Enita’s pov

The bride was called out, dressed in silver wrapper and beads wore on her body. Both her hair too.

Ahh! Am getting jealous. Let me go and quickly marry.

The wedding started, the groom paying the bride price, the two families praying for the couple.

Drinks and foods were served to the guests. I ate and ate till I was full. I can’t wait for my own.

It gonna be a blast.

The wedding ended and the couples were esc-rted to their house. I held Mimi’s hand, esc-rting her home.

“You should be getting ready for our wedding” I smirked.

“Huh? Don’t tell you’re in a hurry to marry me” She turned to me with a frown.

“Is there a problem with that? I can’t just wait for you to be mine forever.” I wriggled my fingers, squirmingly.

“You got to be kidding me. You’re unbelievable. Let just go” She stated, smiling.

We got her house, I bid her goodbye and was about to leave when her father came out.

Oh. My in-law, in-law.😂

“Good evening sir.” I greeted, grinning.

“Hmm, it a good thing you brought my daughter home safely.” He ignored my greeting.

“Yeah, but it like you’re still angry with me” I pouted.

“Am not angry at you. But just know that, if you break my daughter’s heart, I won’t hesitate to hit you with a pestle.” He threatened.

I laughed, touching my chest.

“No I won’t and I will never break your daughter’s heart. Her heart is unbreakable even if you use hammer” I winked at Mimi.

“Seriously? Ahh! Okay. I trust you. Mimi, go in,side now. Thanks for bringing my daughter home” Chief Odafe said and I bowed in respect before leaving.

I was walking along the narrow path leading to my house. I heard my name and stopped. I turned to see the three witches.

Fejiro, isioma and onome. Gosh!

“What’s it again? I thought you girls have stopped troubling people around” I growled in annoyance.

“Ahh! Calm down now. You don’t have to react that way. We just came to tell you that, we will be waiting for your own wedding.” Fejiro said and the rest nodded.

“Thats what you wanted yo tell me, okay ooo, I will invite you to my wedding once you can afford money to travel from here to London.” I replied, folding my hands.

Actually, I was just kidding. Am really going to do my wedding with Mimi here in Warri.

“What?! Haba now! Thats too much. So we will miss the Almighty Enita’s wedding” Onome sniffed.

“Well, that means you won’t be coming to my wedding. I don’t want you to scatter my wedding for me”

“Are we that bad? We are just trying to be friends oo.” Isioma answered.

“Nope, you girls aren’t bad. You know what? Well, what I said was a lie. Am planning to do my wedding here” I finally said the truth.

“Ehh?” They said in unison.

“Yes, am doing it here”

“Jesus! You know have always admire you even when we do fight every time. Don’t worry, we are behind you. We will break any body’s head that tries to scatter the wedding for you.” Fejiro stated, her shoulder high and beating her chest.

I chuckled and we ended up laughing.

“Just don’t kill anyone on that day.” I warned.

“We aren’t killers. We are just the- don’t-dare-us girls” Isioma replied.

“Okay, I need to go now. We will see later” I bid them bye and went my way.

I saw my mom and dad k-ssing and cuddling themselves. Really?

“Dad, you people should get a room oo. Am too young to see you people k-ssing. Am still a small baby” I laughed.

“Oh shut it. Small baby indeed. You think I didn’t see you when you and Mimi were k-ssing today at the backyard when your uncle’s traditional wedding is going on.” My father said.

Time for the white wedding came and I was super, super happy. I wore my ironed navy blue suit and black shoes.

The wedding was to be held in a catholic church before the reception.

I was shocked to see Sir McDonalds and doctor Nelson here in Warri.

Like, who brought them here? The sight of doctor Nelson is doing me somehow.🤣

My handsome uncle stood at the alter waiting for his bride aunt Stella.

My eyes searched around and it landed on Mimi. She was dressed in a purple gown with pink heels.

She’s really beautiful.

She saw me ogling her and smiled back at me. She threw a k-ss in the air and I grabbed it with my hand like I saw the k-ss and placed it on my l-ips.

She giggled from where she is turned, facing the alter.

The three witches were just coming in, they joined some guys at the back who were staring at their craziness.

Another woman came in and I didn’t know when I started laughing.

How can some one wear purple shirt and tied a yellow wrapper beneath then put on black sneakers and a blue head gear.

Ahh! Mother of multiple colors.

The bride finally came in with her father right beside her. She got to the alter and I could see her smiling to my uncle through the veil.

Someone cane up to me and whispered into my ear.

“The rings Enita, it almost time for the couple to say their vows. Where’s the ring?” He asked and I dip my hand into my pocket.

Wait! Am coming. Why’s the ring not coming out?

I went for the second pocket but couldn’t find it.

Ahh! Have lost the rings.

Am in trouble! I touched my br-ast pocket, still I couldn’t find it.

I stood up and ran out searching everywhere. Have lost the rings. Am dead today!

“Enita, are you okay?” I heard Mimi’s voice and I turned.

“Actually,……..” I itched my neck amd continued. ” I lost…..the rings” I finally said.

She gasped.

“What?! Enita you did what? Argh! Omg! Can’t you be mature for once? Now you’ve lost the rings.”

“Enita, there’s no time. I need to give the rings to the priest now.” The man said.

I left them and keep searching, I searched the around the car park. Especially, the one I entered.

I was so sure I kept it in,side my pocket. I searched the car, everywhere, both the steering wheel too. 😂

Crazy.

Where the f*ck did the rings go?

My heart was beating fast, I can’t find the rings. Omg!

Enemies why must you suffer me always?

I really need deliverance. Serious one.

I prayed silently for me to see the rings, I came out of the car since I couldn’t find it.

The man and Mimi had come to meet me there again. Watching me as I pace myself up and down.

“I can’t find the rings Mimi, you guys can continue the wedding without the rings” I shrugged.

Am so silly. Yeah, I agree.

I checked under the car but still…..I couldn’t find anything.

I stood up, and stared at the two of them.

The man’s phone began ringing in his pocket, he took it out and pressed the answer button.

“Yes? The rings? Oh! Am coming, just give me three minutes” The man answered and the line went dead.

“Young man, it time you bring the rings out now. You just have two minutes left.”

“Enita, you need to search well. Check under the cars, you might have kick them under mistakenly when it fell.” Mimi’s voice was calm.

I nodded and knelt down to check under the cars parked in here. Mimi too was searching while the man was standing like a statue.

I heard Mimi cleared her throat and I looked up to see her holding a box in her hand.

Whaaat? Tha..that’s the box containing the rings. I quickly dusted the shirt off my trouser and stood straight.

I collected the box and immediately, I opened it and found my self smiling.

Awwn. Come and see the rings.

I closed the box amd handed it over to the man. He grabbed it and ran into the church back.

I sighed, facing Mimi with am-sorry look. She rolled her eyes and wanted to leave but I grabbed her hand.

“Am sorry Mimi, I promise not to do anything silly again. If you keep doing that to me, my heart will bleed” I stated.

“So? You love doing crazy things Enita, only God knows how our wedding is going be. I hope you won’t pour the cake away or even kick me away with your leg while dancing.” She replied and I found myself laughing hærd.

“Wow! Wow! Seriously? Trust me am not gonna do anything silly on our wedding day. I swear.” I assured.

“Fine! Let’s go back.”

“Won’t you give me a k-ss?” I asked.

“k-ss? Am not! Not after what you did today. When you’re ready, you follow me in,side.” She jerked her hand off and walk into the church.

Well, at least, I found the rings. Now I can rest.

I must pray before I do my own wedding. Every enemies that want to scatter my wedding should start confessing now.

I’d walk into the church back and sat down like a gentle man. The couples did their vows and put the rings into each other’s finger.

I looked away when it comes to their k-ssing stuff. Am still a small child.

The church wedding was done and it was time for the reception which was going to take place in a large field.

I entered the car and the driver drove us out if the church to the reception. Truly, the field was large and big tents was everywhere.

We came down and when it was time for the husband and wife to come in, the bridemaids and the grooomsmen whatever danced forward.

My uncle and his wife trailed behind them while I as the best man and a white lady who’s the best lady too followed too.

I kept laughing silently as I intentionality step on the lady’s gown beside me. She would miss her steps but would try to regain balance again.

Am not wicked, just trying to be funny.

I saw Sir McDonalds and Doctor Nelson sit at the front table.

Doctor Nelson was busy with his phone, I don’t know who brought him here. How did he even knows this place. He raised his head up and our eyes met.

I rolled my eyes and looked away.

Soon, the groom and bride sat on the big wedding chair and faced the friends, family and guests.

Even those that came to eat.

Now, time to serve food. The caterers were serving the meals. The girl serving it gave the groomsmen beside me and left the table to another table.

Ah ah! Am I invisible or what?

Now, they will say Enita have come again. How can she pass here, give the men beside me and left without even glancing at me.

Ahh! Devil in human form.

Food that have planned to eat to my satisfaction. I can’t be stupid this time.

So if is glory they are sharing now, that’s how they will just pass me by. I reject it.

I stood up and went to the girl, I tapped her on the shoulder her for her to see me and took two plates of food on the tray she was holding.

Both fried rice and jollof rice. I can’t kill myself.

“Sir..you can’t…….” I told her to keep quiet.

“It my uncle’s wedding, so I can eat the way I like.” I turned to go sit down.

The men stared at me but I pay no attention to them. I can’t come and kill myself.

After all I went through, I won’t know now eat anything. Impossible!

The wedding ended and everyone went home. Uncle Efe and aunt Stella went home and I did too with Mimi.

“I think we’re gonna be the next couple now.” I told Mimi.

“I can’t wait, I pray you won’t do anything crazy. Just don’t scatter the wedding, please.” She pleaded.

“I promise, I won’t. Less I forget, you didn’t see Nelson?” I inquired.

“Of course I did, he even came to me and told me they were going back to London and I bid them bye.” She shrugged while I nodded.

Oh Lord, I commit my future wedding into your hands. Any enemies that will make me scatter my own wedding with my craziness, thunder should fire them for me.
