Episode Twenty Two.

🍒Zara’s pov🍒
I was on the couch with a video game remote in my hands. Damon was right beside me as we played together.

“Give up already” I beamed hitting all the buttons on the remote at once.

“I was easy on you last time. Not today ma’am” he grinned.

I glanced at the flat screen TV and saw he was really beating me up with his avatar.

“Damon…How can you be this mean?” I asked and suddenly, I burst into tears.

He paused the game and turned to me.

“Aww. Am sorry queen” he said and k-ssed my hair.

I sniffed.

My emotions are getting the best of me. It’s because am at the peak of my pregnancy. I’ll be giving birth in no time.

“You just want to kill me like that?” I wavered and he chuckled.

“It’s just a video game. I’ll never hurt you love, that’ll be the last thing I’d ever do” he said tucking my loose hair behind my ear.

He helped me up and we went to the bedside.

I sat on the bed and he knelt before me.

His hands were on my tummy.

“How are you feeling?” He asked looking straight into my eyes.

I twitched a little.

“Am…fine” I replied.

“I can’t wait to see my son” he revealed happily.

That made me smile.
Am pregnant with a boy.

Am so happy I’ll give Damon a son as our first child.

“Do you feel sleepy?” He asked and I nodded.

He helped me lay on the bed with my big bulgy tummy poking against my T-shirt.

🍒Gloria’s pov🍒
I glanced at the nice dress I was done with it. It’s so pretty and I bet the owner will like it alot.

I struggled with clothe as I put it in a white bag.
Having one arm can be extremely painful and stressful but am getting used to it as time goes by.

I smiled remembering what one of the maids told me this morning.
Queen Zara is pregnant!

Am so happy for her.
I can’t wait for her to give birth and her baby’s photo will be all over the news.
I’ll be able to see a second Damon.
How beautiful their child must be. She’ll give birth soon.

🍒Zara’s pov🍒
Damon and I sat on the bed as the royal doctor read from the file in his hands.

“The baby is sure to come very soon. All we have to do now is to await his arrival. And I suggest for Queen Zara to be admitted at the hospital first thing tomorrow morning” he stated and I couldn’t help but worry.

I have to stay at the hospital?
Will Damon stay with me?

“Oh…” Damon muttered like he was in a deep thought.

“But…Doctor, can’t I give birth to the baby here? At the palace??” I asked blandly but he shook his head.

“For the safety of you and your baby. In case anything goes wrong, the facilities, drugs and Anyother thing needed to revive you will be at arm’s length” he replied smartly closing the file.

I sighed.

“C’mon Zara. I’ll be there with you till you’ll go into labour. Don’t worry about it too much. you’ll be fine, okay?” Damon said rubbing the hand he has been holding the entire time.

I nodded.

“Alright. I trust you love” I cooed with a wry smile.

He turned to the doctor.

“You can leave now, thank you” he said and the old man bowed and left.

“Kris will be alright. Don’t worry” he assured rubbing my cheek.

I chuckled.

“I know…and…” I paused when I felt the a soft movement in my tummy.

I gasped.

“It moved!”.

“Really??” Damon asked looking stunned.

“Yeah! Feel it” I snapped and took his hand placing it by the side of my tummy.

“Wow…he must be really strong” I beamed.

“Of course. He inherited it from me of course” Damon boasted and I laughed.

He kicked this time and Damon gasped, his hand still on my tummy.

“Hang in there son. You’ll be out soon. Just hold on” Damon said and k-ssed my tummy.

I held his head and slowly, I dropped my head on his and k-ssed it.

I can do this.
Give birth to the future prince of this kingdom who will imitate his father’s ways and be very kind, gentle and treat a lady with respect.
I’ll make sure of that.

Episode Twenty Three

🍒Zara’s pov🍒
I walked into my ward with Damon by my side. We’ve arrived at the hospital which means time for me to be isolated.

The hospital is heavily guarded and it seems like even the marshalls and police are all around the place. Five guards were placed at the door of my ward which is at the highest part of the building.

My tummy was feeling extra heavy and each step I took weakened me more.
You should see me now..
Am definitely not the Zara I was 8 months ago. This pregnancy has made me bigger and quite plum.

He helped me sit on the bed and I winced.
I felt the baby move alot and kick at the same time… But there’s really no need to panick, right?

“Do you need anything?” Damon asked still holding me.

I shook my head.

“Am just feeling so uncomfortable! Can you talk to the doctor for me? Please ask him if there’s any drug he can give me now so I can have this baby right away” I asked and he exhaled sharply.

“Hold on Zara. Let the baby come when it’s ready, okay?” He asked looking at me with so much care in his eyes.

“Am sorry love. It’s just that the pain is starting to hurt me alot” I muttered looking down at ny legs which was hurting as well.

Is all this happening because it’s ny first child? Or is it cause it’s a boy?

I gulped thinking of the worse that can happen.

“Kris will be alright, right?” I asked Damon touching his hand on mine.

“Prince Kris is alright” he replied and I dropped my head on his shoulder wincing at intervals.

The pains stopped for a while but resumed again.

There’s no doubt am having this baby today.

I couldn’t help but worry. Zara’s been taken to the hospital. Am just finding out now…
I just want to he close to her.

She needs me.
I need to ve beside her and tell her it’s all going to be alright. Let her know giving birth can be easy once she’s strong and knows what she’s fighting for.

Am just returning from a journey to the neighboring kingdom.

I don’t even know what to pack for the hospital. Food… Clothes… gosh!
Am going crazy.

I returned to my bedroom to take my purse when suddenly, I felt a presence in the room aside from mine.

I looked behind me slowly and gasped.

A lady was standing there at the s₱0t with a bat in her hand. Before I could react, she hit the bat on my head and I collapsed on the floor.

I wasn’t unconscious yet. My head was hurting and spinning at the same time. I rolled on the floor.

The stranger watched me for a while before going to the door. I heard sounds of keys dangling. Oh no!
She locked me up.

I couldn’t even stand.
My head was on fire.
Who is this person?

🍒Zara’s pov🍒
I paced around the room taking deep breaths. I had my hands on my wa-ist as the pains was becoming damn much.

Damon was on a couch operating his phone. I’ve been walking around like a crazy person.

Suddenly, I felt water release from my private part. I gasped.

“Damon, my water just broke. Get the nurses” I said taking deep breaths.

He hit a button and in no time, three nurses and the doctor rushed in. I was taken to labour room and placed on the bed.

A nurse brought a towel and a bowl filled with water and dropped it on the drawer.

The doctor wore some gloves and spread my legs.

I watched the nurses run around for a while.
They were all wearing nose masks so I couldn’t identify them.

I kept p-nting like someone who just ran a long distance race.

“Queen Zara…take in much air… Now push” the doctor ordered and obeyed pushing with all my strength.

I scre-med holding onto the bedsheet.

“Push h-rder” he ordered again.

“Aaahhhh!!!!” I gro-ned p-nting.

A nurse wiped my face with a towel.

I couldn’t stop p-nting.

“Push!” He yelled and I just shook my head negatively.

Am so not ready for this.

“You’re almost there your highness..now push!” He said and this time…
I gave it my all.

I closed my eyes and all I could see was a little Kris in my arms, laughing.
That gave me much hope and I pushed like I’ve never pushed before.

Instantly, I heard a tiny voice of a baby crying.
I smiled p-nting.
My baby…
My baby is born.

“Congratulations queen Zara. You have a healthy baby boy” the doctor said and I nodded weakly.

My head was spinning and I could still feel pains around my v.

💫💫💫A second later💫💫

“Where’s the baby?” I suddenly heard and my eyes flared open.

I stared at the doctor and nurses.
Where’s the third nurse????

“Where’s my son!????” I yelled though I had little strength in me.
