One of the greatest advantage of being born a wizard/witch is that we get to go anywherr we want in a matter of seconds. We don’t need to wait for transportation like humans or trek with our feet, all we have to do is teleport here and there instantly without any wahala.
Shortly after I had teleported myself to Aunt Rose’s house, I began to pray that she wasn’t at home cause if she is, she wouldn’t allow me to get what I came here for. Just as I was about to enter the house, I saw Helen on the branch of a mango tree right next to their bedroom window playing with her pet spiders 🕷. She was so absorbed in what she was doing that she didn’t even hear me when I called out to her, so out of annoyance, I teleported myself to where she was.

Riley ➡ Helen, Se aditi ni? Mo ti n pe oruko re.. (Are you deaf? I’ve been calling your name)

Helen ➡ 😒😒😒😒

Riley ➡ Helen!!

Helen ➡ Kini? (What?)

Riley ➡ Tch! If you no pay attention Ehn.. Emi yoo lù ọ (I will slap you)

Helen ➡ Ṣe iwọ yoo gbá mi? (You will slap me?). Okay..

In that instant, Helen waved her right hand and before I knew it, I was tangled by spider webs 🕸 from my neck downward. I tried to break myself free but the webs were so incredibly strong like wire cables.

Riley ➡ Helen.. Release me this instant.
.

Helen ➡ Don’t even bother struggling, these webs are been enhanced by my magic to be as strong as I want them to be. Even the strongest elephant can’t break free from this web and a word of warning, this webs are sharp as well. They can easily cut through diamonds like butter.

Riley ➡ Na lie. Prove it.
.

Instantly , Helen maneuvered one of the webs that was on her right finger like yo yo and swung it on her father’s car slashing the metal junk in half like it was thin air. I gasped with shock as I saw the car fall apart as it divided in half. In that moment, I turned my gaze on Helen and saw the calm but terrifying look on her face. This girl no be joke o. She could kill me or any other witch/wizard if she wanted to. All this years I’ve known her, I never knew her magic was this powerful, in fact I never knew she could do such a thing, I do know that she controls spiders 🕷 this new magic ability of hers is a nightmare. I just hope she doesn’t turn out to be like her mom cause if she does… Hmm.

Helen ➡ Are you convinced or do you need more practical proof?

Riley ➡ No.. I’m convinced. 100% convinced. Oya let me go now.

Helen ➡ I can’t.
.

Riley ➡ Why?
.

Helen ➡ I haven’t yet learn how to dissolve the webs.. But don’t worry, I’ll dissolve within 8 hours.
.

Riley ➡ 8 hours? Ṣe o ya were? I don’t have time to wait for 8 hours.
.

Using my anti magic, I instantly got rid of the Helen’s magic on webs and easily broke free from them. I would have used my anti magic earlier but I had to wait and see the limits of my cousin’s magic and now that I’ve seen everything, I’d better be watxh my step around Helen cause it’s clear that she’s dangerous and with time and more practice, she could be a formidable witch.
Shortly after I broke free from the webs, Sara showed up unexpectedly popping out of the shadow was right next to me and Helen. It’s amazing to see how easily she moves within the shadows like her mother. I don’t know how skilled she is with her shadow magic but I would love to see some demonstration.

Sara ➡ Helen, you sliced daddy’s car in half. He won’t be pleased o.
.

Helen ➡ I know but he won’t complain and besides Mom can get him another one.

Sara ➡ Have you finished washing the toilet? (laughs)

Riley ➡ You think smelling people’s shit is funny?.. Look jor.. Ehn.. Are you parents around?

Helen ➡ They’re in their bedroom playing their game. What is it?
.

Riley ➡ I’d like you 2 to come with me, there’s something I want us to hunt.
.

Sara ➡ (excited) HUNT??

Helen ➡ As in to kill something?
.

Riley ➡ Well.. Yes. Won’t your parents notice that we’re gone?
.

Sara ➡ Let’s go jare. When they’re playing their game, they’re barely notice us.
.

Riley ➡ Sounds like my own parents. Oya na, let’s vamoose.

Being married to a woman is not easy but being married to a witch, that one na hell. Don’t get me wrong, Christen is not a bad wife, in fact she’s the best wife I or any man could ever ask for but she does have one or two problems.
Ever since I got reincarnated into a different being, Christen had been sticking to me like glue, I’m not saying it’s a bad thing but sometimes a man would like to get some little space to breathe.
Despite clinging onto me, that wasn’t enough for her. Christen then began to instruct her demon slave, Ovarkt to monitor my movements. If to say I was human, I wouldn’t have known that the demon was following me around but now that I’m a supernatural being, I could smell the demon a mile away. At first, I didn’t bother about this but now, its getting on my nerves. Another problem with Christen is that she doesn’t allow me to work, she insists that money is not a problem and as long as there’s magic, all is well. Let’s observe some things here, Only a lazy and stupid man would agree to something like this, nobody likes to suffer but it’s good for one to earn a living. One of the biggest mistake a man could make is to let his wife feed him or take care of his responsibilities as the head of the house. Not only would the lady brag about it but she’ll lose respect for the man completely.
So in order to avoid that kind of problem, I secretly went around looking for work. With the help of Bimpe, I was able to secure a job at the OOPL wildlife park here in ibadan and I have to say the job is great. Apart from the nice salary, the environment is not so bad either. All I had to do was show the tourist around the park 🏞. For 2 good months, I’ve been doing this job without Christen’s knowledge but that didn’t last long.
One evening, as I came home feeling exhausted and hungry, I met Christen sitting comfortably on the couch, she looked beautiful as usual but there was something about her that seemed off and that was her intimidating stare.
Christen didn’t even bother to welcome me or offer any greeting, she just kept staring at me as if I was her sworn enemy and just when I was going to ask hee what’s wrong, Christen spoke out first.

Christen ➡ Where are you coming back from? 😒
.

Riley ➡ Uhm… I went to visit..
.

Christen ➡ Don’t you dare lie to me. Tell me where you’re coming from?
.

Riley ➡ Watch your tone, You’re not my mom. And if you want to know where I’m coming from.. It’s work.
.

Christen’s stare soon changed into a look of hate and rage. I was hoping she’d flare up and go berserk but she remained calm and adjusted herself on the couch.

Christen ➡ So you went to work huh?… Despite all I’ve been doing to make life easy for you you’re still ungrateful.
.

Riley ➡ Its not about that. I’m a man Christen and I’m the head of the house. It’s my responsibility to take care of you not the other way around.
.

Christen ➡ What’s wrong in me handling things? Isn’t that what married couples are supposed to do?
.

Riley ➡ I know but yours is too much. I can’t sit still and do nothing. I have to work.
.

Christen never gave me an answer after that, instead she stood up from the couch and headed back to the bedroom swaying her s£xy h¡ps and b-tt cheeks at my face. Seeing how hot Christen was in her long silky black gown, I was hoping I could make love to her tonight but it seems that wasn’t going to happen. After Christen left the sitting room, I headed to kitchen to see if she had made some food but there was none ; even the dinning table was empty.
Infuriated by what Christen did, I went to meet her up in the bedroom but before I could enter the room, thick tree roots instantly barricade the door making it impossible for me to enter. I called out to Christen to undo her magic but all I got was a long heart shredding hiss.
Being evicted out of the bedroom isn’t a recent thing cause this has happened quite a number of times whenever Christen and I had a disagreement or quarrel. As soon as Christen had denied me access to the bedroom, I sighed and went out of the house heading straight to the Witches Realm.

Here in the witches realm, My father-in-law Eli, was busy holding and staring at a photo frame that contained the picture of his dead wife when I appeared. Upon sensing my presence, the old wizard dropped the frame and welcomed me.

Eli ➡ Riley….Your presence is unexpected but wanted all the same. Welcome my boy.
.

Riley ➡ Good evening sir..
.

Eli ➡ Please.. There’s nothing good about this evening. If it were in the old days, I’d be sitting here with my wife on my thighs enjoying her delicate touch. What brings you here?
.

Riley ➡ Its your daughter sir.. She…
.

Eli ➡ Locked you out again. Well have a seat. Do you want anything to drink or eat?
.

Riley ➡ No thanks..
.

Eli ➡ Nonsense.. Your stomach speaks otherwise and lucky for you, I have a little something that might want.
.

With a flick of Eli’s fingers, a nice well peppered🌶 suya appeared on the table. The suya was made out of goat meat and it smelled delicious. As soon as I thanked my father-in-law, I began to eat the suya with relish. God, how I wish Christen could see me now.

Riley ➡ Mm mm, please join me sir.
.

Eli ➡ Eat, don’t worry about me. Although I would like to have a roasted human heart and livers right about now.
.

Riley ➡ Oh..
.

Eli ➡ So tell me Riley. What did you do this time to make my daughter deny you access to her and your bed.
.

Riley ➡ She doesn’t want me to work. She believes that her magic will solve everything but that doesn’t sit well with me. I’m a man and I’m the head of the house. I have to be the one handling the responsibility.
.

Eli ➡ I understand how you feel and I support you. A man shouldn’t sit on his b-tt and let his wife handle everything. Even if she’s richer than him, he should at least do something.
.

Riley ➡ I’m glad that you do sir.
.

Eli ➡ Hopw you’re not angry with Christen?
.

Riley ➡ I was but I can never stay angry with her for all. After all, women are complicated.
.

Eli ➡ I agree. They look so harmless and delicate but deep down they’re a force to reckon with.
.

Riley ➡ If you don’t mind me asking sir, what was your wife like?
.

Eli ➡ AHH… Elizabeth was the best thing that ever happened to me. She was the light of my life. I curse the day that she was taken from me.
.

Seeing where the conversation was going, I decided to keep my mouth shut. There’s no way I’d forget that Christen’s mother died in the hands of humans and the fact that I’m well a former human, it places me in a very tight position. As if the old wizard was reading my mind, he assured me not to worry about anything else.
.

Eli ➡ You don’t have to be afraid Riley.. What happened wasn’t your fault. Not every human is the same. Although I do admit that I hated the humans before but after seeing what you went through with my daughter despite all odds, it made me change my view about humans. However, there is something I would like to ask you?
.

Riley ➡ What is it sir?
.

Eli ➡ Supposing Christen was taken away from you, what would you do?
.

Riley ➡ I don’t understand your question sir.
.

Eli ➡ What I meant is, if she were to die, what would you do?
.

Riley ➡ If she died a natural death, there’s nothing I can do. I know it hurts but that’s how things were meant to be.
.

Eli ➡ But what If there was a way to bring her back to life?
.

Riley ➡ I’ll do everything within my power to revive her again. Why are you asking me this?
.

Eli ➡ Come, there’s something I want to show you.
.

Although I wasn’t done eating the suya, I dropped it on the table and followed Christen’s father. As soon as we both left the sitting room, Christen’s father and I went below the house where there was a secret passage. I’ve been to this house a number if times but I’ve never been to this part of the house, In fact I never knew it excited. Before we could get through the passage, there was a black door with the face of a devil on it. Eli who was in front of me, stood near the door and uttered some strange words and as soon as he had done that, the face on the door opened it’s mouth creating an opening for us to pass.
Eli went on ahead first before I followed him in cautiously. My mind was telling me to turn back but then I decided to keep on going. in,side this passage lies a dome and in the middle of that dome stood a big statue which held something in its hands. As soon as Eli and I arrived and stood near the stony sculpture, I saw a encased coffin like the one Rose was reserved in years ago and in this coffin was a female corpse who’s face looked very familiar.

Riley ➡ Sir, who’s this? She looks very much like…
.

Eli ➡ Christen! Yes, this is her mother and also my wife.
.

I gasped with shock as I heard that and what the ma said was true. Although I’ve never met my mother-in-law but her resemblance with Christen and Rose is uncanning. What surprised me even more was that how was her body still intact after all this years? Her body looks very much alive not to mention very young looking.
.

Riley ➡ Is she alive?
.

Eli ➡ No.
.

Riley ➡ But why not bury her?
.

Eli ➡ I couldn’t, not when I have a chance of reviving her.
.

Riley ➡ Does Christen, Rose or Oliver know about this?
.

Eli ➡ They don’t.
.

Riley ➡ They deserve to know.
.

Eli ➡ They’ll be distraught and angry with me for keeping this from them. I wanted to tell them years ago but I didn’t want to keep their hopes up without finding a way to bring back their mother.
.

Riley ➡ But it’s been years if not a century since she died. What if she was never meant to be resurrected?
.

Eli ➡ You have no right to say that. You’ve been dead and resurrected twice.
.

Riley ➡ So have you tried resurrecting her?
.

Eli ➡ Countless times. I’ve tried everything but nothing seems to work. The magic always bounces off.
.

Riley ➡ Bounces off?
.

Eli ➡ Yes.. It’s like something restricting the resurrection magic from doing it’s work.
.

Riley ➡ Does anyone know about this apart from you?
.

Eli ➡ Yes, my sister Jezebel. She knows about this as well.
.

Riley ➡ Why did you bring me here?
.

Eli ➡ Your daughter resurrected you despite knowing that you can’t come back to life. Your daughter has the power to twist fate if she chooses. I want you to..
.

Riley ➡ No.
.

Eli ➡ Excuse me?
.

Riley ➡ What you’re asking for is too much. I may not know about magic but what you’re asking for could cause great consequences. If you had failed to ressurect your wife, what makes you think my daughter can?
.

Eli ➡ I don’t know but if she can just try. Time isn’t on my side and I don’t want to leave this world without at least hearing my wife’s laugh once more.
.

Riley ➡ I’ll think about it but supposing she agrees and tries to resurrect her grandmother without succeeding, what then? Won’t that hurt you and them even more? If Ebinoluwa finds out about this, she won’t hesitate to tell her mother.
.

Eli ➡ You’re right. I’m glad to have confided in you but promise me one thing.. Do not tell anyone about this. Promise me.
.

Riley ➡ I swear to God, I won’t but if this doesn’t work, you have to put an end to this and give your wife the rest she deserves.
.

Eli ➡ I will.

After I left the witches realm and returned back to Ibadan, I decided to take a stroll along the road before I go back home to Christen.
The time was 6:50pm and the sun was nearly out of sight. Darkness had begin to arrive and it was only a matter of seconds before everywhere goes dark. Whilst I was walking around, I began to recall what I saw back at thw witches realm. It’s really a beautiful thing to see someone mourn for their loved ones this much despite the years that had passed since their demise but even so it’s a emotional burden to preserve the body of a loved one knowing that it causes them grief and pain.
However I can’t really blame Eli for what he did besides he was doing this out of love. I wonder how I’d cope if Christen were dead.
While I was caught up in my thoughts, I felt a sinister presence around the place I was standing and before I could react, I heard a faint noise and the smell of blood coming from north side of the forest.
Despite being a lesser version of the witches, my taste buds was now the same as theirs and the smell of blood that I perceived in that moment placed me in a tight situation.
Although I’ve never given to my cannibalistic side, the blood smelled great and it was making my tummy to rumble. God, now I know why Rose kills humans unnecessarily.
Christen is sure brave to have resisited this kind of urge for bloodlust. It’s really not easy to resist something like this but if my wife can resist for this long then so can I.
After I had controlled my urges, I rushed towards where the sound was coming from. The sinister vibe was getting was quite intimidating and whoever being or creature that was giving off this vibe, it’s definitely not a friendly one. Immediately I got to the place, I saw piles of human bodies all unconscious, they were also covered in some kind of sticky goo. Before I could take another step, I heard crunching sounds coming from my left hand side and as soon as I turned around, I saw a very hideous monsters chewing the head of a police man whose body was shaking tremendously in the monster’s hands. Sensing my presence in it’s moment of feeding, the monster raised its head and glared at me, roaring angrily. I had to shout the name of Christ as I observed the ugliness of this unholy abomination. Apart from it’s big head, the monster had bloodshot eyes and a smelly nose unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Mucus dripped down from it’s mouth and nose making it even more disgusting.
Killing this monster wouldn’t have been a problem but my gloves were at home. Seeing that I had no choice left, I decided to face this monster head on and hopefully make it back home. Seeing that I was ready to face it, The monster threw the body and the police man and roared like thunder.
