserve to be happy Luis,so don’t think that you are destined to be unhappy for the rest of your life and besides you have me now,I will always make you happy and you must do your utmost best to make me happy too,I won’t settle for less”I said car-ssing his cheek and I was rewarded with a smile.
Just then the clock chimed twelve on the dot and I smiled brightly at him.
I knelt on the bed and k-ssed his forehead before saying gently “Happy birthday My dear Luis”
