Alexa p.o.v

“says who someone said and wrap his or her hand on my wa-ist.

am sure it’s a man I turned back and open my mouth in shocked.

“Khalid” I whisper. he lean closer to me and whisper. “play along am only trying to save your sorry Ass”

I smile to myself Khalid has been very caring to me and my daughter that’s one of the reasons i fall in love with him.

“who’s he?” my elder brother asked. I wanted to reply him but khalid beat me to it.

“her boyfriend any problem with that?” “this is unbelievable how can you stoop so low to date someone like this you’re a very handsome guy you shouldn’t be seen with someone like her” derrick said and Khalid smile.

“thank goodness you knew am more handsome than you’re and am very sorry to say Mr you’re a fool.

why insulting your own younger sister I am really ashamed of you. i shouldn’t be seen with a man like you cause you behave like a p*ssy and get this straight to your skull this should be the last time you bully my girlfriend i dont want to see you near her cause if she told me you stop her and insult her I will surely deal with me.

“yes I replied her” Beatrice have told me Alot about you am derrick fiance” she said and hug me.

oh actually Beatrice is my younger sister she’s the only one that loves and care for me in the family.

derrick pushed her to himself. “Vivian i said she’s a nobody because I don’t want to see you with her she’s a bad luck” derrick said.

“but she’s your sister” Vivian replied with a pout . “Did I introduce her to you as my sister?” derrick asked.

“it’s a pity a Beautiful lady like you fall in the wrong hand this guy here is not good for you” Khalid said.

mum Walked to her car angrily. “derrick meet me in the car” she said and derrick drag Vivian.

Vivian stylishly put a card on my hand and whisper I will see you later make sure you call me at have something to discuss with you”

“Thanks for saving me” I said and he pass Me a smile. he cleans his hand on his cloth. “Alexa” he called.

“yes” I replied. “don’t let those people you called a family to bully you you’re perfect in your own way” he said.

“hey I will see you later in the house I don’t wanna missed this beautiful lady” he said and ran to the lady.

derrick is right no man will love a single mother like me.

Khalid p.o.v

“Alexa is a strong woman she’s really going through Alot I knew she loves me but I can’t date her cause I am not ready for commitment.

I can’t give her what she wants. I don’t wanna hurt her. I prefer being her friend than to date her cause I knew I will hurt her.

and she came out from a bad family. I wish I see the bas***d that got her pregnant without looking back I will have teach him some lessons cause no one hurt my friends and go Scott free.

“Hey beautiful how are you?” Khalid asked the lady he ran to meet.

“Am doing good handsome” the lady replied with a smile.

“Am Khalid can I know you better?” Khalid asked. “my pleasure am caro she replied.

“oh caro you have a very beautiful name” Khalid said and the lady smile happily.

“Actually my house isn’t far from here am thinking” the lady didn’t allow him to finished the statement.

she placed her finger on his l-ips to stop him.

“Handsome men don’t talk too much I understand you perfectly” the lady said.

“Wow you’re so sharp” Khalid said. “yeah shall we? did you came with your car?” the lady asked.

“no I don’t have a car” Khalid replied. “Alright we can go with mine” the lady said.

“Alright where is your car key? ” Khalid asked. and the lady gave him her car key.

“such a gentle guy” the lady said. the drive to Khalid apartment is awkward the lady decide to start up a conversation. “Khalid what did you do for a living?” the lady asked.

“oh I am a gym instructor” Khalid replied. “oh that’s not bad but I can help you get a better job” the lady said. “oh thanks I don’t need it am okay with my work” Khalid replied.

Alexa Walked into her apartment and slump on the sofa.

“what happen to you?” jack asked. “mum and derrick” Alexa replied sadly.

“not again where did you see them or did they call you on phone?” jack asked.

“no I saw them at the grocery store” Alexa replied.

“Mum I want to go and play with uncle Khalid” Kim said.

“are you going there with this ball?” jack asked.

“yes uncle Khalid promise to teach me how to play ball very well” Kim said.

“Kim it late go back to your room” Alexa said.

“Alexa let her go this is just 6:34” jack said. “Alright you can go” Alexa said.

“thanks uncle jack I love you” Kim said and rushed out.

“she get into Khalid apartment and knock at his door.

“who is there?’ Khalid said. “it’s me Kim” Kim replied.

“uncle Khalid isn’t at home” Khalid said. “but this is uncle Khalid voice now” Kim said.

“no it’s his younger brother voice” Khalid replied. “alright open the door I will wait for him open the door” Kim said.

“open the door for the little girl, she’s here to see you” the lady said.

“you don’t know, Kim” Khalid replied. “what happen to her, she’s here to play with you” the lady said.

“ignore her, let go back to what we are doing” Khalid replied.

“uncle Khalid brother, am still waiting” Kim said. “go, he will come and check on you, when he comes back, am busy I can’t open the door for you right now” Khalid replied.

“don’t worry I will wait outside for her” Kim replied. “which kind of girl is this, she just love frustrating my life, anyway I really love her like that, but she always come at the wrong time.

“Alright wait for him” I replied. “you mean you won’t open the door, for the poor girl” the lady asked.

“yes let go to my room” Khalid replied and dragged the lady to her room.

“Kim on the other hand, is outside playing with her ball alone, she played until she get tired.

she dropped the ball and sat near Khalid door, she slept off. few minutes later.

“are you sure?” jack asked. “yes am hundred percent sure, jack am tired of trying to pleased those who doesn’t love me” Alexa said.

“people that doesn’t love you, like Khalid I guess” jack said.

“don’t ever say that again, I love Khalid am not talking about him, am talking about my family” Alexa replied.

“Khalid doesn’t love you, there are many guys that can kill to have you, out there” jack said. “like who?” Alexa asked.

“they’re many” jack replied. “jack you knew no reasonable man have come to ask me out since I gave birth to Kim, I think my brother is right with what he said this evening” Alexa said.

“what did he say?” jack asked. “he said no man will get married to a single mother like me” Alexa said.

“don’t mind derrick, you and I know he’s not okay” jack said. “let me mind him, Khalid told me, he doesn’t love me because I am a single mother, is it a crime to be a single mother, is it my fault that I am a single mother.

“very sure trust me” Alexa replied. “Alright, oh less I forget, Sandra is coming back tommorow” jack said.

“oh that talkative I missed her Alot, and am sure Kim also missed her, cause they’re partner in crime” Alexa said.

“Yeah you’re right, goodnight, I will see you tomorrow and make sure you take care of yourself, for me and Kim” jack said and peck Alexa cheek.

“Alright be a good boy, mummy loves you” Alexa said and jack burst into laughter.

“you doesn’t have respect for your elders, do you?” jack said.

“you might be older than me, but am a woman, that automatically makes me your mother” Alexa replied.

“Alright I have heard you, I don’t have time to Argue with you, cause I knew I won’t win” jack said.

Khalid open the door of his apartment, and sleeping Kim fall flatly in,side his sitting room.

“oh my poor baby” Khalid said and carry her to the sitting room. “what happens to her?” the lady asked Khalid, when she see Kim in his hand.

“nothing” Khalid replied. “oh such a cutie, I wish I have a daughter like her, the lady said.

“yeah, she’s beautiful and sweet” Khalid said. “where’s her mother?” the lady asked.

“she’s in her apartment” Khalid replied. “oh this girl really like you” the lady said.

“yes she do, but she loves frustrating me” Khalid said. “you’re funny, how can this small girl frustrate you?” the lady asked.

“you don’t know Kim” Khalid replied. “so when are you going home?” Khalid asked.

“it’s late you don’t expect me to go home by this time of the night” the lady replied.

“I know am just pulling your leg” Khalid said. “better I will go back home first thing tomorrow morning, cause I have a lot of work to do at work” the lady replied.

“yeah this is the type of lady I like, she’s handworking like Alexa, why am I even comparing her with Alexa” Khalid thought.

Khalid carried sleeping Kim to the room he design for Kim, the room is Kim playing ground whenever she come to his house.

there’s a bed in the room. she placed her gentle on the bed and cover her up with a duvet, he placed a k-ss to her fall head.

he muttered. “goodnight” to her before leaving the room. Alexa placed a knock on Khalid door and the lady rushed to open the door.

“good evening” the lady greet with a smile. “Evening” Alexa also replied with a smile.

“I guess you’re that beautiful girl mother” the lady said and Alexa nod her head in reply.
