📚Chapter Forty Four📚

🌀🌀LINCOLN POV

I smiled as I and Belle walked back home.She was discharged after I paid the bills and the doctor instructed her on how to take the medicines prescribed to her.

I felt happy seeing her look fine,the bandage on her head and arm was already taken off and it appears that their wasn’t any wound on her head and arm.It got healed already..

“Lin,can you please get me some ice creams? I feel like taking some thing cold”.She said staring at a shop selling ice creams.

“Sure,I will be right back. You can keep myself busy with my phone”.I said and handed her my phone.

“Wow! Thanks Lin”.She smiled and I nodded before walking to the ice cream shop.

🌀🌀BELLE POV

I felt so happy when I saw Lin walking into the ward I was in,I thought he was never going to find me but I guess I was wrong.

I sat on a bench nearby as I watch him watch into the Ice cream shop, I was busy admiring him but suddenly a voice whispered in my ear.

“Hi”.I heard and I flinched.

It was the same guy Tripp who slapped me the day I charmed Lin’s boss.

Hmm..yeah,I charmed the man with my eyes and voice.It wasn’t even difficult..

But now what’s this Tripp guy doing here? He should be glad I forgave him when he slapped me or else he would be at his grave laying dead.

“Hi,you always look so beautiful just like an angel”.He said softly roaming his eyes around my body.

He was dressed in a classic T shirt and red p-nt,he looked really friendly this time and that made me surprised.

“Ok..ay,you can leave now”.I scoffed but he shook his head.

“No,at least not yet.I want us to be friends,good friends”.He cooed and I shrugged before I continued staring at I and Lin’s pictures.

It was the ones we took this morning and Gosh,we looked so cute together.

“Am sorry for the way I treated you the second time we met,and I also want to apologize for misleading you…”.I cut him off angrily.

“You mean for kidnapping me ,don’t you know that that proved how bad you and your evil friends are?”.I snapped and he sighed heavily.

Yuck! His breath smells of smoke,it was probably the smoke he had inhaled recently when he was approaching me.

What a guy! He haven’t even changed one bit..

He kept quiet for some seconds,he was roaming his lustful eyes around my body.

I felt uncomfortable and I shifted repeatedly on the bench,I just wanted Lin to come right now.

“Am sorry for doing that to you”.He finally spoke. “Am really sorry,am..”.

He paused when his eyes glance at Lin’s phone screen.

“Oh! Dammit!!”.He cursed inaudibly and walked away furiously.

Why was he furious when he saw Lin and I picture on the phone?

I didn’t know but their was one thing I knew for sure…He was jealous!

I frowned as I stared at my fiance eating dinner on the huge dining table.

He was a rich man,I could call him a millionaire. He owns many cars and houses and that was why I wanted to marry him.He got the money but I don’t love him,he makes me hate him sometimes.

“Sweetheart, why aren’t you eating?”.He asked as he chewed his meat hastily.I almost puked when I saw him licking the dried bone.

Besides the fact that he was rich,he behaves like a poverty stricken man.Gross! That is why I can’t bring myself to love him.

No! Never!!

“Nothing, I will tell the maids to warm up the water.I need to take a bath”.I said and hurried out of the dining room.

I felt so irritated.. I really hate everything about him well except his money.

I pull off my clothes when I got to my room and as usual watch the maids warm up my body.

Gosh! It feels so good having everybody wrapped around my finger,oh except that guy Lincoln.

I must get him to fall for me,he seems to dislike me now but I will try my best to make him love me.

Oh dear Lincoln! You will be mine soon,very soon..

If my charms don’t work then I will think of something else.I don’t even think he has a wife or girlfriend but if he has,I wouldn’t mind taking them out of the way.

I don’t care if they get hurt or not,I want Lincoln.

I only want him!!

📚Chapter Forty Five📚

I woke up the next day and brushed my teeth before going to the kitchen to make breakfast.I think Belle was still asleep cause well I didn’t see her in the kitchen or anywhere else in the house.

I decided to go check on her in her room and when I did, I saw her sleeping so peacefully.Wow!

I walked back to the kitchen and began making pancakes.I brought it to the dining room after it was ready then I was about going to call Belle but she beat me to it.

“Good morning Lin”.She said and walked closer to the dining table.She looked sleepy and her hair was messy..

“Good morning”.I said and watched her sit on one of the dining chairs.

“I guess I slept too long”.She said and I smiled.

“Yes you did,sleeping beauty”.I said and she blushed a bit.

“Hmm..what did you make?”.She asked as she tried to fix her messy hair in a bun.

“Pancakes.I hope you eat it,it’s made with eggs and well you said you don’t want to eat anything made with eggs cause it’s forbidden in your place”.I did a shrug and she giggled.

“I..I will eat it Lin, I don’t care if it’s made with eggs,after all am not in that kingdom anymore so I can do eat anything I want to eat”.She said and I beamed.

“Wow! That’s good to hear”.I said and she nodded.

I watch her eat while eating mine and I got to notice she was licking her l-ips severely as she ate.She seems to like the food..

“Oh Lin,this is super amazing”.She said as she ate more pancakes and my cheeks heat up.

“Thanks Bel”.I mumbled and continued eating.

“It’s so sad I didn’t learn how to make this,I wasn’t in the kitchen when you were making it”.Her voice was dull.

“It’s okay,I will teach you how to make it some other time”.I said and she smiled.

“Thanks Lin”.

After we were done eating,Belle offered to wash the dishes while I prepared for work.My suspension was over..

I wore some clothes and dried my w-t hair before walking to the living room.I switched on the TV cause I really need to watch some news before leaving the house and thanks fully,the news of the fire that occurred in Flora’s Supermarket was showing on TV.

Only twenty people were saved in the fire not four and the rest both buyers and workers died unfortunately.

Geez! The person who caused the fire should be severely punished..

“Lin,aren’t you leaving to your workplace?”.Belle asked as she sat close to me on the same sofa.

“Okay,I will be leaving now.I will return soon”.I said but she nodded,looking sad.

“I hope so”.She mouthed and I waved at her before I went off to the restaurant.

I got there after some minutes but when I was about going in,Madeline blocked my way.

I frowned as I glanced at her.

What is she going to do today? Create another problem for me by yelling to attract Boss attention? Damn! Am taking my salary tomorrow and I know Boss won’t pay me my complete payment cause of what Madeline caused.

It is all her fault!

“I have been waiting for you!”.She smiled but when she saw the frown on my face,her smile dropped.

“Look! I just want to apologize to you for what happened three days ago,it was my fault and am sorry”.She apologized ruefully.

“Sorry can’t change a thing, Madeline.You can excuse me now”.I snapped but she sighed sadly.

“I want to show you how sorry I am,please accept this gift”.She said and handed me a wrapped box which I took reluctantly.

“Thanks”.I said and sh blushed, her cheeks were so pink.

“Oh! I hope you like it”.She giggled and ran away looking so excited.

I carefully unwrapped the package but was surprised to see a packaged phone. What??

I unsealed it and was more than surprised to see a phone in,side.It was a phone,a new phone.

Though the phone wasn’t expensive but at least it was affordable.

“Thanks Madeline”.I muttered to myself before going into the restaurant.

Belle is phone less and well,I have a phone so it’s better to hand Belle this new phone so that she wouldn’t feel so
bored whenever am not at home.Yeah,that’s a great idea..

I walked back home after the restaurant closed for the day and it didn’t even get up to ten minutes before I got to my house.

I was walking so fast..

I opened the door and I saw Belle watching TV.

“Belle,am back!”.I said and she stared at me smiling widely.

“Have been waiting for you”.She said,her eyes twinkling in excitement.

“Am here now and um..I will go freshen up”.I said and she nodded.

“You should, I prepared dinner already”.She said and I flashed her a smile before walking to my room.

I freshened up quickly and went to the dining room where I expected Belle to be with my phone and the new phone on my hands.

“I made fruit salade”.She said as I walked into the dining room.

I nodded as I sat on a seat before I began eating but when I was halfway through the food,I passed the new phone to her.

“Who owns this phone,Lin? It doesn’t look like yours”.She looked confused as she glanced at the phone.

“It’s yours”.I said and she shrugged,shaking her head.

“Stop joking Lin,I know it isn’t mine”.She scoffed taking her glance off the phone.

“Am not joking Bel,the phone is yours”.I said and she gasped,racing her eyes to the phone and back to me.

And before I could count to two,she hugged me..

I woke up and yawned the next morning,I stared at the wall clock and the time was 6:42pm.Oh my Gosh! Am almost late for work..

I quickly ran out of bed before brushing my teeth, I took my bath and dressed up before walking to the dining room.

Belle was there setting breakfast on the dining table and I smiled. Oh! I felt glad that she made breakfast.

“Morning Bel”.I cooed and she smiled.

“Good morning Lin”.She answered and when she was finally done setting the food on the dining table,we began eating.

After we were done,Belle washed the dishes while I went off to my workplace.

“Lincoln!”.Someone called and I turned just to see Mrs Flynn,timothy mum waving her hand at me.

I walked closer to her and she unexpectedly pulled me in a brief hug.

“Oh Lincoln! How have you been?”.She said looking sad and I wondered why.

“Am fine,am doing fine Mrs Flynn”.I said and she nodded.

“Uh,I don’t know if I should ask this but please don’t take my question as an offense”.She sighed and when I gave her the go ahead,she continued.

“Well um..have you found your mum yet?”.

I felt a sting in my heart when she mentioned the word ‘mum’,it made me remember how my mum pushed away when I hugged her.

I felt so destroyed,so useless..My thoughts were now filled with sad memories,she reminded me of something I was trying so hærd to forget.

“No”.I replied lowly trying to stop my voice from cracking.I didn’t want anyone else except Belle to know I saw my mum.

How can I tell them what she said and did to me? I can’t say that, I just can’t.

“I feel very sad that she left you,I mean why would a mother leave someone like you Lincoln. You are very good and responsible but your mum,she is so…unlike you”.She said and I blinked back my tears which were trying to get out of my eyes.

“Thanks Mrs Flynn”.My voice was still low.

“Anyway,I wanted to invite you to Timothy birthday party.He is gonna be twenty two years soon”.She said and I shrugged,of course I didn’t even want to come.

“Congratulations!”.I said with a fake smile on my l-ips.

“Hope you are gonna come?”.She asked but I shook my head.

“No,Mrs Flynn.I got plenty of things to do tomorrow”.I said and she laughed silently.

“Thank Goodness! The party is not tomorrow,his birthday is today and the party is tonight. I will be expecting you”.She said and walked away not giving me a chance to say anything.

Ah! I will have to come..it would be very disrespectful to disappoint Mrs Flynn.

I sighed as I continued walking to work but as soon as I got to the restaurant, I saw Madeline she was walking towards my direction.

“Thanks for the gift,Madeline”.I said and she blushed.

“I know you will like the gift,so are you with it now?”.She chirped and I shook my head.

“Nope,I handed it over to my girlfriend.She wanted to have her own phone”.I said and her face immediately turned pale.
