Chapter 7&8: STUCKED IN THE WOODS.
Danielle opened the door to my room, peering. ” Ana, did you see my hair band? I can’t find it anywhere. ” She asked.
” You kept it on the counter last night. Have you checked the kitchen? ” I asked.
” Oh, I must have forgotten. ” She opened the door w¡der, letting herself in. ” Wassup. ”
” Wassup? ” I chuckled. ” I’m good. ”
” No, I meant wassup with your dreams. Does it keep coming? ”
” Yeah, I keep seeing it though not every night but, I can manage it. ”
” Really? You sure you can do that? ”
I brushed my hair back,” I don’t know, Danielle. But what can I do? He’s in my head. No matter how much I try to escape from his torture, I don’t think I’m making any effort about it. ” I sighed frustratedly.
” So, are you saying you wanna go with him to the Moon Stone Pack? ”
” No! No, of course not. Why would I ever think of doing that? Danielle he is not just a human, he’s a wolf. And I can’t sit and fold my arms and let him take me all because of some f-cking destiny. ” I sighed again. ” I believe in fate but, I don’t think I do in this case. ”
” Fate can be annoying, you know that? ”
” I know. Guess that’s how it is now.”
After a long moment of silence, she started. ” By the way, I heard mom discuss with her colleague on some wedding planning. I think she’s about to get one of us married. ”
I flew my eyes open. ” What?! ”
” Yes, Gene and I think she’s planning on wedding you to one of her friend’s son. She will do whatever it takes to keep you away from him. What do you think about the idea? ”
I thought for a while, not sure of what to say. I can’t even think straight because, I feel like he might end up hunting me than before.
By the way, how does that seem to bother me? Why will I care about what he will or might say or do?? Moreover, he should go to hell for all I care!!!
” I think that’s a great idea. ” I concluded.
” Mother doesn’t know Gene and I are aware of this, try not to raise the topic beside her. It should be our girls secret for the meantime, okay? ”
I nodded my head continuously. ” Okay. ”
” Thanks by the way for reminding me where I kept my hair band, I would have been searching everywhere for nothing. ” She grinned at me.
” Your welcome. ”

The night approached, and there was no food to eat. Gene haven’t returned back from work yet and Danielle on the other hand wasn’t back from her little hang out with Justin.
It’s me with mom and dad, sitting our ass with a mute and hungry face. Since I returned from the hospital, Dad hasn’t been talking to either of us like usual.
He would keep a face that shows he wasn’t ready to talk about it too. And you know what, no one dares to ask either.
” I’ll just go find something we’ll eat. ” I said standing up from the couch I was sitting on. I just need to get away from the awkward silence. If possible, go somewhere I’d be alone.
I went to get my sweater, leaving the house with the little money I’ve got. I buried my hand into the side pockets of my sweater, walking slower than a snail.
What’s actually going on between mom and dad? Why are they acting strange to themselves?? Why do I feel like they’re hiding something from themselves… From us?
I’m sick and tired of all this shit happening, and it’s probably because of that life stalker that calls himself my… Mate?
Scoffs…
The store nearby had closed and the only store that might be opened was five miles away from home. I stopped a taxi, hopping in. ” To where miss? ” He asked.
” Cookies store. ” I replied.
” Okay. ”
The next thing I could remember was the silent celo playing from the radio, and a little smoke which smelled like exhausted pipe. Then the rest that happened next,,, was all history.

Despite how weak and paralyzed I was, with the painful headache bombarding in my head, I could still hear chattering voices both near and far.
I slowly opened my eyes, staring at the unknown environment I was. Did I just say an unknown environment? Wrong, I was at the middle of nowhere, tied up like a savage at the middle of a bush.
I studied the environment, and I discovered that there wasn’t any exit. Was this my last day calling?? Or is it the ending of the world my reverend always preached in the church?
As they were discussing and cracking some nasty hell-headed jokes, I quietly crawled with my butts, until I was out of their sight. I went to a big tree, hærdly rubbing the rope against it until it could cut in halves.
I hurriedly loosened the one tied around my legs, stretching it. ” Where’s the girl? ” I heard one of them ask. ” Where is she?! ”
” What?! ” Cried another from where he sat.
I didn’t wait to listen next, I took to my heels, out of that prison. I kept running to nowhere just to make sure I get far away from those men. I could feel my heart beating fast, and I wanted to blame no one but my parents.
It’s all their fault I am here. If they aren’t this cold to each other, and if they had kept something for dinner, none of this would have ever happened.
” I see her! ” Someone shouted.
” Where?! ”
” There she is! ”
” Shit, ” I cursed. I felt an arrow pierce into my skin, just above my chest. ” Ahhh…!!” I gro-ned, tumbling down the sloppy hill.

She quickly hid behind a fallen tree, p-nting heavily. She could feel her cold blood roll out of her wound. She was able to break the other side of the arrow, she bit her l-ips with the aim of not making any noise.
Her face immediately turned red, it was like the wh0le world was dancing in her eyes. Her body won’t stop shaking, this was her first time being shot with an arrow. And it just feels like hell when stucked in the skin.
” Any sign of her? ” One asked.
” No, sir. ”
” Keep searching. We must find her before the master returns or we are all dead. ”
” Yes, sir. ” They continued, but yet they couldn’t find her.
” Show yourself beauty, and we will forget you ever ran away. We don’t wanna hurt you, trust me, we aren’t the bad guys here. Are we Jude? ” He asked his partner.
” Yes, sir. ”
” You illiterate, ” he slapped him on his head. ” can’t you ever get some sense for once? You need to be taken back to the kindergarten class you dumb head. ” He eyed him. ” Hey beauty, like I said, we aren’t the bad guys. We just wanna help that’s all. ”
” Do you think she is here around? ” Jude asked.
” Shut your shit mouth up, dumb head. Of course, she is here. Or do you have any idea on where she could be cos I’m listening. ” He eyed him again. ” You know what, just don’t talk until I ask you to. ”
He shot his bullet to the air, causing Illiana to shiver. ” Yeah, that’s dinner if you don’t show up. Look, I’m gonna count up to three, if you don’t come out, I’ll have to shoot you right through your pretty skull. ” He filled the enter forest with his evil laughter.
” I’m counting… One, two…” Illiana waited for the third count but, it seems like it wasn’t coming. All she could hear was the sound of the grasses and the wave of wind accompanied.
She tried taking a glimpse but the pain on her chest won’t let her. She managed to stand to her feet, ready to run, she unconsciously fell back to the ground.
She fainted….

I opened my eyes again for the second time. Did I just passed out again??
I moved my body but was stopped by a stinging pain above my chest. “Ahhh… ”
” Stay still. ” Said a voice, and I did so.
” Where am I? ” I asked.
” You still have a long way to heal, it’s gonna hurt so bad. By the way, what are you doing out here by this hour of the night? ”
” I just asked a damn question, where am I? ” I finally saw a figure standing few metres away from me, he was backing me so I can’t see his face.
” Hey, you haven’t answered my question yet. ” I said, noticing he has been quite for the past three minutes. ” And who the heck are you if I may ask? ”
” It’s better if you don’t know. ”
” Meaning?” I snapped.
” You have to go home. ” He said.
” I’m not going anywhere if I don’t get an… Ouch! ” I gro-ned as I tried to stand to my feet.
” I told you to stay still. ” He warned.
” Yeah you did, but I won’t just sit my ass here with my kidnapper standing right in front of me. I’m gonna call the cops right away and you will have to explain why you had to kidnap an innocent girl like me at the middle of the night. ”
I heard him scoff.” You can’t, ” his face staring at nowhere, and honestly I don’t bother about what it who he is.
” And why would you think I can’t do that? ”
” Because they’ve got your cellphone. Look, if you’re interested on who your real kidnapper is, then you should be a little bit polite asking. ”
” Who the heck do you think you are, huh? ” I stormed at him, ” My saviour or what? ” scoffing, I laughed hærd. ” Ask you politely? F*ck off. ”
I dusted myself, ” I’m off, keep the rest to yourself. Count today as your lucky day, or else you would be smelling hell in prison. ”
I made my way out, murmuring to myself. I heard something hissed, but where exactly was it coming from?
” What the…!!” I scre-med, running in circles. And as wicked as the snake, it kept chasing after me. ” Someone help! Someone stop it from following me!!”
He stepped on it hærd, picking it up with his hand. ” It’s just a snake. ”
” And so, it almost bit me, what do you expect? ”
He cut the head off its body, tossing it away. ” Be careful next time. ”
I looked deep at him, the face looks familiar. I’ve seen it somewhere, damnit! Why am I so dumb to remember things so quickly. I cursed.
” You.” I pointed at him. ” You. What are you doing here? ”
” You need to go home. ”
” Answer my damn question! ” I yelled at him. ” How did you know I was here? How did you know I was taken? Are you following me? ”
” I wasn’t, you called me. ”
“Me? ” I scoffed, ” I’d never do that. You’re following me, aren’t you? ” I asked again, sounding more angry.
He licked his l-ips, ” I wasn’t, but they were. They are coming after you because they know you are my mate. ”
” Cut the mate stuff crap. We just met twice, I don’t even know who you are. But why? Why do you want me so badly, why would you save me despite how much I hate you? ”
” I’m not like most alpha’s who forcefully get what they want, I consider other people’s decision. But I hope that one day, you will consider mine. ”
