CHAPTER 10
Richærd was at home in the evening after school, he received a call from Chloe, he looked at it and reluctantly picked up. “Hello Richærd.” Chloe said
“Yes, whats wrong?” Richærd asked.
“Whats wrong? For calling you? Anyways where are you?” Chloe asked.
“Where else will I be if not home.” Richærd said
“Why didn’t you come and see me today in school, I waited for you in my class but you didn’t show up, I waited in the cafeteria still I didn’t see you, or were you not in school today?” Chloe asked.
“I was in school but I was busy.” Richærd said.
“What were you busy with or rather who were you busy with?” Chloe asked.
“Is this why you called me? Am hanging up I have an important call to make.” Richærd said and hung up.
Richærd was about to leave the class the following day when he bumped into Chloe at the entrance of his class. “Richærd, we need to talk.” Chloe said. Richærd looked at her and walked away and Chloe followed behind him. He stopped when he got down from the stairs and Chloe stood before him. “Richærd, why are you suddenly avoiding me, why did you hung up on me yesterday? And what did you say? You have an important call to make, so my call isn’t important anymore right? Tell me why are you giving me this attitude?” Chloe asked angrily.
“Do you really want to know? Well, I don’t want you anymore, am done with you, am with someone else now, so let’s go our separate ways.” Richærd said.
“What did you just say? You are done with me? Are u___.”
“Richærd.” Lucia called and interrupted Chloe. She was going to the class when she saw the both of them at the stairs. Chloe looked at her with disgust. “Is she the one? The other person you are dating? Is she the reason why you are breaking up with me?” Chloe asked.
“Richærd, whats going on?” Lucia asked
“And how is it ur business? You just stay quiet.” Chloe said.
“Lucy, let’s go.” Richærd said and held Lucia’s hand. “Don’t you dare walk out on me, Richærd.” Chloe drew Richærd back. “What do you take me for? Huh? Do you think you can just dump me and go for someone else, never, am never going to let that happen.” Chloe yelled angrily and some students passing bye was looking at them.
“Hey, Chloe, he said he isn’t interested in you anymore, why don’t you just let him go, besides have you forgotten he also dumped someone else for you.” Lucia said. Chloe went close to her and slapped her. “I told you to stay out of this and keep quiet.” Chloe said.
“Chloe, have you gone crazy?” Richærd asked.
“No, not yet, you just wait until I get really crazy.” Chloe said and walked away.
“Lucy, are you okay? Am really sorry.” Richærd apologized.
“Am okay and you don’t have to be sorry, it’s okay.” Lucia said and they both went back to their class.
The next day, Richærd asked Lucia to have lunch with him and she accepted, they walked to the cafeteria and took a table. While eating, Richærd took Lucia’s hand in his, she rolled her eyes from left to right to make sure no one was looking at them. “Lucy, please be my girlfriend, I broke up with Chloe as promised and have changed, so please.” Richærd said
“Am sorry, I can’t yet, Am still not sure if you have really changed, what if after a month you dump me the way you dumped other girls.” Lucia said
“No, I have really changed, I can’t do dat to u.” Richærd said
“Sorry, but I still have to think it through.” Lucia said and withdraw her hand from Richærds. “I have to go.” She said and left the cafeteria.
Two dats later, Richærd got to school, when he entered the school compound, the students were staring at him and murmuring and also looking at their cell phones. Richærd didn’t understand why they were all looking at him, he ignored them and headed to his class. Lucia was sitting in the class reading a novel when a student rushed in and told them to check the latest article on the school information group. Everyone took out their phones and started searching. Betty and Vivian also rushed to Lucia and they showed the article to her. Lucia was shocked, the class became noisy, everyone was talking about the article, Richærd entered the class and all eyes fell on him, he became curious why everyone was looking at him. Lucia stood up and walked to him, she dragged him by the hand wrist and they left the class. She dragged him pass the lobby and the students were staring at them. Richærd became even more curious. “Where are we going? And why is everyone staring at me?” He asked. Lucia didn’t respond to him and took him to the storage room. She took out her phone and showed the article to Richærd. He looked at it and read out. A Playboy in hiddenville school That was the heading of the article.
“Guess who he is? His name is Richærd Padilla, he is a heart breaker and a player, he has used and dumped about seven girls in hiddenville school, he breaks the heart of these female students and due to that, most of the girls are now emotionally unstable, which is making their grades dropping, because of his looks, he toyed with the feeling of the female students In hiddenville, and these students are now doing poorly in class because of him. Richærd Padilla has been transferred from different schools because of these and now hiddenville girls has fallen victim to him, who knows how many more girls will fall victim to him if he continue Schooling at hiddenville. TRANSFER THE PLAYBOY.” Richærd finish reading and gave the phone back to Lucia and wanted to leave. “Where are you going to?” Lucia stopped him.
“I know who is behind this.” Richærd said
“Who is it?” Lucia asked.
“It’s Chloe.” Richærd said.
“So what are you planning to do? Are you planning to go and confront her?” Lucia asked.
“Obviously.” Richærd said
“No, you won’t do that, let’s go back to the class for now.” Lucia said and they went back to the class……..
