🍂 Daphne’s POV 🍂

Is this how everything is gonna end?

Is Liam going to be unconscious forever?

He doesn’t deserve this
He should be living a happy life

I looked at him, he was laying unconscious by my side

I wish you’ll wake

“I’ve missed you so much” I said as tears rolled down my cheeks and I closed my eyes and broke into tears

Then all of a sudden I heard a gasp and I opened my eyes

He’s waking up
He has opened his eyes

“Liam!!” I exclaimed as I hugged him

I helped him sit up and he seemed so weak

“What happened to you? You suddenly became unconscious and you left me alone, I was so lonely and I missed you so much” I said as tears rolled down my face and I hugged him again

“It’s okay it’s okay” he said as he patted me on the back and I smiled

I’ve missed everything about hi

“What happened?” I asked

🍂 Liam’s POV 🍂

“Am still trying to get things together Daphne, I was shown how all this Curse came about, I’ll tell you about everything but I’ve missed you too Daphne, when I was there, I was totally a different person and I had no idea of what I was there, sometimes I loose myself and I forget everything but you always remind me that am Liam, I hear your voice most of the time and whenever I do, it reminds me of who I am and that someone is…” I was cut short by a k-ss from Daphne

“I… Am sorry, I just….” She stammered

“It’s okay” I managed to say and she nodded

We both kept silent but I could hear our hearts beating faster

Daphne just k-ssed me!!

Oh my God, why is my heart beating so fast

“Umm… How long have I been unconscious?” I asked

“7 days” Daphne replied

“What!, 7 days!!” I exclaimed and she nodded

“Okay” I sighed ” where are we? This place doesn’t look familiar” I said as I looked around

“We…. We were kidnapped” she said

“Kidnapped?!!”

“Yeah immediately you became unconscious some hit me and I loosed consciousness, then I found myself here” she said

🍂 Daphne’s POV 🍂

“Who kidnapped us?” Liam asked

I was trying to avoid this question, should I tell him it’s my Mom?

No I can’t, if I tell him and he knows that she’s planning to kill me in the next full moon, he won’t allow it

“Daphne?” He called slowly “What’s going on?”

“N… nothing”

“Then what were you thinking? Who kidnapped us?” He asked again

“Just a woman and I don’t know her” I said

“Why did you seem so lost in thought before?” He asked

“I.. I wasn’t lost in thought” I replied

“I have a feeling you are hiding something from me Daphne and I know am right” he said and I didn’t know what to say

“Come on Daphne, what’s going on? Please tell me the truth” Liam said and I sighed

“Well…. The woman who kidnapped us is planning to kill me in the next full moon in other to stop the Curse” I said deliberately hiding the fact that the woman that wants to kill me is my Mom

It’s too embarrassing for me to say

“What!! How did she know about the Curse?” Liam asked

“I don’t know” I replied

“Well, whoever she is she’s wrong, I saw how the Curse started Daphne, there was no time Hera said it can be broken by killing anyone”

“Who’s Hera?” I asked

“I’ll tell you later but you aren’t dieing Daphne, killing you won’t solve anything” Liam said

“But how sure…”

“Do you trust me?” He said holding my hands and looking into my eyes

“Yeah” I said with a nod

“Then we gotta find a way out of here, no one’s dying” he said and I nodded

“Good, how many days before the full moon?” He asked

“21 days” I replied

“Still, if we want to find a way to break this Curse, we have no time to waste, we have to escape from here soon, you’ll help me right?”

“Yes” I said and he smiled

“Help!! Help!!!” I yelled and she ran into the room, my mother

“What’s it?” She asked

“It’s Liam, his condition is worsening, I can hear his heartbeat neither can I feel his pulse” I said pointing at Liam he was laying still with his eyes closed

“I don’t know what to do Daphne, am not a healer” she said

“Just help me check his pulse, maybe am mistaking” I said

“Okay” she said and walked towards Liam

She knelt beside Liam and I sighed, I hope am doing the right thing

Immediately she took Liam’s hand to check for his pulse, Liam caught both her hands and twisted it to her back and Mom scre-med in pain

I gave him the jacket I was holding and he tied her hand with it as my Mom struggled to get free

“How could you do this Daphne, you promised to go by the plan” she said

“Sorry” I managed to say

“The plan wouldn’t have worked” Liam said and then turned to me “let’s go”

“Don’t go, you guys will be in the danger if you go, the Soul Hunters are still out there” she said

“That’s not a new thing, we’ve faced the Soul Hunters before” Liam said and grabbed my hand “let’s go”

We walked out of the room and Liam locked the door

“Do you have to lock the door?” I asked

“Of course, she might escape and come after us again” he said and I nodded

We walked out of the house and I smiled

Finally, Liam is back

“Are you sure it’s safe to stay here?” I asked

We are standing in front of my house, my foster parent’s house

“We have no where else to stay Daphne perhaps the Soul Hunters have never been here so it will take them some time to find this place and we’ll just sleep here tonight and leave early tomorrow morning” he said

“Okay, it’s not like we have any other place to say” I said and he smiled

We entered the house and everything was just like we left it

Liam sat down on the couch and I sat beside him

“You should go to bed since we’ll be leaving early tomorrow morning” he said

“Where will you sleep?” I asked

“I’ll sleep in any of the other room” he said and I sighed

“Liam” I called slowly

“What’s it?” He asked

“Can we sleep in the same room tonight?” I asked and he looked at me surprised

“Am sorry I just… I don’t want to be alone tonight, let’s just sleep in the same room please”

“Okay” he said as he stood “Let’s go den”

I stood up too and we both went in,side the room together

“I’ll sleep on the floor, you can sleep on the bed” he said

“Come on, I can’t let you sleep on the floor perhaps the bed is large enough for both of us” I said

“You won’t be uncomfortable?” He asked

“Of course not, why will I be uncomfortable” I replied

“Okay” he said as he sat on the bed

“I wish I could have a shower” I said

“You can have a shower, what’s stopping you?” He asked

“Well, no towel” I replied

“I saw one in the room I slept on before lemme get it for you” he said and left the room before I could say anything and I smiled

Few minutes later, he came back with a towel

“Will this be okay?” He asked

“Yeah” I said and went in,side the bathroom

I removed my clothes and stood on the shower

Few minutes later, I was done and I wrapped the towel round myself

It was short but I can’t sleep on the clothes I just removed since that’s what I’ll be wearing again tomorrow since all the other clothes were in Liam’s car

I hope Liam won’t have any problem with me sleeping like this beside him

But anyway, I feel much better and refreshed

I walked out of the bathroom and Liam was still sitting on the bed facing the floor, seems he’s thinking of something

“Is everything okay Liam?” I asked and he looked up but he didn’t say anything, he just kept staring at me

“Oh, am sorry if you are uncomfortable with the towel, it’s just that I don’t have any spare clothes” I said biting my l-ips

“It’s…. It’s okay, we’ll get you clothes tomorrow” he said

“Okay” I said as I sat down beside him “So you haven’t told me what happened while you were unconscious” I said looking at him

“I was taken to…” He stopped talking as he turned to look at me

Our faces were just inches apart

“You look like her” he said

“I look like who?” I asked

“Aurelia”

“Who’s Aurelia?” I asked but he didn’t say anything, he just moved closer and k-ssed me, a long deep k-ss

“Am sorry, am really sorry, I didn’t mean…” I cut him short as k-ssed him back and we fell on the bed

🍂 Liam’s POV 🍂

The sun shone on my face and I slowly opened my eyes

I looked to my side and saw Daphne sleeping beside me
Then memories of last night rushed into my head

“Oh my God, what did you do Liam” I said allowed

But I stopped, she was the one that urged me on

“You should have still held yourself, what have you done now” I scolded myself as I hit my hand on my head and Daphne woke up

“What’s going on?” She asked weakly

“Umm…. Daphne…. I….. You know…. I didn’t…. Umm…. Gosh what am I saying” I said as I puffed

“It’s okay, it’s not your fault, I…. I made you do it, do you regret it?” She asked looking at me

“Of course I do, am really sorry” I said and she’s looked dissapointed

“Oh” she said “Well am sorry for making you do something against your wish” she said and went to the bathroom

What’s wrong with her?

Daphne is all dressed up and so am I

“Whe should check the Park to see if my car is still there” I said and she nodded

“I just hope the car hasn’t been towed” I said as we walked out of the house

I stopped a cab to the park and we both entered and the driver drove

The journey was in silence and soon the driver pulled over in front of the Park and I paid him since I was still with my wallet

“Thank God, the car is still here” I said aloud

“Mmmm” I heard Daphne say

What’s wrong?
Is she still angry with me cause of what happened last night?

We went towards the car
I opened the door and we got in

“Should we go get some food” I asked

“Not hungry” she said curtly

I looked at her, is she really still annoyed about last night

But she said she was okay with it

“Daphne” I called but she didn’t look at me “Am really sorry about last night, I really didn’t mean to do that, I was out of my mind am sorr…”

“Will you just stop apologizing!!” She yelled as she turned to look at me

“What?”

“Am I that bad? So bad that you want nothing to do with me? Or maybe it’s because am ugly and Cursed, of course no one will want anything to do with a Cursed girl that killed her own parents and spent 22 years alone in the woods” she said as she sniffed

“What are you saying Daphne, that’s not it, the reason am apologising isn’t because of that, I was afraid I hurt you, afraid that I might hurted your feelings, am sorry if I made you think otherwise but I just care for you too much to do anything that will make you cry, and you are really beautiful Daphne, so beautiful that I couldn’t control myself last night and as for the Curse, we are both Cursed, so I think we are pretty much the same and we are in this together okay?” I said

“Okay” she nodded and I smiled

We drove off and went to a restaurant, we had breakfast and we left the restaurant

“Where should we go now?” She asked

“I don’t know, where should we go?” I asked

“But wait a minute, you still haven’t told me what happened when you were unconscious”

“Oh that, why don’t we go on a long drive round the town as I tell you” I said and she nodded with a smile

We talked as we drove around West Haven
I told Daphne all about Hera and Aurelia

“I know Hera was heartbroken but that Curse was a bit too much” she said

“Yeah, when I.. I mean Kal begged her to change her mind, she looked at him with pity and I totally thought she was gonna change her mind but she went on with the Curse nevertheless” I said

“So am a descendant of Aurelia Hills” she said and I nodded

“What was the year back then, do you know?” She asked

“I think 1486” I said

“When were you born?”

“1986” I answered

“Woah, you are him Liam, you are Kal, you were born exactly 500 years after the Curse just like Hera said” she said and I nodded

Its still hærd to accept the fact that my Soul is Cursed to wander in different bodies every 500 years forever

It was getting dark and we passed by a grassland and I stopped the car

“We should rest a bit here” I said and she agreed

We left the car, went to the grassland and sat on the grasses

“Where are we going to sleep?” Daphne asked

“I don’t know” I replied

“Then you shouldn’t have ran away in the first place” I heard a voice and we both looked back to see the woman that kidnapped us

“How… How did you escape” Daphne stuttered

“You aren’t the only one with magical powers Daphne” she said “I must say, am really dissapointed in you Daphne” she said

“Why are you dissapointed in her, did you expect her to stay still while you plan on killing her?” I asked

“It’s necessary, do you think I want to….” She stopped talking as everywhere suddenly became cold

“They are here” Daphne said

“Run!” The woman yelled and we started running but it was no use, we just met the Soul Hunters in front of us

They were three and each of them came after one of us

The one coming for me stretched out his dark veiny hand and I thought he was going to make my blood boil again

But for the first time, I felt weak and numb, it was as if he was draining my Soul out of me
Just like he did to Charlie

Am dieing

“Get away from him!!” Daphne yelled and the Soul Hunter was flown afar

How did she do that?

Before I could say anything, I another Soul Hunter caught Daphne off guard and began to do that blood boiling thing for her and Daphne yelled

“Stop!!” I yelled but it was of no use

Why don’t I have any powers, am so useless

“et eiciam vos de cineribus Phoenicis munditiam!” I had someone yelled and I saw a puff of white powder and the Soul Hunter tormenting Daphne disapeared

It was Aria, she came to help us again

I quickly hugged Daphne
“Are you okay?” I asked

“Yeah…”

She was cut short by a scre-m and we looked to see the woman that kidnapped us as she slumped on the ground, the Soul Hunter took her Soul

“Mom!!!” Daphne yelled as she ran towards where she is

Why did she call her mom?
