★ Philip’s Confession★

A WEEK LATER ~ GLOBAL AD COMPANY

“Aahh….it’s so good to be in love” Sophia cooed as she stared at the invite to Frederick and Tiffany’s wedding.

“You’ve been saying that for an hour now, when exactly will go back to work?” Peter asked behind her.

“After having my fill of this” Sophia replied grinning like a fool.

“I wish I can be lucky as Tiffany and get a rich guy to fall for me” Sophia said dreamily which got Peter flicking her on the fore head.

“Arrgh! That hurts”

“That’s to wake you up from your dream. There’s no such thing as a rich guy falling for a poor girl, Tiffany is just lucky to find a guy like the boss, so don’t you think you will be lucky as she is” Peter said destroying her fantasy.

“Take this up to the general manager” Vivi said as she gave her their month evaluation book.

“Why should I take it to him?”

“Since Tiffany is on a week break, you should do it” Vivi replied before walking off.

Reluctantly Sophia took it to the general manager floor, all she had to do is to give it to his secretary and leave but as soon as she got there, some thing else happened.

“Oh! Finally you are here. Help me arrange those files and bring it in to my office and also make it snappy” Lucas ordered before going into his office.

At first she wondered if he was talking to her but when she realise that she’s the only one present in the room with him, she decided to do as he said.

After arranging the file, she took it in along with their book.

“This is it sir and….”

“Make me a coffee” he ordered not looking her way and though Sophia tried to object, she sulk it in and went to make the coffee like he ordered.

“What the hell is this?” Lucas said as he put the coffee cup down almost spilling the content on the floor.

“You call this coffee?” He asked looking angry.

“It is coffee” Sophia replied.

“I already have enough work to do thanks to Frederick wedding and now this! ” He muttered under his breath before turning cold grey eyes on her.

“Didn’t the agency tell you about me? I made it clear to them that if they are going to bring me a temp secretary, it should be one who knows everything about me” He let out in frustration.

“I think you’ve assumed wrong sir, am not….”

“Quit with the nonsense and make me another coffee ” he ordered.

Sophia was prevented from saying more when the door open and a man walk in.

Angrily, Sophia left the room and went to make the coffee again.

The only reason why she’s keeping quiet is due to the fear of losing her job.

She made the coffee again and went back to his office and this time he was on call.

“Just wear that skimpy thing I love on you and wait in the apartment, I will surely be there to devour you” he said into the reciever while he motioned her to leave with a flick of his hand.

Feeling angry, she left the office and was heading towards the elevator when she heard him call for her.

She wanted to ignore but she went back into the office.

“Do them again” he said throwing the files at her as soon as she walk in.

“I think have had enough of….”

“Am sorry! Am sorry for arriving late” a girl who came running in said.

“Who are you ?” Lucas asked the girl who just arrive.

“Am your temporary secretary” she replied.

“If she’s my secretary, who the hell are you?” Lucas belowed at Sophia who rolled her eyes at him.

“Am a chef in the company and I was sent here to give you the monthly evaluation book” she replied slowly.

“You should have told me instead of pretending to be some one else. You made me waste my time” he said angrily and that finally did it.

Walking towards his table, she hit her fist on his desk startling Lucas and the other girl in the room.

“We wouldn’t have waste each other time if you had listen to me but instead you ordered me around and even went as far as to insult me, the least you can do after finding out the truth is to apologise” Sophia yelled out the last part to him.

“You want me to apologise to you. Are you kidding me?” Lucas asked.

“I know you will be a coward and choose the safest way rather than to apologise. Don’t worry, your apology is the last thing I want, so shove it down your throat, you bully!” Sophia said fiercely before leaving his office.

BOUTIQUE

“Ready?” The attendant who had help Tiffany get into her wedding dress asked.

“Hmm”

The attendant pulled apart the curtain which separated her from Grandma Cassandra and Brianna.

“What do you think?” Tiffany asked as she wait for their response.

“You look…..magnificent” Grandma Cassandra said as she walk up to her.

“It’s beautiful” Brianna said obviously enchanted by the dress too.

“Frederick will certainly drop dead once he sees you on the day of your wedding” Grandma Cassandra said in excitement.

“I don’t think so. It’s enchanting and beautiful but not enough to make Frederick drop dead” Tiffany replied.

“It is cause am going to drop dead soon” Frederick statement from the door got the three women looking his way.

“Why are you here?” Grandma Cassandra asked as she went towards her grandson whose gaze was solely on Tiffany.

“It’s bad luck to see the bride in her wedding dress before the day of the wedding” Brianna said earning her brother attention.

“You know I don’t believe in such things” Frederick replied his gaze moving back to Tiffany who was feeling flush by his scrutiny.

“If you don’t believe it , we do and so it’s best you leave. You told me you would be busy at the company but it had only been a lie so you could come sneak at Tiffany’s dress right?” Grandma Cassandra asked hitting him on his arm.

“Not all of it is a lie, I just finished earning us another deal which would make me rich for another century and since I had nothing doing, I came to check on you all. You don’t mind right cause am only going to listen to whatever you say” Frederick said moving towards Tiffany.

“So, do you want me to go?” He asked making a cute face.

“Grandma is right. It’s bad luck to see the bride in her wedding dress before the day of the wedding, so it’s best if you leave” Tiffany said, smiling when he gave a frown in return.

“Heard that! Off you go” Grandma Cassandra said taking hold of his hand and walking him out of the room they booked for the fitting of Tiffany’s dress.

“But still…can’t I just stay, I won’t be a problem” Frederick said pouting sadly.

“You will only be a distraction. Go do some thing else” grandma Cassandra replied before shutting the door on his face.

Frederick felt a bit annoyed since he didn’t get his way. He turned to leave only to see an attendant hovering around.

A thought came to his mind, smiling sheepishly he approached the attendant.

“You’ve obviously got my brother hooked” Brianna said as she smooth Tiffany gown while grandma Cassandra was busy talking to one of the attendant on making some alteration on the dress

“Really?” Tiffany asked playing ignorance.

“Even a blind man will notice how much he loves you. He’s been shouldering my grandma and I and the company ever since our parents died, am glad he found you since you can give him all the love and protection he’s been giving us” Brianna said missing the look that cross Tiffany’s face.

Will she be able to return the love he feels for her? She thought as the attendant came back to her.

“Let me help you get changea” the lady said as she took Tiffany back into the changing room.

“I will be right back” the lady said leaving the room.

Tiffany let out a sigh before she reached for the zipper behind her dress but due to the feathers which was used in decorating the dress, she couldn’t reach it.

“Let me” some one said

“Oh thank…..what are you doing here?” Tiffany asked as she turned on Frederick who gave her a sheepish grin in return.

” I have my ways, now let me help you with your zipper” he said.

“Don’t! I…can do it myself and I thought you left” Tiffany said airily.

“How can I when have not even given you a kiss” he said winking at her.

“A kiss isn’t necessary and besides our wedding is just two days away, we can save whatever you have in mind till then” she said moving back wards while Frederick kept stalking her.

“Kissing you won’t be the only thing I do to you on the day of our wedding” he told her smoothly as he pulled her into his arms when she would have rammed her back against the wall.

“You intend to…..” She stop what she was going to say when he pulled down the zip of her dress.

“Frederick!” She gasped out his name as she clutch onto the front of the dress.

“My intention on the night of our wedding is to peel off this gown and kiss every inch of your body ” he said as he kissed her exposed shoulder making Tiffany tingle all over.

“And then I will make sweet passionate love to you, devour every bit of you till you are mine body and soul” he added now kissing her eye lids, her nose and finally her lips.

Tiffany was mesmerized by his words and that got her kissing him back.

It wasn’t until Frederick’s hand drifted to her naked back that she realise what she was about to do.

“Frederick” she called, pulling away from him.

“I know and am sorry but I just can’t keep my hands off of you but am going to wait cause after all you will be my wife in two days time and no one, not even your prayer will stop me from making you mine” he declared which got her blushing all over.

“You blush easily and I love it” he said kissing her red cheek.

“That’s due to the illicit things you say” she replied looking a bit shy.

“Am an illicit guy and you will end up loving me the way I am” he told her firmly.

“My grandma and Brianna are going out once they leave here? Who’s taking you home?” He asked.

“I can go home myself , I don’t….”

“I know you can but it will put me at ease if you had some one with you” Frederick replied.

“I will ask Kelvin to come”

“That’s sound assuring. I better leave or grandma won’t let me hear the last of it ” he said giving her a quick kiss.

He was at the door when he turned to her.

“By the way, you look sexy in that dress” he complimented and a while later Tiffany was still smiling due to his compliment.

****
“Excuse me, am looking for Tiffany Clinton. She came for her….”

“What on earth are you doing here?” Brianna voice from the other side of the room got Kelvin turning her way.

“What a pleasant surprise ” Kelvin said as Brianna walk towards him.

“Did you follow me here?” Brianna asked as soon as she got to him.

“As much as I would like to say yes, I can’t cause I came here for some one else” he replied.

“You expect me to believe that lie?”

“It’s the truth” Kelvin replied.

“You used the whole week following me around and you expect me to believe that this is a coincidence, I don’t …..”

“Kelvin” Tiffany called as she walked out to the lobby with grandma Cassandra in toll.

“Do you know him?” Brianna asked.

“He is my brother” Tiffany replied which got Brianna’s eyes widening in shock.

“Do you know her, sis?” it was Kelvin who asked this time around.

“She’s Brianna, Frederick sister. You weren’t able to meet her the other time because she was out ” Tiffany replied introducing the two.

“Do you two know each other?” Grandma Cassandra asked.

“We don’t”

“We do”

They both replied at the same time and taking the initiative, Kelvin put his arms around Brianna.

“What she’s trying to say is that we know each other, we attend the same school and we are also in the same class” he said winking at Brianna who gave him a hateful look.

“And since your brother and my sister will be getting married, that makes us family right?” He added while Brianna shook her head in frustration.

Not only will he be pestering her at school but he will be doing that at home too.

RESTAURANT

“So you are saying that Tiffany agreed to marry Frederick only to save you from going to jail?” Philip asked George as they dined at a friend’s restaurant.

“I thought that at first but then she assured me that she has been dating him before everything happened” George replied as he kept talking about the whole thing.

“Do you really think so? Don’t you think that she might have agreed to marry him just so she could save your skin?” Philip asked.

“I doubt that. Seeing the both of them together has cleared my doubt, she’s definitely in love with him” George replied ruining the little hope he had.

“And some how I pictured you and her getting married” George continued as he kept eating and he failed to notice the look of interest in Philip eyes.

“Why did you think so?” Philip asked.

“Didn’t you know that she has been in love with you, she’s been in love with you for years” George revealed which stunned him into silence.

“Am surprise you never knew, a lot of us did but you didn’t. Well, you’ve always treated her like a sister so you….”

“Have got to go George” Philip said suddenly as he got out of his seat.

“Where are you going? You haven’t even finish your dinner”

“I will talk to you later ” with that said, Philip ran out of the restaurant.

He never knew of her feeling, never realized that what she felt for him was more than the brotherly facade.

Getting the truth made him feel happy, he had chosen to give her up but on hearing this, there’s no way in hell that he will let her go.

He didn’t realise it sooner and if it hadn’t been for Frederick who showed up in her life, he would never have admit to his feelings.

Getting to their house, he saw Tiffany waiting out side the gate and his heart swell with tenderness and love on seeing her.

“Tiffany” he called and as soon as she turn to stare at him, he ran the few distance that separate them and pulled her into a tight hug.

“Philip” she called trying to pull away but he tightened his hold on her.

“I love you” he whispered into her ear and that got Tiffany standing immobile in his arms.

“I know it’s coming late but I love you, I love you, Tiffany. So don’t get married to him” He said now starring at her.

They were both starring at each other and failed to notice the person walking towards them.

“What’s going on ?” Frederick asked.
