THEME:STRANGE LAND!

Kira POV

The night sky was dense. The forest canopy and clouds hid the brilliance of stars. We walked silently. It being two weeks since I said my goodbyes to Kian and I missed having him with us. The steep inclined of the Zondael Mountain terrain would have presented a significant challenge but we weren’t just humans and as such we easily glided along,navigating effortlessly around the plentiful trees and mixed foliage

“Is this our safe place?”

Darius titled his head,his glance falling on the map held in his hand. He studied the map of the area for a moment.

“It just over the next ridge,be prepared we are almost there”

We finally reached the top ridge and stopped. I stared at the topography below in confusion. There was nothing. No building or even a sign of a block,just a vast land

“Um Darius…”

I said rubbing the back of my neck with my hand

“Are you sure this is the location”

Darius was silent,his brow creased,his attention riveted to the map in his hand before bringing out his phone. He pressed two finger on the screen and drew them together,making the image on it smaller,then slid it around with his finger searching

“Is this a trap or something Darius? Don’t you know the location to where we are headed? No building…or are we to stay and die here in the wilderness?”

“No”

I followed him our descent slower than before more conducive for caution. I kept a close distance to Darius as we walked,studying every inch around us. We found nothing. Where the hell is this place?!

“You know Darius we’ve come so far…to end with nothing”

He stopped and gave me the duffel bag

“hold this while I make some calls”

His voice was low and I tried to give him a small smile but unsuccessful. He stood some yards away,deep in conversation on phone with heaven knows who. I can’t continue standing here with no purpose. I need to at least take a closer look at the landscape maybe I will find something we missed. I looked around for a while only for the duffel bag strap to snap loose from my hand and then it disappeared all together. Where did it go?!

“Darius!”

I cried out

Darius head wh¡pped up, his eyes locked on mine,while his body was already in motion towards me. Every nerve ending in my body trembled on high alert

“What is it Kira?”

He growled and I tried to keep my voice steady

“We are on a strange land… The duffel bag disappeared”

I pointed to the place I already stepped faraway from now

“There!”

Darius gaze snapped the empty landscape where I pointed

“We are in the right location after all”

“What?! Here?! What do you mean?!”

I whispered trying to make sense of his comment

“This is our hidden location”

“Hidden location”

“Yes…so what did you think it is?”

“This is a wilderness”

“No it more than just a wilderness”

“Wait does this place bears some kind of powers?”

“Yes”

Darius moved forwards to the place I pointed,shuffling his feet ahead of him,feeling the landscape before taking a step. Ten steps later,he stopped abruptly, his foot making contact with an unseen object

“Can you feel it?”

“I can feel it”

“What is it?”

“Kinda like a rock or something solid”

He described. Darius reached his hand out and then his finger disappeared

“No!”

I cried and closed the distance between us,holding the back of his shirt. Darius pulled his hand and flexed his fingers examining them

“As a witch what do you think this thing is?”

“Witchcraft,portal or cloaking.. I don’t know”

Darius smiled – what’s so funny about this creepy wilderness

“This is the entrance to our hidden location”

“Entrance?”

I c*cked my brow

“Yes..what do want to do now?..go back to stay in the wood or continue on?”

I chewed my lower lip and looked around the landscape

“I can’t possibly go back to the wood”

“Well I leave the decision up to you..you may follow me in there or you return back to the wood full of dark creatures. The choice is yours kira”

“We’ve spent weeks in those dangerous woods fighting different creatures I never dream to see again”

I clutched his warm hand in mine,entwining our fingers. I trust him,Darius won’t go into a place If it not safe.

“We’re in this together Darius”

I whispered

“Together Kira”

He growled and swept me Into his arms. I held my breath. He cradled me tightly against his chest and stepped over the unseen rock. And then we were falling into the unknown world.

Darius POV

We reached Capitan Mountain few days after Kian departed from us. I was glad he left without being told to do so since he wasn’t needed in this journey. At times I find his company interesting mostly every time he makes Kira laugh while telling his old jokes. Kian and i disagreed so many times while he was still with us. I only find Kian strange each time he question’s Kira about her lineage and what sort of powers she possesses. Kira was smart to tell him little about whatever he asked. I never wanted him to know anything about Kira or where we are headed because of Kira’s safety. In two weeks we got to Zondael Mountain which no human or supernatural being will ever dream of coming to. It wasn’t a popular mountain now but it was in the old times. There’s a big landscape behind the mountain after crossing a top ridge. It was a des**ted Land which use to belong to the Fae but it wasn’t owned by anyone now after a fight broke out between the Fae and Vampires a long time ago. The fae leader created a portal to their world until a bloodline Vampire came with his men,broke into the Fae world to claim the Landscape and the world beneath. The Fae Leader not wanting to give up his kingdom made all Fae disappeared,destroyed the bloodline Vampire for killing many Fae and also destroyed the World. Ever since then, the Dael Landscape became a forgotten land. A place like this which is the best location to keep Kira,where no man will ever find her. When we stepped on the land I was confused After I didn’t see my visible portal,I searched, studying every inch around us but found nothing. I reached out to Malphus on my phone to ask him some questions about the Landscape -Malphus doesn’t have much knowledge about it but then he placed one of the red witches on the line. She explained that the entrance was created with witchcraft and was clocked by the Fae leader..leaving us to find the cloaked part ourselves. I was still on phone when I heard Kira’s loud cry,I was by her side in no time wondering what had happened so quickly. Then she mentioned a part swallowing up the duffel nag which wasn’t in her hand anymore. I found the place,it was the concealed entrance to our hidden Location. I gave Kira a chance to make a decision of her own after seeing the great fear in her eyes. I knew Kira won’t risk going back into the woods so she will be left to with no choice but to come with me. Kira agreed and I stepped on the unseen rock leading Into the world.

THEME:NEW HOME

Kira POV

And then we were falling, everywhere black. I opened my mouth to let out a surprised shout but Darius had anticipated my reaction and I found his hand clamped over my l-ips,keeping me silent. He gripped me tighter,curling his body around mine protectively, trying to take as much of the impact of our fall as possible. For a moment we were devoid of anything other than the only darkness that surrounded us. And then just as quickly, our bodies came to an abruptly halt,landing on a hærd immovable surface. Light invaded my senses I blinked. I was laying on top of Darius. He loosened his hold,slightly,his knuckles car-ssing my cheek.

“Are you okay?”

I held his strong gaze, while I took inventory of my body for a moment. It wasn’t a pleasant fall,but everything felt in the right places and working. I breathed

“Yes I think so…are you okay too?”

“Yes I’m fine”

I looked around slowly,my mouth forming a small ‘o’ we were in a rundown old mansion. Darius grabbed my shoulders and thr-st our bodies hærd to the side. I huffed in surprised,oh!…I looked back to find the duffel bag rolling down a set of stone steps. It landed with a thump where we were seated a while ago

“Where are we Darius?”

I twisted my neck to look at our surrounding again. I couldn’t turn too far. Darius’s arm were still protectively wrapped around me limiting my movement. It looked like a grand hall of a long forgotten Mansion, so forgotten,that the landscape had made its way into the building and now called the structured home. Leafy green foliage and cobwebs filled the house while pitched of moss crept up the walls almost reaching the jumbled mess of vines covering the dilapidated ceiling

“Are we staying in here Darius?”

“Not here Kira”

“Where is this place?”

“Long story Kira”

What did he mean by that…everything about Darius involves a long story. I looked around. The landscape was comprised of familiar elements, but everything was just bigger. The tree trunks were massive,and reached hundreds of feet into the air

“Can you at least tell me a short story about this weird place”

I said to Darius as we travelled on foot into the thick wood. The moon hire shine brightly,lighting up the way

“This place used to belong to the Fae”

Darius finally replied

“The Fae..”

“Yes…and that old mansion you saw earlier belonged to the Fae”

“All the Fae lived in that home”

“Not all the Fae in the world but just few of them. And they all lived in peace and harmony while In that Mansion”

“Don’t they own this place anymore”

“It belong to no one now”

“What happened?”

“A bloodline Vampire came with his men to claim the landscape above and the Fae world”

“How did he know there was a Fae world beneath?”

“A dark Fae was his ally,so he told the Vampire the Fae secret”

“He betrayed his own people”

“As history have it the Fae Leader then married the Dark Fae lover”

“So he told the secret”

“Yes..the lady Fae wasn’t the Dark Fae lover…but the Dark Fae was deeply in love with her buy she loved the Fae leader instead. The dark Fae was mad at the Lady Fae for choosing the Fae leader over him”

“Too bad”

“The vampire came but unfortunately for him the Fae leader was already prepared for a fight ever since he married the Lady Fae”

“So he knew those times that the Dark Fae would come to take the Lady Fae”

“Yes …and he was aware that he won’t come without bringing the blood thirst human”

“Vampire right?”

“Yes since the Dark Fae was an ally to a Vampire”

“So did the Vampires destroyed this wh0le place?”

“No but they only managed to kill some Fae”

“The vampire mission was to take the Lady Fae and claim the land as a reward for bringing the Lady Fae to the Dark Fae?”

“Yes but he failed in both aspect”

“How?”

“The Fae leader made every Fae disappeared from this world and managed to conquer the Vampire..”

“He destroyed the world he created himself”

“Exactly”

“So this place is really a forgotten place”

“Yes it is”

“Are you sure there are no Fae or Vampire lurking around her anymore?”

“No one is here..and am sure no supernatural being remembered this place”

“What about the Fae?”

“It been ages so they can never return to this place”

“Have you been here before?”

“Yes but just once after I heard the story a long time ago…I wanted to see for myself and I found out that it was true”

“So where are we staying?”

I asked Darius when we reached a clearing

“You are the one to set that place up Kira”

“What do you mean?”

I tried to make sense out of his words

“Are you saying I should build a house with my powers?”

“So why do you think I didn’t ask us to stay in that old mansion?”

“How am i supposed to do that?!”

“You have powers don’t you?”

“I haven’t tried building a house before with my powers!”

“There is always a first time to some things Kira”

“What spell do I chant to set up a house?”

“Are you asking me that?”

“Yes cause i don’t know!”

“Okay then…let’s go back to the old Mansion”

He grabbed my hand and dragged me behind him. There is no way I’m going to stay in that freaking old Mansion!

“Wait Darius..”

He didn’t stop

“Wait… I don’t want to go back there”

It didn’t work on him

“Okay..fine Darius..I will set up a house for us”

He stopped and turned to face me

“How will you do that without knowing a spell for it?”

“I once read it that a Red Witch can make things happen without the need of a spell”

“But you are not a well trained witch”

“Ah..yes..you’re right but I have done it before”

“When? Where?”

“In the wood when I compelled those vampires…I did that without chanting the compulsion spell”

“Thank goodness you know that a red witch can work magic without the need of a spell”

He placed his two hands on my head

“Good girl now let go set up a decent house for us”

He held my hand as we walked back to the clearing

“We don’t need a mansion,a decent sized home would do”

Darius stepped away from me with his arms folded,patiently waiting for me to make a house appear right on the land

“You can do it Kira”

Darius grounded

My palms sweat. I exhaled slowly to calm my nerves. On the next inhale, I forced power from my belly. My fingers and toes tingled as a surge of energy vibrates through me. Even without looking in a mirror, I knew my eyes were glowing green. The words of a wish flowed smooth as honey from my l-ips as I purred

“I need a decent sized house here on this land, so I can be comfortable here in this wood”

It wasn’t a spell so I was not sure if it could work, until everywhere became stormy at first,I felt the earth beneath my feet shake as I staggered I saw a house, building out of the earth in front of me. My eyes stopped glowing after the wh0le house appeared

“I did it!”

I scre-med and ran to Darius,hurtling myself Into his arms. He stumbled back and grunted

“Yes you did it good girl!”

He whirled me

“I never knew I can do that!”

When our bodies stopped moving, he gently settled me with my feet touching the ground

“I have always known you can do something like this Kira”

“Well maybe I’m yet to know how powerful I am”

“Don’t worry you will learn that here Red Witch”

He bowed and we laughed

“This will be our new home till I settle everything okay?”

“Yes”

I gave him a hærd nod

“So..since you can set up a beautiful house like this am sure you can bring in some other materials we need in a home”

“Yes I will try that… Will you like to have a beautiful garden here?”

“I will love that Kira..but you are not doing that today. You will do the outside tomorrow”

“Okay! Let’s go in and check out our new home!”

I ran up the small steps leading to the porch. I opened the door only to find that we have everything we could ever wish to have in a proper home..but just one thing was left out while I was checking the house. No clothes for us! And no books to read!

“Can I bring in some clothes Darius?!”

I called out from the room I picked to be mine

“Yes…do as you wish”

He replied from his room. I don’t need to push out power – all I did was whisper the words and clothes fell on the king sized bed

“Books!books! You know I can’t do without you Books!”

A second clicked by and a shelf filled with books appeared in a side of the room. I heard a soft knock on the door

“Come in Darius”

His gaze dropped in the heap of clothes on the bed

“Why so many clothes?”

“Well…I didn’t ask for too many clothes…I only said the word twice and they appeared like that”

“You can arrange them in your closet then”

“Sure..should I order some clothes for you too?”

Darius laughed at the ‘order’ in the sentence

“I will like some too”

I followed Darius into his to to bring in some clothes for him. I love this!
