EPISODE 95

Kimberly swallowed, “Would you want to remain with me after the one year if I ask you to? Regardless of everything you know about me?” Kimberly asked looking at him anxiously.

Eric looked at her, slightly startled by the question since he hadn’t been expecting. Why was she asking him that all of a sudden? Was it because she liked him or was it because she was worried about how her life would be without him after he left?

Eric didn’t know what to say to her. He wanted to ask her different questions, but he couldn’t bring himself to do that. Her question was directed at Eric King, not Tunde Eric Obasan. He knew he could protect her more as Tunde than as Eric, since no one would dare speak to his wife rudely without facing the consequences for the action.

“Nevermind.” Kimberly said when she noticed the look on his face, and then @ssumed he was looking for a way to reject her nicely. Of course he wouldn’t. What had she been thinking? She asked herself sadly, “I think it’s time for our movie.” She added before he could say anything

“Kim?”

“Yeah?”

“Let’s talk after the movie, okay?” Eric said looking at her with a ba-rely noticeable smile.

“No need. You don’t have to answer that question. I was just…”

“Let’s just talk after the movie.” He repeated, cutting her off as he stood up and offered her a hand to help her up.

They both walked over to the stand where Eric had gotten their tickets, and he handed over their tickets to the snack vendors and collected their box of popcorn, pizza, and two plastic bottles of drinks, “Let me help you with the drinks.” Kimberly offered as she took the drinks from him, and then they both walked into the cinema hall together.

They were both very engrossed by the movie immediately it started, so neither of them paid any attention to the other. They just ate but their eyes remained on the screen, until they heard a low m0@n from behind them. Since the hall was dark there was no way to see who had m0@n ed but it was obvious what was going on behind them. Eric had always heard that peopIe often made out in the cinema, but he had never experienced it happening until today. It suddenly made him wonder a lot of things about Kimberly. He wanted to know everything about her lifestyle and her S-x life. Yes she had said she was promiscuous, but he wanted to know more than that. He wanted to know what ar-used her, her s-en-sitive sp©ts, her S-xual fantasies, her best S-x position, her craziest S-xual experience. Yes it was mad, but he suddenly really wanted to know.

“Wow! I feel like becoming a thief after watching this movie.” Kimberly said with a giggle ma-king Eric realize the movie was over, and then the lights c@m£ on, everyone started walking out. A couple of curious folks who had been in front, looked behind them and when they saw Kimberly and Eric still seated, they naturally @ssumed the m0@n had come from her, since no one else was behind them.

Neither Eric nor Kimberly noticed it as they stood up and headed for the door, “I take it you enjoyed the movie?” Eric asked as he held out the car door for her, and went around to get into his own seat.

“Yeah I did. Didn’t you?” Kimberly asked with a smile.

“I got carried away at some point, so I missed the ending. Can you swim?” He asked taking her aback. What had one got to do with the other? He wondered.

“Yes. Why?”

“Let’s go swimming this weekend.” He suggested.

“Okay.” Kimberly said with a nod as she opened a bottle of water to sip from it.

“What is your S-xual fantasy?” He asked, ma-king her choke on the water she had just swallowed as she turned to look at him in surprise.

“Sorry.” He murmured apologetically as he turned to spare her a glance.

“Why are you suddenly asking me that?” She asked with a puzzled frown.

“Because I want to know. You’re my wife and I should be able to satisfy all your S-xual fantasies.” Eric said ma-king her toes curl.

“I don’t think there is any thing I want that I haven’t done.” Kimberly confessed.

“Have you had S-x in a Cinema?” He asked ma-king her suddenly laugh out.

“Is that why you are asking? Because of the people behind us?” She asked in amusement.

“It just made me curious.” Eric said with a shrug.

“Well, I actually haven’t.”

“Would you love to?” He asked giving her bu-tterflies in her stomach.

“Eric…” She called weakly.

“Come on Kim, it’s a yes or no question.” Eric encouraged.

“It won’t be proper…”

“The lights are always off until the end. If we start immediately we get in, no one has to know it is you… Besides it can be done quietly… That’s if you can keep it down though.” Eric added, turning to look at Kimberly who was now beginning to feel ho-ny.

This was the first time she had stayed an entire week without having S-x, and Eric wasn’t being helpful right now, Eric plea-se st©p.” She pleaded weakly.

“Yes or No?” He asked with a n@ûghty smile.

“Why are you asking? It’s not like you have ever gone down that p@rt with me indoors, so why do you care about whether or not I want to have S-x in a Cinema?” Kimberly snapped at him. The previous night he had spent the night with her, but had sle-pt off immediately his head hit the pillow. What was the difference between him sleeping like a log all night on her be-d and him sleeping in the next room?

“I guess that’s a no, so I can rule that one out. What about S-x in a swimming pool? Preferably at night? A pri-vate swimming pool, if the idea of a public one scares you very much.” He asked, ma-king her look at him with her mouth open. Had Eric suddenly become possessed by a lvstful demon? Why was he having such n@ûghty thoughts?

“Don’t look at me that way. I’m just trying to make up a list of all the places I will make love to you when the time comes. We don’t want a boring S-x life, do we?” He asked with a chuckle.

Kimberly snapped her mouth shut, not knowing what to say or how to answer his question. He had no idea the kind of images his words were conjuring in her mind, if he did he would wear iron un-derwears.

“Do you like oral S-x?”

“For Christ sake Eric!” She yelled ma-king his wh0le b©dy tremble with laughter as he tried to keep his eyes on the road.

If only she knew that the more embarr@ssed she felt about the discussion, the more entertaining it was to him, “You’re no fun.” Eric said as he tried to st©p laughing, while Kimberly only shifted in her seat uncomfortably.

“About your question earlier on, why did you ask that? Is it because you really like me and want me beside you? Or is it just because you’re scared of facing what everyone would say after I leave? Or maybe because you feel you might need me around to defend you some more?” Eric asked carefully, turning to look at Kimberly who was looking out the window of the car now.

“You didn’t answer my question, why should I answer yours?” Kimberly asked without turning to look at him.

“You asked me not to answer when you said, ‘nevermind’ or didn’t you?” Eric reminded her.

“You were going to say no.”

“You don’t know that for a fact, do you?” Eric asked.

“Were you going to say yes?” Kimberly asked, turning to look at him now, “Don’t lie to me.”

“Fine. I am going to be honest with you, my answer depends on the reason you would want me to stay. If it’s because you love me and want me, then yes. But if it’s just because you need someone to always stand up for you, then No. I won’t always be there to stand up for you, so I need you to learn how to stand up for yourself.” Eric said.

“You’re saying you don’t mind being with me for more than a year?” Kimberly asked in surprise.

“I said as long as the reason you want me to do that is because you are in love with me. So don’t ask me to do that if you don’t love me.”

“You would remain with a woman you don’t love just because she loves you?” Kimberly asked in confusion. No matter how h@rd she tried, she couldn’t seem to keep up or un-derstand what Eric was saying.

“Are you in love with me?” Eric asked, holding his breath.

“I don’t know. Maybe. Answer my question. Would you remain with me if I say I’m in love with you? Even when you don’t love me?” She asked again.

“When did I ever say I don’t love you?” Eric asked without thinking, ma-king both their hearts skip a beat.

Before either of them could say a word Eric’s phone started ringing and he quic-kly picked the call after asking her to excuse him, “Mom… What?” He asked in alarm and swerved the car to the side of the road.

He listened for sometime with a frown on his face, “Calm down, he will be okay.” He listened to something she said again and nodded, “I will be right there, so just stay calm.” Eric promised before hanging up. He looked both lost and confused as he sat there trying to gather his thoughts.

“Is everything okay?” Kimberly asked in concern.

“No. My father just coll@psed and has been rushed to the hospital. I need to leave at once. You can get home by yourself, right?” He asked, and got out of the car when she nodded.

“Where are you going to? Don’t you need money? Where is your father? Maybe I should go with you?” Kimberly asked as she got out of the car to meet him.

He shook his head, “No. Don’t worry about me. I will give you a call when I arrive.” He told her.

“Arrive at where?” Kimberly asked, wanting to know the details of where he was going to, but Eric was ti-ght-li-pped.

“I will tell you about it when I get back.” He promised as he tried to flag down a cab.

“Here!” Kimberly hurried after him and handed him one of her debit cards, “I’m sure you don’t have enough money on you. Use it to sort out the bills.” She said, but he shook his head.

“I won’t need it.” He said as a cab st©pped in front of him.

“It’s best to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it. Just go with it.” She said, forcing it into his hand.

Eric stepped forward and k!$$£d herl-ips p@ssionately before pu-lling away, “Thank you. Let’s continue our discussion when I return, okay? Now get into the car, I need to see you leave.” He said, and waited until she had gotten into her car before getting into the cab.

Kimberly suddenly felt her heart ache as she got into her car and turned it on. The cab driver waited until she had driven off before reversing, and she watched the cab drive away throu-gh her rearview mirror. She couldn’t help but wonder how long he would be gone. She found it very weird that she was alre-ady missing him.

in,side the cab Eric turned around in his seat and watched her car until it disappeared completely from view and sighed as he sat up in the seat. This wh0le thing was just getting very complicated by the day.

He dialed Wumi’s number and she took the call immediately, as expected she was sobbing, “Did you hear from mom?” She asked with a sniffle.

“Don’t worry about it, he is going to be okay. I’m on my way to my house to pick up a couple of things while the pilot gets the plane re-ady.”

“I should come with you…”

“Not yet. I called because I need you to help me do something.” Eric said.

“Is this about Kim?”

“Yes. I’m worried about her.” Eric explained.

“Why? What is wrong?” Wumi asked in concern as she wiped her tears.

“I overheard her say something about her step mother wanting her to do a job at an h0tel. I don’t have the details, but could you help me keep an eye on her tomorrow? I’m not sure I trust Amaka very much.” Eric pleaded ma-king Wumi sigh. She would have preferred to be with her family at this point, but of course she would be useless there and just add to her mother’s worry, so maybe it was best to keep herself busy by helping her brother.

“Okay. I will see what I can do.” She promised.

“And you shouldn’t let either of them know you’re watching unless of course you need to step in.” Eric added.

“Yeah. Sure.”

“Thanks. And try not to worry too much, I will take care of things over there until you can come home.” He added.

“I know. Take care. I love you.”

“I love you too.” Eric said before hanging up. He was just going to be there until his father was well, and after that he would come back and tell Kimberly everything. At the rate that things were happening, he couldn’t tell what would happen next to distort his plans again, so he needed to take charge of things before things took charge of him.
