” Take a seat dear ” Tyler said pointing to an empty seat.

” Dad what’s going on, why is she here ” Darrell asked Idly.

Tyler and Olivia exchange a glance they choose to ignore him and Olivia smiled at Tanya and then pointed to a seat coz she was still standing.

Tanya obeyed and sat down, she slant Darrell a glance with smile on her face.

” Mum and Dad why is she here? ” he inquired again, infuriated that no one was explaining to him.

” Son can we speak for a moment ” Tyler said.

” Let go to my room. I’ll explain everything for you ” he added.

Tyler stood up as well as Darrell and Darrell followed him. They started towards Tyler’s room.

” So dad am listening” Darrell said eagerly as they arrived in the room.

” Seat down son, let’s talk this over ” Tyler urge.

Darrell took a seat on his room sofa and Tyler sat on a table.

He cleared his throat and began with out looking at Darrell.

” I ran into my old friend Mr Ted a week ago and…..

” You mean Tanya’s father, I know him, can you at least go straight to the point ” Darrell cut in impatiently.

Tyler sighed.

” I know Tanya was your ex. She had told us everything ” he said.

” Did she reveal to you also, that she cheated on me ” Darrell said with a wry curve on his mouth.

” Yes, but she as repented for that. We’ve accepted it ” Tyler shrug.

Darrell was confused he wonder where all this was heading to.

” Dad please enough of this hide and seek talk. Can you tell me why she’s here ” he said with a frown.

” I want to merge with his company. But by doing that you’ve to get married to Tanya. That was the deal will make ” Tyler spill the beans.

Darrell was shock and at the same time infuriated.

” Darrell you can take time to think of this ” Tyler said, his eyes were at him now.

Darrell snap out of the frozen moment and stood up roughly.

” You want me to marry her because of some stupid deal you’ve with her father ” Darrell growled.

” It’s not a stupid deal. Will need that deal. It really important. You know about the little challenge will having with the market this days. His company will be a best of help Darrell. Am not gonna push you too soon, you’ll take as much time as you want ” Tyler pointed out, ignoring his son tantrum mood.

Darrell couldn’t believe it. The fact that his dad was going gung ho of getting him married coz of a piece of stupid deal, make him more furious.

” Dad so you wanna use me for some of your self business interest ” he fired.

” Son please don’t do this. Just get married to her. Beside you where ones in love with her, you can learn to love her after marriage ” Tyler said.

Darrell shook his head.

” What of if I refuse ” he asked.

Tyler close his eyes with his fist clenched and open it up.

” Don’t think of it Darrell ” he warned softly and Darrell furrowed his brow.

” Dad get even with the fact that I won’t let you goad me into your scheming plan, whatsoever. I refuse to be baited to this stupid deal you’ve with your so called friend. My relationsh¡p with Tanya is over ” Darrell snapped and Tyler snarl at him.

” Son, you’re my eldest son and I expect you to do what i want” he was almost yelling at Darrell now.

Darrell refuse to be sidetrack.

” And am not a kid to be goad to do what I don’t want. For God’s sake I’m twenty six dad, I’m an adult that can make my own choice ” he pointed out furiously.

” Darrell like I say I won’t push you too soon. Take your time on this and….

” You’re right , you won’t push me, but you’ll be waiting indefinitely coz am not falling into this”

” You’re overreacting ” Tyler accused grimly.

” Overreacting how dad? ” he blurted out angrily.

Tyler choose to ignore him.

” Son give this a thought. It’s for the growth of our company ” he said.

” Last time I check you’ve two other son. Manuel and Markus , can’t you pick one of them to do your baiting stuff ” he tossed icily.

” Manuel and Markus ain’t right for this…they’re both so irresponsible. If I present one of them and am sure to lost this deal”Tyler stuttered.

” Then so be it ” Darrell declared and Tyler glared at him. He had nothing else to say, but he’s make sure Darrell accept this.

” Son please accept it ” Olivia voice could be heard over the door.

She materialized forward and touch her son’s cheek.

” No need to be angry ” she soothing.

Darrell remove her hands and put them back in her side.

He turn to his dad.

” Dad not only that I refuse to be use as a bait…he began with a sigh. We was going to unmask his lover.

” I already found someone I love” he said and that sent Tyler’s eyebrows up staring at Darrell squarely.

” Do you mean it ” he said disappointedly.

” Yes I do, I know y’all will be shock to see her. But she is already my heart desire. I want only her ” he said.

” Who’s she?? ” Olivia asked.

” You’ll find out once we’re downstairs. I’ll unmask her ” Darrell declared and both Olivia and Tyler exchange a glance.

He said nothing as he left the room they trailed behind, both wondering who the woman is.

” Natalie ” Darrell called out loudly.

Darrell was determined today to unmask her before everyone, especially Tanya. To tell them how serious he was. He won’t care of what they’ll think. He don’t care if they accept it or not. He just wanna follow his heart, since they brought marriage up, he have to do this now.

” Wait what son is she” Olivia exclaimed with shock.

Natalie could heard Darrell calling out her name continuously and she shuddered wondering why he’s calling out her name like that.

Natalie and Beth were both coming back from the garden that their often hang out.

” Sir Darrell is calling out to you. You better go answer him ” Beth said.

Natalie went shakily and when she had a sight of him. She saw his entire family and a new lady.

Darrell smiled at her. She wonder what was going on.

” Please Natalie can you come down ” he said softly, assuring her with his eyes all will be fine.

Natalie swallowed and shakily went downstairs. When Natalie was downstairs, he lean closer to her take her hands.

Natalie felt some knot coiling in the pit of her stomach. She swallowed the lumps on her throat again and shuddered as they all slant her a shocking glance.

” She’s the one ” he announced with a confident smile.

” She’s the one after my heart ” he added.

Natalie wish the ground should open up and swallow her just right this moment. She never foresee this all. She couldn’t believe Darrell will end up acting this way. How’ll she save her job now.

” You love her what? ” Amber blurted out shockingly.

” Oh brother you’re quite odd with your choice” Manuel tease and Markus chuckled.

Darrell choose to ignore them and he was waiting for his dad and mum to snap out of their frozen moment. Tanya who was shocked before was now furious.

” Did he replace me with a maid ” she mutter in a low whisper.

” Darrell what sort of stupidity is this ” Tyler barked at him with a stern.

” You should tell this to the witch who bewitched my son ” Olivia said sarcastically, her eyes was on Natalie she slant her a deadly glance and Natalie shuddered again.

” Mum she isn’t a witch, whatsoever. She is the woman I desire to be with, not Tanya ” he bit out desperately.

Tanya stare at Darrell and then to Natalie. She was hating Natalie already. She feel insulted that a maid will take over her man.

” This is madness. My son in love with a housemaid ” Tyler murmured.

” So this is the reason brother. You’re always coming to her rescue coz she as been sed-cing you. What a bitch ” Amber said shaking her head.

” You better stay off of matters that ain’t met for you. You’re still young and maybe when you come of age you’ll understand. I’ll advice you to stay of my business. Stop using the word Bitch. ” Darrell warned and she frowned with her fist clenched.

” Why should she stay off and let her elder brother way off with this lousy maid. She is right am very sure she had sed-ce you and you have fall for it ” Olivia blurted out infuriate at Natalie not her son.

She is only angry at Natalie not her son.

Darrell sigh deeply.

” I know no one will accept my choice. But I need to remind y’all that I don’t care. I love her and wanna spend my life with her. The sooner you try to accept this, the better coz if I don’t have her, I’ll take no one else” Darrell declared.

” But Darrell she’s a maid ” Tanya was force to speak, not liking the blunt declaration in his last statement.

Darrell smiled at her.

” Yes she’s and also the one that hold my heart. I love her and only her. The sooner you try to accept the better for you Tanya ” he said as politely as he can.

Tanya was furious and her anger was all rested on Natalie. She felt like going to her and land a thunderous slap in her face, but she have to control herself coz Darrell will be there to protect her.

” I can’t take this insult ” Tyler said and left their presence and then headed upstairs.

” Darrell why this ” Natalie said after a moment of silence.

Tanya and Olivia eye her deadly. Annoyed that she even have the gut to call him by his name.

” So you call him by his name” Olivia yelled at her and she’d flinched.

” Yes she does, coz I ask her to ” Darrell defended.

” Son this is madness. Please shake off from her spell ” Olivia said.

” Yeah Darrell. How can you replace me with her. She is just a maid and for crying out loud you’re a multi billionaire and what if the press have to find out about this. This will be so embarrassing for you and your family ” Tanya pointed out.

Darrell glared at her.

” Tanya you should know your limit. What part of I don’t want you, you don’t understand. Don’t worry about what will happen to me. I’ll deal with it myself ” he bit out.

Tanya felt more provoked she could stand it anymore, she decided to leave.

” C’mon Markus will got better things to do. Will need to be in the club now ” Manuel whispered to his twin and they both left.

Olivia and Amber remained.

” You shameless maid, you got no shame. Get your ass of my house, you’re fired ” Olivia barked at Natalie.

” Please ma’am don’t fire me ” Natalie please and Amber furrowed her brow provoked that she got gut to please.

” She is going no where mum. I’ll see to it ” Darrell challenge. But all of a sudden Natalie broke free from Darrell and ran. She was heading to the entrance door.

Darrell ran after her and called her name repeatedly, but she ignored him. However Darrell caught up with her and held one of her hand. He toss her around to face him and his face was just a centimeter away from hers.

Olivia and Amber came out and saw them staring and was very furious. It was almost dark already.

” Let go of me sir. I need to leave ” Natalie blurted out trying to break loose of Darrell, but he pay her a deaf ear.

” If you wanna leave let me drop you in my car. It nighttime already ” he said.

” Darrell ” his mum called loud and he turn to her. She was approaching in a speed. Natalie break loose and ran. He turn and saw her running and as he was about to run after her his mum held him by his hand.

” Son please stop this. Let her go ” Olivia pleased.

” Mum I do love her. I honest do. I want to be with her ” he blurted out and yank himself from her grip and then ran after Natalie again.

He came to an halt when he s₱0t her anymore. His head went left and right but he couldn’t s₱0t her. Darrell decided to use his car to look for her and then he rushed to his car.

” Darrell please stop this ” Olivia pled with him, but he ignore her and hopped into his car.

Olivia saw another alternative to stop her son. She stood at the front of his car as he was about to drive.

” Damn it ” Darrell cuss hitting the steering wheel.

He alighted immediately and scurried to his mum.

” Mum what’s this. Why standing in my way ” he blurted out.

” You refuse to listen to me. I got no other alternative”Olivia snapped.

” I got to find her ” he bit out frustratedly.

” I don’t care. If you choose on finding her, I’ll stand in you way ” Olivia threatened.

Olivia knew her son can’t ran her through. No good son like Darrell we even think of doing that.

Darrell ruffed his hairs frustratedly. He regretted ever been so over confident. His over confident as backfired him today. If he had a slightest hint that what he had done will flare out of his control, he would’ve knew for the start that he handling that way was not the right way. Now how’ll he find her. He only knew few things about her. He don’t know where she lives, he didn’t bother to ask her.

May while Natalie was already in a cab. She got home and alighted.

She was about living when the cabman reminded her of her payment.

” Ma’am my payment ” he reminded.

” I don’t have cash in me. Let me get in and I’ll ask her for the money please ” she said.

The Cabman think she wanna play a trick on him and ran with his money. He came down angrily.

” Do you think I’m stupid. I know you wanna play games with me. If you got no cash why getting into my cab” he blurted out angrily.

” I just need to get in and ask my mum for the money ” she said surprised at the cabman outburst.

” How am I sure if you get in there you won’t come in. Have been play so many times, I won’t fall for it this time ” Cabman said.

” If it pleases you can you come with me” she said.

Judy who opened the door was surprised to see her at the door.

” Why are you here? ” she asked.

” I’ll explain later. Do you’ve cash with you. I wanna pay the cabman” she said.

” My money is 200dollars ” the cabman said.

Judy went in and after a while came back with cash. He handled it over to the man and the man went away.

Natalie had explained her ordeals to her mum and sister. She told them everything.

” Stupid rich people. Why can’t they accept that both of you’re in love ” Judy frowned.

” First Judy. It’ll be hærd for the rich to accept the poor. And secondly i didn’t recall telling you that I loved him ” Natalie said.

Jeanne was silent all through.

” I don’t feel bad at all. Am sure Darrell will come for you. He’ll help you. He won’t rest until he finds you ” Judy smiled.

” I hope he doesn’t ” Natalie bit her lower lip.

” He’ll. And am sure you love him too ” Judy said searching her eyes for some evidence.

” I don’t love him okay ” she denied. Natalie had come to know that she love him. But the problem here is that she don’t wanna accept him.

” You…

” That’s enough for today. Let get some sleep. Natalie must be tired after what happened ” Jeanne said with air of authority.

Judy left for her room and Jeanne urge Natalie to take some rest.

Natalie was calling Beth with Judy’s phone soon after breakfast. She wanna ask her if she could help her bring her stuff for her. Since she brought nothing.

📞 ” Beth can you help bring my stuff for me”

📞 ” Yeah sure. Luckily I’m going to take a leave tomorrow. So I’ll bring them tomorrow ”

📞 ” One more thing ” Natalie said.

📞 ” What’s that ” Beth asked.

📞 ” If sir Darrell ask for my place don’t……

Beth cut her short

📞 ” Sorry Nat dear. I had already told him of the location of your place. You see he called me to his room and asked me. Since he knew I was close to you. I’ve no choice than to tell him. He really loves you. I can see it ” Beth said

Natalie sighed . She was about replying her when the came a knock on the door.

She swallowed hærd as she stood up from the parlor sofa and went to open the door.

Lo and behold it was Darrell with a smile on his face.
