Chapter 4
PRACHI POV
“What?”I asked as I quickly went to her

“He wants to marry me and I don’t want to marry him,I just don’t want to”Priya said again crying

“Was that why they had called you, Is it to tell you about his proposal?”I asked

“Yes it is and it’s all your fault Prachi, why did you have to be rude to him,He is doing this because you were rude to him,He should have asked for you and not me”She said pushing me away

“But being rude to some one doesn’t make it a reason for him to marry you!”I said again

“But he did! He did and there is nothing we can do about it,My marriage is set for next week”She said

“For next week? Isn’t he going to conduct the proper ceremony”I asked

“He is leaving for his own country by next week,So he wants every thing to be done before he leaves, I don’t want to Marry him Prachi,I love Shivam and I want to spend the rest of my life with him”She said crying again.

“Where was he when you left?”I asked

“He was talking to father in his study “She answered

“Give me a few minutes,I will be right back”I said as I left the room.

Priya is right! This is all my fault,He is getting back at me for being rude to him and he using Priya .

He knows that my sister is my weakness,He would have sense it when dad had showed up and she had hid behind me.

Well I won’t let him have his way,I won’t let him,I thought as I got to the study only to find no one there.

I went out side and saw him by the car talking on the phone and fortunately my parents weren’t there.

Quickly I ran to him and stopped when I heard what he was saying.

“Yes I will be married next week, I don’t want my family to know about it,Just get down to India and be my best man”He said having a smile on his face

“Yes she is very beautiful and I bet she will know how to please me perfectly”He said and feeling so furious,I pulled the phone from him and throw it away.

“You jerk !”I yelled at him

“You again! What exactly is your problem”He asked

“How dare you propose marriage to my sister!”I asked impatiently

“And what does that have to do with you?”He asked

“You are doing it just to get back at me right?you are doing it because you know that my sister is my weakness and you want to get back at me by marrying her forcefully?”I said

“First of all am not using her,I like Priya and I want her to be my wife and secondly you think so high of your self, Why would I choose to get back at you by using Priya,You are not that important to me okay”

“I know what you are doing and I won’t let you achieve your aim”I said

“And how will you stop me,By meddling with the wedding? You try that and I will show you what am made of,They just don’t call me Ruthless for nothing and a piece of advice to you Prachi,Instead of thinking the world revolves around you,Use that time to have a look at your appearance,Try dressing up some more and who knows,Some random idiot might just pick you up”He added the last comment having a devilish smile on his face and then he left in his car.

I head back to our room,Still thinking about the things he said to me.

“What did he say,Will he stop the wedding”Priya asked

“No Priya,He likes you and he wants you as his wife”I replied

“But I don’t want to be his wife,I want to be Shivam wife”She said crying again and quickly I went to hug her.

“Don’t worry sis,I won’t let you marry that big oaf,I will do all I can to stop this wedding”I said trying to comfort my sister.

THE NEXT DAY
I sat in the library reading my book when Priya showed up looking agitated .

“What’s wrong?”I asked

“It’s him,He just texted me ,Saying he is in front of our school” She said

“How the hell did he know this place”I shouted before realising that I was in the library

“Father must have told him and he is here now,He wants to see me and spend the day with me but I can’t do that because I will be seeing Shivam, He will be here soon,You have got to help me” She said to me

“Don’t worry Priya, I will go to Justin right now and while I take him out of school,You leave with Shivam okay”I said as I began to pack my things into my bag.

I was heading out when I ran into Anav, ‘”Hello Prachi”He greeted

“Just get away from me Anav, Because of what you did the last time,Have put my older sister in jeopardy” I said

“Really? Tell me more”He said as he kept on following me

“Go to Hell”I muttered

“Like seriously,When will your sister learn to stand on her own two feet,She is your older sister yet she acts like the younger one while you act like the older one,You tend to get her out of trouble all the time”He said as we got outside

Feeling so angry,I stopped and pull him by his shirt

“Mind your business,What ever goes on with my sister and I is none of your darn business”I said totally vexed

“Easy Prachi,Have forgotten that you act like a wild dog when it comes to your sister”He said again

“Anav don’t force me to………”

“If you are done showing how manly you are,Can you tell me where to find Priya?” Justin said behind us and quickly I went to him

“Priya is still busy with Economics class”I responded

“But economics class end……..”

“Shut up Anav”I said interrupting Anav and he gave me a smile

“Why don’t we leave and on the way,I will help you call Priya,She tends not to answer her call if she is in class and economics class always seem to take long too” I said

“Prachi”some one called behind me and I turned to see Shivam coming towards us.

He mustn’t see Justin and Justin must not see him,I thought as I took Justin hand and ran away with him.

“What’s this where are we going?”He asked as he pulled off his hand.

“To see Priya, I will tell you where she is,Let’s just leave “I said as I pushed him into his car and I got in with him.

“Drive fast,Let’s leave”I said urging him and he did as I told him.

Chapter 5
PRACHI POV
“Look missy,Have been driving for an hour now and we still haven’t gotten to the place yet,Am getting tired as it is” Justin said as I sat more comfortably on the chair.

“Don’t worry we will get there soon,Just take a right now”I said starring at him and when he didn’t answer I added

“Or don’t you want to see Priya?” Angrily he turned the car to his right and I smiled to myself.

Through the rest of the day,He will keep on driving in circles.

He thinks I will take him to Priya, Well I will take him some where far and then leave him to get back to Bombay on his own.

That will be my revenge on him for insulting me yesterday.

“Don’t you have some songs,Let’s play some music,I feel bored”I said as I tried to t-rn on the radio

“Don’t! I hate to be distracted while driving” He said

“,Oh!!!!! Well then let’s talk about some thing,The drive is still a mile or so and instead of just being quiet let’s talk about some thing”I said

If I can get him to talk about himself then I can find some thing on him which our parent might dislike and certainly they would stop the marriage,I thought.

“Tell me about your self”I asked

“The only person am expecting to ask that is Priya and it’s only her that I will give an answer to”He said

“What ever,it’s not like I want to know more about you”I said

“Tell me more about Priya”He said

“I think Priya will explain that better when you see her” I retorted and he did some thing that surprised me, He smiled

“You are the first female who treats me this way”He said

“Why? Have you always been treated like a king?”I asked

“Well some thing like that! Because of my wealth,A lot of women try to get me into their bed”

“And what? You rejected them?”

“Am a man, What do you think I will do when a girl offers herself”He asked

“You really will…..”

“Of course, Being celibate isn’t my style”He said

“And so when you marry my sister and she denies you s€×,You are saying you will cheat on her with any woman that comes your way?”I asked

“Well if it gets to that point”He said having a smile on his face

“You really are a jerk,I was right about you,Stop the car “I yelled at him

“Hey I just can’t stop In the middle of nowhere”He said

“Yes you can and you will”I said as I began to fight for the steering wheel.

He had no option than to stop the car.

“Are you mad?”he asked

“No you are the mad one, I cant believe my dad is marrying his daughter off to a disgusting pervert like you, Well for your darn information,My sister is still at school,I purposely led you out of school,So you wouldn’t see her and am glad that you didn’t see her”I said as I opened the door

“At school? Then why the hell did you bring me here”He said as he also got out of school.

“To punish you for your insults yesterday,Did you think I will let that pass?”

“I should look at my appearance,Some random idiot will pick me up, Well mister! Am okay as I am and I can assure you that when the man of my dreams arrive,It will certainly not be a random idiot”I added

“Try getting to Bombay on your own,Am heading back,ALONE!!!” I said and walked off.

I was expecting him to say some thing but he never said any thing,Neither did he try to stop me.

Serves him right! I thought as I head to the nearest station.

I got back home quite late and as soon as I walked in,side,I knew some thing was wrong.

Both my parents were In the sitting room.

“What’s wrong?” I asked as I walked in

“You knew right? You knew that your sister was seeing some one else,Yet you kept shut about it”My father yelled at me

“I…….I…….”

“There is nothing you can say that can justify you Prachi,Your sister will be marrying Justin and that’s final”He said

“But why dad? Why must she marry Justin,He is nothing but a big time womaniser”I said

“You really want to know why he has to marry Priya,Well then I will tell you, I will surely tell you why he has to marry Priya”He said

“Honey don’t!”my mom said to him but he wouldnt listen

“You live in luxury,You two never lack for anything,You study in the best of college and yet you never ask how or where I got the money”

“You do work dad”I said

“And earn a meagre salary,The money I earn won’t serve up to our expenses,Neither would it send you to school”He said

“So how did you get the money dad?”I asked

“By stealing it,Have been stealing in Justin company and if it wasn’t for him marrying Priya,I would be in jail”He said

“What?”

“I stole to make you all happy and satisfied and now the owner has come for the thief but he wants Priya and in exchange he wouldn’t press charges on me”He said looking so sad and weak.

“I also don’t want her to marry Justin,I know that he is nothing but a damn womaniser but I have no choice”He said as he used his hand to cover his face in shame.

“Your father is sick Prachi and if he doesn’t have enough rest,He might die,He didn’t want to give Priya away but he had no choice,It’s either his health or Priya and I told him to choose his health, You must try to understand us and you must also convince Priya that marrying Justin will be the best for all of us” my mother said

I sat there stunned and I watched my parents leave the room.

It’s up to me now to convince Priya or my father goes to jail, I thought as I went to our room.

As soon as I walked in,Priya ran to me

“I didn’t know how they found out,I swear I didn’t want them to know about Shivam” She said crying

“But they know now and there is nothing we can do”I said

“What do you mean by there is nothing you can do?”She asked and I told her what our parents told me.

“I can’t believe this” She said as she began to cry again

“But I don’t want to marry him,I don’t love him,I love Shivam”She begged

“There is nothing I can do,He wants you Priya and that’s the only dad won’t be sent to jail”I said

“But you can do some thing about it,You have always get me out of trouble,Do this one for me Prachi,Find a way to get me out of this one”She said crying and lookingso helpless.

“Fine I will think of some thing,I will think of some thing”I said as I began to think of some thing
