EPISODE 47
– MARY’S POV-
“Okay, I guess you’ve gotten the point that I don’t want to be friends with you” I said to Ellen and she rolled her eyes.
“How sweet of rude you are” Ellen smiled.
“Did you follow me here, why are you trying to be friends with me so badly?” I smirked.
“I’m just being friendly, you’re not the only girl in school” Ellen said and looked up at our reflections in the mirror. She breathed out and walked out of the bathroom and minutes later I did too.
.
During class, Ellen wanted to be a show off and answered every question during history class and I did the same during geography, she can’t just show off on her first day. I’m pretty smart too.
Ellen threw glances at me each time I answered a question and I did the same each time she answered a question.
After math class our math teacher threw a compliment at Ellen and I saying how she’d like us to have this same spirit in her next class.

We all heard the bell which was for lunch break and immediately my friends came to me, well we all eat lunch together.
Ellen was busy shoving her books in her bag, when I saw a girl walk pass her and up to me. She held a smile on her face and held a paper in her hand.
What is this.?
“HI… Mary…” she stuttered.
“Yeah?” I primped.
“So can you help me give this to your brother please.” she said, dropped the note on my table and walked out of the class immediately.
I almost fumed in anger as I saw what was on my desk.
I wanted to yell at the girl but I couldn’t because she was already gone. If she has a crush on Joel she should tell him directly, I’m not a portal that transports people notes to Joel.
“Another letter” my friend Viviane laughed.
“Honestly your brother’s cute, but it would be nice if girls have some little courage and walk up to him themselves.” my other friend fauna said.
“No kidding” Hannah agreed with fauna.
I looked down at the note, I wanted to tear it into pieces, but I thought of a great idea.
I read the letter and almost laughed.
~dear Joel Robinson Joseph, for six months I’ve been in love with you, I don’t have much to say and I’m sorry I didn’t meet up with you to tell you this face to face, but I love you and I would love even if it’s just a single day date, would you please go with me?~
.
“Can you guys keep my seat in the cafeteria for me please. I’ll be back soon” I smirked standing up.
“Where are you going?” Ellen sudden chimed in.
I looked at her disgustingly. “Uh none of your business” I glared at her before walking away.
I made my way down to the second floor and to Joel’s class, I found him talking with Krystal, they’re not in the same class though, Kathleen’s in grade ten and Joel grade eleven.
I guess Krystal must have came to borrow for something, just like she always does.
I walked up to them and placed the love letter on Joel’s desk .
He looked up at me.
I forced a smile. “Come with me” I said.
“What’s wrong?” He asked.
“Just come with me… Please.” I said and he stood up.
“Can I come?” Krystal asked.
“if you like” I shrugged.
Joel stood beside me and we both walked down the hallway to the cafeteria.
He just finished reading his love letter and he gave out a sigh and handed it back to me.
“So apparently, at the bottom of the letter the name ‘from Shirley’ was written there, so do you know any girl named Shirley?” I asked.
“I don’t” he shook his head.
“Good” I smiled.
We walked into the cafeteria and i managed to sā‚±0t the girl who sent the letter, she was the shortest and tiniest amongst her friends.
“Hey” I smiled at her when I got there.
“Shirley?” Krystal called surprisingly.
“Oh you know her” I smiled at Krystal.
“Yeah she’s in my class” Krystal replied.
“Good, so okay, shorty, oh I mean Shirley, this is your letter and this is Joel, now you can tell him everything you want to tell him instead of a stupid letter. I’m sure they’re some stuff you really want to say with your mouth that you couldn’t, but that’s okay, I brought Joel to you, you can totally say what you wrote now.” I smiled…
Shirley seemed a bit nervous as Joel looked down at her waiting for her to say something.
“Will you… Will you go on a date with me this weekend?” Shirley managed to ask.
“Sorry” Joel quickly responded “I’m busy this weekend” he lied.
By busy he means spending some alone time in his room all day.
“There you have his answer, and you gained totally nothing handing the letter to me instead of saying your words freely” I said and tore the letter apart.
I’ve recieved more then ten letters this week from girls telling me to hand them out to Joel, am I some kind of messenger?.
“Can you move your foods” I said to the Shirley girl and her friends and they did so.
I got on their table yelled “Hey!!!!”
My voice echoed through the cafeteria and everyone turned to me.
Good.. Everyone attention on me… Check.
I know I’m going to get in trouble for this if a teacher sees me, but I have to.
“If any of you have a crush on Joel here. Don’t you dare walk up to me and hand me any stupid notes or tell me to pass any stupid words to him, because I am not a cupid portal that passes love letters or words, and the girls who had given me letters for the past two weeks, I never gave them to him and you can find your letters in the schools trashcan, Joel is not a God, you can talk to him if you want, if any one ever walks up to me to say shit about me passing any stupid letter is going to get it. Now is the chance you have, if you have something to say to Joel, say it now. He never comes to the cafeteria, now here’s the your chance”.
Joel sighed and walked out of the cafeteria.
I walked down the table, and returned the glares I was receiving from some girls.
I went to my friends and they’ve already ordered my food.
“Thank you” I smiled at them.
“What you did now was crazy” Hannah laughed.
“Did you see your brother’s face” fauna laughed. “He was like, oh I’m so going to kill Mary when we get home” fauna added making the other girls laugh.
“Joel can’t do anything, I’m older he knows that” I smirked.
“He’s taller and a boy” Viviane added.
“Don’t judge my brother according to yours.” I rolled my eyes.
“Can I join you guys!” we all heard a familiar voice and looked up.
“Are you stalking me or something?” I asked Ellen the new girl.
“I’m not, look around, you guys still have an empty space, the caferia is full” she rolled her eyes.
“You’re asking for permission to sit and you’re rolling your eyes. How sweet of you” I said sarcastically
“Yeah right, I’m super sweet” she said and sat down right opposite me.
“I didn’t say you could sit” I said angrily.
“I didn’t ask for your permission” she rolled her eyes.
“What the hell is wrong with you, who the hell do you think you are.” Hannah suddenly chimed.
“I’m Ellen Andrew, nice to meet you, now shut up and sit down, your food’s getting cold” Ellen stated.
“What the hell—
“Look!” Ellen suddenly interrupted fauna.
“I know you girls can be all crackheads, like your leader here Mary, but seriously I can be a crackhead too, but you seriously don’t want to see me in that mode.” Ellen shook her head.
“Crackhead? Leader? Me? You must be pretty crazy” I scoffed.
“Of course I am, aren’t we all crazy?” Ellen smile taking a bite out of her French bread.
“You must be very stu-
“It’s enough Viv” I said to Viviane.
“I’m just being super nice and you guys are the ones acting weird.” Ellen rolled her eyes.
She does have a point.
“You can be nice to other girls” I arched my brows at her.
“already did that, but they were way too nice and quiet around me, you guys are better to hang out with” Ellen smiled.
“By tomorrow I’m sure you would have figured out your problems” I rolled my eyes and continued eating.
We let Ellen ate with others and when we got into the class, she tried to start a conversation with me but I ignored her, she got the message and kept quiet.
That’s right.

School was over that day, shoving my homework book in my bag, I grabbed my text book about to close it when when bumped into me spilling Juice in,side the pages of my textbooks.
“Oh my God, I’m so sorry” Ellen suddenly said.
“First you were stalking me, now you spilled juice in my book, what do you have against me seriously, how am I supposed to do my homework if this page is messed up.” I yelled angrily.
“I’m sorry okay, I tripped over my chair and almost fell, it would have been better if my body and juice had landed on the floor” Ellen sighed.
“It would have been way better.” I rolled my eyes.
“I have this same text book a new one at my house, if you want I can bring it for you tomorrow” she said.
“Then how am I supposed to work on my homework today” I arched a brow at her and she sighed.
“Okay, if you’re willing to come with me to my house now, you can get it.” Ellen shrugged.
I contemplated on the situation for a while in my head before nodding. “Fine, I’ll come with you, you can have what you designed” I said threw the book at her. She caught it and shook her head Negatively.
“You’re one rude girl, Mary definitely wasn’t a good name for you”.
“And you think you’re nice, Ellen was probably the worst name your parents could think of.” I shrugged.
“Well at least it’s better than being the total opposite of my name.” Ellen laughed.
~
Ellen and I stood in front of her car and we both stood together waiting for Joel and Krystal to walk up to us.
“So you’re both going to go home without me” I said.
“Why, where are you going?” Krystal asked.
“I need to get something from her house, I’ll be home soon.” I said looking at Joel.
“Well Krystal go ahead, I’ll be going with Mary” Joel said placing the car keys in her hand.
Krystal frowned, “I can’t drive”.
“You’re sixteen, you can’t drive” I shook my head.
“It’s not like it’s my fault” Krystal rolled her eyes.
I glared at her and she looked away.
“Just go home with Krystal, you don’t have to come with me” I said to Joel.
“And let mom freak out. No thank you” Joel’s voice was quiet.
I gro-ned.
“look Krystal just give the car keys to one of your boyfriends to drive you home, Joel won’t listen to me” I sighed.
“One… Of my b..boyfriends?” Krystal seemed flushed as she glanced at Ellen then at me.
“You think I haven’t seen you flirting with different kind of boys in the hallway, I’m sure you’ve said yes to one of them” I rolled my eyes.
“Hey Krystal” a boy yelled behind Krystal walking towards us.
Krystal shyly looked back and then at me.
“Wow, I haven’t completed my words and there’s already one romeo coming your way, go give him the keys, and good bye” I said and lightly pushed Krystal towards her romeo.
Krystal left us leaving Ellen, Joel and I.
“So? Should we hit the road?” I asked and they both nodded.
But suddenly got interrupted by a voice that called out ‘Joel’
Joel turned to see a girl smiling and waving at him behind us.
He sighed.
“I’ll be back” he said
“Be quick.” I yelled.
Ellen and I got into the car, I got into the back seat, and she, the driver’s seat.
“So let me guess, the Krystal is your cousin and Joel your brother.” Ellen smiled.
“Yeah, you guessed perfectly” I nodded.
“Of course someone could tell, Krystal and Joel has this slight resemblance, it’s like a resemblance about to fade, and you and Joel share this strong face features some can easily tell you’re both related. But damn your brother is so cute” Ellen laughed…
“Good for you, he’s coming with us, you can confess your feelings to him” I rolled my eyes.
“Just because I said he’s cute doesn’t mean I have feelings for him, don’t be pathetic” Ellen scoffed.
“How rude” I muttered.
“learned it all from you!” she turned and gave me a smile.
I look out the window of the car to see Joel waving the girl goodbye with a smile and walking up to us.
The smile was still on his face as he sat down beside me in the car and closed the door.
“What? Is that your girlfriend?” I asked with a laugh.
“No” Joel smiled faded.
“What? Are you shy to admit the truth!” I laughed.
“She’s not my girlfriend”
“Then how come she’s the first girl to ever make you smile from my point of view” I asked and he turned to me…
“Thats because it’s from your point of view” he stated…
Ellen started the car and starts to drive.
“Fine, if you don’t tell me I’ll just ask her myself at school tomorrow” I smiled.
“Please, don’t!” Joel quickly said.
“Why?” I smirked.
“Don’t make her feel uncomfortable” Joel sighed.
“Don’t make her feel uncomfortable” I mimicked his voice and laughed “No kidding you like this girl don’t you” I eyed him…
“Maybe” he shrugged.
“Maybe? Wow maybe? Did you hear that Ellen, he said maybe, don’t tell me you’re a player, only player says maybe!” I said and hit his chest.
Joel shook his head and turned to the window.
“Hey don’t ignore me, Mr. Maybe, you player.” I said and pulled his shirt so he’d turn to me.
“You like her, yes or no?” I asked arching my brows up and down at him.
He laughed. “You have a problem” I heard Ellen laugh from the front seat too.
