I got to go now. I scent the king is coming” Mum said, just then the door opened. .

My eyes w¡dened as we glared at each other. “Who were you looking at?”His husky voice brings me back to reality.

That’s when I realized mum as vanished. So quick, I thought he saw her. I took a deep breath. And the question what will I say.

“I don’t want to look at you, Because I am seriously angry right now. How could you lock me down like a slave? Have you become so heartless that you couldn’t consider your very own sister not an outsider “I said without looking at him.

“I am not here for chit chatting, I came to ask some questions and I need the right answer”He said and walked down in.

“What are you here for? Are you trying to interrogate me, for what reasons? “Princess Avalon asked.

“The flame”He uttered. Is he trying to asked about flame? If that’s so, what will I tell him?

“I don’t understand you, what flame are you talking about”I asked.

“Hmm”He cleared his throat before making an utterance.

“What did you know about the flame?”He asked glaring at me dangerously.

“I don’t know what you are talking about, I only swallow the flame because I know it’s disastrous”I replied.

But he glare at me, which means he’s uncertain about my reply. But I will just wait for him to ask another question.

“Then how come you know it’s disastrous? I am the king and I have no idea about that, so why you? You seems to know so much”He asked in an husky voice.

That question caught me off guard. I wasn’t expecting it. How do I answer his questions? How did I know? Mum told me.

But he must not know we are in touch with each other. How do I explain this? Should I just cook up some lies. Or I should try to distract him.

An idea stuck me.

“Aiden why are you asking me so much question? Are you really suspecting me? I will never do anything to hurt you.

You are my one and only brother. So why would I want yo hurt you? “I said just to begin with.

“Stop pretending, answer my question. How do you know that?”He asked and this time, I think he’s not joking at all.

“I knew because I once heard from someone. And why are you asking? Was it a big deal. I saved many life’s, wasn’t that cool”I said in reply to his questions. “Are you really sure of this?”He asked.

“Yes, I am sure. Please bro stop doubting me. I will never try to harm you? trust me”I said walking closer to him.

“Better be careful”He warned.

“King do you heard anything about Lee, I heard he’s going back abroad ?”I asked about my fiance.

“Why are you do concern, you call off your marriage with him, he has to move on. Not only that he will be leaving. But his parent want him to get married before he leaves.

And they want me to find the bride, It was all your fault and nonchalant attitude”He said In a cold way.

Was he actually going to find him a bride.

“Are you going to that. Will you really want to get him married?”I asked trying to control myself.

“Yes, I am the king and that’s what is expected of me. Don’t think too much.

I am not going to announce you to be his wife”He replied.

I wanted to break down in tears. But I just try to be strong.

“Why do you look shocked and down. You played with his emotions”He uttered.

That alone makes me sad.

“But he should atleast told me about this. He will be getting married and I am unaware. That’s not good”I stammered.

“What was that? Are you his guidance and who are you to tell him what to do.

You call off you marriage just few days to the occasion without a good reason. Not even a genuine excuse and you are here spitting rubbish. What do you think of yourself”He asked with a straight look.

I couldn’t give him a reply. Was it for my own selfish interest. No, I think that’s just what I needed to sacrifice for belonging to the royal family.

“Okay, but can you please choose the Person I asked you to choose for him” I said and he glare at me.

“Are you for real? Are you so shameless?” He asked.

“I am sorry brother but this is the only way to see he is safe, I am very sure Helen won’t disappoint me. I know she will take care of him. Please brother choose Helen to be his partner” Princess Avalon said with tears in her eyes.

King Aiden was so disappointed In her.

“I thought you will want to go back to him. I knew you to always love him so much. I know how much you care about him, But you just change towards him.

You have now turned to a big girl that you can handles things on your own, right?

But I will never do what you want. What will they think of me if I announced your personal maid is to be his wife? Have you lost it?” He thundered.

“Yes I have lost it, I know I am not important to him again, but I will be happy if this last wish is granted.

I will have to speak with him, please brother can you allow me to go out and see him” She pleaded on her knee.

King Aiden looks so restless with the way she shed tears.

“I won’t allow you to go out but I will invite him over. If you love him as you always claimed better you ask him for another chance before his too late” The king advised and head towards the door.

“When should I be expecting him, he’s not picking my calls” She asked.

“Tomorrow, he will be here to see you” King Aiden uttered and went out.

Princess Avalon breaks down in tears. Helen ran in,side.

“My princess how are you? The king told me to come in,side? Are you okay? I have missed you in just few hours. Why are you crying” Helen asked cuddling her.

Princess Avalon try to pull herself together but couldn’t She pull her into a bone breaking hug.

“Helen if you are giving a chance to travel to America will you be happy?” She asked releasing the hug.

“What are you saying my princess? I can never leave you, even if you leave this palace I will follow you to anywhere you go” She said holding her hand.

“What if I asked you to leave, will you?” Princess Avalon asked.

“I won’t and why will you want me to leave. I thought you love me so much, did I offended you? No, right?”She asked nodding her head negatively.

“Please can you get married to Lee?”She asked. She dropped her hand immediately and move back. “No, I won’t do that”She nodded her head moving backward.

“Why? please do this for me. Please I Know you can take good care of him. I don’t want him to regret it because of me.

Please do this for me. This is the least I am asking for you” Princess Avalon joined her both hands together.

“My princess, why are you doing this to yourself. I know how much you love Lee.

I know how you are always glaring at his pictures all night.

I never understood why you call off your marriage but I know you have a good reason for that.

But me getting married to someone who belongs to you is out of it. I can’t do that.

You and Lee love each other and I am not ready to get in between you both”Helen said nodding her head negatively.

“Please I don’t want Lee to go to another lady. I prefer you being with him than getting married to someone else.

I will be most grateful if you can do this for me. This is the first and the last favor I will ask you.

Please, Helen, marry him. I know he will take good care of you. I know I hurt him but please I can’t leave without completing my undone job”She pleaded standing up.

“You are making me restless my princess. Please don’t do this, Lee is yours. I might fall in love with him if he marries me.

I don’t want to take what belongs to you neither did I want to be a burden to him “Helen said resting on the wall.

Princess Avalon walked closer to her.

” Please do this for me. I am sure Lee will take good care of you. You know most of his behaviors right? You grew up with us, after me no girl understands him except you.

Please I want to see him get married to a good girl, someone as pure as you are”Princess Avalon sobbed holding her hands.

“Princess, why are you doing this to yourself? why are you selling out your love, the man of your dream to a maid like me?

Why?” Helen hugged her crying.

A knock came on her door.

“Could that be him? I should call Helen she may have seen the person coming into my room”She thought.

She wanted to pass a call when king Aiden’s call came in. She picks it up immediately.

“This is your chance to ask for his forgiveness. Behave and don’t ruin things”He uttered and hang the call.

“Lee is here” She muttered and quickly hid his picture.

She went into the bathroom to wash her face. She arrange her hair and went towards the door.

She finally open the door, Lee was standing there with his hand on his back.

She wanted to hug him but composed herself.

“You are welcome” She bows her head slightly as he enters the room.

She closes the door and walks closer to him.

“Lee why will you do that?”She asked hurriedly.

” Why not will I do what? Well, I am not here for much talk, King said you wanna see me.

Let’s talk like responsible people, I have many things to attend to”He said and went to sit on the sofa with his legs crossed on each other.

“Okay, Well how have you been?”She asked scratching her head sitting a bit far from him.

He scoffed. “Do you care, well I have been doing well of late. I think you can see that I have moved on and left those memories behind.

Let’s go to the main deal, I hate people beating around the bush, be smart” He uttered with a straight look.

“You’ve changed so much. Now cold and rude. Why haven’t you been picking up my calls of late”She asked.

“Because I have something important to do with my life, I can’t just be picking some unnecessary calls that won’t add a little value to me.

And why will I want to pick up your calls? Why are you so full of yourself? You played with my emotions and didn’t care how I was able to make it.

You call off our marriage and you keep calling and messaging me all the time. For what?

She fumbles with her fingers.

“Lee takes a chill pill, you are yelling too much and it doesn’t suit you.

When you talk about moving on, I was relaxed but shouting won’t do us any favors.

He also stood up and hugged her from behind.

Please don’t leave me again, I might die”He uttered still holding her tightly.

Princess Avalon wanted the closeness more but she just have to let go.

“Are you being real, you don’t want to come back to me. Then why do you invite me over here, why?”He breaks down.

“I am sorry but I called you here to know if you are happy with this marriage. And I also want to be of help even if this is the last thing I can do to see you are happy” She said without looking at him.

“Can you say that to my eyes, just face me, look into my eyes, and said you are happy because I will be getting married to a total stranger that I know nothing about?

“I can’t see through your pains again. I am not the Avalon you know very well, she now behaves like a Princess.

But now she realized she’s royal and has become so selfish.

He wipes his tears and rose to his feet.

I just want to see you are safe with the person you will plan a family with”She said still sitting on the floor.

“I must say you are going crazy. I refused to do that” He thundered and head towards the door.

Lee stopped and walked towards her.

You know nothing goes for free my dear. I want you but you said is over. So before I can listen to my ex, she needs to promise me something in return”He uttered back to his cold self.

“Bring your ear closer, “He said as a grin played by the corner of his mouth. She brought her ear closer to him.

He whispered something and k!$sed her cheek.

“No, Lee you can’t do this. Have you changed that much?”She asked weeping.

Princess Avalon couldn’t stop glaring at him.

“Don’t glare too much, you might fall in love again. Just do as I asked of you. Will be waiting for Princess Avalon.

He makes his way towards the exit.

“Why are they both given me conditions” She weeps.

Queen Dylan walked in.

Awww! see this poor girl needs assistance. Well is cool we’ve been released.

You must be heartbroken Lee didn’t listen to you.

Stop behaving like a boss lady and have some sense. You keep badmouthing everyone but you are the worst.

That’s the game of royalty”Queen Avalon laughed hysterically.

She bent to her level and laugh.

“Hey leave my friend alone, how dare you make her cry”Twinkle barged in and pushed her to the floor.

“You, how dare you”Queen Dylan tried to release fire on her but Princess Avalon makes it hanging.

“I refuse you to hurt her. What do you think of yourself”She yelled and stand up?

“Since you are here savior, I won’t leave without leaving a fight. I will set her right”Queen Dylan control the sword on Avalon’s table and directed it to Twinkle.

“No” Princess Avalon pushed her and took the sword for her.
