Grace was taking by the cops to the prison hospital.

The doctor which was a woman treated her. Luckily the wounds was not severe, and she escape from the clutches of death, which she wish for.

Afterwards, Grace regain consciousness, but half awake, she was weak. She open up are eyelids slowly.

When her eyes were open, she er-cted her brows and saw a doctor standing close to her. She glance at everywhere, and she knew she was in her hospital.

She really wanted to be dead, but fate doesn’t want that. The fact that she was brought back to life made her infuriated.

” Am gonna kill myself again. Am tried already” she muttered in her mind, a tear came down from her eye.
She became absentminded. But the doctor fluttering words jolted her back.

” Dear you shouldn’t try to commit suicide, most especially now you have what to live for ” the doctor said.

Grace fluttered as she just stare at her wondering what she mean.

” You’re a month pregnant ” the doctor announce realizing the bombshell.

Grace just stare at her totally dumbfounded. She couldn’t believe her ears. Is the doctor joking or is she kind of dreaming, she wonder.

She just gaze at the doctor, her mouth cover into a surprised smile.

” Ar… are you sure doc ” she stuttered and cover her mouth with her palm feeling like she was going to explode with Joy.

” Yes you’re pregnant ” the doc reassured her.

She gave a loud Joyful shout, despite being weak, but after some awhile those joyful face was replace with sadness and reality. It dawn on her that she was in Jail.

” Why does this news have to come now, y now ” She cried softly.
Grace brought her knees to her chest and wept.

The doc came sat on her bed and ruffled her hair, her eyes show concern coz Grace was her fellow woman and she must be going through a lot. The way the doc see woeful state without being told, she thought maybe Grace as being frame for a crime she didn’t commit for she as seen so many being frame up.

” I don’t no anything on how you end up here. But what I can tell you is to be strong for your child, live for only them. Give birth to them, it won’t be easy but you’ve to try ” the doctor cooed, ruffing her hair. She gave the doctor a smile.

“That a good smile ” the doc remarked.

She was taking back to jail. She sat on her bed and thought of her pregnancy. She felt half of her burden as being lifted from her.
She felt ecstasy pounding in her stomach. The happiness of being a mother overwhelmed her, that was her long dream since she got married.

But why does this joy have to come now, she will be away from her child coz she lockdown behind this walls, but at least she was happy to become a mum.

She decided that she wanted to tell Mandy she can’t keep to her self.

Grace stood up and call for one of the cops to come.
A female came and Grace ask her if, she could make a call. She was permitted.

Grace pick up the landline phone excitedly and dial Mandy’s number. She pick the call.

” Oh, Mandy get your ass down here, I got goodness” She said excitedly immediately Mandy said hello.

“What the goodness” Mandy ask curiously.

” Come over and I will explain ” Grace said.

She hang up the call and smiled.

#Mandy’s_residence

“Oh, gosh I wonder what the news was. Or her they gonna set her free in some way that is the only goodness I can think of ” Mandy said inwardly to herself, prayed that it should be so.

She was in the kitchen preparing breakfast. Her husband as gone to his office.

She turn off the gas and set the food aside. She rush on her heels to her room and scurried to her wardrobe.

She change her clothes and wore a better outfit, rub some lip gloss and wore her shoe.

Mandy took the car keys that was in her room table and headed out of the house.

She got hopped into the car and t-rn on the ignition and rode off.

Grace was sat down waiting for Mandy’s arrival, subsequently a cop came to announce that someone was here to see her.

She stood up and the cop open up the lock.

Grace got to the room and met curious and anxious Mandy.

” So what is the news huh ” She inquired.

” Her they go to set you free ” she added without letting Grace say anything.

” They’re not setting me free” Grace said.

Mandy gave her a question look as she lean close to her.

“Am pregnant ” Grace announce joyful.

“Oh my God, is this f-cking true, can’t believe this ” Mandy replied trilling covering her mouth with her palm.

“Yeah, it f-cking true, and am relief at least I won’t try killing myself again…

“Killing yourself ” Mandy pored interrupting her.

“Yah, I tried ending this damn f-cking calamitous life of mine “Grace confessed.

“What the heck were you thinking” Mandy scolded.

“Am not gonna do that again coz I already have what to live for ” Grace stated.

” well, that’s okay at least you won’t thinking of ending your life again ” Mandy said.

” I will make sure Jesse never lay his eyes on he child that is my own away of punishing him ” Grace said feeling a little provoked.

” Yeah, if you had told me that you want the devil incarnate so call Jesse to know about this, then I would’ve spank you. It a good choice he doesn’t deserve the kid”Mandy stated.

” When I give birth to this child we you take care of him or her for me. You will raise them as your own coz I can’t be a mother to my child, why stuck in this damn walls ” Grace pointed.

” Of course girl, I promise, you can count on me. And on the bright side, I will also get to experience a little part of this motherhood coz I don’t have a child of my own. Thank you Grace for giving me this privilege to get to experience the Motherhood ” Mandy trilled.

They embraced each other.

Mandy left the Jail and went home. She was happy to hear this news .

Lacey, Grace other friend came immediately after Mandy left..
She was sobbing when she got there. She reminded Grace on her she as bring telling her to live the cold hearted beast, but she fail to listen.

Grace told her, she regret it and now she was paying for her stupidity.
And Grace later broke the pregnancy news to her.
Lacey was surprised and happy at the same time.

Grace tummy was protuberant now. She was due and could give birth anytime soon. Two female cops was esc-rting her to the prison hospital.

Sooner, she scre-m holding her tummy. Her water pot broke and two female cops were alarmed.
