Hunter looked out of the window for some seconds to see Claire and his brother.
She was trying to make her brother get up from the wheelchair he is. Trying to make him walk properly.

“Is this how you love someone that you could do anything to make him/her happy?” He mumbled and sighed.
He once loved someone that means everything apart from his mom.
But he was betrayed.
Well, he is not gonna dig up the past again.

Tracy. Feels so good he hasn’t been dreaming of her for almost a month now.
He got rest. Then, he gets tired of hearing same words in his dream. The way Tracy scre-med.
“I don’t wanna think about this at all. No, not all.” He shook his head, trying to block the image of him and Tracy together.
Those memories they shared together. But death to her away and he was to blame.

**”Hunter!!”
“Why did you do this to me? Why?”
“Come, I’m taking you with me.”** Said Tracy.

He bent down beside the bed and held his head.
“I hate to feel this. Tracy, I didn’t do anything wrong to you. I’m not the one. Argh! I’m actually going crazy.” He growled.

Images of Tracy on top of the car bathed with blood all over her. The way her eyes watered when she looked at him with a small smile.
The way her chest went up and down heavily.
“I’m sorry, Hunter. I love you so much. I mean, we love you so much.” She sniffed as she touched her stomach gently rubbing it slowly.

“Tracy?! You….you’re pregnant? Why didn’t you tell me? Damn! How could you do this? How could you?! No!!! We gotta move you to the hosp……” He cried.
She didn’t tell him that she’s pregnant for him. But it was too late.

“No, sweetheart. I’m sorry. I ca…can’t breathe anymore. Hunter, please don’t blame yourself for this. No matter what.” Tracy looked up at him one last time, they were holding hands but a second later, Tracy’s hand felt cold and dropped from his. She breathed her last breath.

Chapter Forty-Four
“No, sweetheart. I’m sorry. I ca…can’t breathe anymore. Hunter, please don’t blame yourself for this. No matter what.” Tracy looked up at him one last time, they were holding hands but a second later, Tracy’s hand felt cold and dropped from his. She breathed her last breath.

Hunter cried so hærd that it took months for him to recover fully again. Still, he could remember and hear her wiry voice.
He was betrayed cause Tracy did tell him she was pregnant before she died.
That pain of loosing a pregnant woman. He felt it.
He tried hærd to forget that incident but it kept coming back even in his dreams.
He tried to investigate with the help of the police but all to no avail. He was told that she committed suicide by falling herself down from the tall building.

He dropped the case but he’s still going to open up the case again.

Claire and Jason heard some strange sounds and looked directly to Hunter’s window.
They could hear the sound of things breaking into pieces. Something glassy.

“I will be right back, Jason.” Claire ran in,side without having to hear what her brother wanted to say.

“Be careful!” Jason said but Claire was long gone.

Jason sighed a little before moving forward to the edge of the pool. He wasn’t gonna swim. Just stay there and stare at the water.

Whatever is going on up there, his sister is going to settle it. He knows her.
Very soon, he will be completely heal and will have to go back to school again.
He missed his friends so badly. Even though none of them had come to visit him.

Well, it’s not their fault, they’d think he relocated since their house will be empty.
“Oh God, Heal me so I can go back to school.” He prayed when he eventually got to the pool.

Claire knocked on the door so many times but Hunter won’t open the door for her.
He has been scre-ming and throwing things away in his room.

“Please, open the door” Claire pleaded.

“Leave! Get away from the door!” Hunter yelled and threw pillow to the door even if Claire didn’t see him do it.

“You’re going to hurt yourself! Open the door, please.”

“You don’t know anything. It’s all my fault! I didn’t protect her.” Hunter scowled and threw a vase away.

“Don’t blame yourself. No matter what.” Claire told him which made Hunter stop for a second.

Those words were part of Tracy’s last words.
He shouldn’t blame himself no matter what.
“No, I take the blame. I didn’t protect her well and the baby. I didn’t.” He mumbled and walked closer to the door and opened it. He didn’t allow her to say anything. He immediately hugged her.

Chapter Forty-Five
He walked closer to the door and opened it. He didn’t allow her to say anything. He immediately hugged her. He hugged her like he doesn’t want to loose her like Tracy. Like she was gonna leave him.
It took Claire off guard but she adjusted and hugged him back. Her eyes went directly into his room. The room was upside down. So messy.

Hunter led her in,side and locked the door. He took her to his bed and both sat on the floor beside it.
Claire placed his head on her shoulders, patted his head and say soothing words to him before she decided to ask the question.

“What happened?” She asked.

“Tracy is my fiancee. I would say she was pushed and murdered because she can’t just jump from a tall building, committing suicide all of a sudden. I never knew she was pregnant until the day she died. It pained me. I couldn’t protect both of them. I didn’t get to see my unborn child.” Hunter explained everything to Claire and took her hands, squeezing them gently.

“It’s not your fault okay? And you shouldn’t blame yourself for it. And I’m sure she never wanted you to do that. You need to overcome this even if the incident was bad. I never thought I’d lose my parents at a young age.

Both I and Jason watched them die in a fire accident. I blamed myself for not going with them. But who will take care of Jason? Especially when my uncle use me like a wh-re, I won’t let him treat Jason like a dog. I stopped blaming myself cause everything happened for a reason. As far as you aren’t the one who killed her with your bare hands.”

Hunter heaved a sighed and that was when Claire knew that he has been sleeping since she started her talk. But it was good. At least, she calmed him down.

She looked down at his face and saw the cold and tearful face looking soft. He had gone through so many things like her too.

She raised his head up and stood up.
She laid him down to the floor and pulled the duvet away from the bed and covered him.

Claire was about to go do her duty by cleaning up the mess he caused in his room but he drew her back and told her to sleep beside him.

She obeyed and lay beside him while Hunter wrapped his hand to her wa-ist and drew her closer to himself.
He smelled her hair and smiled.
“Thank you, Claire” He mumbled before he finally went to sleep.

“You’re welcome.”
