One of the funniest and annoying things about life is that it’s full of unexpected twists and turns and some of this twists and turns have glad tidings while some have unfortunate and tragic consequences.
Just minutes ago, Robin and I were an item but now, our relationsh¡p has literally collapsed and it’s all thanks to his mother’s cruel scheme. However, I can’t help but feel shocked about Robin’s response and it got me wondering whether our relationsh¡p was real in the first place.

Why would he say that I’m not enough? Was he just pretending this wh0le time to make me believe that he didn’t care about what I looked or my humanity? Could it be that our relationsh¡p was nothing but a…. Pretense?

Despite feeling sad about how things turned out between Robin and I, I still couldn’t help but feel angry at him. What made him think that I would blindly do anything he wants me to? I had no problem having him as my boyfriend despite the fact that he’s a wizard but why won’t he accept me the way I am?

After the little fiasco that happened moments ago, Here I was with Robin’s father following him like puppy. I couldn’t get close to him cause the old wizard was giving off a calmly yet omninous vibe that made my skin crawl. As I followed the father of my ex bf around the witches realm, the mystical beings we passed glared at me hungrily and began to lick their l-ips. Supposing I was alone they would have feasted on me already but they didn’t. The presence of Robin’s father made them hesitate.
For 30mins, Robin’s father and I kept walking around the witches realm and not for once did the old wizard bother to turn around and see if I was following him, eventually we soon stopped after we arrived at a mountain top and after a brief moment of silence, the old wizard finally spoke to me.

Ayinde ➡ It’s been a long time since I came out in the open like this…. I heard your little drama with my wife and her guests and I must say, I’m quite impressed. For a human like to stand on your ground despite stilling in the middle of the lion’s den, you’re sure courageous. But if you don’t mind me asking, weren’t you afraid?

Morenike ➡ (silence)

Ayinde ➡ Speak human!

Morenike ➡ I was afraid but God was with me.

Ayinde ➡ How do you know when he’s not even there?

Ayinde ➡ Such unshakable faith. I like that. Although it’s a shame that you and my son arent together anymore but I’m glad with the way things turn out. You may think that I’m inconsiderate of my son’s feelings but that’s how fate has ordained it. I’m mostly particularly impressed by you. I respect those who accept what they are cause if one doesn’t accept his own identity, they’re better off dead.

Ayinde ➡ There’s something that I wanted to tell that I could never tell anyone except you. Your union with my son was never meant to be, I know he loves you deeply but fate decides how our lives will turn to be. For a long time, I’ve had seen this coming, my son’s fate lies with the witch that loathes your foster sister.

Morenike ➡ LOLA!? HOW.. WHY..

Ayinde ➡ There’s no need for you to know why. This is fates judgment not mine and as for you, your fate lies with a stranger who has walked on piles of corpses, a stranger who seeks redemption for a blood stained past, this is the person that you’ll be with sooner than you’d expect.

Morenike ➡ I’m going to be with an murderer? But that’s….

Ayinde ➡ Don’t be quick in judging others human. You’re not a saint either. No one is above sin.

Morenike ➡ What a day. First Robin and I are no more and now I’m going to be paired up with an assassin. Could my day get any more worse?

Ayinde ➡ Quit complaining human. You think the present is bad, the future is more worse that you think.

Morenike ➡ What are you talking about?

Ayinde ➡ I had a vision decades ago which showed me a dark and tragic future. The reason why I’m telling you this is because I saw that same future is in you, Lola and my son. In fact I saw that future in everyone else i know but in,side that sinister darkness, there was a little ray of light, a light of hope and in that light stood you and others who I will not mention.

Morenike ➡ My God! If what you say is true then I must tell Ebinoluwa about this, I’m sure there’s something that she can….

Ayinde ➡ DON’T YOU DARE!! If you don’t want to see a greater chaos in the future, don’t tell anyone about this.

Morenike ➡ But why?
.

Ayinde ➡ Just let fate run it’s course. The threat that is coming can’t be avoided.

Morenike ➡ Are you saying that I do nothing?
.

Ayinde ➡ Yes.
.

Morenike ➡ This is ridiculous! Why should I keep my mouth shut knowing that the future is going to be doomed. It’s better we prepare for it now.

Ayinde ➡ Sigh! Girl.. There are some things that can never be changed or avoided. You have no knowledge about this kind of infinite phenomenon, its better you obey what I say. You humans think that you can change your life if you want to, you believe that your destiny is in your own hands. You’re all wrong. Life is juggled by fate and once your life is shaped that is how it’s going to be.
The only thing you can do at the moment is pray.

As a student of Mass-com, my intuition tells me that I should share with the others what I just heard but however my instincts were telling me otherwise. The old wizard was right about one thing, I have no knowledge about this kind of infinite phenomenon, in fact who am I to argue with a being that’s probably hundreds or thousands of years old. Now I understand why the media sometimes hide information cause there are some info that are not meant for public ears cause they might cause chaos. Perhaps some information are best not heard about.

Morenike ➡ Alright then.. Fine. I won’t tell anyone but you know others can read my mind, what if they find out through there?

Ayinde ➡ Don’t worry, they won’t cause after you leave this place, you won’t really remember what happened here.

Morenike ➡ What are you going to do?

In that very moment, Robin’s father turned around and glared into my eyes, his right eye was green and it shone very bright like a star. I tried to turn my eyes away but I just kept staring at it, before I could realize what was happening, my eyes felt heavy and my body felt weak, I slumped on the ground instantly and passed.
During my unconscious state, I had a dream that felt so real and in this dream I was to my 11year old form. My parents were alive in the dream and they looked so happy, I’ve never seen them this happy before. We were all together on grassy plain field walking around excitedly, everything seemed so perfect as if we were in paradise then something terrible happened. The sunny skies became dark and so did the clouds, big balls of fire where falling from the sky and the ground itself cracked open and within that crack emerged demons and monsters. My parents tried to run but they were crushed by one big ball of flame. I was left alone in the middle of that disaster, I tried to run but my legs weren’t fast enough, the demons chased me trying to eat me and they were gaining on me. Before I could get far, a gigantic blast of lightening landed between me and the demons destroying the entire place like a bomb and just as I was about to fall into the h0le made by the lightning, A man whose face I couldn’t see grabbed me and held me in his arms tightly. I thought I was finally safe but that wasn’t the end of it. After the lightening struck, the ground began to swallow itself and within a matter of seconds, the man and I fell into the dark pit and after that I woke up.

Shortly after I had woken up from my nightmare, I realized I was in the middle of the road. Due to the temporary dizziness I felt from my dark dream, I had to lay down and get hold of myself. Moments later, I finally managed to stand up and look around my surroundings, I realized that not only was I back in Ibadan but I was also close to my neighbor which was a few minutes of walk from where I stood. At that moment, I checked the time on my Samsung and saw that it was 11:30pm. I had 30mins before the midnight arrives. Without wasting any more time, I left the street and headed home as fast as I could. I should have been in my hostel sleeping by now but here I am all alone in the middle of night which was quite dangerous and unwise. Speaking of loneliness, I wasn’t exactly alone, there were some other people who weren’t asleep and most of these people were hoodlums and local pr-stitutes. I thought by ignoring them and walking away hurriedly would make them pay less attention towards me but I was wrong, in fact thanks to the clothes I wore, all eyes were soon on me.
By the time, I arrived at the neighborhood where Riley’s parents once lived, I was followed by 3 nasty looking hoodlums who made naughty remarks about me and despite the fact I ignored them, it still didn’t discourage them. Before I could go far, this 3 hoodlums surrounded me from all sides putting me in their middle, they laughed cynically and held their lower regions scratching it steadily in a rather disgusting way.

Hoodlum 1 ➡ Omoge! Na where you dey go nau? Hang with us na

Hoodlum 2 ➡ Yes o. This kind body wey you get no big small thing o. Everything don full.

Hoodlum 3 ➡ s-xy omo kekere! Come jare make we pound that full investments you get.

Morenike ➡ Leave me alone. I beg of you.

Hoodlum 2 ➡ Come jor! We think say we go let body like this dey waka? Come quietly make we ginger your puna or else.

Hoodlum 1 ➡ Knacking by force.

Seeing there was no way I could reason with this b-stards, I decided to take off as fast as I can. Before I could even go far, one of the thugs grabbed me by my wa-ist tightly, I swiftly gave him a slap across the face for him to let me go but that only enraged him even more. Whilst I was struggling in the hands of my captor, the heartless creep gave me a slap across the face and covered my mouth before I could scre-m. The others quickly rushed in and grabbed me pulling me in,side the forest that lead to the iroko tree. As I was clustered between this 3 smelly hoodlums, the first 2 grabbed my bre-sts pressing and squeezing it while the one behind me squeezed my b-tt and p—y poking each of them with his hands and er-ction.

Hoodlum 3 ➡ Ewo! This bwess soft o (laughs)

Hoodlum 2 ➡ Her nyarsh too no be lie. I go smash am tonight.

Hoodlum 3 ➡ Shut up jor. You carry body like this and you expect make man do nothing. Tonight we go empty our nuts for this toto. Oya, spread am for ground.

I struggled desperately as I realized what this guys were trying to do but despite my resistance, I was no match for the strength of this smelly guys who were already driven by lust. Just as one of the guys was trying to pull off my trouser, something unexpected happened.
Suddenly, there was a loud thud and the guy that was trying to remove my trouser shouted out loud and held the back of his head painfully, the others turned around only to see a granite stone and a tall guy standing a few meters behind us. At first, they were terrified but then summoned up the courage to confront the stranger but before the could say anything, the stranger spoke out to them first.

Chris ➡ Ganging up on a lady is nothing but cowardice. Look at you 3, calling yourselves men when you’re nothing more but street rats.

Hoodlum 2 ➡ (speaking Yoruba) Eku ni baba yin…. (Your father is the rat)

Hoodlum 1 ➡ Wait o.. No be this Igbo kwenu guy wey pack recently?

Hoodlum 3 ➡ (speaking Yoruba) E ma jeje…. E o mo idi ti ata yoruba fi gbona.

Chris ➡ I have no what you just said but I bet it’s vulgar. Let the lady go now.

Hoodlum 1 ➡ Or wetin?

Hoodlum 2 ➡ Make una deal with this b-stard. I go kill am tonight.

Chris ➡ Come try am. I go shower pepper for your eyes. (Laughs)

Hoodlum 2 ➡ (shouts angrily) ARRRGGGHHH
.

Charing with blazing fury, the hoodlum picked up a stick and rushed toward the stranger savagely with the intent to kill. The stranger stood his ground and faced the incoming hoodlum head-on. As the two of them clashed, the hoodlum swung the stick savagely at the stranger who dodged perfectly and smoothly. To our surprise, the stranger dropped a mean punch in the hoodlum’s stomach and swiftly swiped the stick from his hand, he then proceeded to beat down the hoodlum mercilessly and brutally.
As the other 2 saw what was going on, they quickly brought out knives from their wa-ist and charged towards the stranger. Despite ganging on the stranger, the other 2 hoodlums were also beaten down and overpowered. The stranger’s way of fighting and defense was like that of a pro fighter, he easily outmanuveured both the two hoodlums and made them eat dirt.
Despite knocking out 2 out of the 3 hoodlums, the stranger still didn’t stop, he kept brutalizing the third one which was stoned first. Although I appreciated him saving me, I still could not approve of his brutal methods. The hoodlum who was unfortunately at the stranger’s mercy begged him to stop but his please fell on deaf ears.

Hoodlum 2 ➡ (crying) Ahhh oga.. Please.. Please.. Spare me abeg.
.

Chris ➡ Sc-ms like you don’t deserve mercy. What you truly deserve is death.
.

Hoodlum 1 ➡ AHH.. OGA PLEASE… I GET MAMA..
.

Chris ➡ Don’t waste your words on me.. Time for you to meet your maker.
.

With one swift move, Chris crouched down and grabbed the hoodlum’s neck punching his face mercilessly. The crunching sound of the punch made my body twitch uncomfortably not to mention the bloody sight that was too much for me to bear. Seeing that the hoodlum was about to be punched to death, I decided to interfere before the stranger could batter his face up.

Morenike ➡ Please stop.. It’s enough. Please.

Chris ➡ Why beg for this sc-m’s life? You were about to be r-ped.

Morenike ➡ Yes I’m aware of that and I’m grateful for your help but there’s no need for you to kill him.

Stroking her cat’s fur while sitting on the roof of her parent’s house, Ebinoluwa stares at the full moon thinking about what her mother had told her about her aunty’s reunion with her uncle, but what bothered her the most was Morenikes’s date with Robin. Ever since her foster sister was kidnapped, Ebinoluwa had been worried about Morenike’s outing.
Morenike’s safety was among the things that Ebinoluwa cares about and it would pain her alot if something bad had happened to her. Being the only sole survivor of her family, Ebinoluwa had swore to make sure that Morenike’s life would be fruitful and that she would start a family of her own.
Whilst she was stroking her cat, Ebinoluwa decides to head back into the house and head to her room but before she could leave the room, The young witch hears a faint sound coming from the woods, she then enhances her sight to see what was making the noise.
To her surprise, Ebinoluwa sees Chris and Morenike heading this way. What surprises her the most is the way Chris stared lustfully at Morenike while following her steadily from behind, another thing that surprises her was the absence of Robin who always brought back Morenike home whenever they both went out. After observing the two for a while, the young witch teleports from the roof and appears in front of the house waiting patiently for her foster sister’s arrival. Within a matter of minutes, both Morenike and Chris arrive in front of the house where they met Ebinoluwa’s fierce gaze.
