Chapter 16:
~ Selena pov (Ashley mom) ~
“Honey, we’re gonna get late to the airport for God’s sake”
I stayed in the living room in our house shouting at my husband who seems to be spending forever in the room all in the name of being presentable.
“I’m almost done” he said from the room.
“You have been saying that since like forever its making me cracked already, Hon” I said, feeling my impatience burning in me.
“See I’m done already”
He finally showed up looking so… dashing.
“Wait, hope you’re not planning on cheating on me??” I’m really cool with the outfit but… it made him look more like he was going out on a date.
“Yeah, I am”
He joked and laugh at his silly joke that I’m boiling in anger for.
He stopped laughing when he saw that I didn’t find it funny.
“Okay okay, I’m sorry but just so you know I can’t cheat on you die anything in this world”
He said to me then k-ssed me for a long time but why do I feel that this will be the last time I will be k-ssing him???
I don’t know why but I feel like I can’t see my daughter again, hope it is not what I’m thinking.
“Baby are you okay??? You weren’t listening to what I’ve been saying since, or are you still angry because I took long in dressing up?? Then I’m sorry” he apologized.
But honestly, I wasn’t angry at him anymore and,,, not for being too dashing to sed-ce.
I laughed just to clear my thought and because of his cute baby lashes he was looking at me with.
“Stop looking at me with those”
I said still laughing even with my hurting cheeks. I held my cheeks and look at my husband as he drive us to the airport.
It’s really been long I saw my daughter and it’s all like years I’ve stayed without her.
Now that I am going to Chicago, I feel so damn happy and excited too.
“I know that I’m handsome Darling, and I know that I’m all yours so I don’t know the reason you are staring at me like that or do you want us to get involve in an accident??” I know he was only trying to cover how uncomfortable he was feeling under my gaze.
“Of course not”
I quickly stared away and James started laughing, I smiled and looked out of the window.

Mrs Johnson sent a driver to pick Mr and Mrs Agent up in the airport, all the people in the camp stood out of the camp gate to welcome them because Mrs Johnson told them that they were expecting their other Masters.
They waited for a very long time but still no traces them then everybody became worried especially Ashley and Mrs Johnson.
“Have you tried to call them again??” Ashley questioned Mrs Johnson, since she felt too scared to hold her phone.
she had given it to Lina who was trying to call her parents and the driver too.
“I think this is the height of it all, I will go to the airport by myself” Mrs Johnson decided.
Mrs Johnson said to us all.
“Please Mrs Johnson I want to go with you, please I beg of you”
Ashley quickly pleaded, so she will not ask her to stay behind.
“Okay let’s go but clear those bad thought from your mind”
Ashley nodded my head at her but the bad thoughts didn’t leave her mind.
They entered the car and drove to the airport.
They haven’t drove far from the camp when we saw that there was traffic, Ashley can’t calm down anymore after 30 minutes on the same s₱0t.
“Let’s go and check what caused the traffic Ashley” Mrs Johnson said.
It seems she was just as impatient as Ashley was.
They both got out of the car and trekked the remaining distance to where the traffic started.
They were shocked with what they saw, a lot of people gathered around there that it was so difficult for them to see what was happening
They squeezed their way to what the people were staring at, after getting to the middle, they were shocked, it looks like a battle just ended there.
A car was upside down in the middle of the road with blood decorating it, people gathered around the car, some were in tears, some were pity while some were hatred, they can’t guess what happened there and in a minute there they forgot their point of going there.
“Please what happened here??” Mrs Johnson asked someone they met there, this particular somebody was in tears
“The…they..killed them all”
What she said had no meaning to Mrs Johnson and Ashley, so they thought it was because she was crying.
They decided to asked someone that’s not crying, this time it was Ashley that asked
“Hello Mr, please what happened here??”
“They were attacked by some groups of Wolves, it was only the man that had survived the attack and he was rushed to the hospital. ”
” Can I get a clear view of who it is? ” Ashley insisted as she pushed her way to the front scene.
She recognized the car, she knows who it belongs to. It belongs to someone close to her,,, someone dear.
Her parents…
But why..?
She thought the wolves attacks at night, why then during the day.
Besides, how did they know her parents were coming?
Who might have told them?
And why…?
Why is it only her parents were they able to kill out of the wh0le vehicles that passed through the road.
Someone is behind this…
Someone she’s yet to find…

Chapter 17:
~ Ashley pov ~
Mrs Johnson and I rushed to Beacon’s medical unit, the hospital where they took dad to with teary face, at that moment, I didn’t get myself anymore, I just want to see dad and know his state.
When we got to the hospital, we rushed to the nurse behind the counter
“Excuse me nurse, we are looking for a man, his name is Mr Agent” Mrs Johnson questioned the nurse in a hurry
“Oh you mean the man that was attacked by the wolves???” The nurse asked us
“Yes, yes please” I replied her
“Who are you to him?!?”
“He is my father” I replied.
“And he is my friend” Mrs Johnson also said.
“Okay then, he is in ward 2, in the third floor, you’ll see a signboard which shows the way to the VIP room, just go to the VIP area and the second room is Mr Agent’s room” the nurse described
“What of my mom??” I questioned her so softly
“Who is your mother???”
“Mrs Agent”
“I’m sorry but she didn’t made it” she said a hint of pity in her voice.
“What???” Mrs Johnson trembled while I was shivering without cold.
“Do you mean that mom is dead? ” I asked as if I didn’t clearly understood what she had said.
“Yeah, I’m sorry” the nurse said
“I… I…” I kept on stammering rubbish
“Don’t worry nurse, we will go ahead to see Mr Agent” Mrs Johnson said
She pulled me with her as she found our way to dad’s ward
When we got there, a doctor was attending to dad
“Hello doc” Mrs Johnson greeted
The doctor looked at us and smiled
“Hello madam, how can I help you???”
“Oh yeah doctor, we are actually here for the patient Mr Agent” Mrs Johnson told the doctor
“And you came to the right place. Please call me Brian, doctor Brian” he said and offer Mrs Johnson an handshake
“Okay doctor Brian, how’s Mr Agent’s health? ”
“He is good now, he just sustained a little injury which we have treated, he’ll be perfectly fine and ready for discharge immediately he wakes up. ”
The doctor Brian explained while staring at dad. I too had been staring at him, I’m glad he is okay but mom??
What about her?
Why does she have to leave so soon?
“His wife and the other man were really injured so they both don’t made it, I’m sorry about that but we really tried out best. ”
“Oh okay, can I see her while she. ” Mrs Johnson said while pointing at me “we’ll stay with her father” she completed her sentence
“They are her parents??”
“Yes they are”
“I’m Sorry for the lost, Miss” doctor Brian told me, I just nodded my head
” Come with me Mrs” the doctor told Mrs Johnson, he patted my shoulder and left.
“I will be right back” Mrs Johnson said and left too following the doctor
I sat down on the chair beside dad and held his hand. If tears were like ocean, I could have filled the entire hospital with it.
I started weeping till I slept off with my head on dad’s bed.

I woke up with the sound of voices in my head, when I raised up my head, I saw dad and Mrs Johnson discussing with sad faces.
“I wish I saw this coming, I wouldn’t have come here today” dad lamented bitterly.
I understand, and I won’t blame him for this. No one knew something like this will ever happen, no one was expecting such a sad and painful news.
“Dad!” I called in a whisper, he looked at me.
“Ash, you are awake, I’m just about to wake you up” I hugged him tightly to myself.
“I missed you” I whispered yet again, feeling the tears almost about to cloud my eyes.
He laughed softly “I missed you too and your mother… I know she missed you more. ”
I smiled out tears ” I’ll miss her dad, a lot”
“I’ll miss her too but just so you know everything happened for a reason. ”
“I know, but why now? Why does it have to be now, dad? Why? ” I lamented bitterly.
” I don’t know. But one thing I know for sure is that, whoever did this to us, whatever pack he is from, shall pay for the death of your mother, I promise. Now come on, let’s go home I have been discharged, I was just waiting for you to wake up”
We all headed to the camp (Mrs Johnson, dad and I) when we got there, everybody rushed out to meet us with sad faces, I think Mrs Johnson have already told them what happened.
I left all of them in the sitting room and headed to my room to take a nap.
~ Mrs Johnson pov. ~
Immediately Ashley left I faced everyone that are gathered together.
“This is Mr Agent, and he just lost his wife. He is your master just as I am. All of you are free for the wh0le of today, no training, we are to mourn the dead. ” I told them all.
“Come with me Mr Agent”
I took Agent to my office, I can’t wait to know what happened.
“Sit down Mr Agent” She ushered him and he sat down quietly without saying anything, the Agent I know is a talkative.
“How did it happen Agent? ” I asked, curiously.
He exhaled” I don’t know, but it just happened so fast. We were in our car heading to the camp and the next thing we know, some groups of Wolves came running towards us. ”
” How is that possible that it had to be only you and your wife they were coming for? ”
” That, is what I can’t tell. But all I can say is, I think someone is keeping an eye on us, someone human or worst still… a wolf. ” After a thoughtful while he asked, ” Did you studied your candidates before they entered into the camp? ”
” Yes, I did. Why? ” I asked, feeling a bit confused.
” I’m just not sure if everyone here is a saint. There’s got to be a Judas within this camp, someone who seems to know everything going on. And when I say everything, I meant every single thing. ”
