I panicked immediately. “Liam, what are you saying?”.

“Look, Anna. Doctor Sam says that blood transfusion is needed since she has bled easily”.

“So, is something wrong? Does she need a blood donor or what?”.

“Does she have any close family?”. Doctor Sam spoke up. “Any relations?”.

I shook my head. “No. I don’t think she has any. Chloe is an orphan, thats what she tells me”.

“Oh”.

“Whats her blood type?”. I asked them out of paranoia. “Maybe I can donate for her”.

“Relax, Anna”. Liam faced him. “Sam, isn’t there a blood bank in your hospital?”.

“Well she’s O negative and its usually rare to find, I don’t think__”.

“Well find it, I don’t care about the amount, just get her blood so she can live”.

“Liam”. I held him. “What are you doing?”.

“And get on to it fast”.

The doctor nodded and he went out of the cubical immediately rather hurried though.

“Liam”. I sit up on the bed. “Do you realize how expensive that is for him to go take blood from other hospitals?”.

“So?”.

“I can pay Chloe’s bills myself”.

“Anna. Just don’t stress yourself out, she saved you from getting shot so I think this is the best way to thank her”.

“Thank you”. I whispered. “For helping me, for everything”.

“And thank you for not aborting my baby”.

I smiled in response. “Its our baby now”.

“Are you sure? I think its my baby because he will certainly look like me”.

“No way”. I refused. “Its gonna be a girl just like Lilian wants”.

“I was the one who made you pregnant so I say its a boy”.

“What if its both?”.

“Its not gonna happen”. He hurriedly said.

“Why?”. I asked him amusedly. “You don’t like the idea of me having twins?”.

“Well I do and I don’t at the same time”.

“You think that they will be troublesome?”.

“Obviously”. He replied. “And trust me they will be if they turn out to be just like Chloe”.

I laughed lightly. “Chloe isn’t all that bad if you get to know her”.

“No, thank you. I don’t want her giving me a hair cut”.

I laughed heartily as he said that. Chloe is just so good at threatening people and that is what I love about my best friend.

I watched her expression as she laughed, she does seem really beautiful though. I like the way it sounds, like music to my ears.

“Liam?”. She called snapping me out from my thoughts.

I jerked back to reality. “Yeah?”.

“When am I leaving this hospital? I’m so tired of resting on a bed”.

“Now”. I stood up. “I’ll just go call up one of the nurses to come attend to you”.

“Just stay with me”.

“Someone is missing me already”.

She rolled her eyes. “You can go already, mister”.

I chuckled lightly and stood up heading out the cubical ward. I opened the door and walk out closing it behind me. Gosh!! What a long day.

I stopped a nurse. “Excuse me Miss”.

“Sir Williams?”. She smiled widely. “How can I be of help?”.

“My wife is in the ward and I’m wondering if she can be discharged like right now”.

“Your wife?”.

My wife? Wait, what? Did I just call Anna my wide? What the hell is going on with me this days?

“Um. Yeah. Can you just go check up on her?”.

“Sure, Sir”.

I felt my phone buzzing in my pockets and brought it out walking away. I glanced at the caller’s I.D. Lucas? Why is he calling?

📲Yeah. Talk to me

📲Liam. I think I got of the thugs that shot at Chloe.

📲You did. Where you at?

📲Look, the thug mentioned that it was Nick who hired them.

📲Nicholas? Thats absurd, he can never do that. Brianna was once his girlfriend that he loved, remember?

📲Oh.

📲Lucas Knights. What did you do?

📲I kind of sent Mark to beat him up, not torture, just a few punches, thats all.

📲What the heck? Call up Mark to stop, I know Nick might be a backstabber but he’s not a murderer.

📲I already told Mark not to deal with him but Williams, the thug mentioned his name.

📲Then maybe the thug is lying. Lucas, use your brain effectively. Nick is our friend.

📲He’s not injured, he wasn’t even beaten up badly.

📲Call him to my mansion. I’ll be there in a bit.

📲Just do it, Lucas. We need to get to the bottom of this and make sure you don’t let go of that thug, got that?.

📲Yeah, sure.

I disconnected the call immediately. Gosh!! Lucas didn’t really think this one through this time around.

I slid my phone in my pocket and turned around just to see Brianna walk out of the cubical ward slowly.

“You look beautiful”.

“I don’t have to appreciate that so please lets get out of here, hospitals freak me out a lot”.

I paused. “Don’t you want to see Chloe?”.

“No. Not yet”. She shook her head. “I don ‘t want to see my best friend in a bad state”.

“Okay then”.

I grabbed her hand and intertwined our fingers together as I walked towards the main entrance of the hospital.

We walked out and I then head to my car, almost immediately, all my bodyguards all went directly to their cars which was also identical to mine for security purposes.

“Do they follow you all the time?”. Brianna asked glancing at them.

“I need the protection, Anna”.

I unlocked the car doors and we stepped in closing the doors behind us.

I glanced at Brianna. “Don’t you think you should sit at the backseat?”.

“Huh?”. She arched her eyebrows. “And why do you think I should?”.

“Well you are pregnant, Brianna. And also I really don’t want you having contractions”.

“Gosh!! Liam!!”. She laughed it off. “I’m only just four or five weeks pregnant, stop stressing yourself out”.

“Are you sure because I don’t want my baby coming out looking all mushy and ugly”.

She rolled her eyes. “Just drive, silly. The baby can never be ugly with me as her mother”.

I paused remembering those words. Trisha had told me that before about Lilian, all you need to do, Williams Paige, is to know that Brianna Anderson is different from Trisha.

“Liam?”. She snapped her fingers in front of me. “Are you okay?”.

“Yeah”. I muttered as I put the key in the ignition starting the engine immediately.

I drove off the parking lot, my thoughts suddenly leading to Trisha. I keep on wondering where the heck is she, I kept on trying to find her all those years until I finally gave up.

She left me, we were married. We took an oath to stay with each other till death but she broke the oath. She went off with her lover leaving behind her only child and for that, I never forgave her.

Lili cried day and nights because of her, I had to hire different nannies just to make my daughter happy again. If I ever see that Trisha again, I’ll make sure she regrets her actions of leaving me.

“Liam”. I felt Brianna’s arm on mine. “Are you okay?”.

“Yeah I am”.

“You are gripping the steering wheel too tight? Is something wrong?”.

I shook my head ignoring the question as I focused on the road instead. Nobody knew the pains I felt during those years, I chose to keep them hidden in,side of me.

“Liam. Are you sure that you are okay? You are driving too fast and your mansion is close”.

I screeched the car to a halt realizing that I am in front of my mansion already. The gates opened and I drove in smoothly. I guess now I just have to deal with the pain of raising Lili all by myself.

I unlocked the car doors and stepped out, Brianna came out as well. I looked at the driveway, Nick’s car was there along with Lucas’s car too.

I held Brianna’s hand as we walked to the main door. Lucas and Nick in one place is what I would not like to see, they are only friends because of me and I do know that.

I stepped in to see Lucas sitting on couch sipping drink from a wineglass quietly while Nick kept on ranting but Lucas didn’t even pay him any attention.

Brianna paused. “Nick?”.

His eyes quickly went to us holding hands and then Brianna removed her hands from mine immediately. Oh yeah, I forgot that he dated her before but does she still like him like he still likes her? I hope not.

“So why was I called here?”.

“I need to speak with you”. I spoke up. “I am sorry for what Lucas did to you”.

“Really?”. He let out a scoff. “Or was I called here just to get another round of beatings again?”.

“Nick. I’m sure it was a misunderstanding”.

“Misunderstanding? Williams, if you had not try to talk to Lucas then maybe he would have probably killed me”.

“And I wish I killed you”. Lucas stood up facing him.

“Okay, the both of you calm down. I don’t want you two having any issues here”.

Lucas sighed facing Brianna. “Congrats on your pregnancy, I heard you didn’t abort it any longer”.

“Thanks”. She muttered in response.

“Wait, you are pregnant?”. Nick asked her surprised. “For who?”.

“What kind of question is that?”. Lucas told him off. “She’s pregnant for Williams”.

“We don’t know for sure since I have also been intimate with her as well”.

I stared at him and wish there was now a cure for stupidity. I take back everything I said, Lucas should have killed him.
