9:45pm…!

He laughs as he studies the glass of beer he’s holding.. he turns to the seer.

“How do you think they’re taking my surprise now?”

Right now, they’re at the seer’s living room.

He pause and takes a sip from the beer.. ravishing the taste in his tongue.

“Do you think they’re panicking now? Do you think they’re scared?” He asked.

“I don’t know, your highness!”

He slams the glass on the table and have the seer’s neck in a tight grip… Making him choke.

“It’s majesty!” He growls.

The seer tries to remove his hand but it only make his grip tightens more… the seer’s feet lift off the ground.

“I’m gonna be king soon, call me majesty!” He growls.

He pushes the seer to the ground and clenched his jaw.. clenching and unclenching his fist.

“It won’t take long, I’ll be king soon!”

The seer manages to get on his feet and rubs his neck.

“Then what are you planning on doing next?”

He smirks and picks his beer, he finishes it in one gulp…he slams the glass on the table.

“The future king and queen are the most important… I’ll make them fight themselves and use that opportunity to strike!”

The seer glares at him secretly, he clenches his jaw and grind his teeth against each other… wishing he could just kill Antonio.

But his mate and daughter will pay for it if he does…he shuts his eyes and inhale deeply.

“What about my mate and daughter? When are you gonna release them?”

He snaps his head towards him.

“Your mate didn’t complete her job, I wanted her to wreck the pack… But she screwed up!”

He grabs the seer’s collar in his fist tightly.

“You are making up for her… Just wait patiently for everything to be over, you aren’t seeing them anytime soon!” He growls and pushes the seer away.

He glares at him and storms off… The seer slumps down and moves his gaze to his family picture hanging on the wall.

He runs his fingers through his hair and shuts his eyes.

“Diane, how did you come across this devil?!”

Alexa’s pov 🎀

Next morning…! Xander’s mansion…!

The sound of a chirping bird wakes me up, I open my eyes and yawn.

Right on cue, my alarms blares.. I reach for my phone and turns it off. I check the time and it’s reading… 7:30am!

Hmm, I don’t remember setting an alarm… I guess I was too sleepy to remember.

I felt the urge to use the bathroom, I try to get up but something pulls me down.

With a frown, I looked down and saw Xander’s arms wrapped around my wa-ist… I looked at his face and realized he’s still sleeping.

He’s sleeping so peacefully and snoring quietly.. he’s not the snoring type, I guess he was really tired last night.

He look so handsome right now, I smile. I can’t believe this Greek god is my mate… I’m so damn lucky!

Just my perfect prince charming!

Xander’s eyes snaps open and he quickly sits up, removing his arms from me.

“Good morning, my s€× god!” I said.

Wait… Did that just come from me?!

He turns to me and smiles at me, he leans forward and k-sses my l-ips lightly.

His gaze moves to my stomach and he stretches his hand forward and rubs it gently.

I chuckle.

“What are you doing?”

“Nothing, just wanna feel your stomach!” He replies simply… He smiles at me lovingly.

Then our deal from last night strikes me, I hold his face in my hands and k-sses the corner of his l-ips.

“You said you’ll make it up to me today!”

He frowns and tilts his head as if he’s thinking.

“Did I say that?” He asked.

I hits his chest and he gro-ns.

“You said you’ll make sweet love to me this morning…” I trail off.

“Oh? But I don’t seem to remember telling you that!”

I pout my l-ips, they quiver slightly and my chest rising up and down… Like I’m gonna burst into tears anytime soon.

I really don’t know why I’m being emotional now.

“You’re a liar! You said you’ll make it up to me but….”

He crashes his l-ips on mine cutting me off, he breaks the k-ss and smile at me.

“I remember what I said, I was just messing with you!”

I huff and pouts my l-ips even more, his eyes settles on my l-ips and he smirks.

“Stop pouting your l-ips, baby, or I might bite ’em off!”

I grab his shoulders and pulls him closer.

“Oh, baby, I want you to bite ’em off now!”

His smirk grows w¡der, arching one of his brows.

“Don’t regret your decision!”

“I’ll never!” With that he crashes his l-ips on mine.

His l-ips moving against mine furiously, like they have been craving for mine.

His left arm encircle my wa-ist, his free hand fondling with my buttons.

He dips his hand in my nightie and grabs my br-ast, just when he’s about to give me a br-ast m-ssage he stops and tensed.

I frown.

“Baby, why did you stop?” I asked.

He didn’t reply, instead, he growls and gets up.. he climbs off the bed in a hurry.

“Xander, what happened?”

“I.. I.. can we continue this later?”

“Why?”

His eyes move to the wall clock.

“F$ck!” He exclaims.

I continue staring at him with a confused frown.

“Baby, I have something to do now.. I’ll see you later!” He said.

He snatches one of his t-shirt off the couch in front of our bed and wears it, then he heads for the door.

I rush in front of him and blocks his way.

“Why are you leaving in a hurry?”

“I have something very important to do, I….”

“More important than me?” I cut him off.

“No, but this is something I must do, if I don’t do it I can’t bear the consequences!”

I narrow my eyes.

“Are you hiding something from me?”

He shakes his head… A thought crosses my mind and I gasp loudly.

“Are you tired of me already?”

He frowns.

“What? Where is that coming from?”

“Then why else are you avoiding me?” I huffed.

He sighs and facepalm himself.

“Baby, I can never get tired of you, I’m just very busy recently..” he glances at the time again. “I have to go, I’ll send Joyce over to keep you company!” He said and rushes off.

I watch him until he’s out of my sight… I walk back to the bed and sits on it.

Today’s Saturday, I’m so gonna die of boredom. I fall back on the bed, good lord, save me!

I rolled my eyes and let down my hair, I drop my comb on the dresser and head downstairs.

I just finished taking a shower, I plan to take a walk around the pack today since it’s gonna be sunny today.

“Your highness, surprised to see me?!” Joyce greets immediately I open the door.

I scoff and make way for her to come in.

“I knew it was you!” I reply.

“How did you know?”

“Xander told me before he left!”

“Oh! He ruined my surprise!”

She steps in and I closes the door, she looks at my feet.

“Why are you barefooted?”

“I was combing my hair when you rang the bell, so I just rush here!”

She sits on a sofa and reaches for the TV remote… she turns it on and begin to flip through channels.

“Right, I’m hungry, do you have any food here?” She asked.

I sit next to her.

“I have some food in the fridge, you can microwave them!”

She turns to me.

“You do store cooked food in the fridge now?”

I shake my head.

“No, I prepared them for both Xander and I last night, but Xander didn’t eat… He’s too tired to eat!”

Joyce sighs deeply and shakes her head with a pitiful expression on.

“Yeah, yesterday was tough for him!”

“Tough? What do you mean?”

“You don’t know what he did yesterday?”

I shake my head.

“He’s serving a severe punishment.. how come you don’t know?”

“Punishment? Who punished him?”

“The king!”

“Why? Did Xander do something wrong?”

She turns off the TV and drops the remote.. she gives me her attention fully.

“There was a dead body yesterday and none of Xander’s boys on duty could give account how the body got there.. so the king punished him for that!”

“There was a dead body?”

She nods. If the boys couldn’t give account, shouldn’t they be the one getting punished?

“But it’s not Xander’s fault that his boys are incompetent!”

“He’s the future alpha and it’s his duty to protect his pack… Of course he wouldn’t let the king punish his boys.. they can’t survive the punishment!”

“Is the punishment that severe?”

She nods.

“Yeah, 350 laps!”

“350 laps?!”

That’s suicidal… Now I know why he was so tired last night, no one can run that marathon and not get tired.

“Where’s Xander now?”

“Oh, he’s running the remaining 350 laps today!”

I shake my head. He’s got alpha blood in him but alphas are humans too… He can’t continue another 350 laps today.

“I have to go to the palace, I must see uncle!” I said.

I sprint up and runs towards the door before Joyce can stop me… forgetting I’m barefooted!

After running like a madwoman for a few minutes, I arrive at the king’s office… I knock on the wooden door and hears a faint come in.

I open it and rush in, luckily, it’s just uncle here.. no one else.

“Good morning, uncle!” I greet him.

He stops reading whatever he’s reading and looks at me with a small smile.

“Alexa, what a pleasant surprise! What brought you here?” He asked.

I fall on my knees and his smile turns into a small frown.

“What are you doing, Alexa?”

“Uncle, Xander came home very late last night and he was too tired to eat anything… Now he’s left this morning too without having breakfast…”

I trail off looking for the right words to say.. he stares at me patiently waiting for me to continue.

“…I know he must have done something that got you angry.. Xander can be very irresponsible… I know his foolishness caused you to punish him… But please, make him stop, I promise I’ll talk to him about his misconduct… please forgive him and make him stop…”

Uncle sighs and nods thoughtfully… He gets up and walk towards me, he stops in front of me and raise me up.

“Alexa, I don’t enjoy punishing Xander, but we have laws governing us…. If I don’t punish him how can others obey and respect laws?”

“I know, uncle, I know.. but he’s being running 350 laps since yesterday without food… He can collapse when his strength is exhausted”

Uncle’s chuckles lightly.

“He won’t, he can do it.. he’s the future alpha after all”

“But being the future alpha doesn’t make him invincible, right?”

“Alexa, I know he’s your mate and you feel bad for him.. but trust me, he’ll be fine!”

I push a strand of my hair behind my ear anxiously.

“But…”

“I’m afraid I can’t stop his punishment, he needs this punishment to wake him up from his sleep and teach his fighters properly next time!”

“Alexa, there’s nothing I can do about it!”

His eyes move to my stomach… why is he staring at my stomach?

“Go back home and rest, you need rest!”

“Uncle…. ”

“That’s enough, Alexa!” He said in a firm voice and goes back to his chair and continues reading.

I wait for him a few minutes to change his mind but he didn’t even spare me another glance.

“I’ll go complete the punishment with him, thank you, uncle!” I said and runs off.

I ran past aunt just by the door… but because my mind is set on getting to Xander, I didn’t have time to greet her.

Writer’s pov 🎀

The queen watch Alexa runs off without looking back, she quickly enters the office and sees her husband reading a book.

“Damien, what was Alexa doing here?”

The king drops the file in his hand and raise his head.

“She came to beg me to stop Xander’s punishment!”

“And?”

“I said no”

She sits on a chair in front of his desk.

“Oh! Then why is she running off in tears?”

“I guess because I refused to stop Xander’s punishment, she said she’s going to complete the punishment with him!”

“What?!” The queen exclaims and gets up abruptly.

She leans forward and smacks her husband on his head.. lightly though.

“What is wrong with you, Damien? Why did you let her leave?”

Her husband stares at her in confusion.

“Have you forgotten she’s pregnant?! What if she gets a miscarriage?! Why didn’t you just stop the punishment for her sake?!” She growls at him.

Realization dawns on him and he scratches the back of his neck.

“I didn’t remember that..”

“Of course you won’t!” She points her finger at him. “Mind-link Xander and stop his punishment now… If anything happens to my grandpups, I swear you’ll take responsibility for it!”

“I….”

She turns away from him and didn’t let him complete his words.. she angrily walks out of the office.
