🌀 Ethan’s POV 🌀
My heart started beating so fast I thought it was gonna explode
“Oh sorry guys, didn’t know you were making out but do not go into that room” I the guard said and Jade stopped the k-ss
“No problem” Jade said and the guard walked away
I looked Jade and she immediately looked away
Did she just k-ss me?
🌀 Jade’s POV 🌀
I couldn’t look at Ethan properly
What am I going to tell him
My heart continued to beat fast, what is going on?
I’ve k-ssed Cole lots of time but I’ve never felt like it
“I…. I am sorry” I stuttered “I was panicking and I didn’t know what to do and the only idea that came up to me was to k-ss you and make it look like we are making out” I said and he nodded still staring at me
Why is he looking at me like that
“Hey guys” I turned to see Addy and James
“We heard from one of those clubbers that Mason just came in, did you guys see him?” Addy asked
“Yeah, he’s in this room” I said pointing at the door
“What are you guys waiting for then, let’s go in” James said
Addy slowly opened the door and we quietly walked in
The place was like a sitting room
There were many cushions and music was booming so they didn’t hear us come in
There were 3 guys in the room and luckily they were sitting on the long couch that backed us
We squated so that we won’t be sighted and we moved slowly to the back of the chair they sat down
Geez, I feel like some kind of Secret Agent right now
“You’ll be delivering this to this to our guy in Philadelphia but Martin, you’ll be going to San Francisco” the man in the center said
He must be Mason
I looked at Ethan and he nodded, seems like we are thinking the same thing
“Video record” Addy mouthed
Ethan brought out his phone and move quietly to the side of the couch and held his phone out so that the camera could face them
Wow, am surprised, Ethan has gotten bolder
“What about Josh, won’t he be delivering this time?” One of the guys asked
“No, that fool got caught in the airport” Mason replied
“How could he get caught, he should have been really careful when he’s carrying a bag of heroin” another guy said
“The thing is Josh didn’t know he was delivering heroin, that guy behaves like a saint sometimes, if he knew we were into drugs, he would never have joined us so I deceived him into thinking that he was carrying normal products” Mason said and one of the guys laughed
“He caused his own downfall, he shouldn’t have tried being a saint” he said
I smiled while James quietly bumped a fist in the air
We got everything on camera and it’s a solid evidence
But then, Ethan’s phone started ringing
“Whose phone is that” Mason asked pointing at Ethan’s phone and my breathing increased
We are about to get caught
🌀 Ethan’s POV 🌀
Oh Lord!!
I kept still and didn’t know what to do
“What should we do?” Addy whispered
“Who is there?” Mason said and all the guys stood up
I quickly took my phone and put it in my pocket
Then I turned and looked at James
“Run!” He yelled and we all stood up and ran out of the room
“Get them!” Mason shouted as he ran after us the two other guys
We ran out of the club and the guards outside the club joined Mason in chasing after us
We continued running fast and gap between us and the Mason’s guards was getting w¡der
We came across a crossroad and we ran to our right and hid behind a trashcan
Mason and his guards ran past where we are without even looking at the trashcan
We waited for some minutes before standing up.
We looked at ourselves and we bursted into laughter
That was dangerous but it was real fun
“I almost tripped when we were running” Addisson said amidst laughter
“And I thought that I was really good at running but James you are fast runner” Jade said
“Told ya” James said looking at me
“Wait where’s your phone?” Addisson asked and they all turned to look at me wide-eyed
“Don’t tell me you forgot it there” James said
“You took it right” Jade said hopefully
“Taadaa!!” I said as I brought the phone from my pocket and they all sighed and laughed
“Thank God, I almost got a heart attack” Jade said
“Me too” Addisson said
We boarded a cab and went back home
We met Sophie in the sitting room
“Where did you guys go, I was so worried I had to borrow the neighbor’s phone to call you” Sophie said
Ohh, so she was the one that called
“Guess what Sophie” I said.
“What?”
“We’ve got evidence that can set Josh free” I said and she scre-med
“Show me show me” she squealed
I brought out my phone, played the video and we all watched
“Yes!!” James said “it showed their faces clearly”
We finished watching the video and minutes later they all left promising to come back tomorrow since it was weekend
I stayed in the sitting room with Sophie and we watched a movie in my phone
The door opened and Dad came in
Sophie and I greeted him
“Dad” I called as he walked towards his room
He turned and looked at me
“Josh is innocent Dad and we’ve got an evidence to prove it” I said and Dad looked surprised
I showed him the video
“I couldn’t trust my own son” he said in a broken voice
“We all doubted him Dad, we should pay him a visit tomorrow” I said and he agreed
He went to his room and I went back to meet Sophie
We finished the movie and then we went to bed

I stood in the sitting room with Sophie
We were waiting for Dad
It’s morning and we are about to go visit Josh
“Are your friends not coming?” Sophie asked
“They will be coming directly to the station” I replied
Dad came out of the room all dressed up and soon Sophie came out too
We took the bus and soon we were at the police station
James, Addisson and Jade we’re already there along with Attorney Brooks
We walked up to them and they all looked happy
The attorney requested to see the video and I showed him
“Wow, I don’t know how you guys managed to do this but it’s amazing, with this video it is assured that we are gonna win the case” the attorney said with a smile
We met with Josh and he was really happy that found something that could prove his innocence
Dad apologised for not trusting him and they both hugged
The case will be addressed in the court in the next two days
After that, Josh will be free to come back home
I looked at my friends as they laughed and joked with Josh
How did I manage to make such awesome friends
My eyes stopped at Jade and memories of the k-ss flooded back into my head
I’ll never forget that moment
🌀 Jade’s POV 🌀
We left the station
Addy and James was going to Ethan’s house but I’ll have to be going home
Mom sternly told me to be back home early, I don’t know why
I entered my car and drove home
I parked the car in the parking lot and went in,side the house
Immediately I walked in,side the house, the person I saw made me scre-m
“Dad!!!” I scre-med as I ran to hug him

🌀 Jade’s POV 🌀
“Dad!” I scre-med as I ran to hug him
“My pumpkin, I’ve missed you” Dad said he wrapped his arms around me
“I’ve missed you too Daddy” I said
“Enough of the father and mother moment, Jade go and freshen us then join us in the dining room” Mom said and I slowly disengaged from the hug
I walked to my room, showered and changed into another cloth
I looked into the mirror and smiled at myself
Could today get any better; we got an evidence to prove Josh’s innocence and now my Dad is back too
I walked down the stairs and joined Mom and Dad in the dining
“How was the business trip Dad?” I asked as we ate
“It was great though I really missed my pumpkin” he said and I smiled
“So I was not missed” Mom said
“Of course I missed my darling” dad said and k-ssed Mom
“Ewww” I said
“Don’t make that face like you’ve never k-ssed before” Mom said and I remembered that moment I had k-ssed Ethan
“You’ve k-ssed?” Dad asked
“Come on dear, she’s 18, I’ll be more surprised if she hasn’t” Mom said
Okay, this awkward, why do they have to be talking about me right in front of me
“So you have a boyfriend?” Dad asked looking at me
“I… I… I don’t” I said and Mom laughed
“Like seriously?” Mom asked
“Yes Mom, I don’t have any boyfriend for now” I said and she shrugged
There was some moments of silence before Dad talked again
“How is school Jade, did anyone get on your nerves while I was gone?” Dad asked
“Lots of things happened Dad, many people got on my nerves” I replied
“Do you want any of them to be expelled?” He asked
“No Dad, I have no right to expell them, I don’t wanna ruin anybody’s life”
“What?!” He asked surprised
Well am surprised at myself too but I really don’t want to expell anyone, even though I promised Addy she’ll be expelled the moment my Dad comes
“Yes Dad, I don’t bully people anymore”
I drank the remaining water in my glass, stood up and left for my room leaving Dad in shock
🌀 Ethan’s POV 🌀
We all went to the house except Dad
He went straight to work on leaving the station
“Am hungry Ethan, cook for us” James said as we sat down on the chair
“You know how to cook?” Addisson asked
“Of course he does, he is a great cook, his foods are heavenly” James said
“Don’t mind him Addisson, he is just exaggerating” I said
“He isn’t Addy, Ethan’s food are the best” Sophie said and I shot her a stare
Addisson smiled and looked at me “it seems you are really a great cook Ethan, why don’t we cook together now, I’ll definitely learn a few things from you”
“Let’s make shrimp Jollof” Sophie said and I smiled
Hearing the word ‘shrimp’ makes me remember those times Jade used to call me a Shrimp
“We don’t have any shrimp in the house Sophie” I said
“What about coconut fried rice” James said
“Great idea James, we have coconut in the fridge” Sophie said
“I guess it’s decided then” Addisson said standing up “let’s go to the kitchen”
“What will you guys be doing while we cook?” I asked
“We’ll just stay here” Sophie said
“Yeah, we don’t want the kitchen to be crowded” James said and Sophie nodded in agreement
I shook my head as I looked at them, what a naughty set of people
I went to kitchen with Addisson and we began cooking
We talked about different stuffs and sometimes, we laughed too
“Will we be frying the egg?” Addisson asked and I laughed
“You don’t put eggs in coconut fried rice” I said with a smile
“Ohh” she said as she nodded “where did you learn how to cook?”
“From Mom” I said trying to keep my voice from wavering
I always break down whenever I mention Mom
“She’s a great cook” she said and I nodded
“I should probably return the egg” she said
She walked towards towards the fridge to keep the egg but it slipped out of her hand and broke on the floor
“Oops, sorry Ethan” she said looking at me apologetically
“It’s okay” I said
“I’ll just clean it up” she said and walked over the broken eggs but she slipped on stepping on some part of it
I quickly caught her by the wa-ist so that she won’t fall and I ended up staring into her eyes as she stared into mine
It was then I noticed the color of her eyes, it’s hazel and it’s so beautiful
I suddenly heard a cough and I quickly let her go
I turned to see James at the door “I think your food is burning” he said and Addisson quickly went to check on it
James came closer and whispered into my ear “we’ve got to talk later man” he said and walked out of the kitchen
“Not too much water” I said as I saw Addisson adding water to the food
“Ohh, okay” she said
She turned to face me “am sorry about that” she said
“It’s fine” I replied

The food was already done and we were in dining eating
“The food is great Ethan but it’s taste a little burnt” Sophie said
“Yeah what were you doing while the food was burning Ethan?” James asked and I shot him a glare
We finished eating and Sophie and Addisson went to do the dishes while James and I went to my room
“What’s up with you man?” He asked as we sat on the bed
“Nothing” I replied
“Sometimes you behave as if you are in love with Jade and sometime you behave as if you love Addy” he said
“I don’t know James, am confused myself”
“Just go for anyone of them” he said
“I don’t know which one to go for” I replied
“Okay, tell me why can’t just choose one” he said
“Well, Addisson was my first friend but Jade was the first person that stood up for me…”
“I am your first friend” James said interrupting me
“You weren’t and just let me continue with what am saying” I said and he nodded
“Addisson was my first hug but Jade was my first k-ss…”
“What!!!, You and Jade k-ssed and you didn’t tell me, that’s so not cool bro” James said interrupting me again
“I’ll tell you the details later, so can I continue now” I said and he nodded
“Good. Addison was the first lady I found beautiful but Jade was the first lady my heart skipped a beat for. Whenever am with Addisson, I feel so cool and comfortable it’s as if my heart is slowly melting but when am with Jade my heart beats become real fast and my heart races” I said
“So Addisson is like the water and Jade is like the fire” James said and I smiled
“I guess you can say so”
“You are a confused human being bro” James said and I agreed
I am confused, is it really possible for me to love both of them at the same time or is my heart playing games with me??
