🌞Chun cha POV🌞

Tears kept gushing out of my eyes, while staring at her unconscious body on the hospital bed.

“Who did this to you, Mi cha?” I held her hand and asked.

“Who have you wronged to deserve this?”

“Hi ma’am” I looked up to see the female Doctor.

I quickly stood up and rushed to her.

“What happened to my daughter?”

“Tell me, she is fine right?” I choked on my words.

The Doctor shot me a loving smile.

“Your daughter is alright, ma’am” She answered.

“It’s just a minor injury, although you should be thankful the boy brought her here very early” She continued.

I looked at Audrey.

“But she is unconscious” I said lowly, not taking my eyes away from her figure on the bed.

“She’s not unconscious ma’am, she’d been given a Pentazocine injection- to help relieve the pains and she’s responding to treatment” The Doctor explained and I felt relieve washed all over me.

“So you have absolutely nothing to worry about” She added with an assuring smile.

“Thanks Doctor”
I bowed a little and went back to where I was sitting.

“Uhmmm, Doctor”

“Yes ma’am” She stopped walking and turned around.

“The boy, the boy that brought my daughter here”

“Who is he?” I asked, curiously.

The Doctor shook her head.

“He refused to tell us something about himself, ma’am”

“He only told us he had spoken with you and that you’re already on your way”

That’s true..

I heard a masculine voice, after I’ve been calling Audrey’s phone with no respond.

I was taken aback at first- but then, he dropped the most shocking news about my only daughter.

I rushed down here without listening to his further talks.

“And you need to see how worried he was” The Doctor’s voice snapped me out of my thought.

“The boy truly care about your daughter, I must say” She added with a smile on her face, but I just stared on.

Who could he be?

The Doctor bowed lightly and turned to walk away but stopped to look at me.

“I noticed the boy was wearing the same uniform with your daughter” She said.

I just nodded.

Audrey would definitely know the boy.

But when did she start keeping male friends too?

Thank you Lord for the new changes.

“She will be discharged tomorrow” The Doctor said before walking out the door.

In_the_evening

“Oh my goodness, Min jun!” Dad exclaimed in surprise, immediately he s₱0t me entering the living room.

“I’ve been trying your phone, it wasn’t reachable”

He rose to his feet.

“Both your phone and your driver’s” He continued, looking so worried.

“Where have you been?”

“What happened?” He asked in his fatherly tone, walking closer to where I was standing.

“Holy Jesus!” His eyes bulged as he stared at my stained chest.

“Talk to me already, Aaron” He tapped my cheeks.

“Why is your uniform soaked with blood?” He almost yelled, frantically.

“Dad” I hugged him tight, allowing those pending tears to drop on their own.

“I’m sick, I’m not myself lately, Dad” I cried in his shoulder.

“Shush” He hushed me, tapping my back.

“Tell me how you’re feeling, son?”

I disengaged from the embrace, facing him.

“It’s her, Dad”

“She had succeeded in ruining my heart”

I moved away from where I was standing, choking on every words.

“And today, I cried” I continued, staring blankly.

“I cried all because I saw her in her own blood, Dad” I turned to Dad and confessed.

“But who’s she, Son?” Dad asked as he came to me.

“It’s Psycho” I told him, wiping away the tears.

He smiled, placing a hand on my shoulder.

“Tell me, Dad”

“I need to see a Doctor, right?” I asked him and he shook his head, negatively.

“No, son”

“Then what’s she doing to me?!” I half yelled, removing his hand from my shoulder.

“I’ve never cried in my entire life because of a girl, until today” I shoved a hand into my hair.

“Answer me, Dad”

“What’s she doing to me?” My voice crooked.

“You’re in love with her, Aaron” Dad answered with a triumph smile plastered on his face.

I stared at him, like he just uttered gibberish.

“Love?” I scoffed, after a short silence.

“Yes son, you’re in love with psycho”

“What are you even saying, Dad?” I gritted my teeth in anger.

“You and I both know I can never like a girl” I reminded him.

He moved to stand in front of me.

“But what can you do now?” He raised his brows.

“She already captured your heart, son, you just won’t admit it” He winked.

“Finally!” He raised his hands.

I shook my head before walking past him.

“I knew you can’t help matters all along” I mumbled, heading towards the stairs.

“How’s she, by the way?” He asked at my back, but I didn’t reply.

“How did she get into an accident?”

“And how did you manage to save her?”

I rolled my eyes.

My mind drifted to her again as i got to the hallway.

I drew in a long breath.

I just hope she’s fine.

‘Are you really in love with her?’ My subconscious mind sneered.

‘No, I am not!’ I almost scre-m loudly.

“Sleep well, Aaron” Dad shouted from downstairs, disrupting my thoughts.

I glanced at him.

“I meant dream about.. her” He drawled the last word.

“Ugh!” I gro-ned before marching towards my room.

This is all your fault, psycho!

🥀 Audrey POV🥀

I flicked my eyelids open.

Huh?
I shut my eyes briefly and opened them again.

Where’s this place?

I darted my eyes around for a while and then, realisation hit me- I’m in the hospital.

Who brought me?

Could it be him- the Head prefect?

No!

He’s a monster, he would never thought of bringing me here, after hurting me.

I felt a sharp pain in my head, while sitting up.

I gro-ned softly.

He’s gonna regret every bit of the pain he caused me, together with the mastermind behind this, cause I’m so sure he’s not alone in this.

I should start going home- mum would be so worried sick by now.

“Oh goodness, Mi cha!”

“You are finally awake!” Mum’s voice stopped me from leaving the bed.

Huh?

She rushed to me with smiles all over her face.

“How are you feeling now?” She asked, pushing my hair back.

I opened my mouth to talk.

“Are you feeling pain anywhere?” She cupped my cheeks and asked.

I smiled- so loving.

“I’m alright, mum” My voice crooked.

I let out a small cough so I can get my voice back.

She sat down on the bed close to me and slowly held my hands.

“I was so worried, Audrey”

“I thought something bad was going to happen to you” Her voice came out unsteady, she’s about to cry.

“I’m alright, mum”

“But how did you bring me to the hospital?” I questioned.

“Cause if I am not mistaken, Immediately that jackass hit me on the head, I fell to the floor with no hope of a life saver” I explained, staring at the cabinet beside me.

Mum squeezed my hands warmly.

“Tell me, Audrey”
“What have you done?”

I turned to look her, abruptly.

“What do you mean by that, mum?” I asked, harshly.

“Why were you hit on the head?”

“I don’t know, mum!” I yelled, removing my hand from her hold.

“I boarded a cab, the cab driver took the wrong direction, I was shocked and asked him where he was taking me- and I was beyond shock when the cab driver turned out to be the school Head prefect” I narrated in a high pitch voice.

I’m pissed right now.
She thought I got into a fight.

“The school Head prefect?” She asked like she’d heard wrong.

“Yes mum!”

I averted my eyes around the ward for the wall clock; it’s 10:00am.

Oh my..
I already passed a night here?

I glanced at my body- I’m wearing the hospital cloth.

Whoa!

“But why would he do that?” Mum’s voice snapped me back.

“We’ll find out soon, cause the most shocking part is that we never talked before, so I don’t understand ”

“I’m going to school now, mum” I announced, crawling out of the bed.

“No, no, Audrey”
She stopped me with her hands.

“You need to eat first so you can take the pills the Doctor had recommended”

“Those can wait, mum” I groused.

“Please, baby”

“I promise we are going to your school after you took the medications” She said, levelly.

I heaved a deep sigh before nodding my head slowly.

“You didn’t even ask after your life savior” Mum said after a brief silence, while feeding me.

I gestured at her to hold on.

I gulped the last content she’d scooped into my mouth and collected the glass of water.

I drank some water and kept the glass cup.

“I was going to ask earlier but it skipped my mind”

“Who saved me from dying?” I asked curiously.

She breathe out heavily before narrating everything to me.

My mouth went agape immediately.

“So, who’s your new male friend that you haven’t introduced to me?” Mum asked, smiling at me.

I just stared at her.

“The person was wearing the same uniform with me?” I asked her again to be sure I haven’t heard wrong.

She nodded.

“That was what the Doctor told me” Mum answered, bringing out the medications from her handbag.

It can never be the Head prefect- he wasn’t even wearing the school uniform.

Then who?

I coughed out loud when my mind drifted to Duffer.

“Are you okay?” Mum asked worriedly, stretching out the glass of water to me.

I gulped it down at once and gave the cup to her.

No!
It can’t be him, or can he?

He doesn’t even live in that area.

Then who could it be?
And it was a male.

“Are you trying to tell me you don’t know who your savior might be?” Mum asked with popped eyes.

I shook my head, sympathetically.

“Oh my world, Audrey”
She flapped her hair back as she talks.

I placed a hand on my bandaged head.

Oh lord, who could it be?

“You mean the head prefect did this to you?” The principal asked for the second time.

Mum and I are sitting next to each, facing with the principal.

I just finished narrating all that transpired between the head prefect and I.

“Yes, Mr An!”
“And I’m arresting him right away!”

Mum has gone ballistic.

“Calm down, ma’am”
“It’s just hærd to believe” He says, shaking his head.

“Then call him here!” Mum half yelled, banging her fist on the table.

The principal nodded before making use of the telephone.

“Send Travis in, right now” He ordered in his cold voice, before dropping the phone.

“Are you sure about what you’re saying?” He looked at me and asked.

I seethe inwardly and before I could utter a word, his office door creaked open, interrupting me.

“Come here, Travis” The principal gestured with his head.

I took my eyes to him and he froze immediately.

Hold on,
He wasn’t expecting me to come report his crimes?
Or perhaps he thought I was going to die.

Mum stood up and charged towards him.

“How dare you hurt my daughter!” Mum shot at him fiercely, sending a hærd slap to his left cheek.

Mr An quickly stepped in.

“You should stop this, ma’am” The principal almost yell.

“How could you tell me stop it, when he’d wanted to kill my daughter” Mum scowled.

“Calm down, mum”
I held her wrist and make her sat down.

I glanced at the head prefect, and it looks like he’s just reviving from the slap.

“She narrated a story to me, which I still find hærd to believe till you enlighten me” The principal said, after he returned to his seat- facing him.

The principal took his time to narrate everything to him, the same way I told him.

“I don’t know anything about this, sir” He said flatly and I looked up at him in shock.

“You don’t know what?” I asked him in a low voice, getting on my feet.

He shook his head.

“You’re mistaken me for another person” He said calmly, staring at his feet.

“Have you lost your mind?” I bellowed.

“Audrey” Mum called.

“You’re doing this so I can look like a fool, right?”

“Hey! That’s enough” The principal ch¡pped in.

“Sir, he’s the same person that beat and hit me with a plank” I faced the principal and told him, in a crying voice.

“Sit down, dear” He cooed.

I shot him one more glance before sitting down.

“You see this boy standing over here” The principal began, pointing a finger to him.

“I’ve known him right from his kindergarten, and believe me, I know what he can and cannot do” He said with so much trust.

“So you mean to say my daughter is lying?” Mum asked, angrily.

The principal breathe out before speaking up.

“She’s being injured in the head, I would urge you to go back to the hospital, to check if things haven’t gone wrong” He advised, looking so serious.

Mum and I share a short glance.

“Are you being serious?” Mum asked him.

He nodded.

Mum stood up with rage and took my hand before stomping out of the office.

“You’re leaving this school, Audrey” Mum clenched her teeth in anger.

“It’s fine, mum”
“It hasn’t gotten to this..”

“Of course it has, Mi cha” She cut in.

I smiled, walking beside her- heading to where the car is parked.

I’ll make sure he confessed his crimes himself, I promise.

And again, I still need to find who saved my life.

I really owe him.
