” Do I smell something burning ” Mrs Jeanne stated.

” Holy shit ,the muffins ” Judy snap out of her day dreaming and rushed to the kitchen and after wearing the kitchen glove and she remove the muffins from the oven and started couching. Everyone troop in.

They were burnt. She had totally forgotten about the muffins coz she was carried away by her sister’s shocking presence.

Everyone started couching.

” O..oh , let’s get our of here ” Judy said and started couching again.

They left.

” I was preparing vanilla muffins when Natalie just sudden walk in and that made me forget about them ” Judy shrug.

” Is alright. But you be extra careful because things like this can lit the full house and that will lead to fire breakdown ” Kris advice .

” Sure ” she smiled at him akwardly.

Don’t know what is going on with her. She was just looking at his eyes and when he gave her a furrowed brow she glance away. She narrowed her eyes shyly.

Natalie notices it. They kept on discussing and she notices the way Judy looks shy when Kris always turn to her direction.

” Ugh !!! ” she exclaimed inwardly and smiled.

” Why the smile love ” Darrell said,he notice her smiling when nothing if such they were saying amuse her. So he was wondering what was making her smile.

” O…oh is nothing love. Its just that am happy am back with my family after so long. It just feel great. You don’t know the battle i face when I remembered I left love ones behind ” Natalie said.

” That’s in the past dear. We are so happy that you’re alive. I never knew this day will come. Am so happy ” Mrs Jeanne said, she clean a tear that came out of her eye.

” Y’all love me a lot that why you guys forgave me so quickly. But I can never forgive myself for what i did to you guys. I cause a lot of pain ” Natalie said forlornly.

” Like I say is in the past. Let’s move on alright ” Kris said.

” That’s enough dear. Kris is right ” Darrell rub her shoulder as a way of soothing her.

” Am fine now. But not completely. We need to make Tanya pay first. Until then I’ll be able to relax ” Natalie counted.

” Kris you can’t stay here right. I will suggest you to my farmhouse. Do you like the idea. You can stay there for the two weeks ” Darrell offered.

Judy felt trouble in her stomach as she absurd the word ‘Two weeks ‘. Gosh what the heck is wrong with her. Why so bothered.

” Of course i can’t stay here. Okay I’ll stay in your farmhouse until then ” Kris agreed.

” Why can’t you stay here they’re reserved rooms here. The apartment is big enough ” Mrs Jeanne said.

Kris sighed.

” First rule for a man don’t stay in a home that’s not yours ” Kris said.

” You totally made that up , didn’t you. The farmhouse also belong to Darrell ” Judy said.

For some reason that’s beyond her. She actually wanted him to stay.

But why ??so crazy

” Yeah it does. But it doesn’t seems right for me to stay here with you. In case you don’t know am a guest. Guest don’t stay with their host. They leave immediately after everything is done ” Kris shrug.

” But you’re mere a guest. You’re like family after been good to my daughter for many years. Don’t dare call yourself a guest ” Mrs Jeanne smiled at him.

” Why are we forcing to stay here if he doesn’t want to ” Darrell ch¡pped in.

” alright. You stay wherever you wish to ” Mrs Jeanne.

Judy look disappointed. But she didn’t show it.

” Gosh am so gonna hit my head on the wall. What as been happening to me. This guy is older than me” she was pissed at her own self suddenly change of behavior.

” I’ll go check on the kids now ” Judy said, getting up on her feet. She need to get away from the awkward situation.

Kris winked at her and she suddenly turn because a blush she couldn’t control came to her cheeks immediately. The damn guy should stop winking,she thought helplessly.

Unknowingly to her Natalie was observing her and she saw the blush on her face.

” Cheeks going red,ugh ” Natalie smiled again.

” There you go again with this weird smile “Darrell said lifting his brow playfully at her.

” Oh stop it ” she slap his cheeks to the other side playfully.

Mrs Jeanne and Kris chuckled and it was Natalie’s turn to flushed.

” Please Judy wait ” Mrs Jeanne said and Judy who close to the stairs halt.

” come give the kids snack first,while I go prepare lunch. Oka cheese and dumplings with some vegetables for lunch ” Mrs Jeanne said.

” Am okay with everything expect veggies. I don’t eat veggies ” Kris stated.

” Is alright. You can just eat the rest ” Mrs Jeanne said .

” If he don’t like veggie I think I will stop eating them ” she thought.

” Oh damn why should she give up veggie for some damn cute dude “.

” Natalie come with me to the kitchen and let’s make it together ” Mrs Jeanne smiled at her and Natalie return the smiled.

” I’m surprised ugh. Polar bears don’t cook. How can Natty cook ” Kris teased.

Judy and Mrs Jeanne was surprised that he refer her as Polar bear.

” That’s Natty nickname I gave her as a kid and she gave me puppy ” Kris winked.

Damm this dude why doesn’t he stop winking,Judy sighed.

” And puppies don’t wink all the time ” Natalie frowned playfully.

Honestly, Darrell was getting a bit jealous now.

#Nighttime 🌌

Darrell and Kris were leaving tommorow. They only stayed for a night.

Natalie was just covering the kids. Nora and Kristen were sleeping together at one big bed. The reason is that their visit was unannounced. They couldn’t make any arrangements for the other rooms to be properly taken care off and beside Kristen have the phobia of sleeping alone. Only little Darrell that seems okay with it. He was sleeping in his own room.

Everyone as gone to bed except Darrell and Natalie. Darrell had texted her to come over to the balcony.

” Hello sweetie ” Natalie said happily and she didn’t except Darrell’s k-ss. He immediately plug his l-ips in immediately he turn to her.

” So you call me just for that ” Natalie said wrapping her hands around his neck.

” Of course. I wanna express my feelings for you. In other word, I wanna be alone with you. We haven’t been together since we arrived ” Darrell said placing his hands on her wa-ist ,and both were dancing to no music in particular.

She chuckled.

” It just a day ” Natalie said still chuckling.

” Even if it so. I’ll always miss you every minute that I spend without have a time together ” Darrell said softly ,his heart pounding for love.

” Ugh!!what about work. Surely you’ll be leaving for work too. What about then ? ” Natalie shrug.

” And what made you think I’ll not die to see you. I mean it every moment that pass I can’t take it ” he said looking so serious that Natalie was force to giggle. She was shut by his k-ss and when he redrawn she plug her l-ips again.

They both were enjoying the cozy night.

Darrell as taken Kris to the farmhouse. Natalie was on the phone with Darrell seating in her room. The kids were in the garden with Judy helping with watering the flowers. Mrs Jeanne was cooking dinner since it was gonna be dinner time soon.

📞” Natalie i got good news Tanya as not yet come back from her trip. I was just inform, she’ll be back three days time to Amber’s birthday ” Darrell informed.

📞 ” Were prefect ” Natalie smiled.

📞 ” Well is prefect for me, because if she was here I might just decide to strangle her ” Darrell said firmly.

📞 ” Oh my love take it easy. You don’t have to be like her. Karma is gonna catch up with her soon , I bet you ” Natalie said.

📞 ” Well still i might strangle her. She shouldn’t even think of coming my way of trying one of her silly tactics on me “he miffed.

📞 ” I said take it easy. Have a bit of self control. Loosing control can ruining everything ” she advised.

📞 ” I definitely don’t wanna ruining the plans ” Darrell sighed.

📞 ” Am coming over ” Darrell informed.

📞 ” Just to see the kids ” he added

📞 ” Just to see the kids ” Natalie mimicked.

📞 ” Obviously also an excuse to see you”

📞 ” Okay bye see you. I love you ” Natalie place the phone in her mouth as she yelled it.

📞 ” Do you know your voice looks like the screech of an owl. I heard you clearly no need to shout my ear out ” Darrell teased playfully.

📞 ” Are you gonna tease me or say it ” Natalie said laughing.

📞 ” I love you ” he said softly.

The way he said it made butterflies jump in,side her tummy. Her cheeks went hot and red.

#Days_later.

Darrell was in his office talking to his assistant Jeremy about business when Tanya barge him.

Darrell eyes glistening with anger. It was a will power he suppressed to hold it.

This devil thinks she can just barge in any time she like. Soon she won’t be braging in when she gets locked up.

Honestly,he feelings like strangling her. The woman have cross her limits.

” So you took my daughter to leave with those low life’s ” Tanya frowned and Darrell glared at her.

He wants to shout at her and tell her he knows everything , frightened her that she was doomed. But that will be dangerous , because the woman is so evil.

” You don’t have time for her. So why should you care about her whereabouts ” Darrell said sternly at her.

” Whatever ” she rolled her eyes.

She handed a envelope to him and he open it.

” A court case of parental custody ” Darrell snarl.

” Yes sure. I wanna fight for my daughter “she said waving her hair backwards in a proud man.

” So you can use her to blackmail me. That’s is you do blackmail ,and you’re a big nut despite been heartless ” Darrell taunted and scoffed as he watch the change of expression. The words are really having effect on her, he gloat inwardly.

” The case will commence after Amber’s birthday ” Tanya stated.

” At least I want the party to be sweet for Amber. Creating a problem now it will be dangerous ” she smirked.

” Dumbass lady. Haven’t you realized that you can’t blackmail me. I always defects you in all your games. ” Darrel mocked ,folding his hands and giving her aloof pin expression.

” Go to hell ” she yelled stamping her feets to the ground hærd.

” This time around. I’ll win. I’ll make sure ” she said and left.

Darrell scoffed.

” How’ll you able to fight for the custody of Nora when you’ll be in jail ” Darrell was force to laugh.

” In three days time Tanya. It just three days ”
