For two days, I was in,side the chief’s house , they kept me in alone in a dark room, I hadn’t seen daylight at all, all I did was cry at the deaths of both Bobbie and Angie after I heard the Chief order one of his men to take them back to the house and burn their bodies, I was filled with rage and anger!

Hours before the second day was about to be over, The chief ordered his men to bring in me nice cooked meal and a clean water, I was surprised cause I wonder why this was happening.

The chief left laughing, I was alone in the room again, it was stinking and unkept, I was tied and there was nothing in here to cut myself free, I tried loosening myself but it was no use and not to mention my hands were tattered and hurting.
I had to get out of here, I can’t die like this, not after being humiliated like this and besides I can’t allow my unborn child suffer this horrible fate with me, I’ll be damned if I’m going to let those old pigs use me like a slut.
I tried not to eat the food but I was on a force hunger strike for two days now and I have no energy left, I had no choice to eat the food, I gobbled the food in a hurry and gulped down the water, after that I silently prayed to God to deliver me from the hell after that I slept.
The next day came and it was probably going to be my last day, I sat and watched as the chief’s goons came and checked on me as if I was doing something suspicious.
I thought of a plan to escape this place but the problem there was no way out I could be free, the only thing in the room with me was a Crowbar and a bunch of other stuff, I tried to loosening myself but the more I did the more I got hurt.
I say for hours trying to think of a way out but none came, just when I had given up hope, I remembered my Karate training back in Japan, my sensei (master) had taught us several ways to break free out of a bound but the one I could try was dislocating my fifth thumb from its sockets, I felt my hands and touched my small finger, I tried to dislocate it but the fear of injuring myself stopped me, I didn’t have the guts to do that, I sat for hours deciding whether to do it or not, but little did I realize the sun had already gone down and my time to die was getting closer.
I decided to find another mean to break free but I couldn’t my only option was to dislocate my thumb, Just then the words of the chief rang in my mind, and that was the motivation I needed to do this, I quietly grabbed my thumb and took a deep breath and closed my eyes and then……. “CRACK”
I had successfully dislocated my thumb, but due to the tremendous pain, I shouted as hærd as I could, I even hærd to cry, just then I slowly pulled my hands from the ropes, I swore I was going to murder the Chief and his friends for putting me through so much pain.
Suddenly the door opened and put my hands behind my back waiting to see what would happen, I twisted my neck and waited for the person that was going to come in.
Fortunately for me it was the thug that I had brutalised, he came down with his other friend, and from the excited look on their eyes, they were planning to do something to me.

After I was done with the chief, I went into his room and searched for my phone, after minutes of searching, I found it, I went down the stairs and left the building, I climbed behind the building and escaped, Soon I heard police sirens and struggle between them and the chiefs goons, after all this time the police finally came.
I boarded a taxi and asked him to take me to the hospital, the car took off driving into the night.

Five years had passed and there was no trace of Veronica, or where she was, after we arrived at the chiefs house, the police went in and saw a bloody massacre, The first one who was identified as a renowned Sheik was seen on the floor with his guts all over the place, and the Professor was found in the toilet in his own pool of blood, his eyes were damaged, and as for the chief, he was found in an underground room, he was tied to a chair, his genitals were severed and his eyes were gouged out, and a knife was sank into his chest, I had to vomit seeing that.

Life wasn’t the same without Veronica, even though five years had passed I still hoped she was come one day.
One afternoon I was in my office when Bobbie came in, he told me he had discovered where Veronica was, Japan! He has discovered her through her phone’s GPS which was switched off through this years but somehow it was turned on. I later told terry about Veronica and he wanted to go with us.
Bobbie later booked a flight for us and we flew to Japan to see Veronica, Chris had no objection to me going to Japan, he even supported me to find her and bring her back.

Five years is a really long time, after my escape I had took my stuff from the house and shared my money with Cherry and Terry, I even transferred the chief’s money to my account after he had told me his BVN and account number, after that I traveled to Japan and became a citizen of Japan.
I later gave birth to a baby girl in Japan, she was so lovely and had her fathers looks, I wanted to stay in Nigeria but after what I did to those men and what happened to Angie and Bobbie I decided to bury the past and move on.
With my money, I opened up a foundation which helps broken girls to have a better future and I also helped in dealing with men who use or s€×ually abuse girls.
The foundation became a huge success and it branched almost all around the world, and while I wasn’t doing that, I was looking after my daughter, Tenshi (angel) I had named her after Angie, so I gave her a Japanese name of Angel. She would always ask me who or where her father was? The only reply I could give her was he started wasn’t around. I felt guilty not allowing her to see her father, my Uncle ambrose would always tell me to let the girl see her father but insisted it was not yet time but the truth was I was afraid of going back to Nigeria.
One Saturday evening, Tenshi and I were at home watching her favorite anime series, when I heard a knock on the door, I went and opened the door, I stood motionless as I saw who it was, Cherry and Bobbie, I couldn’t believe they were here, I didn’t know when tears fell from my eyes we all hugged for a while telling each other words of joy.
I welcomed them in and talked about what happened during these five years of our life, Cherry had become a little bit chubby and I was surprised when she told me she got married to Chris and has two kids already.
