SEASON 2–Episode 3
NDI MMIRI KINGDOM
The People all gathered before in the Palace before Queen Ajonwa to hear who would handle the affairs of the Kingdom when she would be gone for her mission.
“I greet you all my People”Ajonwa started
“We greet you Great Queen”They chorused in reply.
“So, I’d be going on a vengeance mission to Umuozara..to avenge the wrongful death of Nne mmiri my mother, your Queen. It wouldn’t be nice if I leave the kingdom like that without handing it over to a capable hand who would run the affairs of this kingdom on my behalf..” She paused and looked at them, then continued..
“I’m handing this kingdom over to Ogoli, one of my advisers.. Ogoli come forward”
Ogoli moved forward smiling
“She has been my trusted servant for long and I entrust this Kingdom to her till I return..”Ajonwa said.
She removed her crown, royal anklet and wore it on Ogoli who knelt before her. She also gave Ogoli her royal staff of authority.
“Now, I’ll leave.. Ogoli take care of my Kingdom as I leave.. Peace be upon you all”
“I promise to do my very best.. Thank you my Queen for trusting me”Ogoli said..
Ajonwa nodded and vanished to Umuozara for her mission…

It’s been over 3 hours since Ebere was in labour.. King Afam was pacing the front of her Hut restlessly.. The Onowu had offered to stay with him while the other Ichies had gone back to their respective homes.
“Calm down my King.. Everything will be okay” Onowu assured him.
“Are you sure? Because am scared.. Is this how long it takes to deliver?”
Onowu laughed
“It takes even longer. My wife was in Labour for 2 wh0le days before she delivered Ejike my son..”
“uhmmm.. I just want everything to be fine”King Afam said.

The next day, the UmuAdas assembled at Ndulue’s compound chanting war songs.. The UmuAdas are made up of all first daughters of the Land whether as a biological daughter of the Land or by marriage. These women controlled the affairs of families as they settled marriage disputes, case of stubborn children and any other quarrels pertaining marriage. UmuAdas are feared in every land because their say is required in almost every decision in the Land.. They are honored almost the same way the “Okpara” (first son) is honoured.
The matter has been reported to them officially by Ndulue.
They halted at Ndulue’s obi.. He heard the song and came out. Ekemma followed suit with other children in the compound. Adaugo and Omasili couldn’t come out because of their injuries.
“I greet you UmuAda ndi oma”Ndulue greeted
“We greet you too”They chorused
“I thank you for honoring my call.. I have a very big problem and it is Adaugo and Omasili, the women I married with my own money”
“chere nnanyi.. Wait..where are they? I mean Adaugo and Omasili” The leader said looking around..
“So you mean they heard our voice and stayed indoors? Oh! What a show of disrespect!!”A woman said..
Ekemma rushed to call them out.. Adaugo couldn’t carry her hand properly and she had a severe head injury while Omasili leaped with her broken leg..
“Greetings umuAda”They both said but UmuAda ignored them.
Ndulue went into his Hut and brought a fat c–k while his son Ebube followed behind with a basket of huge yams.. He set it before the UmuAda.
“This is just a token from me.. Please help me deal with these two women.. I don’t want to join my ancestors prematurely biko” He said..
The UmuAdas rejoiced at the gift
“Unbehalf of my fellow women, we appreciate.. we promise to look into this matter and act accordingly” The leader said.. Have you read Coolval stories?
Ndulue nodded smiling..
“ngwa come here!”a woman shouted at Adaugo and Omasili.
They came forward
“Okwa unu si na nti chiri unu? Unu ga anu nti taa..(Shebi una say una no dey hear word? Una go hear word today)” the women leader said..
Two women carried their c–k and basket of yams as they pushed Adaugo and Omasili forward not minding their condition.
They started their song as Adaugo and Omasili led the way..
They were to walk round the village asking for forgiveness for disturbing their Husband..
After that, they were asked to sweep the village square for a full week then fetch water to fill all the UmuAdas houses (the umuadas are up to 40 in number).. Then, they would provide a goat each as fine for not coming outside when they heard the voices of the UmuAdas..After that, they would go back to their husband and plead for forgiveness and swear before agbala never to disturb his peace anymore..

SEASON 2–Episode 4

“omuolaa oo, omuolaa!! (She has put to birth!)” The midwife announced excitedly to Afam and Onowu.
Afam jumped up in excitement.
“Thank u agbala.. Thank u so much”
He turned to the midwife “How are they? My wife and the baby.”
The midwife smiled “actually, babies..she had twins..a boy and a girl”
“Ejima!!”Onowu exclaimed happily
“Can I see them now?”Afam asked
“Not yet my King.. The Queen is been cleaned up but I’ll bring the babies now”She moved into the Hut and was followed out by a maid both carrying the babies..
The baby boy was given to Afam while Onowu carried the girl dancing happily.
“He would be called Onochie and the girl would be called Chimma”Afam declared
The next day, a big party was thrown to welcome the Ejima born to the Royal household..
It was like a great feast because there was a lot to end and drink.. The people danced and rejoiced greatly.
The next day after the wh0le feasting, baby Onochie developed a fever..
“Run..call the medicine woman here immediately!”Ebere shouted at the maid..
“Take it easy, he will be fine”Afam consoled.
Soon, the medicine woman came and administered some herbs to the little baby who fell asleep later on.
The next morning, cries came from the Queen’s Hut.. Little baby Chimma was dead!! She died in her sleep..
“But she wasn’t sick..”Ebere wailed..
“Onochie who was sick is now hale and hearty.. Why would the girl die when she was the healthy one? This is a mystery..”Afam lamented..

NDULUE’S COMPOUND
the household has known some valuable amount of peace since Adaugo and Omasili finished serving their punishment.
They ignored each other to avoid quarrels and their husband was pleased by this..
“So you two ain’t quarrelling anymore!? Wonderful.. UmuAdas need to be thanked..ehehn! Omasili so you can actually tame your sharp mouth? And you Adaugo the lioness.. So your body can be this cold? Odiegwu..”Ndulue said in mockery as he laughed.
Adaugo sat in front of her Hut applying herbs on her head while Omasili sat with her children in front of her own Hut plaiting her last daughter’s hair.
Both of them ignored their Husband.
“Nnanyi, I wondered also.. I can’t believe this household can be this peaceful for close to a week now”Ekemma laughed
Both Adaugo and Omasili looked at each other and ignored them.
“The gods be praised”Ekemma added
Adaugo and Omasili looked at each other again.
“But why have u been looking at me like that for a while now?”Adaugo shouted at Omasili
“How did u see me if u weren’t also looking at me?”Omasili fired back
“I can see you really want trouble.. I have been ignoring you for quite sometime now and you’re now thinking am scared of you.. Stay on your own o biko before they say Adaugo has started again”
“And you too, stay on your own before I descend on you again..”
“Descend on who? Do you think am scared of you?!”Adaugo stood up while her pot of herbs shattered on the floor but she didn’t care.
Omasili also advanced towards Adaugo
“I will beat u beyond repair…anaghim atu gi ujor (am not scared of you)”
Ndulue turned to Ekemma as they watched the two women in surprise. They didn’t think Adaugo and Omasili would fight anymore after the many punishments they received from UmuAda.
The women however continued their banter
“I will deal with u..”
“I will kill you anuofia..”
Ekemma gently went in,side her Hut in resignation.
“I give up..”Ndulue said and went in leaving the women to continue their banter.

THE DARK FOREST
Nku had accepted Nworie, son of late Onu-agbala into his homestead.
Nworie had explained everything his late Father told him and also gave him the sacred staff.
“You still have alot of things to learn my boy. A lot..”Nku said
Nworie nodded
“Am ready to learn Great one”
Nku nodded in satisfaction “Now get up, let’s go into the forest for some little lessons”
Nworie followed Nku into the forest.

THE PALACE
Ebere was carrying little baby Onochie in her arms rocking him to sleep when she saw Onu-agbala.
“what are you doing here? I thought you’re dead!”Ebere asked scared
“I might be.. But I live on.. Queen Ebere,ive come to give u a warning from the gods”
“What is it?”
“What is it you’re holding in your arms?”Onu-agbala asked
Ebere looked at him confused
“My baby.. My baby boy”
“Throw that baby away..”He said
“Whaaat? I should throw my baby away??”Ebere asked in shock
“That is not your baby.. Your baby will come soon, this child will only bring u pain and destruction.. Throw it away!! Throw it awayyyyyy”
“No I can’t. Nooooooo”Ebere scre-med and woke up..
It was all a dream…
“What type of dream is this? Chukwu okike”Ebere said holding her chest that was beating terribly.
She walked to the place where her baby was kept and felt his pulse.. He was sleeping peacefully.. She heaved a deep sigh of relief..
