Chapter 104 :- A day to remember (contd)

🌹 Writer’s POV 🌹

With Christen now free from the bondage of her home, she decides to spend the day off with Riley by taking a tour around the country. The first place the couple visited was the Federal capital Territory Abuja to meet with Bimpe and her son Akinbilege.
Christen who felt she had gotten off to a bad start with her nephew/stepson decided to make things right but that didn’t mean she was willing to fully accept him. After arriving in Abuja, Riley and Christen went over to to Bimpe’s home where they were warmly received especially by Akinbilege who was happy to see them both. Bimpe was surprised to see Christen in her home and feared that she might be here to harm her son but things didn’t turn out as she feared they would.

Bimpe ➡ What a pleasant surprise! I wasn’t expecting you guys to come.

Riley ➡ Well, It was Christen’s idea. She wanted to patch things up with Akinbilege before we vamoosed to other places.

Akinbilege ➡ I’m sorry, we met in an unfriendly circumstances Aunty. I was hoping to meet you for a very long time.

Christen ➡ Believe me Akin, I’m the one to apologize but I must say I was quite surprised with this whole thing.

Riley ➡ Well, we’ll give you two the room to discuss. Bimpe and I will be waiting outside.

After giving Christen and Akinbilege the room, Riley and Bimpe decided to take a stroll around her house and as soon as the they were out of earshot, Bimpe began to voice out her worries and needs to Riley.

Bimpe ➡ What were you thinking leaving our son with Christen?

Riley ➡ Don’t be ridiculous. Christen may have gone through some dark changes but she’s not evil.

Bimpe ➡ Well, you can’t be certain.

Riley ➡ Yes I am. I know Christen and besides, this is your fault.

Bimpe ➡ My fault?

Riley ➡ Yes, your fault. You shouldn’t have kept this a secret for long. It’s going to take a while before Christen accepts Akin.

Riley ➡ You’re crazy Bimpe. What you’re asking for is too much. I like you but…(sighs).. I don’t want to hurt Christen’s feelings. I love her.

Bimpe ➡ Promise me, you’ll think over it.

Akinbilege ➡ Aunty, I know you don’t like my mom very much but I would like you to please let her see Dad every once in a while.

Christen ➡ Boy listen. You’re a nice kid and you’re clearly not like your mother but Riley is mine and mine alone. He’s my husband and I will not share him with anyone.

Akinbilege ➡ I’m not saying you should let him marry her. All I want is for mom to be seeing him every once in a while. I hate seeing her all alone pining for him at night.

Christen ➡ I don’t care. Your mother must learn to know that she can’t always have everything she wants. Like I said, Riley is mine.

Akinbilege ➡ I’ll be honest with you Aunty. Dad loves you. I know that for a fact because I see the way he acts around you. When you went dark, he never gave up on you even though he had every right to. My mom can never get that kind of love you share with dad neither can she replace you. I know this is too much for you but please think about it.

Christen ➡ That’s a lot to think about but don’t expect to hear anything pleasant. It’s going to be hard for me grant this wish for your mom considering the fact that she hid you all these years.

Akinbilege ➡ Well, there’s something that you should know before you find out sooner or later. Mom’s pregnant again.

Christen ➡ What?

Akinbilege ➡ I don’t know the details but it’s the truth.

Christen ➡ Oh well, that’s unexpected.

Akinbilege ➡ You’re not mad are you?

Christen ➡ You have no idea but it’s okay. I’ll think over your proposal.

Akinbilege ➡ Thank you.

Christen ➡ Don’t thank me yet. Just warn your mother to watch her step cause I might not be nice next time.

🌹 AKINBILEGE 🌹

Every actions has it’s own consequences and one of the consequences is the fact that I grew up with knowing my father’s love. No parent is perfect cause no matter how good they are, there’s always something that they’ll always fail to do. My mother has always tend to my needs and given me her love and support but I must say that she’s not exactly what I call a good parent.
Having a witch as mom comes with a lot of red flags and one of them is suffering because of her past mistakes. I may not know what Mom’s youth was like but judging by her character, I could tell she was an irresponsible one. It pains me often to know that my birth was a mistake, not consented one and as much as it pains me to embrace that fact, I can’t turn on my mom because if it wasn’t for her, I wouldn’t be here.
Aunt Titi always said that witches/wizard live based on their desires and there’s nothing that Mom desires more than to win over my father. For some annoying reason, she loves chasing after what people have so as to make it hers. She has been successful so far except for my dad which she failed to have. Despite being the witch of lust and seduction, her magic wasn’t strong enough to pry dad away from her own cousin Aunt Christen.
Aunt Christen may seem cold and cruel but she’s actually a nice witch and I don’t blame her for the way she feels about Mom. I would have felt the same way if I was in her shoes.

Presently, here I was with Adanna on the balcony of her home cuddling each other as we sat and stared at the falling sun. Hours had passed since my dad and Aunt Christen took their leave and I’ve been in deep thought ever since wondering if my offer would come through. Adanna who noticed her worried I was asked if anything was wrong and I told her. She listened with rapt attention to everything I said and as soon as I was done, she voiced out her own opinion.

Adanna ➡ Honestly, this is ridiculous. I mean no offense but your mom is stepping out of line. She can’t be serious about sharing her cousin’s husband.

Akinbilege ➡ Well, that ship has already sailed more than once.

Adanna ➡ I can’t believe this. So you mean..

Akinbilege ➡ Yes. Multiple times in fact.

Adanna ➡ I really don’t agree with everything your mom said but she’s right about one thing. Your dad has to take responsibility for you. He owes you that.

Akinbilege ➡ Not just me. My mom’s pregnant.

Adanna ➡ Does your dad know?

Akinbilege ➡ Probably.

Adanna ➡ Well, that’s a good thing. At least she won’t be alone when I finally snatch you away from her (giggles)

Adanna ➡ Speaking of pregnancy, when are we going to start our baby making plans?

Akinbilege ➡ Is your father that much in a hurry to have a grand child?

Akinbilege ➡ Relax, I didn’t mean to put it that way. It’s just that, you know the crisis that has been going on.

Adanna ➡ So? It has nothing to do with us.

Akinbilege ➡ I wouldn’t be so sure. Lately, I’ve been getting sinister vibes wherever I go. Something’s bad is about to happen. I can feel it.

Adanna ➡ Is it about that witch Evlyn? She’s gone right? You said she was defeated.
.

Akinbilege ➡ I’m not so sure now.

Adanna ➡ Akin, just focus on us, biko. I don’t want us to be having issues when we’re close to finally become one. We’ve been together for years and you know what you and I went through.

Akinbilege ➡ I know but…

I said nothing after that. I didn’t want Adanna to worry anymore so I kept quiet about the whole thing. In that moment, I began to wonder if maybe I was overreacting but it turns out that my hunch was right. Just as I was Adanna and I were about to enter inside her house, a powerful flash of lightning struck out of the sky like an explosion and shortly after that, loud screams of fear and panic filled the streets.

Adanna ➡ What was that?

Akinbilege ➡ This isn’t good. Stay in the house, I’ll be back.

Before I could finish my statement, a powerful gush of wind blew into the neighborhood sweeping everything in its paths and I mean everything including cars, people, animals and some houses. I too was swept with the wind but I managed to teleport myself inside a nearby store.
There were people inside the store the moment I appeared, they screamed and took to their heels fearing I was some kind of spirit. I wanted to calm them down but I realized it would be futile. After I got back to my feet, I teleported outside and saw that the damage that the wind had done, there were a lot of dead people on the street including kids. I was devastated by what I saw but this was nothing compared to what came next.
In that moment, after the sun had finally disappeared into the sky, a strange darkness clouded the skies of Abuja. I felt some thing sinister and unnatural about this darkness cause I could my black magic acting crazy. Just as I suspected, demonic beings began to descend from the skies in thousands like arrows all over Abuja. The demons wasted no time in causing havoc around them, they caused car accidents, building collapse and even drove people out of their minds by possessing them. The people who had no idea that they were being invaded by demons ran for their lives thinking it was some kind of natural disaster.
In that moment, I unleashed my divine magic spells and fired it into the sky like a firework, the bright light made the demons flee as it burned them. Just as I was about to unleash another spell, a wild demon appeared out of nowhere and slammed me hard with all his might. The impact shot me into the sky and out of Abuja like a catapult. Luckily for me, I was able to block the demon’s attack with my black magic cause if I had taken that hit head on, I would have died for sure.
After crashing in the outskirts of Abuja, the demon that punch me appeared and was surprised that I was still alive.

Demon ➡ You should have died. Traitors like you is what the dark witch hates.

Akinbilege ➡ Did Evlyn send you?
.

Demon ➡ Evlyn!? (Laughs) she’s gone and this is payback. You chose the wrong side wizard.
.

Akinbilege ➡ Maybe but I’m sending you back to hell, demon.
.

Feeling irritated by what I said, the demon charged towards me with the urge to kill, I too charged towards him powering up one of my divine magic spells on the tip of my finger tips. As soon as we made contact, the demon tried to decapitate me but I quickly teleported underneath him and then aimed my magic charged fingers on his chest and unleashed the spell.

My goodness, what a way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

Honestly, this wasn’t how I was expecting to spend my Saturday afternoon but either way it’s not that bad. Chris and I spent all afternoon fucking in his bedroom like rabbits in heat. It was surprising to see the way he devoured me despite his hunger. I’ve lost count of how many times he made me orgasm, I nearly lost consciousness twice in the process. Chris ➡ Speaking of Ebinoluwa, what do you thinking she’s doing right now?

Immediately Chris mentioned Evlyn’s name, I began to have flashbacks of the nightmare I had hours ago. I felt so frightened that I lost my balance and nearly fell to the ground had it not for Chris grabbing hold of me.

Before I could finish my statement, thousands of bats filled the sky flying fast as if they were being chased by something and shortly after that, the sky suddenly became dark and breezy. At first, I thought it was going to rain but then something strange happened that left Chris and I shocked and terrified.
Out of the dark sky, a commercial plane blazed with fire descended fast heading towards us. In that moment, Chris and I took off running as fast as we could to avoid the incoming plane, other people who saw the plane ran for their lives but we all weren’t fast enough. With a matter of minutes, the plane crashed and exploded with a loud bang, the explosion was so big and it swept through us like a tidal wave. For a moment, I thought Chris and I were dead but I realized we was still alive and that was thanks to Solomon. As soon as Chris and I got back to our feet, we realized that we were the only ones alive, the people that were there with us were burnt to crisp but this was nothing compared to what was about to come next.

Morenike ➡ Jesus Christ!!

Chris ➡ Morenike! Morenike! Listen to me. We have to get out of here now. These people are dead, there’s nothing with can do for them now.

Chris was mute despite me calling out his name, he stood frozen with his eyes dazed as if he was in some kind of hypnosis. In that moment, I looked at the direction of his gaze and saw what he was seeing and believe me, I was lost with words.
Just a few meters from where Chris and I stood the most beautiful female specimen I’ve ever since. She was perfect in every way but there was something dark about her. Her beauty was devilishly terrifying and the look on her face was that of death. I tried shaking Chris back to reality but he remained the same and even worse he started to bleed from his nose and ears.
