I began to walk away from the stage and I stopped in my tracks when I saw Ngozi’s father.
I finally realize the seriousness of the issue
He had a dangerous look on his face, although Mr Adams loves all his children, I’ve always known that he loves Ngozi the most or Ada as he always call her.

” Kate, you need to go home now, officers detain anybody thats close to the so called Donald Stevenson ”

I am back in ogun state, the place I stayed before, although this is a different area.
I and Tony are at the venue of the seminar, ready to deliver the gas cylinders

Tony enters the hall and I stay outside to look at the flowers, I so much love flowers.

A female voice called out

My ears pricked up immediately.
I saw a girl that’s around my age walk up to me and I realize that it’s Pelumi, the leader of the gossipers in Princeton college, if you want to know about someone’s history, just go and meet Pelumi.

I try to touch his arm but his chilling gaze made me withdraw my hand immediately.

There was something about that angry face that frightened me, that made me falter on the words

” I thought you were an angel but I was wrong, you’re nothing but a manipulative, deceitful human being ”
His words hurt me more than piercing arrows
” Tony please don’t do this to me, I have no where else to go”
” you say wetin!, if you really like yourself, you’ll disappear like your friend ”
He said with a venomous looks
I walk away from the hall with tears.
So our beautiful ‘forever love ‘ has come into an end

Francis pov
I let Donald’s words sink in and I try to assess the situation.
He has a gun and I’m holding just a knife..
If I try to claim super hero and fight for zee, he’ll just pull the trigger and that’s how I’ll say bye bye to this world
No I must not die like this
Even though my heart was filled with so much fury, even though the thought of what Donald did to zee makes me want to plung the knife deep into his chest but I didn’t.
” you’re wasting time, make your choice or I’ll make it for you ”
He pressed the gun to my head and I tremble in fright, I finally understood how it feels like to stare at death in the face.
” do you know that you’re the most foolish person on earth, wait a sec!, how did you find me, were you following me, you came to rescue her out of love, killing her is the only way to ensure that she’ll love you in return ”
And as Donald mouthed the words, I finally realize that indeed he is not normal, he is a psycho just the way Jerry told me.
I realize that the only thing I can do is to stall for time.
Donald was getting impatient.
” I’ve never loved zee, believe me Donald, I actually want you to kill her, she has hurt me more than you can ever imagine, I only have one request, you should allow me to tell her how much I hate her before killing her ”
Donald looks at me questioningly
I know he was wondering if he could trust me or not

I dip my hands into my pocket and pulled it out just to prove it.

I regretted my actions immediately as Donald dragged Ngozi on the rough bare floor over to me.
She whimpers in pain.
Her face was deathly pale, her l-ips were wobbling.

And as two tiny tears slid down her cheeks
I feel shattered
I would forever have this crushed, broken image of zee stored in my memory forever.
As I try to touch zee’s face, I suddenly hear the sirens of the police.

Donald has a desperate look on his face.
He immediately point the gun at zee
” no one can stop my mission!, Ngozi must die!!, the last angel must die!!!, only then will I die in peace!!! ”
I hear the footsteps of the police men, they were coming, they climbed the steps and surrounds Donald
” young man, drop your weapons, you’re under arrest ”
There was a look of terror in Donald’s eyes a dangerous look that said even though he fears the police, nothing can stop him from killing zee.

It happened like a blur
Donald fired the gun at zee, my eyes were filled with dust as he made for the nearest window space and jumped down.
“Zeeee! ”
I didn’t even think about Donald’s plight
I knelt down beside zee and watch her flutter her eyelids.
I noticed that the bullet didn’t meet her, I try to calm down my wildly beating heart
Jerry and Ahmed rushed in that moment
” Francisco, thank God you’re alive, how about her, please tell me she isn’t dead, please tell me the bastard didn’t kill her ”
Jerry scre-med
” Francis say something!!!! ”
I lifted Ngozi up, my hands become sticky because of the blood.
My white shirt was stained with blood
But it doesn’t matter
All that matters is zee
Ngozi’s pov
I fluttered open my eyes
I look at the unfamiliar surroundings
Where am I?
I saw five faces staring at me
What is dad doing here!
Mom? Cisco? Kate? Bukky?
What am I doing in an hospital.
I feel a throbbing pain between my legs and it all came flooding back.
The painful memories.
The anguish in my heart knows no bounds.
Words can’t express how I feel
I wish I had died.
Tears slide down my cheeks and my mom wipes it off with a sad smile
” I’m sorry mama ”
” it’s okay, it’s okay ”
But tears were rolling down her face, my dad has a sad expression on his face.
” I’m afraid you all have to be very strong, your daughter needs all the emotional encouragement she can get, rape can be a very traumatic experience, some people never get over it for the rest of their life while others try to rise above it, she needs to be treated with love and she must understand that what happened to her isn’t her fault, she was just a victim of circ-mstances ”
The doctor said to Zee’s family.
Francis pov
I wish the police men would just fire a gun at Donald and end his life.
His knees were crushed because of the injury he sustained from jumping down the storey building.
The doctors confirmed that he’ll never be able to walk again but that doesn’t give me the consolation I want.
I want him dead!
But it was concluded that Donald can not be put in prison.
He was said to be schizophrenic, a mental disorder that makes one believe things that are not true.
And he would be in a mental asylum or a psychiatric hospital after his treatment.
I try to explain it to Zee as I sit beside her on the hospital bed.
She has changed a lot, gone was the sparkle and laughter in her face, she was now a shadow of the vibrant girl that she once was.
” Cisco, you told Donald that you hate me, is that true, is it true that everyone in school already knows what happened to me, is it true that everyone now refers to me as a broken record ”
She said with so much anguish in her face.
” I’ve always loved you zee and I’ll keep on loving you, there’s nothing anyone can do to change that, promise me you won’t think about what anyone says ”
” I’m sorry Cisco, I’m not good enough for you, I can never be good enough for you ”
She said the words with so much pain and I know she believed them, Donald has really broken Zee emotionally
