Darrell was in Cole’s car. His car had stop working before half way to work. Luckily he met Cole his friend and Cole welcome him in his car.
Cole decided to take a shortcut. Cole saw those men surrounding Natalie.
” Look at those men surrounding that lady ” Cole pointed out to Darrell.
Darrell arched a brow, he didn’t have a proper view of the woman. Her image was blur to him coz the car was far from the woman. But he knew that they were dangerous men because they were armed.
Cole halt the car.
” They’re armed. Cole call the cops. I’ll see what I’ll do to help this lady ” Darrell said.
” Don’t try to act as a superhero, those goons are armed ” Cole said, while he dug his hand into his pocket and brought out his phone.
But Darrell was out of the car already. He ran towards them.
” Hey back off ” Darrell yelled and punch the one of them at his temple.
And then he had a proper view of her.
” Natalie ” he mutter and two of the men were coming closer with knifes.
” Watch out Darrell ” Natalie sheik as one fired the attack. He held that one on the hand and use one of his free leg to give the other one a good kick, sending him to the floor. The rest two came to attack and Cole had ran toward them and then smash and Kick and punch.
Natalie watched them with terror as they were smashing and kicking the armed men.
Before Natalie could warned Darrell one of them stab Darrell at his back and he gro-n in pain.
” Noooo ” Natalie yelled.
She scurried to the other one who was about to stab him again. She pushed him and he fell.
One of the men who was in the floor, sprung up immediately and rush to Natalie. He held her and then place a knife around her neck.
Natalie heart race not for her, but for Darrell who was now lying in the floor with blood gushing from his back.
” Stop it or I kill the lady ”
Cole ebbed and gasped as he saw Darrell in the pool of blood.
The two men held Cole hands and the one stood near Darrell.
Dizziness shun on him, he raised his weak eyebrow at him. He wanted to get up but couldn’t as he was getting weak.
” Let go of her ” Darrell gro-n weakly.
Just then they heard siren sounds and the men panicked. The two men freed Cole immediately, the one who held Natalie realized her.
They ran towards the woods. Natalie and Cole scurried to Darrell who had now lost consciousness.
Natalie sheik as she shake Darrell rapidly and telling him to open up his eyes. The cops car had came to halt beside them and they alighted from the car quickly. They rush to them.
” They flew to that direction” Cole pointed to the woods.
Some of the cops run into the woods in search of the and two carried Darrell up and roll him into their van.

Natalie sat down on a chair and Cole was beside her.
Natalie reflect on how Darrell had always come to her rescue. He had saved her from loosing her former job and had risk his life to save her life.
A cry burst out of her throat as she acknowledge the fact that she might’ve hurt him in so many ways. She loved him and she kept on denying him.
This is the man who had gone extra miles just to save her life. It’s enough she’ll not hurt him any farther. She won’t keep denying the fact that she love him. She’ll confess to him what she felt within. And if problem arise they both will fight it together.
Natalie was sniffing and Cole patted her shoulder. She haven’t met him before but guess he was his friend. Neither as Cole met her before. But he also guess she was the woman Darrell loves.
” He’ll be okay, have fate in your love ” Cole soothing.
” I want him to be alright. I can’t forgive myself if anything happen to him. He had risk his life this time around and get himself into danger. And all I ever done is to keep denying him my love. I won’t survive if he dies ” Natalie breathed out painfully.
” I have knew Darrell for a long time now. What I know about him is that he’s a fighter and am sure your love for him will make him fight this thing true. He isn’t lazy ” Cole said.
She was about saying something when s₱0t Mrs Olivia, Amber and Mr Tyler approaching. She inhaled and exhale as they came.
” What’s happening here. Where is my son. ” Mrs Olivia asked Natalie and Cole.
” Ma’am the doctor is attending to him. Calm down ma’am ” Cole said.
Mrs Olivia wasn’t in the mood now to throw words at Natalie. Her mind was all on her son. So she ignored Natalie for the main time.
” What really happen Cole? ” Tyler asked Cole.
“He was jab with a knife ” Cole replied.
” Because of this witch my brother is in this condition ” Amber bit out sarcastically.
” You shouldn’t blame it all on her Amber. And this isn’t the right time for this. Will need to know if Darrell will be fine. All other things can wait ” Cole advice.
Natalie didn’t say anything, neither acknowledging the fact the Amber called her a witch. She was battling with her own restless heart.
The doctor came out.
Olivia, Tyler and the rest hurried to him.
” How is my son ” Olivia asked.
” He’s alright now. But unconscious. You can go to him now. But careful not to disturb him if awakes ” the doctor said.
Natalie was the most happiest. They all rushed in.
Natalie was almost going to cup Darrell’s face. But she halt on her way coz Olivia was there cupping his face and crying.
Natalie felt a hand wrapped around her wrist painfully. She wince and turn. It was Amber she look at Natalie ardently.
” You need to get out ” she order rudely and drag her out.
Natalie maintain her balance and Amber locked the door against her.
She stood there not knowing what next to do. But she was determine on something now. That no one will stop her from being with Darrell. She’s ready to fight for her love now.
Cole came out immediately and saw her going away. He hurried to her.
” Please don’t leave now. I know they don’t want you. But you think only of Darrell. They shouldn’t matter to you ” he said.
” Am leaving for now. But I’ll be back later. And don’t worry. I’ll stay with Darrell. We both will fight this through ” Natalie said and Cole smiled.
” Wow I love your spirit ” Cole remarked.
” Can we exchange numbers. When he’s alright can you give me a call. I’ll come over ” Natalie said.
” Yeah sure” he said as they both dug their hands in their pocket and brought out their phones.
They exchange numbers and Natalie left.
The moment she arrived home. Cole gave her a call and told her that Darrell had regain consciousness.
She was happy. She clutch the phone to her chest and decided to prepare something special for Darrell.

Natalie was back at the hospital. She saw Olivia, Tyler and Amber getting into their car. She didn’t see Darrell following them so she assume he was still in the hospital. And was happy at least she’ll have time to tell him how she feels and then feed him with the bacon she prepared.

She got to the ward Darrell is and inhale and exhale before getting in.
Their eyes met and Natalie smiled shyly to him. She went closer to him and sat beside him.
” Natalie ” he called as he stare at her with love glistening for her eyes.
Cole who stood there excuse himself and let them alone.
Natalie took his hands into hers and a tear came to her eyes.
” Darrell ” she cried.
” I never thought that someone could love me like you do, but guess what? I love you that much too. I love you Darrell, I love you ” she said finally.
Darrell was silent for awhile and then a smile flick his l-ips.
” I love you Natalie. You’re the element that will complete my life. You don’t know how long have been waiting for you to say this. God bless this day ” he said softly as he raised his head for a k-ss.
She accept his l-ips all delightedly. When Darrell had redrawn his mouth. Natalie plug in and they both were spinning in their love.
The door opened and Tanya came in. She froze to a s₱0t as she saw them k-ssing.
