It was time for the flight and Tanya had already texted her.

She was outside her house waiting.

Natalie left a note on the parlour desk. She was busy sniff her eyes seems puffy. She had cried a lot.

Will her family forgive her ?will Darrell forgive her? this will always be in her mind. Those answer will never be solved.

She hang her bags properly,one hang on her shoulder and one rolling on the floor and she shaking walked towards the door.

” What took you so long ” Tanya asked mockingly.

” It seems you and so much in haste to get rid of me Tanya. Don’t worry I’ll be gone soon, happy ” Natalie said.

” You look so helpless” Tanya eyed her mockingly as he saw her puffy eyes.

” You make me helpless Tanya. But I bet you’ll be more helpless when Darrell rejects you. I’m sure he won’t even look at you not to talk of loving you ” it was her turn to mock.

” Hey just shut up and get in the car ” Tanya fumed clenching her fist,she look pissed and Natalie chuckled a bit despite her been miserable.

Tanya hopped in to the car. She frown as she saw Natalie still standing.

” Didn’t you hear me” Tanya said coming out of the car.

” Am not your servant which you can order around” Natalie shot back.

” I know what you’re doing. You wanna delay the flight so you can spend more time with Darrell. If you don’t get into the car,you know what will happen ” Natalie fold her hands and arched a mocking brow.

” You desperate thing. Can’t you see I’m with my luggages. Where am I suppose to put them when you have not yet open the truck,hmm ”

Tanya stiffing a oath sigh before she went to open the car truck.

They arrived at the airport and Tanya had followed her just to make sure she won’t escape from the airport.

Tanya was standing from afar watching her as Natalie place her bags in the baggage scanning machine. Then Natalie proceed to the waiting room.

Judy woke up feeling taste. She sat up and check her jug. It was empty. She toss aside the duvet and made her way downstairs with touch and the jug. She went to where the light switch and switch the light on.

She was about moving when her eyes caught the letter Natalie left on the table.

She was curious to know why the paper was there. She pick it up and flick through it.

Dear family

Mum,Judy please am sorry. I hope you find it in your heart to forgive me. I never wish to,but I have to. Mum, Judy am gone. Don’t know when am coming back coz am out of the country. I left you and the man i love. It painful and am sure I’ll cause you a lot of pain. But be strong all of you. Judy take care of mum.

I love you guys. Please don’t cry much after reading this.

Judy couldn’t believe what she just read. She went through it again and shivered.

” Mum ” she yelled.

Natalie was still in the waiting room. Waiting for her number to be called. She have been crying and all those waiting have been looking at her pitifully. She seem to notice them staring.

” Why are you crying dear ” a old woman was force to asked.

She couldn’t answered tears blurred her speech. When she try opening her mouth to speak nothing came out.

” You look so sad. Your eyes are red and puffy ” the old woman said with concern.

” I h…ave to le….ave the pe…ople I ca.. re about the most ” she mange to say,but blunder all through.

” Why do you’ve to go ” Old lady asked.

Natalie managed a forlorn smiled.

” I have to save them ” she replied.

” Was….

” I don’t wanna discuss this to a strange. But ma’am thanks for your concern” she said solemnly.

” Sorry for prying into your affair. But what I would say is that you shouldn’t cry like this while boarding the plane. You’ll feel week dear ” the old lady cooed,reminded her much about her mum.

Her mum will always solace her if she is this kind of situation. She was the best mum and she felt bad for leaving her behind.

What about Judy?

What about Darrell?

She was picture Darrell hating her after he finds out. The thought was killing her. With the way she look pale she mightn’t make it to Australia.

She decided to also text Darrell,the least thing she could do now is to inform Darrell about leaving him.

” Darrell am leaving. Am leaving you and everything behind. Am leaving the country. Please Darrell find it in your heart to forgive me. I pray and hope some day you might find someone who is strong and not a weakling like me. Sorry Darrell for not able to keep to my promises. Am afraid I’m too weak. Goodbye my love. Take care ” she wrote and with shaking fingers she send it.

Darrell was in his bed. He was still awake. The reason why he was still awake is that he got to finish a confidential file.

He was done with the file he tossed the file aside and took his phone went through is gallery and found Natalie’s picture.

He smile as he stare at the picture. He so much love her. He couldn’t wait to propose to her. He was about putting the phone down when his phone beeped.

It was a message from Natalie.

The phone almost fell from his hand. He look startled and shock at the same time. He read the message again and he just smiled.

He assume and assure himself that Natalie was playing a prank on him. His smile fade as something register on his brain.

‘ Natalie is not a prank type. And who on Earth will prank their partner in that way’.

He called her,but she didn’t answered. He ruffed his hair.

” Did she meant it ” he blinked rapidly.

Then he text her.

🧾” My love is this a prank? When did you become a prankster? ”

Minute later he received her text again.

🧾 ” Sorry Darrell. Am really leaving ”

Natalie switch off her phone. Judy was already calling her and she don’t wanna them.

Just then they called her number and she slowly got up with her mind lost walk.

Tanya was in her car now. She was gloating to herself.

” Natalie you’ll never come back. I have already seen to it ” she smiled crookedly to herself.

She made a phone call.

📞 ” Have you and your team had the bombs planted on the plane ” Tanya asked.

📞 ” Ma’am the work was successful. We’ve the plane planted before boarding it and no one suspected us.Everyone on that plane will die ” the person in the other end.

📞” Whoa ”

📞 ” Yes ma’am it will explode few minutes while in the air ”

📞 ” Eric am so happy. I’ll double you guys payment for making me proud ” she said happily.

📞 ” Thank you ma’am. We will always be on your service ” the person cheer excitedly.

Tanya hang up and smirk.

” Natalie do you think am that nice. No way. Am either nice not stupid. I know definitely something will push you back someday. So I have no choice than to kill you. You won’t even reach Australia before you death. Rest in peace,whatever. Finally I’ve Darrell to myself. ” she said inwardly and left.

Darrell quickly got up,grab his car keys from the table and scurried out of his room.

He met his mum on the way. She was just coming to his room.

” Son were are you running off to ?” Mrs Olivia asked, because she saw he was in a hurry.

” Mum later please ” he said without looking at her and scurry through the stairs.

Mrs Olivia followed him.

” Son I know it because of that maid. Is high time you stop this madness. We’ve enough ” she said. Darrell was at his car now. He ins**t the keys and hopped into the car.

Darrell start ignition and drove the gate opened by itself as he drove to it.

Mrs Olivia just stood there pissed. Even if she had stood in front of the car. It was off no use coz he definitely go another day to meet her.

What is so exciting about the maid,she wondered.

She smiled as she remembered something.

Tanya had told her she would get rid of Natalie. And she inform her about the plan of sending her away out of the country. But Tanya had not giving her details on her she would do it.

Were she was happy that she wanna fight for her love. Tanya had also told her she would handle everything,that what stopped her from going to warn Natalie and her family to beware of her son.

” What of if this is the reason why Darrell is hurrying to meet her ” she smiled to herself. Her instinct was telling her that he was going to look for her. Anyways she would call Tanya to confirm.

She was in her room. She dial Tanya’s number and called her. She did pick the call immediately.

📞 ” Tanya you forgot to give me update. So have you finally get rid of her ” she asked hopefully.

📞 ” Yeah Mrs Olivia. I finally get rid of her completely. She won’t be able to come for ” Tanya gloat excitedly.

📞 ” Meaning she have left the country? ” Olivia asked for reassurance.

📞 ” I watch her leaving Mrs Olivia ”

📞 ” Am so excited. Finally. Tanya you’ve made me proud ”

📞 ” Ma’am am only doing this to get Darrell. At least this is the first step. Natalie the maid is out of the way. The second step is on how to win Darrell’s heart ”

📞 ” You’ll surely win Darrell’s heart. Am sure of it. You didn’t only help you saved mine and my family’s reputation. How’ll I tell my highly influential friends that my son is going out with a maid ”

📞 ” Well is a good thing the maid is out of the way ”

📞 ” Yeah is a good thing. My son will come back to his sense. I’ll go tell Tyler when he comes back tommorow ” Olivia said can’t wait to inform her husband.

Tanya put down her phone. She was in her room and she was smiling crookedly to herself because she was convinced that the bombs have explode by now.

She already tune the TV to a news channel. Eagerly waiting for them to announce the news of the explosion of the plane to Australia.

Darrell halt in Natalie’s house. He was sure Natalie was playing a prank on her. So he came to her house to confirm. He hope all this was just a silly prank.

Judy and Mrs Jeanne heard tyre screech. They were both in the parlour crying.

Judy quickly look at the window. She saw Darrell hurrying to their home. The street light made her able to see him clearly. She quickly went to open the door.

” Why are you crying where is Nat ” he said and Judy hugged him and wept. She pull her away and cupped her face.

” Why are you crying. Is Nat okay. What happened??” he said ,not wanting to believe that they’re crying because Natalie as left the country.

Maybe they were part of the prank too,he thought.

” Darrell she as left for the country ” Judy said in between tears.

” Is this some kind of joke ” he mutter shakily,not wanting to believe them.

” No is no joke Darrell. She left the country and I think she went to Australia” Mrs Jeanne said.

She just remembered she heard Natalie talking to someone over the phone after some minutes Darrell left. She didn’t hear everything she said. She just heard few and when she inquired about it. Natalie as told her that her friend wanna go Australia and she let it drop.

” I overheard her over the phone talking to someone. I just heard three words ‘ Going to Australia ‘ and when I asked her about it. She told me a different story. I didn’t even suspect anything ”

” Nat had also switch off her phone ” Judy broke down into another round of tears.

” There are only two main international airport in Chicago ” Darrell mused and dug his hand into his pocket and brought out his phone.

📞 ” Hello Edward is me Darrell ” he said trying to rush is speech to get to the point.

Edward was is manager. He had called him because Edward had took a leave because he wanna take his family to a trip in Australia. We was also on a night flight.

📞 ” Hello sir ” he replied.

📞 ” When is your plane taking off ” Darrell asked hoping that he had not board the plane yet.

📞 ” We arrived late for our flights and it’s a good thing. If not I and my family would have been died by now”

Darrell frozed

📞 ” What do you mean ? ” he sounded disoriented.

📞 ” The plane for Australia hd exploded. Turn your news on. You’ll see what happened today. Am sure because the media have already airing what happened in the airport ” Darrell hang up immediately.

” Please t-rn on the news ” Darrell said rapidly. His heart was trembling.

Judy did as he said.

📺 The headline.

” Today we report about a explosion of a plane which was going to Australia in Chicago Midway Airport . It was said the plane got exploded few minutes on the air and after some investigations the cops found out that they were bombs on the plane “the newscaster explained.

Jeanne,Judy and Darrell frozed at the same time. They kept staring mutely at the TV.

Mrs Jeanne collapse to the chair and she made a loud cry. Judy went to comfort her.

” Mum am not sure is that particular airport Nat went to. They’re two international airport. Maybe is the other airport ” She sniffed.

” You’re right. Am sure is the other international airport” Darrell agreed bitterly. Because he don’t wanna believe that Natalie the woman he loves got exploded among the plane.

” But they is just one international airport located in the south. It’s near Illinois. I don’t think she would board the one in the north side. When she stays in the south or Natalie why did you go ” Mrs Jeanne said and stop as tears blurred her speech.

” Mum please think positively. She might just board the one in the north maybe ” Judy said.

” I know the airport manager in the other airport. I’ll call him and asked him ” he said just as Judy he also believes she might have took the other airport. He really hope so.

📞 ” Hello Mr Eugene is me Darrell Nee ”

📞 ” Oh sir it as been a long time. How’ll be off help to you ”

📞 ” I just wanna some inquiry. Did the O’Hare airport have any flight to Australia”

📞 ” No,the only airport that as a flight to Australia was the Chicago Midway Airport ” he said and Darrell felt his heart in,side his mouth,he remain mute,absentmindedly listen to the rest of the his words. ” But i just read on the news not quite long ago that the Australia flight was exploded someone… ”

Darrell’s phone landed on the floor and his eyes w¡den. He couldn’t believe it the woman he loves gone.

“No way,it can’t be ” Darrell yelled out ruffling his head in a furstarted manner.

” what can’t be ” Judy rushed to the him, but Mrs Jeanne remained glue to the seat as she kept on crying.

” Natalie no,no,no you can’t leave me. I can’t leave without you. What about the promise we both made. ” he shouted and then breakdown in tears.

” Finally the maid is out of the way ” Tanya laugh wickedly to herself.
