Chapter 74 :- Armageddon (Contd)

Operating steadily in the dark hours of midnight, the members of the black pirate cult work tirelessly as they each carry out their savage duties under the watchful eye of Ebiri, a blood witch.
Ebiri who’s also one of Evlyn followers was given the task of selecting girls with strong potent blood that would be used for rituals and also to select those that would be preserved as food. The task was a bit tedious for the blood witch cause she had to draw out small quantity of blood from each girl by hurting them with her claw, then came the testing which also took a lot of time. Since the cult members couldn’t do any magic, their job was to separate the girls and categorize them based on the potency of their blood.
After working for a few hours, Ebiri finally finishes her task and decides to give herself some time to rest before opening a portal to send of the girls, as for the cultists they too decided to find something to amuse themselves with. Instead of being more cautious and on guard, the cultist became carefree as they discussed about the eternal rewards made to them by Evlyn and whilst they caught up in their interesting conversation, something unexpected happens.

Cultist 1 ➡ Wait o.. Una smell something?

Cultist 2 ➡ Smell wetin?
.

Cultist 1 ➡ Something dey smell like gas.
.

Cultist 3 ➡ (sniffs) Na true o. We get gas for this place?
.

Cultist 4 ➡ Ogbeni, you dey craze? You forget say na outside Ibadan we dey and this place wey we dey na rubber factory.

Cultist 5 ➡ The smell dey come from outside, make we go check jare!
.

After alerting the others, the cultist grab their guns and head outside to see if they could trace where the smell of the gas was coming from. By the time the cultists get outside, they cover their noses as they perceive the strong smell of the gas and petrol which hits their nostrils instantly, the smell was so strong that it was quite hard to breathe. Just as the cultist were about to retreat into the factory, one of them spots few dozens of gas tanks around the factory and the fuel line of their cars had been cut. In that moment, other cultists in the factory came out to see what was happening but before they could figure out what was going, they saw something unexpected.
Suddenly out of nowhere, a small object lands with a thud amidst the confused cultists. One of them who had seen the object reached down too see what it saw and to his surprise, it was a grenade. Seeing that the safety was removed from the grenade, the cultists shouts to his comrades and then takes off running like an antelope. The others who saw their comrade fleeing ran as well but before they could all get far, it was already too late.
In that very moment, the grenade exploded giving out a big bang and with the gas and petrol laying around, the explosion got bigger and nasty devastating the everything and everyone with it’s vicinity. After the explosion, there was a great big fire and the agonizing screams of the cultists has they burnt up in flames, some that managed not to get caught up in the explosion were wounded by it’s impact. One of the cultist who had managed to get back on his feet froze with fear as he saw something emerging from the thick smoke before them.
Here before the cultist’s eyes was Chris in a black bullet proof body armor suit and a full face mask as he walks through the flames of the explosion and in his hands were 2 pistols with silencers on each barrel. After getting close enough, Chris begins to shoot down the cult members that were still moving putting a bullet in their heads. The cultist that had managed to get on his feet tries to run but his legs were both taken out by Chris. Seeing that there was no means of escape for him, the cultist tries to beg for his life but unfortunately, his efforts were in vain.

Cultist 5 ➡ Please oga.. No kill me. Please.
.

Chris ➡ Tell me, where are the girls?
.

Cultist 5 ➡ Dem dey inside. Please no kill me. Have mercy.
.

Chris ➡ Mercy!?
.

Cultist 5 ➡ Yes please.. Show me mercy.. I swear I’ll never do something like this again.

Chris ➡ Liar! After what you and your friends have done, you all deserve a gruesome ending. You want mercy? Ask God for mercy…. in the afterlife.

Cultist 5 ➡ OGA PLEASE… NOOOOO!!!

Honestly, I was thinking that dealing with these scumbags was going to be difficult considering the fact that they were involved in juju and that was the reason why I had to test them to see tough they are and I have to say, they were not what I expected.
The time was now 2:30am and I had arrived here about an hour ago. Initially, I had planned on launching a full scale assault but now that I have reduced the numbers, it was time for me to go get the missing girls that is if they’re still alive. As I got into the rubber factory, I wore my silver cross around my neck and walked steadily with stealth holding my guns tightly and firmly. Considering this is my first time dealing with the supernatural, I had to be careful at all times cause there’s no telling what I might run into.
After walking around quietly for some minutes, I heard the small cries of children coming from the storage rooms of factory. As quietly as I could, I approached the place and opened the door as steadily with caution and behold there sat the kidnapped underaged girls. All of them were scared when they saw me with a gun in my hand, I quickly hid the gun and told them that everything was going to be alright. It took a while before they believed me.
As soon as they had calmed down, I began to ask them if there were any more girls in captive and they replied there were none. I sighed in relief as I heard that and just when I thought that getting out of here would be easy, the unexpected occurred.

All of a sudden as I was about to leave the storage room with the girls, a strange looking lady appeared standing on the door way and as soon as the girls saw her, they all screamed and ran back to the corners of the storage. The lady who was a few meters away from where I stood, glared at me murderously . She had bloodshot eyes and long claws not to mention a sinister vibe that made my spine tingle, there was no doubt that the lady in front of me is witch!

Ebiri ➡ HUMAN!!! How dare you touch the mistress’s collection?

Chris ➡ (silence)
.

Ebiri ➡ ANSWER ME!
.

Chris ➡ Go to hell.
.

Ebiri ➡ (laughs) Hell… We’re already in it. ARRRGGHH!!!
.

In that very moment, the witch screamed at me flickering her claws. She rolled out her long tongue which dripped with slimy saliva. Before the witch could assault me, I brought out my guns and fired a couple of shots at her but the witch jumped out of the way and began to scale the walls like a lizard. Seeing how fast the witch moved efficiently on the wall, I knew I was at a disadvantage so I throw everything I have at her. Just as I was about to execute my next plan of attack, the witch surprisingly jumped towards me pushing her claws forward but before she could land on me, I threw a stun grenade at her face and then fired my guns endlessly at her.
The witch didn’t get hurt much but she felt the pain and retreated in the dark corners of the factory. I was hoping this would buy me some time to get the girls out safely but I was wrong. Just seconds after the witch had retreated, red liquid substances began to appear all over the place. The red liquid gathered around looking like small tiny bolts and before I could realize what was happening, the red liquids began to spread around moving in an incredible speed. At first, I thought the liquid was harmless but one of them hit and pierced my right arm hurting me. The pain was so excruciating that I wanted to rip off my right arm completely. Whilst I was groveling in pain, the witch appeared laughing wickedly, the red liquid that were moving around emerged from her own blood stream.

Ebiri ➡ WORTHLESS FOOL, you think you can defeat me? I’m going to hurt you real bad before I kill you. Your death will be slow and brutal and once I’m done with you, I’ll enjoy every bit of your flesh as I feed on you.

Chris ➡ I will never be your meal you evil spawn. DIE!!!
.

With the remaining bullets left in my gun, I fired it all at the witch. I managed to hit the witch with 2 bullets but that wasn’t enough to take her down. Angered by the wounds, I inflicted on her, the witch yelled with raged and then rushed to where I saw picking me off effortlessly. The witch swung me around for a dew seconds before throwing me onto one of the rusted machines in the factory. I wanted to get back up to my feet but the pain I felt all around my body made me feel numb. In that moment, the witch walked up to me and marched my chest hard with her right leg.

Ebiri ➡ Look at you, pathetic! All your bravado was all for nothing.. Wa Ku Bi Eku…. (Now you’re going die like a rat)

Some people say that one’s life flashes before their eyes just as they’re about to die but my case there was nothing. I tried moving my body but I felt nothing, it was like I was trapped inside my own body. Just when I thought that I would die in the hands of the witch, something miraculous happened.
Suddenly within a blink of an eye, there was a loud rumbling sound that shook the entire place then in that same moment, something hit the witch so hard and fast that I couldn’t see how it happened , all I could feel was the impact. As the dust began to clear, I felt a strange presence behind me and as I turned around, I saw a familiar face.

Chris ➡ You… What are you doing here?
.

Rotimi ➡ Ebinoluwa said that you needed back up. Are you okay?
.

Chris ➡ Barely. That witch really knocked the wind out of me.
.

Rotimi ➡ Are the kids safe?
.

Chris ➡ Yes, they are. We need to get them out of here now. ARRRGGHH!!!
.

Rotimi ➡ What’s wrong?
.

Chris ➡ My.. arm… It hurts.
.

Rotimi ➡ Let me take a look at it.
.

Rotimi wasted no time in ripping of the hand of my body armor and immediately he saw what was causing me pain, he froze in shock. The look on Rotimi’s face was enough to show me how bad my condition was. My right hand had became red and it looked like it was rotting. There was red veins extending further into my arm like roots.

Rotimi ➡ This is bad, we need to get you to Ebinoluwa.
.

Ebiri ➡ You’re not going…. ANYWHERE!!!
.

Hearing the witch’s voice startled us instantly and in that same moment, the blood witch attacked us with everything she got. At first, I thought the witch would mope the floor with Rotimi but it turns out that the guy was a monster as well. The fight between Rotimi and the witch was brutal and bloody. The guy had strength and speed while the witch had malice and her blood magic. At first, it looked like the odds was against Rotimi but then something happened that soon turned the fight around in his favor.

Ebiri ➡ You’re strong stranger but I think I know why. Your human physique nearly fooled me but I know what you are, b-stard.

Rotimi ➡ What does it matter to you?

Ebiri ➡ You’re a demon half breed but you side along with humans? You’re nothing but a traitorous b-satrd. I’ve read your mind and I’ve seen your past! Have you forgotten what the humans did to you? You should be massacring them but instead you defend them. You’re nothing but a dog.

Rotimi ➡ SHUT UP!

Ebiri ➡ You should be grateful that you’ve been freed from your b-tch mother.

Rotimi ➡ SHUT UUUPPP!!!!

Rotimi snapped right after that statement, he went wild and furious like a rapid animal instantly. Never in my life have I seen anyone lose his mind like the way Rotimi has, he was like a beast that had been unleashed and the carnage that followed afterwards was horrible. Shortly after that statement, Rotimi charged towards the witch with incredible speed grabbing hold of her head. His strength and speed had drastically increased making him more deadlier than ever. After grabbing the witch’s head, Rotimi then bashed it hard against the wall of the factory and then brushed her face mercilessly as he ran around . Hearing the witch scream as her face got scraped on the wall sent tingles down my spine, there was bloody everywhere and the scene was just too brutal. After scraping nearly half of the witch’s face, Rotimi bashed the witch’s head hard into the wall endlessly until her head was crushed. The witch was already dead by the time Rotimi was done with her.

After the brutal ordeal was over, Rotimi stood breathing hard like a tired bull, his right hand was drenched in blood not to mention the hair of the witch he had murdered. At that moment, I decided to go and get the girls out of the storage room but before I could make a step, Rotimi’s fiendish eyes turned towards me. If looks could kill, the one on Rotimi’s face would have done that to me a hundred times over, he was really terrifying.

Chris ➡ Rotimi.. Chill okay.. Just chill.
.

Rotimi ➡ (silence)
.

Chris ➡ Just calm down. I’m sure you haven’t forgotten about the mission.
.

Rotimi said nothing to me, he just turned around, took a big long breath and then walked out of the factory. He may not have said anything but it was clear that he was back to normal.

(~ EBINOLUWA~)

The Southern part of Nigeria may not be the biggest in land mass but it’s one of the places to stay off the grid especially in regions where there are thick vegetation and tropical rain forests. Finding Ujo is this sort of place was like finding needle in a haystack but even so, there’s no way I’m giving up until I hunt that b-tch.
After flying for hours without any success, I decided to use Aunt Rose’s magic to find out Ujo’s location. As soon as I reached the ground, I casted my aunt’s magic on the shadows using them as an extended sight to see the entire forest for Ujo’s location. Feeling the power of the shadows surfed through me hard like an adrenaline boost, the sensation was incredible and raw. It’s no wonder Aunt Rose uses her magic however she wants, the power was insane. Within a matter of few seconds, I found Ujo’s location and it was hundreds of miles from where I was. Without wasting any more time, I used the shadows as a shortcut to get to Ujo’s location and within a blink of an eye, I had arrived there.
Ujo’s location was well hidden by large trees, the leaves covered the top preventing anyone from above to see what was going on down here. As I walked steadily through the place, I began to see some horrible sights, there were humans hanging up from the trees, their bodies were deformed and tortured. What broke my heart was the little children I saw at the place, they too were deformed to the extent that their human physiology was gone and the sad look on their faces showed the horror the witnessed while going through this ordeal. Before I could proceed further into the forest, I heard a small whimper behind me and as I turned around I realized one of the deformed children was still alive. After a close observation, I noticed that the deformed child was once a girl. I knelt down close to her trying to help but what happened next made me sad. The girl whose eyes was barely opening began to shed tears, she wanted to talk but she couldn’t so I used telepathy to communicate with her.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Don’t be afraid, don’t despair. I’m going to save you.
.

Deformed girl ➡ Please.. Kill me so that I can rest. Make the pain to stop please. I can’t take it anymore.
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ You don’t need to die. I’ll save you.
.

Deformed girl ➡ I don’t want to live. My parents, brother and sister are all dead. I have nothing to go back to. Please just end my misery so that I can join them. I don’t want to live alone in this world. Please.
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Okay.. Close your eyes, this won’t hurt a bit. May your soul rest in peace.
.

I don’t usually react or give in to my emotions that easily but after hearing this girl’s words, tears gathered in my eyes. I tried hard to hold them back but the tears soon rolled down my face. That Ujo! wherever she is, I’m going to make her suffer before I kill her.

{~OMNI-POV~}

Hiding in the walls of her lair, Ujo takes her time enjoying her trophies and artistic monstrosity involving human deformity. After victimizing, torturing and deforming her victims, the witch would dispose the ones she has no interest in and use petrification spells to turn the ones she likes into stone. For decades, Ujo’s petrified victims have been preserved as decorations or used as her furniture. Being deformed and petrified alive for years was a fate worst than death but like all things, the final days of Ujo’s evil acts was moments from coming to an end.
Presently as Ujo’s was busy admiring her new addition of petrified and deformed victims, one of her servants barges in on her with fear in her eyes.

Ujo ➡ Ikechi, you better have a genuine reason for this rude entry of yours.

Minion ➡ I’m sorry mistress but we have a problem.

Suddenly in that moment, the earth began tremble and shake violently as if it was going to crack open. The impact of the sudden tremor shook Ujo’s lair to it’s core that it began to fall apart. Confused and terrified by what was going on, Ujo’s flees out of her lair to see what was going on. Upon reaching outside, Ujo notices the trees around her lair acting strangely, their branches and roots were charging towards her lair like a tidal wave. Fearing what might happen next, Ujo tries to teleport but unfortunately she couldn’t. She tries even possible means of escape but her efforts were futile. Just as Ujo was about to get skewed to death, Ebinoluwa appears instantly in midair and stops the branches and roots.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Finally, I’ve found you, rat.
.

Ujo ➡ Just who do you think you are? Who are you?
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ Low life beings such as you are unworthy to hear my name. This forest will be your tomb. I’ll be sure to see to that.
.

Ujo ➡ Why don’t you get down and see if you can kill me.
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ I don’t waste my time fighting pawns like you. It’s your boss I’m interested in but since you’re here, I’m going to use you as a scape goat.
.

Ujo ➡ YOU INSOLENT B-TCH! you’re going to pay for underestimating me.
.

Angered by Ebinoluwa’s sharp tongue, Ujo jumps onto the tree branches trying to reach her but before she could get close, the young witch snaps her fingers making the branches and roots to impale her in mid air. Despite her skewed, Ujo tries her best to resist but Ebinoluwa immediately coils and traps her with the branches and roots making it impossible for her to move.

Ebinoluwa ➡ How does it feel to be victimized?
.

Ujo ➡ Please.. Have mercy…Spare me. (coughs blood)
.

Ebinoluwa ➡ You don’t deserve mercy. Time to taste your own medicine.
.

Snapping her fingers once more, Ebinoluwa unleashes a powerful lighting bolt on Ujo incinerating her instantly. As the branches and roots engulfed in flames, Ujo shouts loud in pain struggling in the fire until she died eventually.
Despite how horrible the scene was, Ebinoluwa stood and watched until Ujo was burnt to crisp. As soon as everything was over, Ebinoluwa takes her leave disappearing into the darkness. Meanwhile here in Osogbo, Evlyn who had watched everything that had transpired between Ujo and Ebinoluwa through a magical glass laughed mischievously.

Evlyn ➡ Oh that was fantastic! I never knew Ebinoluwa has this side of her. I want to see more of it.

Iyunloye ➡ Your eminence, she needs to be dealt with. We are yet to know what she’s capable of.

Evlyn ➡ Don’t worry, I’ll see that once I pay her a visit. Tell me Iyunloye, where does she hang out?
