“Tell me why you f*cking risk your life for a mere secretary?!! Tell it straight to my face right now Leonardo!!!” Davina barked.
“Why? tell it straight to my face Leonardo, fvcking tell me why? Why aren’t you saying anything?” Davina repeated.
“Because I-” Leonardo suddenly spotted Lyric by the doorway and immediately snap out of his trance. He went silent.
He turned back to Davina.
“You should leave now or else I’m calling the cops….” He said to her.
Davina turned to see Lyric.
“This is not over yet!!!” She hissed and bumped into Lyric shoulder before walking out.
“Are you okay?” Leonardo asked as Lyric raised the bed stand and placed a food flask in front of him. She gave a nod.
“She did it right?” Lyric asked in return, avoiding his eyes.
Leonardo nodded.
Lyric opened the the flask and serve it in a rice bowl, placing the fork beside it.
“Why didn’t you want to report her when you know she’s the one behind it? Why did you let her go?” She inquired frowning.
Leonardo looked at her face.
“Do you still love her?” Lyric demanded, trying to make her words polite enough. She just find her self uttering those words. She don’t even know where the confidence is coming from.
“We break up a long time ago!” Leonardo chuckled.
“That’s not the question I ask” Lyric replied, still frowning.
Leonardo was about replying when the door opened and Dean come in with Pierce.
“Bestie!!!!!” Dean break into a fake tears and rushed to pull Leonardo into a tight hug.
“Get off me! D*ck!!” Leonardo tries to push him off but he wouldn’t budge.
“Aarh!” Leo yelp and Dean immediately release him.
“Are you okay?” He asked concernly.
“Obviously” Leonardo rolled his eyes.
“Have I suddenly gone invisible?” Pierce said and they both to turn to him. That was when Dean saw Lyric.
“Who’s this Angel?” Dean ask with a smile.
Lyric blinked.
“My new secretary I told you about” Leonardo reply in place of her.
“Oh, nice to meet you” Pierce stretched his hand for handshake but Lyric only stared at him, without taking it. Her phone suddenly buzzed.
It’s a text from Granny Lupe.
“Excuse me” She said and went out.
“D@mn, this is my first time seeing your new secretary. She’s pretty!!” Dean said with a wink.
“Don’t even think of anything” Leonardo said seriously.
“She’s all yours!” Dean raised his hand in surrender.
“But don’t you think her face is familiar?” Pierce suddenly said.
“Are you serious right now?” Dean chuckled.
“I’m serious… Like I’ve seen her before” Pierce rough his hair, as if to recall.
“Don’t mind him! He’s just crazy?!!” Dean said to Leonardo.
“Do you like her?” Dean winked.
“It’s obvious! You need to see the way he was looking at her” Pierce replied.
“I hate you both!” Leonardo snap, covering his ears
“We love you bro!!!” Dean and Pierce chorus and Leo shakes his head.

LYRIC PLACE
π We love you too mummy” Pearl and Starr chorus on the phone before hunging up.
“Are you satisfied now?” Granny Lupe asked and they both nodded.
“Good, now you should both take you bath and eat!” She added.
I still miss her after hearing her voice! When is she coming back?” Pearl pouted.
“Yh me too, Did she went on last-minute business trip with her boss again?” Starr said.
“Last-minute business trip, What’s that?” Granny Lupe mumbles confusedly.
“That’s what Mom told us the last time she got back. She said we can’t understand if she told us about it… Do you know what it’s means?” Pearl asked.
“Sadly I don’t. Ask mummy when she got back okay? Now let’s wash up” Granny Lupe smiled.
Just then, The door opened and Gianna walked in.
“Babies!!” She called and the kids rushed to hug her.
“Awwn, you’ve missed your godmother alot! I know I missed you guys too…” Gianna gushed, hugging them tigter.
“Mom is not around..” Starr said as they broke the hug.
“I know, I came to take you guys out. Ice-cream? The park? Who’s in?” She asked.
“Me!!!” The kids jumped happily.
“How are you doing?” Gianna pecked Granny Lupe.
“Great”
“Alright! Let’s wash up first!” Granny Lupe said and led them to the bathroom.

HERNANDEZ ESTATE
“You agreed to what?!!!” Mikaela screamed in awe as soon as Eclipse told her about Dave. She’s actually video calling her.
“I said yes! So what?” Eclipse rolled her eyes.
“Are you listening to yourself right now Eclipse? You agreed to dating a Playboy?” Mikaela gasped.
“You’re making me regret telling you. He’s not a Playboy!”
“Fine, it’s your choice. I’m happy for you!” Mikaela smiled.
“Thanks. Are you on your way to school already?” Eclipse asked.
“No, I won’t be coming. I’ve to take care of brother…” Mikaela replied.
“Alright… See ya tomorrow babe” Eclipse blew her a kiss before hanging up.
Mikaela finish dressing up and left the room. She met Princeton waiting already. She walk up to him and hug him.
“What’s wrong?” Princeton smiled, wrapping his arms around her waist.
“I miss you” She pouted.
“We’ve already seen each other today.”
“I know but I still miss you!” Mikaela broke the hug.
“Brother is not going to be discharged until tomorrow. Does that mean you’re staying with me tonight? Only two of us!” She grinned.
“He’s getting discharged today” Princeton replied.
“What?! Why?” Mikaela let out a gasp.
“Boss hates staying in the hospital and the company is throwing a party for the success of the last project and he has to attend” Princeton answered.
“Are you coming with him?”
Princeton shook his head.
“Great! We should go on our first date!”
“Sure!”

GL-HOSPITAL
Leonardo emerged from the hospital, pushing his IV stand as he walked out the door. Mikaela was standing there, a concerned look on her face.
“Are you sure you’re okay to be discharged? It’s too early for this!” she asked.
“The doctors say I’m healing well. I just need to take it easy for a while.” Leonardo assured her.
Lyric and Princeton stood nearby, watching the scene.
“Princeton should take you home. I have some things to discuss with Lyric” Leonardo said and Lyric look at him. Mikaela looked at Princeton, who nodded.
Mikaela gave Leonardo and Lyric a curious look, but didn’t press the issue.
“All right, then,” Princeton and Mikaela both held to the car and left.
“Are you sure can manage to drive?” Lyric asked as they made thier way to Leonardo’s car.
“I’m fine,” Leonardo said. He unlocked the car and opened the passenger door for Lyric. She got in without a word, and Leonardo got in too.Leonardo drove towards the mall, the car’s tires humming on the pavement,they entered the mall, Leonardo led Lyric to a clothing store.
“Wait here,” he said, walking up to the counter. He spoke to the clerk for a moment, then returned to Lyric’s side.
“Come with me, ma’am!” The clerk said, gesturing towards the changing rooms.
Lyric followed the clerk into the changing area, her mind racing. She still had no idea what Leonardo was up to.
“You can change into the clothes,” the clerk said, handing her a pile of garments. “I’ll be back in a few minutes.” She left.
She couldn’t help but wonder what was going on. Why had Leonardo brought her to this store? Why was he being so mysterious? And why is she in the changing rooms?
A few minutes later Lyric emerged wearing a stunning dress. It was a simple yet elegant design, suited her body perfectly. Leonardo jaw dropped when he saw her, he couldn’t stop staring at her, his eyes wide.
Lyric shifted uncomfortably, not sure how to react. Was he happy with the dress, or did he hate it?
“Perfect!” He said, his voice full of awe. He then stood and walk to her.
“Shall we?” He gave her a hand and Lyric took it, even though see feeling a bits uncomfortable.
The clerk packed the rest and he paid and they left the mall.

SAVOR BALLROOMβ’β’8PM
Lyric was feeling a little self-conscious as she entered the company party with Leonardo. She was wearing high heels for the first time in a long time, and she felt a little unsteady on her feet. She clung to Leonardo’s arm, feeling grateful for his support.
The party was in full swing, and everyone seemed to be having a good time. Lyric did her best to put on a brave face, but she couldn’t help but feel a little out of place. She kept her eyes on Leonardo, hoping he would help her navigate the room.
Suddenly, Leonardo’s boss, Mr. Henderson, approached them.
“Leonardo, it’s great to see you here,” he said, his voice booming.
He turned to Lyric, his eyes sweeping over her outfit. “And you must be Lyric, the genius who gave us the idea of the new game. All this happen because of you”
Lyric swallowed hard, her hands gripping Leonardo’s arm a little tighter.
“It’s nice to meet you. Mr Henderson” she said, her voice a little shaky.
Mr. Henderson gave her a warm smile and stretch his hands out for an handshake. Lyric took it but it’s didn’t last for long cos Leonardo pulled her away from him.
He excuses themselves and found them a seat.
In the midst of Lyric’s unease, a young woman approached Leonardo. She had dark hair and striking blue eyes, and she was dressed in a sleek black dress.
“Leo!!” Before Lyric could even process what was happening, the woman leaned in and gave Leonardo a quick hug. As she pulled back, she planted a small kiss on his cheek.
“Jennifer!!” Leonardo return the smile,and Lyric felt her heart drop, she couldn’t stop staring as they talk. And the so called Jennifer seemed to be all over her and Leonardo was still holding onto her waist. That moment, he totally forget about her.
Feeling a mix of anger and hurt, Lyric turned on her heel and stormed out of the party.
“Lyric!!!” Leonardo stood up immediately and went after her.
Lyric rushed down the hall, turning a corner and ducking into a small alcove. She leaned against the wall, her chest heaving as she tried to catch her breath.
Leonardo found Lyric in the alcove. He approached her slowly, not wanting to startle her.
“Lyric,” he said softly. “I’m sorry about what happened in there. I didn’t know she was going to do that.”
Lyric turned to look at him, her eyes shining with tears.
“Why didn’t you stop her?” She was all over you, and you just let her” She said, her voice shaking
“I didn’t know how to react,” Leonardo said, his voice full of regret.
“You don’t know how to react?”
“It’s not like that. She’s an old friend, and she’s just being friendly. I didn’t know she would act like that.” Leonardo replied, his voice pleading.
Lyric crossed her arms over her chest, her eyes narrowing.
“Friendly?” she repeated.
“She practically kissed you in there and you just stood there. You even ignored me” Lyric said breathlessly. She could feel her anger building, her heart pounding in her chest.
“What would you have done if it had been me acting like that with some other guy?” she asked, her voice rising.
“I love you!” He spilled out before knowing it. Probably to shut her up something.
Lyric eyes widened.
“Lyric, I’ve never felt this way about anyone before,” Leonardo said, his voice low and intense.
“You’re so beautiful, inside and out. You’re kind, smart, and funny. I love your eyes, and the way they sparkle when you laugh. I love the way you tilt your head when you’re thinking hard about something. And I love the way you take care of the people around you. You make my life better just by being in it.”
He paused, searching for the right words.
“I know it’s probably too soon for me to say this, but I’m going to say it anyway,” he continued, his voice steady and sure. “I love you, Lyric. And I don’t want a life without you in it.”
Lyric stood frozen, her mind reeling from what she had just heard. Leonardo loved her? The words echoed in her head, and she wasn’t sure how to respond. She felt a mix of emotions swirling inside her – surprise, joy, and a bit of fear. She swallowed hard, trying to find her voice.
His words hung in the air, and Lyric felt like the ground had been pulled out from under her. She stared at him, her breath caught in her throat.
“Why aren’t you saying anything? I just confessed right?” He moved closer to her and held her hand.
“I feel the same way!” she muttered, her voice barely above a whisper. That was all Leonardo need to hear, he pulled her much more closer and slammed his lips on hers in a hungry pace.
