EPISODE 3

Kimberly who still couldn’t grasp what she was saying quic-kly cut in, “Hold on, you’re saying my stepmother asked me to come here? She is aware of this ‘plan’?” Kimberly asked, forming a quote with two f!ngersas she said the ‘plan’.

“I don’t know anything about your stepmother’s involvement in any of this. I don’t know if she knows about this plan either. I’m just telling you what I know.” Gina explained, oblivious to the fact that Wumi was recording the conversation with her phone’s voice recorder.

“How does this even make s-en-se? And what if I had come with other people? I didn’t even drink the wine, so what would you all have done had you come back to see I didn’t drink it?” Kimberly asked, still unable to believe anything the girl was saying.

“You would have been f0rç£d to drink it. And as for bringing other people, we were going to find a way to get you away from them.” Gina said, looking shamefaced the more she expo-sed the plan.

“So you’re saying nob©dy is getting engaged?” Wumi asked, just so Kimberly could get a clear picture of what was going on. She wasn’t going to point out Amaka’s role in all of this since it was going to make Kimberly suspicious, but she hoped the guys would confess to the police and tell them Amaka’s role in all of this.

Gina swallowed, “Yes.”

“And then what happens when she attacks the men?” Wumi asked curiously, and Gina cleared her throat.

“Actually there is a c@m£ra in the room, it would capture her decorating the room to prove she was here for a job, and then also capture her har@ssing the guys. And then it would go viral on social media.” Gina said, looking down at her hands shamefully now. She hadn’t felt comfortable with the job from the moment Anita’s b©yfri£ndhad told them about it. And that has been the reason she had chos£n to be the one to open the door leaving Anita to hand Kimberly the wine.

“What I still don’t un-derstand, is why. I’ve never met this Mr Kingsley or any of the other guys before today, so why are you all doing this?” Kimberly asked with a de-ep frown.

A knock sounded on the door before Gina could respond, “That must be my sister.” Gina said, since they had agreed that Anita would come over to check on her if she didn’t return or take their call immediately.

Wumi asked her to remain seated, and asked Kimberly to open the door while she hurried in,side the bathroom to hide in case it was any of the guys and not Gina’s sister.

Anita looked at Kimberly’s stony face with a stiff smile as she tried to look into the room to see if her sister was okay, “My sister…” Kimberly moved away from the door to let her in, before shutting the door behind her.

Anita c0cked her head to one side as she glanced at Gina who was sitting on the be-d, stylishly asking her what was going on and why she was still in here.

“You c@m£ to see if the wine has started working?” Kimberly asked, startling Anita who swirled around to look at her, and then back at her sister.

“I… I…” Anita stuttered as she looked at her sister for help.

“It was just a job.” Gina explained in a pleading tone as she stood up from the be-d.

“Did you at least ask them what I did wrong before taking the job? Why? Why does everyone keep picking on me? Why?” Kimberly yelled angrily as a tear dropped from her eyes. She was still feeling hurt about all the embarr@ssing episodes she has had to face recently, as well as Tunde’s advances, and now this? Kimberly thought as she broke into a sob, unable to control herself.

Wumi opened the bathroom door startling Anita who hadn’t known someone else was in the room, “Now you will take out your phone and tell them the drug is working, and your sister is trying to hold Kimberly down.” Wumi instructed Anita coldly before turning to Gina,

“And you, call the reception desk and tell them we need security men in the room at once. You can either choose to do as I’ve asked you to, and save yourself, or you can do something stupid, and go to jail for the others.” Wumi ordered before walking over to where Kimberly was seated sobbing, to console her.

Both sisters looked at each other, and then Anita dialed Kingsley’s number, “You can start coming now. I think it has started working.” Anita said and hung up immediately, before Gina picked up the telephone receiver and called the receptionist.

“What now?” Gina asked Wumi.

Wumi wiped Kimberly’s face, “Kim, can you st©p crying now? I need you to l@yon the be-d rolling and m0@n ing, and trying to take off your clothes like you’re h0t. Can you do that? I alre-ady called my aunty to s£nd some policemen over… We need the guys to believe something is wrong with you when they get in, that way the security men will be outside the door to make sure they can’t leave until the police arrives.” Wumi explained, and Kimberly nodded.

“I’m going out now to brief the security men on what needs to be done. Help her make this believable. That is the only way I will let you off.” Wumi warned before walking out of the room, and leaving Kimberly alone with both sisters.

There was definitely no way Kimberly could take off her clothes since she had deliberately picked out her clothes with care that morning before leaving the house. She was still wearing the turtle n£¢k b©dysuit, and taking it off meant she had to take off her trou-sers too, which meant she was going to be there wearing just her P@nt and br@. There was no way she was going to be doing that just to make this believable, so she took off her wig instead, since that was the first thing she would take off if really she was feeling h0t. She was feeling very h0t right now though, she was boiling with anger.

The moment a knock sounded on the door, Gina glance at Kimberly, silently asking her if she was re-ady, and when she nodded, Anita walked over to the door, while Kimberly doubled over on the be-d on t©p of a pillow and started humping on it like it was a man, while Gina tried to hold her back.

“What is wrong with her?” Kingsley asked with mock concern as himself and his friends drew closer to the be-d expecting Kimberly to pounce on them, while Anita shut the door behind them.

They were waiting for her to pounce on them? Sure, she was going to do that, but not for anything S-xual, Kimberly thought as she r0ûghly pushed the unsuspecting Gina away and pounced on Kingsley.

None of the guys thought much of it, since they had actually drugged her so she would f0rç£ herself on them, but what they didn’t expect was the sharp cry of pain that Kingsley gave as she bit into his n£¢k and kneed him in the groin.

“Ouch!” Kingsley cried as he coll@psed on the ground, holding his n£¢k and groin area, while the other guys looked surprised as they turned to Gina and Anita in confusion.

“w€tin dey sup? (What is happening?)” The smoker asked Anita.

Kimberly quic-kly attacked the next guy as they were distracted and buried her teeth in his arm, “Ah! My hand!” He cried out ma-king the third one who had been smoking when she entered the room earlier run away from her, “w€tin dey worry her? She dey crase? (What is wrong with her? Is she mad?)” He asked Gina and Anita.

“Madness? You haven’t seen anything! All of you are mad!” Kimberly yelled at the t©p of her lungs as she ran after him while he jumped on the be-d away from her.

“Chiamaka w€tin dey worry una two? Make una hold her na! (Chiamaka what is wrong with the both of you? Hold her!)” The guy Kimberly had bitten who was holding on to his bleeding arm yelled at Anita his girlfriend angrily.

Kimberly glared at both girls, daring them to say a word or move from where they were standing by the bathroom door, “What were you expecting? That I would jump on you and beg you to fv¢k me? You pigs?” Kimberly asked with anger and disgust as she unplugged the be-dside lamp and raised it up above her head, throwing it at the guy who was still running around the room, away from her.

He tried to duck but he wasn’t fast enough so the lamp hit him on his shoulder, “Ouch!” He scre-med as himself and the other guys gathered together at one end of the room staring at her and wondering what had come over her. They didn’t want to t©uçh her since they still didn’t un-derstand what was going on, and the last thing they wanted was to go to jail for something like this. Her father was a politician and things could get pretty bad for them, if they didn’t get out of here.

Their job had been simply to give her the drink, so she would be hor-nyand make advances at them, and then they would make her do stupid things while two of the guys sleep with her. After that they would edit the videos and take out their faces, leaving only hers before re-leasing it on the internet, and they will disappear and make sure she can’t trace them.

“Ouch!? Ouch? Do you think that is how I would have cried had you succeeded in ruining my life with this evil plan of yours? It is either you all gang up and kill me right here, or I kill at least one of you. But someone is going to die in this room,” Kimberly promised as she tore open the nylons on the ground and picked out a red pair of scissors from one of the bags.

“Kim…”

“If you mention my name one more time I’m going to start with you. I don’t care about any fv¢king deal Wumi cut with you, so shut the fv¢k up!” Kimberly snapped Gina as she advanced where Kingsley and the other guys were gathered with a crazed look in her eyes.

“Deal? What deal?” The guy who she had bitten asked, looking at both his girlfriend and Gina.

“These bit-ches betrayed us! I tell you say I nuh dey trust women matter! (I told you I don’t trust women!)” The one Kimberly had thrown the lamp at, spat out angrily as he s£nt a death glare their way.

“Shut up! All of you should shut your mouth!” Kimberly yelled angrily.

“You should shut the fv¢k up! In case you nuh know, you nuh fit beat all of us. We just dey allow you do anyhow since because we nuh dey like t©uçh woman, but you done dey provoke me! (In case you don’t know, there is no way you can overpower all three of us. We are only letting you t©uçh us because we don’t hit women, but you’re really beginning to piss me off!)” Kingsley snapped at her.

Kimberly suddenly started laughing like she had lost her mind as she looked at them, “You must have some nerves to be talking about being provoked when you’re the criminal here. You don’t t©uçh women? But you were going to r@p£ me?” She asked incredulously.

“We were not going to r@p£ you! Na you for beg us to t©uçh you. (You would have been the one begging us for S-x)”

“And what is the difference when you took away my will by drugging me? Did I come here in search of S-x? You are all ra-pists!” Kimberly snapped at them.

“Ehn, we agree. If people like your politician father was not eating Nigeria money and we had good jobs, we won’t be doing this.” The smoker guy told her scornfully.

“That is your excuse? You’re the real lazy Nigeria youths. ra-pist!” Kimberly spat out.

“See, don’t call me names o. I don’t like being called names, else I will be f0rç£d to hit you. As he alre-ady told you, you can’t overpower us, so let’s all just leave and forget this happened. You don’t know us, we don’t know you.” The one she had bitten his arm, said.

“True. I can’t overpower all of you, so I will tell you what is going to happen. You’re going to tell me exactly who s£nt you to do this to me and why. Or I will stab myself with this and make sure you all get arrested for my murder,” Kimberly threatened, ma-king them all g@sp in surprise.

“Nuh mind her! She nuh fit! (Don’t listen to her! She can’t do that!)” The one she had bitten said with a snort.

True, there was no way she was going to take her own life, but they didn’t need to know that yet, “You really think so? Ever heard of people who committed suicide because of bullying? I’m going to take my own life if it means getting all of you arrested!” Kimberly threatened as she raised the scissors to her n£¢k.

“See, if you like kill yourself, we don’t know anything, and we are not saying anything. Why are we still here? Let’s leave jare!” Kingsley said to the others, and they started heading for the door. They turned when Kimberly didn’t st©p them, and looked at her and the girls suspiciously, wondering why they were letting them go so easily.

Kimberly sat down on the be-d without saying another word, and dropped the scissors beside her in resignation. Since they weren’t going to tell her, they could as well tell the police who s£nt them, and why, “You can come in now,” Kimberly called out to Wumi and the security men who she knew were alre-ady outside by now.

“Wait? Who?” Anita’s b©yfri£ndasked as he glanced at the door anxiously as it was opened, and uniformed policemen walked in with Wumi.

“These are the men. You can take them,” Wumi said as she walked over to where Kimberly’s bag was and picked it up along with Kimberly’s wig.

“Which men? Who are you? We didn’t do anything. Why is the police here?” Kingsley protested.

“You can explain that to us at the station. And just so you know, you have the right to remain silent as anything you say or do could be used against you in the court of law,” One of the men said as the others handcuffed the men.

“Arrest those two snakes too if you’re arresting us! They are guilty too!” The smoker yelled angrily.

Kimberly didn’t spare any of them a glance as she walked away out of the room with Wumi. In all honesty, she was fed up. She was tired of people always trying to use her problem against her. Why couldn’t they all leave her alone and let her be? Was it her fault she had been abused as a kid? Was it her fault she turned out this way? Why did everyone keep trying to make her feel this way? Kimberly asked herself as she lowered herself to the ground by the p@ssageway and started sobbing.

She knew she had promised Eric that she wouldn’t cry when he wasn’t there, but right now she couldn’t help it. She really wished he was here to hold her and console her. She just felt emotionally and physically drained, Kimberly thought as she kept crying, and Wumi sat down on the floor beside her and held her.

“I’m sorry Kim,” Wumi said with a sniffle as tears rolled down her cheeks too. She knew she couldn’t even begin to imagine what Kimberly was feeling right now, but she felt very sad that Kimberly had to go throu-gh something like this.

“Why? Why do they keep doing this to me? Is it my fault I turned out this way? Do they think I love having S-x with different strangers? PeopIe I don’t even remember their faces the next morning? I’m tired. I just want to die. I don’t want to keep going throu-gh things like this. I just can’t do this anymore.” Kimberly said with a sob, and Wumi cried with her as she held her close, while the policemen dragged the guys away.

“Don’t say that Kim, everything will be alright.” Wumi promised.

Anita and Gina stood by the side watching as Kimberly and Wumi cried, and they couldn’t help the tears that dropped from their own eyes. They couldn’t believe in their quest to live as big girls they had been willing to destroy someone’s life without thinking twice. All for money.

Gina took her sister’s hand, and they both walked over to where Kimberly was crying and knelt down, “We are sorry.” Gina cried, but neither Wumi nor Kimberly spared them a glance.

“Kim? What is wrong?” Prisca called as she hurried down to where Kimberly was seated on the floor sobbing.

“What happened to her?” Prisca asked Wumi who was also crying and hvgging Kimberly.

“Take her home. She needs rest. I will tell you about it later.” Wumi said as she wiped her face and stood up, “Let’s help her up,” She told Prisca who was looking at Kimberly with worried eyes.

Prisca stood up, and the both helped Kimberly stand up, before leading her to the car, “I need to go to the police station. I will come over when I’m done,” Wumi said before turning to leave.

She sighed when she saw Gina and Anita standing by the side waiting for her with teary eyes. She didn’t know what to say to them. She was very angry and disappointed in them, and she really was not in the mood to talk either.

“Wumi we are really sorry,” Gina pleaded.

“You don’t owe me any apology. I leave you to your conscience and God. If Kimberly can forgive you, that’s fine,” Wumi said as she unlocked her car and got in,side.

“For your sake I hope you change your lifestyle. I would have loved to help you, but I think it’s probably best you learn how to earn money genuinely, that way you won’t be tempted by such jobs,” Wumi said before driving away, leaving both sisters standing there sadly.
