Episode five

🍒Zara’s pov🍒
I woke up early the next day to do my chores when the chief maid stopped me.

“Am giving you an off today. Go and rest” she said nonchalantly.

Really??

My ears must be deceiving me.
This lady dislikes me alot and is always harsh.

Maybe she’s playing a prank on me.

I tried to take the mop and she stopped me again.

“I said leave it and go back to your room? Are you turning deaf??!!” She yelled obviously pissed off.

What did I do?

I bowed my head and left the s₱0t.

“I don’t know what you gave the king to eat, you little snake” she muttered but I heard her loud and clear.

So King Damon ordered this.
Why?

I left for my room in Shame.

🍒King Damon’s pov🍒
I ordered a guard to buy Zara good clothes and shoes to wear. Even nice set of nighties.
I still feel bad and guilty for what happened.
I still don’t know how to make it up to her.

I feel like killing my friends.
They’re the cause of all this mess.
If only they weren’t so childish and love playing pranks.

I feel quite empty in,side.
Am married but I damn feel single.

I have to let Gloria go,
I might as well never find true love.

🍒Mary’s pov🍒
It’s like my work got doubled and it’s true.
This is really happening.

Am doing Zara’s chores for her while she’s in,side doing nothing.
Why is she being treated like she’s royalty all of a sudden?

I can’t just sit back and watch her over throne me in this palace.
Our destinies might now be the same but my light is sure to shine brighter.

I left for the room to get my cell phone.
Zara was on her bed just quiet and looked a bit pale.

Suddenly, a knock came on the door and a guard walked in.
He was carrying a big blue pretty shiny bag.
Wow…

Could it be for us?

He walked straight to Zara’s bunk and handed it to her.

My jaw dropped.
Seriously??

She looked suprised and shocked too.
She looked into it and gasped.

I bet it’s clothes that are in the bag.

The guard didn’t say a word and he left.

I drew near to her to take a look at what the content in the bag was.

Whoa…

Nighties*
Pretty dresses*
Shoes*
Heels*

I was gobsmacked..

All for Zara!

I looked closely at the bag.

It’s from one of king Damon’s company.
Could it be it’s from king Damon

🍒Zara’s pov🍒
Oh my God!

I can’t believe this reality.
The clothes looked so fancy and I had no idea if I should cry or smile.

King Damon.

I know he sent this.

He must be feeling guilty and thinking of a way to be in good terms with me.

But no.
I can’t accept this.
It’s almost like he’s paying me for satisfying his urges.
Am not a pr-stitute.

I noticed Mary looking at me and it made me feel awkward.

She monitors my every move like she’s admiring me or something.

I left the bag jot minding her weird stares.

I walked past queen Gloria’s room.
When will she be back?

I went to king Damon’s chambers.

I don’t have the guts to come uninvited but am not sure he would hurt me,
Would he?

I knocked on his door and he opened up.

🍒Zara’s pov🍒
Our eyes locked and I that was when I recovered myself.

“Hey” he said going into his room.

I reluctantly followed him in.
I don’t want to be seen in his room.

He was wearing a pair of white flip flops as he approached his bed standing beside it.

“Um…actually, I want to return these. I..I don’t need them. I already told you, I hold no grudge against you. That night was a mistake” I said trying to find the nice words and sound polite.

He sent his hand to the back of his head.

“It’s a gift not a salary” he said.

“But…”

“I insist. Keep them” he said calmly.

I was dumbfounded.
He really wants me to have all this with nothing attached.

I smiled.

“Thank you sir. Am grateful” I mumbled.

He tilted his head and went to his closet.

I happily left the room.

🍒Queen Gloria’s pov🍒
I applied sun cream on my smooth skin.
I was at a beach with my lover. There was no one else nut the servants attending to my needs.

Wow,
Being a queen is divine.

I never imagined my life would turn out this way..
I don’t want to loose this special treatment meaning I have to keep Damon to myself, no matter what.
When am done with mt short vacation.

I’ll return to him and finally give him access to my body.
Mom and I have planned that I’ll find a suggorate mother for my child.

I’ll have to pretend being pregnant till the baby is due.
Risky business right?

I’ll do anything possible to remain queen.

My family need the wealth and I need the honor.

I smiled as my lover sat behind ne and starts to m-ssage me.

Days later…
🍒Zara’s pov🍒
I woke up late in the morning cause I was sick.

I had fever and king Damon ordered for me to rest as much as I want.
I can’t help but get worried.

Some maids are beginning to think there’s something going on between the king and I.

I try to ignore the gossips.

I sat up on my bed watching the maids put on their uniform respectively.
Mary walked to me and handed me a bottle.

“Good morning Zara. Since you’re sick. I bought you an energy drink to help you get well faster” she said.

Whaaat?
Are my eyes and ears deceiving me?

Mary,
Is it really Mary?

I was speechless for a moment.

“Okay, thanks” I muttered.

She smiled.
“Make sure you drink it before breakfast” she instructed and left the room.

I chuckled.

Why is Mary being so nice?

I waited till the room was empty before going to the bathroom to have a bath.

I was done before I headed to king Damon’s room to mix his bath for him and help him get ready cause today was sort of an all kings meeting.
I held the energy drink in my hand.

I entered the room and met him stepping out of the bathroom.
Oops,
Am late!

He was done bathing and in his sparkling white towel.

He smiled a bit on seeing me.

“I told you to rest for the rest of the week. You’re still sick” he said.

I nodded feeling despondent.

He used his right hand and lifted my face to look at him.

“Don’t worry. I’ll take you to the doctor once am back from the meeting. You’ll get better in no time” he said softly and drew close.

He was just a breath away.
He k-ssed me and the energy drink I was holding fell to the floor.

His tongue did things I couldn’t understand in my mouth.

He lifted me up and headed for his big comfy king-sized bed.

This k-ss was sure leading to something else😱
He undressed me and trailed k-sses all over my body.
I shuddered at his touch.
