MY BIRTHDAY PARTY
EPISODE 26.
 
Locking the door they met with Joseph coming, “hi baby, happy new month, Lily said and hugged him while Winifred greeted him.
“How you birthday girl? Joseph asked Winifred and she smiled.
“I’m fine but its not my birthday yet na, Winifred replied.
“I know, let’s go, Joseph said leading them to his car.
 
Dropping them off he hurried back to the house they relocated from, “you guys haven’t gone yet? Joseph asked.
“Isn’t it too early? If we start getting them who is going to take Care of them? Where will they stay? Desmond asked.
“So when will the picking begin? Joseph asked.
“Picking? Is it beans? Simeon asked.
“I am not joking here because I have somewhere to go now, what’s your plan? Joseph asked.
“OK birthday planner, let’s begin on the 5th for its still too early, Robert replied.
“Fine, see you guys later, Joseph said taking his car key and left.
 
“Has that guy gone nut or something? What makes him think that girl will love him? Desmond asked.
“Love is blind, but I feel he should give up already because she won’t love him, Victor said.
“Just let him be, he wants to see it with his own eyes maybe by then he will surrender, Simeon said………
 
Joseph left to book for drinks on time for the birthday and the venue the party will hold. He earlier told Lily to call him when they are free from school and she did. He hurried down to school and picked them up to a boutique telling them to pick whatever they want.
 
Winifred only stood watching while Lily did the picking, Joseph noticed that and approached them.
“What’s wrong Winifred? He asked.
“Nothing, why? She asked.
“Lily is the only one shopping here, why are you not picking? He asked.
“Nah I trust her choice for me and its beautiful, Winifred replied.
“Are you sure about that? Joseph asked.
“Yea, she replied and Lily came out from a section with some hangers.
 
“Honey how do you see this? This will look good on the birthday girl, Lily said placing the gown on Winifred.
“Yea you’re right, its beautiful. What about the shoes? He asked.
“I was about going there now, let’s go, Lily said holding their hands to the shoes section……….
 
Days passed already, Victor and his gangs were seriously having difficulties with getting the girls because of the tight securities.
They were able to get 4 girls and the delivery date was the next day.
“I didn’t know it will be this difficult, gosh! Victor exclaimed.
“I think we should get the last girl this night, what time are we going for the last and deliver them to get our pay tomorrow? Simeon asked.
‘Oh no I am so tired now, Joseph said.
“Tired? When you were busy concentrating planning for your girlfriend birthday. We have to go this night because we can’t tell how tomorrow will look like, Desmond said.
The guys nodded in agreement and they left the house together…………
 
Its the 10th of March, Lily woke Winifred up by scre-ming in her ears singing a birthday song.
“Oh my gosh I feel excited today like its my birthday, girl your party will be boom! Happy birthday darling, Lily said all at once and pecked her.
“Thank you, but you shouldn’t behave like a mad person, Winifred said.
“You are lucky its your day today because I would have landed you a dirty slap. Lazy ass get up and get prepared for school, Lily said and left to tidy up herself while Winifred sat thinking.
 
“It will be my second party today and am having a bad feeling here. Oliver I wish you are here because right now I can’t help but feel scared, after all this is all your fault because you started this, Winifred quietly said and her phone began to ring………….
 
Stella called up the guys telling them where the girls will be delivered by 1pm. “Don’t keep them waiting, Stella concluded.
“Thank you, the guys replied and ended the call, checked the time and saw it was past 12p.m already.
The hurried up the girls they caught to the bus, filled their guns with ammunitions and set up for the place.
 
Alfred and Patrick already informed the cops about them and the video of all the conversations the guys have been having was given to them as a clear evidence against the guys.
 
The police invaded the wh0le place before time waiting at strategic positions for their arrival.
It was an uncompleted building that was planned and Alfred with a disguised police man and lady was kept to collect the girls from them and a bag filled with papers but garnished with few notes was given to them.
 
Few minutes later a bus arrived there and the guys came out armed with the girls with them.
Alfred came out with the police man and shook hands with them.
“Here are they, Desmond said pushing the girls to them while Alfred checked their body.
 
“The senator will be so impressed, take them in, Alfred said and the lady with them dragged the girls in.
“The pay, Desmond said and Alfred nodded at the man who went in and came out with a black traveling bag and handed it to them.
 
Desmond opened the bag and saw cool cash in it, he smiled and zipped the bag.
“Tell the senator it was nice doing business with him, Desmond said and Alfred nodded and left slowly while the guys wanted returning back to their bus but they saw men coming out with guns pointing at them.
 
“I’ll advice you drop your guns or your body will be scattered here because you are surrounded, the disguised police man said bringing a gun from his jacket.
“What’s the meaning of this! Desmond shouted.
“Why not shut up because there was no senator, now drop your guns and your hands above your heads now! The man shouted at them…………
 
Joseph at the party hall kept calling the guys to find out how it went but they were not picking up.
He got confused at a point because he had no idea where the girls will be delivered.
 
5pm the arranged time for the party to begin arrived, Joseph made sure everywhere was booming already.
Lily who dressed Winifred up was satisfied with her looks.
“You look so sweet baby, Lily said.
“Thank you, you guys are already giving me a preamble of what my wedding will look like, Winifred said.
“Wedding? Don’t give go there because that will be a bomb. Remember you have me nau, Lily said and Winifred smiled as tears was already gathered in her eyes.
“What’s that for? Just stop okay if you are thinking anything will go wrong on your day. Your birthday carries no evil and today will prove you wrong, I am very sure of that, Lily said cleaning her tears and Winifred hugged her.
 
Reaching the hall, Lily didn’t see Joseph around and he wasn’t picking his call. She whispered in Winifred ears that she’ll be back and left to Joseph place.
She saw few cars packed outside and wondered how Joseph will have such cars but he only drives one. She knocked once and opened the door but saw no one in the sitting room.
The house looked quite different and she felt he wasn’t staying alone.
 
She opened one of the rooms and saw Joseph holding a ring, “who’s it for? Lily asked and he turned surprised to see her.
“What are you doing here? He asked.
“I was looking for you and you weren’t picking your calls. The party has begun and I was worried you are not there yet, she said.
“I know okay, i came to refresh up, Joseph said and wanted leaving the room.
“So who is that for? Lily asked referring to the ring and he stopped.
 
“For Winifred, why? He asked.
“A ring for Winifred? I mean what for? Lily asked.
“Why are you so concerned, I don’t have to tell you what i should give to her okay, he said and left the room.
“Is there anything you’re not telling me? Lily asked following him behind.
“What do you want to hear Lily? He asked.
“The truth! She shouted and he smiled.
 
“The truth is so clear, so don’t blame me if you couldn’t see it all this while, Joseph said.
“What do you mean? She asked.
“I love Winifred, I’ve always loved her even before she met you. But you see she didn’t love me back, and guess what, I used every opportunity and human i can use to get close to her which you’re not an exception. Are you okay now? Joseph asked and Lily mouth was open in shock.
 
“Tell me you’re joking, Lily said.
“You have always wanted the truth and this is it. everything I’ve ever done is for Winifred and thats how much i love her, I am so so sorry Lily because none of my feelings for you was real, Joseph said and Lily slapped him as tears streamed down her face.
 
“How dare you! How dare you use me Joseph how dare you! She shouted at him while he looked at her in anger.
“I will let this slide, but for now, get out of my house now! He shouted on her.
“I am not leaving this place until you tell me what gave you the right to use me this way, Lily shouted back.
“I said leave now! Joseph said and dragged her outside and locked the door while she kept hitting the door crying and cursing.
 
Victor’s phone was at home and Patrick who heard everything was so mad. Stella informed him where they are and he drove down there but met Lily walking absentminded on the road.
He stopped the car and held her, “Lily, he called out while she weakly looked at him saying nothing.
“Its okay, let’s go please, he said holding her hand leading her to the car and drove off.
 
He drove her to a quiet place and watched her as she cried silently “I am so sorry, Patrick finally said.
“Sorry for what? This is not your fault, she said and sniffed.
“It is mine, i should have told you this a long time ago, Patrick said.
“What are you saying? You were not here when i met Joseph, she said.
“Joseph was there even before i left, Patrick said and told her everything.
Her throat went dry listening to all he said and she held her head trying to let all of it register, “is Winifred aware of this too? Lily asked and Patrick nodded.
“Good, take me to the party now, Lily furiously said………
 
Joseph called Stella countless times to ask about the guys but she wasn’t picking up, “ when the right time comes, we all will join in the party, Alfred said smiling as Stella was with them already waiting.
