Amelia POV

Four seconds clicked by and then it got connected. Kira appeared on the screen and we scre-med her name. Kira!..My baby is Alive! Well not that I thought she was dead,I was only worried about her safety. We’ve all expected a call from her since the last two months after she disappeared. Now here she was video calling us!

“Hello FAM!” She said with a bright smile

“How are you doing?” We asked in unison and Kira giggled at that

“I’m fine mom,dad and Lana”

“I’m so happy to see you again Bestie!” Lana scre-med at the top of her voice

“I really missed you guys too!”

“We miss you more my princess!” Alec replied with a huge smile plastered on his face

“Where have you been Zoe,we’ve been worried about you?”

“Mom I’ve been traveling with the man that abducted me for good…it really a long story that i can’t tell you all now”

“But… Where are you staying now?” Lana asked

“I am staying somewhere safe Bestie”

“No name?” Alec asked

“I can’t disclose that dad..it meant to be a secret”

“Are you staying in same house with that guy that abducted you?”

“Yes dad,it just the two of us in here”

“What?!” We scre-med

“You shouldn’t be alone with a stranger” Alec protested

“Well dad,Darius is a good man”

“Darius? Is that his name?”

“Yes mom..you don’t have to worry about me”

“I’m just concerned about you living alone with a fully grown man who is a stranger to you and us too” Alec explained in a low tone

“Dad,Darius won’t do anything bad to me”

“How are you sure about that Bestie?.. I mean you shouldn’t trust someone you don’t know”

“Lana I have been with him for two months now… So he is not a stranger anymore” Kira looked away from the camera

“Is he there with you?”

“Yes mom”

“Well put him on the line..just tell him your parents wants to see his face..we have to be sure if you are truly in safe hands”

“Dad you can’t tell by his face..so you are not going to see his face” she giggled

“Why? he doesn’t have a face?”

“Hello Mr And Mrs Hunter”

We heard a masculine voice say over the phone but we couldn’t see his face

“You don’t have to worry about your daughter..she is in safe hands”

“I hope so Mr Darius..and don’t you dare try to touch my daughter!” Alec threatened

Kira just giggled at his threats

“Oh dad! Stop over reacting”

“Well Kira your dad is right..always lock your bedroom door at night or better still create a magical lock or boundary to stop him from sneaking into your room at night. He might want to take advantage of the fact that you are a fragile girl who can fight off a grown man…plus you are alone with him..just the two of you”

“Oh Lana!there you go again!”

“Am just saying the truth”

“I don’t need to create any magical lock or boundary just to keep Darius away”

“Oh you can’t do that because he can rip through any magic right?” I suggested

“Yes..how do you know that mom?”

“That guy pulled down the school boundary Joanna created. I had to build up another one together with your godfather”

“I’m sorry you had to go through all that mom”

“Hey my princess what is his identity?” Alec asked in a whisper

“I don’t know too Dad”

“You don’t know?”

“Yes mom”

“That’s bad” I said as Alec and I exchanged glances. Kira needs to know about the prophecy

“There is something you need to know Kira” I bit my lower lip

“What is it mom?”

“The thing is..Malcolm already told me about everything happening now…he prophesied it when I was pregnant”

I explained the prophecy to Kira

“Well that is an assurance that I’m going to return home safely”

“Yes..as long as Darius remains good to you my princess” Alec added

“Did Mr Darius ask you for any help?”

“No Lana,he is only determined to protecting me for now”

“You still have to be careful” Alec said suspiciously

“Where is kyle?”

“He is in Mumbai”

“Mumbai? Really?..finally he went to Mumbai”

“Yes..he is ready to get trained about his powers so he would be able to find you”

Lana replied her

“Tell him not to bother about finding me – I will come back home when it time but for now I have to stay away from home and be in a hidden place”

“It okay princess,we understand”Alec said to Kira

“Kira the last time I spoke to Kyle,he said if perhaps you call home I should give you his Mumbai number” Kira gaze moved somewhere else probably getting permission from Darius

“Okay..you can send it to this number” she said finally

“Sure I will Kira”

“So Mom..how is baby doing?”

“He is doing fine” I replied

“Yeah since you already predicted that baby would be a boy” Kira laughed

“So any Fetus name?”

“Yes..I got one for him My princess”

“What is it?”

“Spiderman!” Alec said loudly and We all laughed

“Really? spiderman? That weird dad”

“Don’t mind him,that was how he intended to give you Elastic girl and Superman to Kyle” she chuckled

“Mom give him a better name”

“Well baby,we didn’t give him a name because we were worried that you aren’t here with us to name him”

“My absence shouldn’t stop you from giving him a fetus name”

“Oh we actually wanted you to give him a name since you predicted that the baby is a boy” I said to her

“Not only that..we want our son to be named by a great Red witch!” Alec added

Kira giggled

“So go on and name him”

“Oh mom…” She placed her hand on her forehead

And rubbed it constantly trying to think of a name

“Asher” she opened her eyes

“Baby Asher got a fetus name from big sis!” Lana clapped excitedly”

“Asher is grateful for that name Kira” I rubbed my belly

“So when is he due mom?”

“In six months time”

“Dad give Asher a k-ss for me..tell him Kira loves him”

“I will do just that princess”

“When will Kyle return home?”

“In five months time”

Lana answered Kira

“Okay..Lana thanks for taking care of mom and the baby”

“Oh you don’t have to thank me Kira..it something you would have done if I were in your shoes… You would have done better”

“Extend my greetings to everyone”

“Can we always call you on this line?”

“No….no..we are not meant to stay connected like that”

Our smile dropped a bit

“Okay…but try to send message once In a while just to assure us that you are fine and safe” Alec managed to say out of disappointment

“Okay dad”

“Bye Kira” we waved

“Bye FAM” the line dropped

“I think you can sleep soundly now right?” Alec asked me

“Yes honey..I’m happy she is safe..and doing fine”

“Same here honey”

“Lana send Kyle’s number to that line”

“Okay dad…I will just get my phone in the bedroom”

Lana walked off

“Lemme give Asher a k-ss from Kira”

He placed a k-ss on my belly

“Asher..can you hear me?”

Alec said In a low tone and I laughed

“I know you can hear me..Kira loves you and mom and dad loves you too” he k-ssed again

Darius POV

I watched and listened to every of Kira’s conversation with her family. I loved the way she had assured her parents that she was fine,how she had explained to them that I wasn’t a stranger anymore and that she trusted me. I loved the way she threw her head back in laughter anytime her dad said something funny and mostly the way her eyes sparkled slightly when she was looking at her family. I was happy to see her laugh this much and I knew the call would last for a while so I let her take time without any interruption. Kira came to my side and threw her arms around me suddenly

“Thank you..thank you Darius for giving me a chance to call my family”

“You don’t have to thank me Kira” she released me

“I should have allowed you call them since we settled down here..but I didn’t and I’m sorry for that -”

“No..no you don’t have to be sorry for anything Darius.. You’ve done so may good things for me, you never yelled at me or scold me whenever I did something wrong,instead you blame yourself for every little mistake I Make ever since we got here. And I really don’t know how to repay you for protecting me”

“Well you don’t have to repay me for anything…look you just have to promise me that you won’t try to run away from me or commit suicide when you miss your family and you can’t tell me”

“Suicide?! Why would I do that?! I can never even think of running away from you Darius when I know the purpose of being here is to protect me”

“I am just saying Kira..you have no idea how scared and worried I was when I couldn’t find you earlier on ”

“I’m sorry Darius..but you should have checked at the pool when you didn’t see me at home”

“Just don’t try to do anything silly to yourself like drowning in the pool” she rolled her eyes

“I can’t commit suicide when I have a family waiting for me and most especially a little brother waiting to see me”

“Asher?”

She hummed a response

“Your family is fun and…your dad is so funny”

“Yeah…he is kinda funny anytime he makes threat”

“You had a fetus Name when you were little?”

“Yes..Zoe”

“Zoe..what about Kyle?”

My phone pinged

“They sent Kyle’s number.. Will you like to call him now?”

“No..I will do that tomorrow”

I motioned to Kira to rest her head on my chest

“You should prepare to sleep now”

“It still early Darius and … You haven’t told me how you learn to braid”

“Well…a female friend of mine taught me how to braid”

I closed my eyes trying to neglect the images trying to flood my mind

“Your girlfriend?”

“I never said that”

“Then she was your lover?”

I didn’t reply as She teased

“Hmm guess I’m right after all…you had learned it just to braid your lover’s hair”

She glanced up at me with a smile on her face

“I said a female friend not a lover..witch”

“Okay..tell me about your love life then”

“What?! There is no way I’m sharing that aspect of my life with you”

“Why?”

I was silent..my love Life? I don’t want to talk about it with anyone… It a story I don’t want to remember

“Nothing”

I said to Kira

“Okay”

“So when will you like to call your parents again?”

“I don’t know Darius… I will just send them messages for now”

“Why didn’t you ask Lana about Max?”

“Nothing Darius”

She replied me sharply. I shouldn’t have mentioned that

“I’m sorry for asking”
