“Who are you? You look really handsome!” Pearl was the first to speak.

“Seriously? What do kids like you know about handsome?” Leonardo chuckles.

Pearl was about replying when they heard a familiar voice from behind voice from behind.

“Mommy!!!” They both rushed to her, and Leonardo looks up, at thier direction.
“Cuties!” Gianna smile, and took turns to hug them.

“I and your mom have been looking all over for you” Gianna said when they broke the hug.

Leonardo got to them and Gianna looked up.

“Sorry if I’m not meant to meddle in this but you shouldn’t let your kids wonder about anyhow, the city is not safe” He said.

“She’s not our…” Gianna quickly palmed Pearl’s mouth before she could finish.

“I appreciate your concern again sir, and thanks for finding them… I’ll surely watch out for them from now on” Gianna took thier hands and left his side.

“Why do you lie to that handsome uncle?” Pearl asked when they got to a secret area.

“Cos you first called me mommy, wasn’t it fun to play along?” Gianna giggles.

“Where is mommy anyway? What are you here Instead of her?” Starr added.

“I gave your mom a call and she said you’re here, and I happened to be at the store nextdoor so I decided to spend the day with you cos she has to be at work this hour!” Gianna said, squatting in front of them.

She left?” Pearl pouted, a frown forming on her face.

“She really don’t want to but don’t have a choice, you don’t have to worry I’ll make today more fun for you… Trust me!”

“Really?”

“Yes, so where should we visit first?” Gianna asks.

“The movie house!!” The kids squealed at a time.

“Yay! To the movie house!!”

NEXT MORNINGβ€’β€’ ROYAL COLLEGE β€’β€’ GYM

Dylan opened the door to the school gym and stepped inside. The room was mostly empty, except for a single figure in the corner.

It’s was a lady, doing stretches on a yoga mat. As Dylan drew closer, he realized it was Lisa.

She looked up and smiled as she saw him.

“Hey, Dylan,” she said.

“Hi, Lisa,” Dylan said, a bit out of breath, cos he literally ran over there.

“Do you run?” Lisa asked, noticing his face expression.

“I’m sorry I forget about the training so I had to rush… Really sorry for keeping you waiting” Dylan said.

“No no, it’s okay! It’s even great! It’s going to help a lot in your journey of becoming fit, running helps in loosing weight too” Lisa smiled.

Dylan only nodded.

“Before we start! I’ve noticed you eat junk food a lot and one thing that can really help you lose weight is changing your diet,” Lisa said to Dylan.

You should try to eat more whole foods, like fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. Cut down on processed and sugary foods. Drink lots of water, and try to avoid drinking your calories, like soda and juice. Do you think you can do that?”

“Yeah, I think I can, but it’s going to be tough to give up some of my favorite foods.”Dylan said.

“It can be difficult at first… but I’ve faith in you, you can do it”

Dylan smiled, this is the first time someone told him they have faith in him.

“Alright! Let’s start with some simple stretches,” she said. “We’ll warm up your muscles before we do any strength training.”

Dylan nodded and did his best to follow along as Lisa demonstrated each stretch. She was encouraging and patient, and he felt himself relaxing as they continued.

“Lie down on your back,” Lisa said.

“Bend your knees, and place your hands lightly behind your head. Now, contract your abs and raise your upper body off the ground. Exhale as you crunch up, and then inhale as you lower back down.” She instructed.

Dylan did as she instructed, feeling the muscles in his abs working hard. Lisa showed him how to do a few different types of crunches, and by the end of the set, he was sweating and breathing heavily.

At the end of the core strengthening routine, Dylan sat up, wiping the sweat from his forehead.

“That was intense,” he said, breathing heavily.

“But you did great!” Lisa said, smiling

“You should feel proud of yourself for pushing through that workout. And remember, consistency is key. If you keep at it, you’ll start to see the results you’re looking for.”

Dylan smiled, feeling a sense of accomplishment.

“Thanks, Lisa,” he said. “I really appreciate your help and encouragement.”

“Anytime,” Lisa gave him a thumb up and he let out a short smile.

HERNANDEZ CONGLOMERATE

Leonardo was pacing back and forth in his office, clearly agitated. Lyric, nervously clutching a stack of papers, stood by the door, watching him.

“Why is it taking so long? I need the data, and I need it now!” Leonardo growled.

“I’m so sorry, sir,” Lyric, her voice shaking. “I’m doing everything I can to get it for you.”

“Well, it’s not good enough!” Leonardo snapped.

Lyric raised her head to look at his face, he’s never been this mad at her since she started working for him. Did she did something wrong? Or is he going through something?

“Please, sir, just give me a few more minutes,” the secretary pleaded.

“I’m waiting for an email from the team with the data. As soon as I get it, I’ll bring it right to you.” She continued.

Leonardo let out an exasperated sigh.

“Fine,” he said, sounding defeated. He sat back on his chair. Lyric left the office.

*FIVE MINUTES LATER*

“Here’s the file you need sir” Lyric said, making her presence known as she placed the documents in front of him.

“I need you to make me a coffee,” Leonardo said, looking up from his computer screen.

Lyric put down the papers and left, soon she came back and gently placed the coffee on his desk.

“Here’s your coffee, sir,” she said, trying to keep her voice steady.

Leonardo took one look at the mug and scowled

“Is this a joke?” Leonardo said, his voice rising.

“Do you think this is funny? I asked for a strong coffee, and this is nothing but water!”

Lyric’s heart sank.

“I’m so sorry, sir,” she said, her voice quivering. “I’ll make you another one right away.”

“No! Just get out of my sight!” Leonardo, his face red with anger.

Lyric stood frozen, unsure of what to do. She wanted to explain herself, but the Leonardo’s expression made it clear that he wasn’t interested in hearing anything she had to say.

All she could do was turn and leave the room, feeling like a complete failure. She got back to her desk and sat down slowly, her face squeezed and her mind occupied with one thing.

Why the sudden change against her.

“Are you okay?” She heard her desk mate, Sia asks.

Lyric shooked her head and explained everything to her.

“The truth is he has always been like that, I was surprised you haven’t complained since you got here. Maybe he tried to make his hates for woman go away with you. But I guess it’s didn’t work. He’s only doing all that so you could quit like his other secretary…” Sia told her.

“Really? It’s really terrifying?” Lyric mouthed.

“I know, that’s why I never applied for a secretary! But then, you’ll be fine,, just don’t give up and ignore all his pompous attitude”

Lyric nodded, and Sia smiled turning back to her duty. Lyric took a deep breath and turning to her computer.

4PMβ€’β€’HERNANDEZ ESTATE

Mikaela closed her bedroom door behind her, stretching her arms over her head.

The sun had set hours ago, and the house was dark and quiet. As she made her way down the hall towards the living room.

She actually wanted to make snacks for herself.

Just then, she heard a soft scratching sound at the front door. She opened the door to find Leo’s dog, Chase, sitting patiently on the other side.

“Hey, buddy,” Mikaela said, smiling as she let him inside.

Chase ran straight to his food bowl, eager for his dinner.

Mikaela laughed as she watched him, then walked over to the kitchen cabinet to get his food. She poured some kibble into his bowl, and Chase began to devour it, tail wagging happily.

Just as Mikaela was about to sit down on the couch, she heard the front door open and Princeton, walk in.

“Princeton?!!” Mikaela exclaimed and rushed to him.

“Ma’am Mika!” Princeton bowed and Mikaela sighed frustratedly.

“I really can’t do anything to change your mind about this ma’am of a thing”

Princeton gave no response.

“Sir Leonardo said you need my help with something ” He said, formerly.

“No! Actually yes! I wanted to make burgers and fries but I don’t know how! Can you also teach me how?” Mikaela pleaded cutely.

Princeton took one look at her, turning his face away quickly.

Seriously?? Is this why she stressed him to come over? All because of a snacks.

But what choice does he have?

“Sure ma’am” Princeton added.

The truth is Burgers and fries are her favorite and she came make one for herself if she want some,or even order.

She only want to see his face, and she couldn’t be more happier.

“Should we start?” Mikaela smiled, staring at him deeply.

Princeton nodded.

HERNANDEZ CONGLOMERATE β€’β€’ LATER

Sia stood after packing her bags, turning to Lyric.

“I’m leaving! Aren’t you done yet?” She asked her.

“Almost! Go ahead!” Lyric smiled, and Sia waved, before leaving.

Few minutes later, Lyric gathered her things and left the office heading to the elevator.

As soon as the elevator opened, she came in face to face with Leonardo.

Lyric hesitated, not sure if she should join him in the elevator or take the next one.

She turned to go, but Leonardo spoke…

“It’s fine… you can join….” He said, and Lyric bowed and stepped into the elevator. The doors closed behind him, and the elevator started to move.

She make sure to maintain 10metre away from him.

As it ascended, Leonardo thought about the mail Davina sent him earlier, what does she mean by he’s going to loose something prescious.

Meanwhile, Lyric was feeling a little nervous as she stood beside him, gulping down emptiness the whole time. She didn’t like being in small spaces, and being in the same elevator with him was making her feel claustrophobic.

She just want the elevator to stop,so she’ll be out of here quickly.

A few second later, the elevator started making strange noises, drifting Leonardo out of his thoughts.

“What is going on?” He ask no one in particular.

There was a loud grinding sound, followed by a sudden jolt. The elevator shook, and the lights flickered on and off.

Lyric and Leonardo exchanged a worried glance. The elevator stopped moving, and they could hear a faint beeping sound.

Lyric’s heart started racing as the darkness enveloped her. She felt a surge of fear, her body trembling. It wasn’t just the darkness that scared her. She had a phobia of small, enclosed spaces

Even though she knew the elevator was relatively safe, her mind was telling her otherwise. She felt trapped, like the walls were closing in on her. She tried to take deep breaths, but she couldn’t seem to get enough air.

The light were still flickering.

“What’s happening?” Lyric managed to asked, her voice shaky.

“The elevator stop working” He reached out for his phone, and made to dail Princeton line, but the elevator jolted once more and the phone from him.

He pick it up only the see the skin broken from the fall.

“F**k” he mumbled and shoved it in his pocket. Leonardo looked around, trying to see if there was anything he could do.

But it was pitch black, and the elevator didn’t seem to be responding to any of the buttons he pressed.

Lyric began to feel a sense of panic welling up inside her. she began to whimper. It was a quiet, muffled sound, but it was enough to alert Leonardo to the fact that something was wrong.

“Lyric, what’s wrong? Are you okay?” He turned to her and asked.

Lyric was too afraid to answer, and all she could do was shake her head. He walk back to her and bent his head to her level to look at her properly cos of the darkness.

“Are you okay?” He asked again, and the only thing he could feel is her shaking and sweating profusely.

“Lyric, can you hear me?” He added, when no reply came from her.

“I’m….I….” Lyric stuttered, breathing rapidly.

“Look at me…” He uttered and Lyric look straight into his eyes, her eyes still teary.

“Don’t be afraid? I’m here okay?” He held her shoulders and Lyric slowly gave a nod. But in that moment, the elevator jolted again, and the lights went out completely.

Lyric grabbed his shirt, with shaky hands hugging him so tight.
