CHAPTER 12&13

( HER KNIGHT )

A camera fell beside the river, and someone jumped in immediately.

He started swimming fast towards drowning JoJo, his face became clearer and clearer as he got closer, and when it became totally clear, it turned out to be Draco.

He finally got to JoJo and slipped his right arm on her tummy from behind, pulling her to himself before starting to swim out.

His back hurts like crazy, and the holes even started bleeding as water penetrated into them.

He carried her in his arms in a bridal style and walked out of the water, then he dropped her gently on the shore.

He coughed as he released heavy breaths continuously, then he held her cheeks and started shaking her.

“Hey JoJo!, JoJo!” He called, still releasing heavy breaths.

His white shirt was already soaked with blood on his back, and the pains he’s feeling right now can probably kill.

He saw his necklace on her neck and didn’t hesitate to remove it.

He kept it in his pocket before pressing two hands on her stomach, trying to get the water she has gulped out of her.

She vomited water immediately, then she coughed out loudly, breathing back to life.

Draco took a deep breath before sitting beside her.

JoJo opened her eyes slowly, and when she saw the morning sun up in the sky, her eyes w¡dened more.

‘Why am I still alive?, How did it happen?’ she thought, taking sharp breaths, and that was when she sensed a presence beside herself.

She sat up slowly, only to see a guy with a bloody back, sitting beside her.

“Who….are…you?” She asked, and Draco stood before facing her.

“Draco Klein?” She said shockingly, recognizing the demigod of her department.

He kept looking at her without talking, and she stood quickly.

“You… brought me out of the water?” She asked, looking at his w-t clothes.

“Wanna jump back in?” he said expressionlessly, and she scoffed.

“Why the hell wound you save me when I didn’t ask for it just why!!!” She shouted loudly.

He ignored her and started walking to his camera.

He picked it and sighed when he saw it has cracked in another place again as a result of how he threw it down to save JoJo.

All the cracks on it were all because of her.

He’d have gotten another camera, but he cherishes this particular one so much cos it was Angel’s last gift to him before her death.

He put it on to check if it’ll come on, and luckily it did, it’s an originally strong one so it won’t get destroyed easily.

He made to start walking away, but JoJo blocked him instantly.

“Why did you save me?, You haven’t answered my question” she said, and he gave an indecipherable look before speaking.

“Because I lost my senses that moment”

“Huh?”

“Yeah, now that I think about it, i should have let you drown and die” he replied emotionlessly, and tears rolled down JoJo’s eyes.

“I didn’t ask to be saved!!!” She cried like a kid.

“If suicide solves every problem then I should be dead right now” He said gently

“But you’re not me!, My nude was posted with my own account!, How do you expect expect me to walk around freely after that!, How!!!” She s¢ræmed.

“Your dad might be a bastard who cares less about you but you still didn’t think about your mum?, It’s f*cking senseless!” He shouted unintentionally, and her eyes w¡dened.

“How did you know about my…my family”

“Get back to your senses” he said, ignoring her question.

He turned back and started walking away, his back has became more bloody, and the white shirt is perfectly showcasing it.

Jojo fell on her knees weakly, staring at his backside till he entered his car and drove off.

She started loudly, her tears dropping on the ground.

DRACO’S UNIT**

Draco came in and dropped his camera on the bed before taking off his bloody w-t shirt.

He took off his pants too since it’s also w-t, then he bandaged his back and changed into shorts and a sweatshirt.

He had actually gone to the mansion to see Aurora, and he’d have stayed longer but when she heard he has a 9 o’clock class, she told him to leave for class and come back later.

He noticed the river when he was driving back, and he couldn’t resist the urge to snap some pictures beside it, that was why he came out of his car to do that.

He was on it when he saw JoJo walking towards the river, she jumped in in front of him.

He didn’t hesitate to throw down his camera and jump into the water to save her.

He sighed and got his camera from the bed before entering his studio.

Various pictures of nature were hanged on the wall.

He sat and started processing the ones he snapped today, and when they finally came out, he took them and started hanging them on the wall, then he remembered the shocked expression on her face when he talked about her family.

He actually eavesdropped on her when she was talking to Butter in an empty class the other time.

“Y’ALL HAVE RICH PARENTS, BUT ALL I HAVE IS AN HATEFUL FATHER WHO DOESN’T CARE WEATHER I BREATHE!, MY MUM BORROW LOANS TO TAKE CARE OF ME!”

Her helpless pitiful voice rang in his ears, and he dropped the remaining picture with him.

He sat and closed his eyes for long, and when he opened it, he got the necklace and fixed it on his neck, opening the locket to k-s Angel’s face.

His phone beeped, it’s a message from his informant… Viola.

*THE MARIO TRIPLETS AREN’T COMING TO CALI SOON, THEY FLEW TO CAMEROON THIS MORNING*

He finished reading the message and smirked.

Mario triplets are the three sons of Mayor Mario, they’re the prime suspect concerning Angel’s rape.

He joined mystic cult because of them, just to get trained and kill them brutally.

They left California since the rape case last year, and he definitely can’t wait for them to come back.

They’ll be the last people he’d kill.

He checked the school blog and saw that the nude picture is still there, then he dialled Viola’s line.

“What’s up demigod!, Did you see my message?” The tomboy said in a tomboyish tone when she picked.

“I did, but can you hack into the school blog and take down the nude picture?, Hack into every social media it was shared to and bring it down, then plant a virus on every phone that saved it and have it wiped off, Also I need you to find out who hacked her account to post it” he said.

“Okay dude!, On it!” Viola replied and hung up.

Draco dropped his phone, and JoJo’s teary face appeared in his head again.

He stood and left the room immediately.

STANFORD UNIVERSITY★ 10:30AM**

Butter was already getting impatient even before the first class ended, and immediately Prof Yoshi rounded up, he was the first to leave the class.

Luckily, it’s their only class for today so he’s free.

The picture is still trending like wildfire, and it’s the talk of everyone in school as he rushed to the park.

He was about to enter his car when Snow appeared.

“Butter!”

He turned swiftly to get.

“Snow Denmark?”

“Do you know any hacker?, that picture should be taken down” she said, sniffing silently.

“Did you cry?” Butter asked surprisingly.

“Do you know any hacker?” She asked again.

“Yeah, I’ll take care of it don’t worry” he replied and entered his car, driving away roughly.

Snow wiped the tear that almost fell from her eyes, thinking about JoJo.

Truly, she ignores and acts like she hates her, but deep in,side her, JoJo is the only one she feels connected with in the whole school, and that was because she was once bullied like her for being ugly…in highschool.

She went under the knife to be as pretty as she is today. Plastic surgery.

BUTTER’S UNIT**

James rushed in and met Butter pacing around the living room restlessly, looking at his phone.

“Did you find an hacker already?” He asked.

“No, I seriously can’t find any” Butter replied quickly.

“I found one, but his price is too exorbitant” James replied.

“I don’t care James, tell him to start work immediately” Butter replied, and James got his phone to call the hacker, then he saw the picture is already down.

“It has been taken down” he said, and Butter rushed to check.

When he saw it’s true, he inhaled, falling on the couch.

“Gawd” he muttered, closing his eyes in relief.

“But… why do you seem so concerned?” James asked.

Without replying, Butter stood and walked into his room.

“What’s wrong with him?” James muttered.

SUNFLOWERS UNIT**

“The picture is down!” Cora suddenly said, and the other girls quickly rushed to check.

“It’s really down, but we still have it saved on our phones, let’s start reposting” v×rgiπia replied.

“Was just about to say that” Abigail laughed, and when they made to start reposting, their phones suddenly stopped working.

“What’s happening” Cora said as their screens turned white.

“Virus?, Shit!, We’ll lose the picture!” v×rgiπia spat, throwing her phone away angrily.

“But…who could have posted it?” Abigail wondered loudly.

“And Snow must pay for what she did today” v×rgiπia smirked.

LOVERBOYZ UNIT**

“The picture is finally down” Luke said, entering the music room.

“Really?” Walton replied.

He was holding the guitar, ready to start playing it.

“Sure, and I heard it was taken down from all the media it was shared to, then those who saved it on their phones got viruses” Luke replied.

“The hacker must be pretty good,, but I’m so full of pity for JoJo” Walton replied.

“Me too” Luke pouted, and Walton stood, walking closer to him.

“Pout again” he said.

“Wh…wh… why?” Luke stuttered.

“You looked cuter with a pout” Walton replied, and Luke moved backwards immediately.

His leg hit the piano stand and he was already falling when Walton pulled him back by the shoulders.

Immediately his hand touched Luke’s body, he looked straight into his eyes.

How can a guy’s body be so soft???

Luke quickly detached himself from him and rushed out of the room.

Walton looked at his hand and bit his lip.

“Am I going crazy?”

His phone dinged, he checked and saw a message from Lustre.

*I’M SORRY I WON’T BE COMING FOR THE NIGHT REHEARSAL, I’M SLIGHTLY SICK*

“Sick?, Why?” Walton said and dialled his line immediately.

COLLINS RESIDENCE★ 7PM**

“JoAnn!!!” Victoria s¢ræmed in shocking excitement when JoJo came into the house.

She rushed to her and hugged her so tight, almost making her fall.

“Mummy” JoJo muttered sorrowfully, hugging her back.

She has been at the Riverside since Draco left her there.

“My baby” Victoria sniffed, shedding tears of joy.

Ignatius only opened the door for her this morning.

She got sick with flu, after getting drenched in the rain, she has almost cried out her eyes.

“Mummy I’m sorry” JoJo cried too, hugging her tighter.

“Where have you been?” Victoria hiccupped, stroking her hair affectionately.

“Somewhere silent where I can blow away my worries” she replied, letting her tears w-t Victoria’s blouse.

“Why are you crying? Did something bad happen?” Victoria asked.

JoJo knew immediately that she didn’t see the picture, and she’s somehow happy about that.

She quickly wiped her tears and broke the hug.

The plaster on her head is gone with the water, so her hair is hiding her wound right now.

“I just felt suffocated by dad…that’s why I… decided not to come home last night” she lied, and Victoria hugged her again.

“It’s all my fault, for birthing you to such a monster”

THIRTY MINUTES LATER**

After forcing herself to eat he dinner just to make Victoria happy, JoJo retired to her room, feeling so sorrowful and sad.

The food didn’t even digest, so she entered the bathroom and dipped her finger into her throat, vomiting it all immediately.

She walked back to the room weakly and sat on the ground after plugging her phone.

She’s sure it was done by Kent since the picture was snapped in his bathroom.

She’d surely not go to school anymore, she can’t face the humiliation again.

The whole of California saw her nudeness when she’s not a p–nstar, hot tears ran down her glassy eyes, and her phone buzzed on the bedstand where she placed it on, seems it got some percent of battery.

She stretched her shaky hand to it and unplugged the charger from the port before taking it.

She fearfully put it on, and she was surprised that the trending news is not on her news preview.

She sniffed and quickly checked the blog, the picture is down!

Her eyes w¡dened cos It was taken down from all the social medias too, and all those who have the picture got virus.

She stood as she stared shockingly at it, swallowing hærd.

“Who did this for me?, Who?”

A message popped up from Secret-room, and she wiped her tears as she checked it out.

FIREFIGHTER: What’s up pretty Mimi

Though she’s not in the right mood to smile, she felt a smile on her l-ips as she typed a reply.

MIMI: What advise would you give to someone who feels like the whole world is against her?

FIREFIGHTER: At least, don’t go against yourself, believe in yourself and thrive to make yourself happy again, eat well, sleep well and look good as if you don’t care about anyone… You’re what you need to make yourself happy.

She felt her tears drying up after reading that message, but when she noticed something, her eyes w¡dened.

The necklace is gone!

She dropped her phone on the bed and rushed downstairs.

Luckily, Victoria is asleep already, so she was unaware of when she left the house.

She started running to the Riverside since it seems she lost it there.

Her determination to find it was so strong that she got there within fifteen minutes.

She was panting for breath as she stood beside the calm river.

She went on her knees and started searching for the necklace with her palms .

‘I can’t lose it, I can’t’ she thought, searching more desperately.

Draco’s car is not far from the river, he’s in,side it, sleeping peacefully.

Since he found the river in the morning, he just loves the calmness surrounding it, that’s why he came again tonight.

He opened his eyes shortly when he saw someone by the Riverside, searching the ground frantically for something.

He stopped playing the guitar and started staring at the familiar figure.

JoJo finally stood when she couldn’t find it, she concluded that it’s in the river.

She started walking closer to it, and Draco came out of the car.

JoJo kept moving closer to the water till she dipped her legs in.

She was about to jump in to search for it when Draco got to her and held her back by the right hand.

She faced him, and the first thing her eyes caught was the necklace on his neck.

Her eyes w¡dened, cos the smell of rain and steel filled her nose immediately.

“You’re gonna jump in again?” He said gently, and she immediately looked into his eyes.

The shore lights shone brightly into them, and she saw no difference in the eyes she’s looking at right now and the eyes of the one who saved her that night.

She quickly held the necklace pendant before inhaling his scent again, then she looked back into his eyes.

“My knight in shining armor” she whispered, and his eyes w¡dened.
