🖤 Chapter Twenty One 🖤

I flung myself on the sofa tiredly, that had been an unexpected turn of event. I kicked my shoes off and pulled my jacket. I was dropping it on the sofa when Caleb stomped in.

“Oh thank goodness you are alright, where the hell did you and Kisa go?!” He barked. I raised a brow at him, reminding him who he was talking to. “I’m sorry Luna, I was just worried.”

“Kisa and I went alone, after the wh0le scre-ming the house down scenario,” I sneered at him, making my disapproval obvious. Caleb scoffed.

“I’m sorry Luna, but I’m afraid what is happening between us is none of your business, please don’t interfere.”

“So you really don’t want her as a mate?” I smirked.

“Danielle will come back.”

“Great, because she found her second chance mate and he was more than happy to welcome her,” his eyes flew open, “what? Shocked? Well you better be because Kisa is no longer a member of our pack, she is now fully mated to the phoenix who surprisingly have a human form. The man is smoking if you’ll ask me…”

“How could you let him take her?! She is my mate!” He roared at me.

“Excuse me?” I asked scoffingly, “you rejected her dude, what do you want from her? To continue feeling pain and living in rejection? You scre-med at her to get a second chance mate and she did, he was happy to take her.”

“She is not suppose to be with anyone else! Kisa is mine!”

“Caleb! You rejected her!” I shouted back, getting irritated by his selfishness.

“I never wanted her doesn’t mean anyone else should! Kisa belongs to me!”

“This is insane,” I said incredulous, sitting up right, “you don’t want her, but you also don’t want her to be happy with someone else? Caleb that is selfishness!”

“It is none of your concern you bitch! You must have manipulated her into mating with a bird! You disgusting witch!”

“Caleb do not insult me or…”

“Or what?!” He roared, he was shifting. I knew Caleb had gone mad. I stood up just in time to get out of the way as he threw himself at me, shifting in midair. Caleb’s heavy wild dog barked viciously at me, crouching down to attack.

“Caleb, sit!” I commanded. His dog collapsed on the floor, whimpering as he tried to fight my command.

Kisa! Kisa if you can still hear me, Caleb has gone mad and is trying to kill me!… I shouted through the link. I knew she could hear me, being the Luna of all weredogs, even the powerful fire one had it advantage.

It was cold silence for a while before she replied, her fox replied with her, their voice speaking in a cold blunt unison… Kill him.

Two simple words, yet it weighed the wh0le world. Caleb was my friend, I couldn’t kill him but he was selfish and cruel, even attacking his queen. I was still contemplating, not paying attention to my surrounding when he jumped on me, his dog slamming me down. I had to use my hands in quick reflexes to hold his jaws apart.

“You stupid dog! Anyone who touches me die!” I shouted in clear panic for him. I pushed him off, hurling him across the room. I stood on my feet fast, Caleb stood too and rushed to me, to finish what he had started.

I waited for him to get closer before I jumped, I landed on his back with the force of an elephant, smashing him down to the floor and destroying his spine. Caleb howled in pain, yipping and whimpering. I jumped off him with narrowed eyes.

“Stay down you dingbat,” I growled, but it wasn’t my voice, it was the voice of Arc. I felt his presence in me, his aura radiating from my body.

“A body of fire
A body of the sun
A body of water,
Wind, the moon, lightning and stone
A form of metal
A skin of ash
Touch not my anointed
And do my prophet no harm.” The voices whispered everywhere, I knew what was coming next. With a vicious roar emitting from my chest, the roar of my angry mate, the marbled floor grew abruptly into metal, bursting through the dog in every single corner.

It didn’t end there, it dead body turned black and scattered into ash. Caleb was dead and ash. Arc’s present left me, left me to stare at the horrible sight. I fell on my knees as I broke into a sob, I didn’t want this for my friend, he was never a bad person to me but maybe that was all for pretence. I later cleaned the wh0le place up and went to bed, tired of the wh0le thing.

Three days later and I was ready to be on my way, I took three days to rest and just collect myself. During my stay there, I listened on the news about the earthquake that completely destroyed a city in Texas, five bridges falling all of a sudden in Asia, and then the twister that nearly destroyed Kansas city. I knew it was Esme, she was doing her job well and it was about time I did mine.

Finally I was at the bottom of Mouth Everest, looking up at the huge work for me. I couldn’t quite teleport there, the magic at it peak was powerful enough to stop me. So I stood there gawking like a fool.

“Now what is a pretty lady like you doing here all alone? I wouldn’t fancy you for a mountain climber,” I looked to my right to see who was bothering me, “hi, I’m Gustin, Gustin Flight.” He flashed his impeccable white teeth at me.

Gustin was an incredibly tall man with black hair and blue eyes that shone like sapphire. Muscles, he got it all, even the abs popping through his tee shirt and beauty. I smiled back at him, not really in the mood to talk.

“So what are you doing down here? You are not planning on climbing are you? A snowstorm is going to hit this place in ten minutes and an avalanche is sure to follow.”

“I need to get to the peak, it is important I get there before sunset today.” I replied bluntly.

“Oh come on, don’t tell me you would rather spend the night shivering up there than with me? Don’t need to brag, but I am pretty hot.” He dragged a whistle and wiggled a brow at me.

Not only was his pick-up lines a mess, he was no where close to the hot men I had encountered. Phoenix and Arc would mop the floor with him, even Chlorie and Drew was a hærd wall to scale. I raised my hand and flashed my expensive and priceless wedding ring at him, smirking when he gasped.

“Why are the good ones always taken,” he muttered, “are you here with your husband?”

“Stayed home to care for our four years old daughter,” I glanced at him to see his eyes grow wide. Gustin broke into a cough.

“Sorry, pretend I tried to hit on you few minutes ago, okay?”

“Whatever,” I said with a dismissive wave. He tapped me, making me raise a brow at him. His touch set my instinct in alert. “What?”

“Can I at least get a name?”

“Idalia, what are you?” I found myself asking.

“Pardon?” I eyed him from head to toes, trying to figure out what he is.

“You don’t smell like a werecreature, certainly not a dog or you would have known who is standing before you. You’re not a vampire, neither are you a warlock…”

“Wait, you are not human?” He gasped.

“My name is Idalia Bridgestone, wife of the king of earth clan.” Immediately my introduction stopped, he threw himself on the snow, bowing before me.

“I am so sorry, I had no idea it was you Your Highness, I plead forgiveness and please don’t tell the king.” Well, as the king of the earth clan, Arc ruled over all earth paranormals and so did I. We just prefer to stick with the weredogs since they are more obedient.

“Rise,” he stood up immediately, “what are you?”

“Wind fae, I used to live in the wind clan before I moved to live on earth.”

“You have wings?” I asked excitedly, the solution was staring at me in the face.

“Ur…yes?”

“Fantastic! I need you to fly me to the peak of the mountain, ASAP.”

“Now?”

“Don’t you understand ASAP? It is very important I get there, please?”

“It would be an honour,” he bowed. Right before my very eyes, his shirt ripped as his wings sprouted out, his beautiful oyster white wings. He swept me into his arms and took off, it was phenomenal!

I explained to him why I needed to get there as he flew higher, and I got to know he was lonely. He came down hoping to find love but only got his heart smashed a couple of million times. Finally he dropped me at the freezing peak. I lifted the seal and called on the queen’s name. Nothing happened at first, until a tornado from nowhere came out and swallowed us.

The ride to the wind land was terrible, I almost threw up. Finally we were vomited on a cloud, this place was more unbelievable than phoenix’s. The wh0le castle was made out of diamond! The ground were clouds and the whiteness was beyond description. I was still gawking at the place when someone cleared her throat. I turned and saw a woman standing there, her white cloud dress merging with the ground beneath her feet. She was beautiful, the whitest being I had ever seen.

“Welcome to our home, keeper, our queen is anxiously waiting for you,” she eyed Gustin, “why is he here?”

“Gustin, My assistant,” she nodded and walked in,side. Gustin didn’t even act like he just saw a goddess, he wasn’t smitten one bit. We followed her into the castle, Gustin muttering to himself until we got to the living room. Just like her, her sisters were white and beautiful, nothing but their crowns and face identifying them. “My queen,” I bowed to the eldest and the queen.

“Idalia, what a pleasant surprise, I assume you are here for Esme?” I nodded, surprise she knew already. “I was hoping you would come, I have some conditions before I can grant your request.”

“We,” the third one said with excitement, “I’m Anila,”

“Breeze.” The one who ushered us in said coldly.

“What are the conditions?”

“Breeze here has always wanted to see a human perform and dance for her, so if you don’t mind…” I smiled at the queen, it had been years since I danced to someone but I still knew how to move. Grateful for my simple furry jeans and sweater, I did give her one of my best, pretending like Emy and the others were there with me.

Breeze was smiling and clapping by the time I was done, the coldness was gone. Then Anila made a ridiculous request that I be her best friend for seven days. I had no choice, I agreed to have tea parties and slumber parties with her.

“Any other unusual request?” I huffed.

“Yes, what I want for my request is that you find me a wind creature that is ready to stay with me for as long as I can endure him, one that will fill me up with sinful pleasures. I am tired of my boring life.” Queen Aira said all this while eyeing Gustin, making her interest in him apparent.

“You will never give up, would you Aira?” Gustin sighed, running his hand into his hair. I was shocked, he called her by her name.

“Not until you give in Gustin, i always get what I want and you are the one stubborn thing I can’t have.” Her sister giggled.

“I am not a thing! Aira, I don’t want to have to be with you, honouring you because of your position and enslaving my freedom and happ…”

“I can make an oath to give you freedom to go anywhere you want, you can be my king and not feel belittled, I promise.” Aira said desperately.

Am I missing something here?

“You should be happy that the queen is in love with a being like you, stop showing off.” Breeze huffed snootily.

“This is exactly what I am saying!” Gustin yelled furiously, “everyone keeps reminding me of how lucky I am to be selected by you, what about me?! I wasn’t lucky to be selected, I don’t want to feel lucky, I want it to be because you actually see me for me! I knew you as Aira, the shy wind nymph who kept messing up my garden to play with my pets, not a queen! I didn’t know you were a queen when I married you, had no idea who you were when we first made love. So why the f-ck is everyone treating me like a beggar?!”

“Gustin…” Aira sobbed, “ignore them, I don’t…”

“Sisters, don’t cry for him!” Breeze shouted. Gustin huffed and flew out.

“Gustin!”

“Now look what you have done,” Anila said chidingly. With the gush of the wind Aira was after Gustin.

“Wow,” I breathe, “I keep running into the right and yet so odd situations, what was that all about?”

“My stupid sister fell in love with a common fae and married him behind our backs. Now the ungrateful thing left her after he found out she was a queen, who does that?!”

“Someone who truly loves her for her, that’s who.” I smiled, turned and followed them out. I found Aira sitting at the bottom of the stairs, crying bitterly.

“All I want is for him to come back, but he isn’t ever going to take me back.” I sat down beside her and pulled her into a hug.

“He loves you, luck hasn’t really given him anyone else since he left, because you and him are meant to be together.” I whispered.

“I don’t think so,” she took the seal from my hand and blew wind into it, “you can go now, my Pegasus will be waiting for you outside to take you to the water personification.” She said softly.

“I promised to be friends with your sister and I will,” I stood up with a grin, “and before I leave here, Gustin will be yours again, you just need to make him want you.”

“And how do I do that?” She asked anxiously. I eyed her royalty gown and sneered.

“Let’s do this the human way.”

To be continued.

Celeb is dead, too bad. Let’s check on Esme shall we?
