Chapter 77

FREDERICK

I ran towards Ivy who was sitting blankly on floor.

“What happened…?” I trailed off but when she didn’t reply.

I took my phone which was laying on her lap carelessly.

A wave of peace ran down through my wh0le body when I saw that the number was not her doctor’s and that is not what I was thinking.

But then who it could be?

With this thought I the put phone near my ear.

“Hello? Who is there?” I asked in stern voice.

“Hello sir, It’s me, Mr Miguel bodyguard. Actually Mr. Miguel is dead”

“What?” I shouted in shock.

” Yes sir. He got cardiac arrest this morning.”

I kept quite and put mobile aside after hanging up.

I turned towards Ivy and gasped looking at her damp face.

She was crying!!

She was crying for someone who never wanted her nor respected her.

This surprised me

Surely she was not the same Ivy anymore.

If it was some months before then she should have ignored it but now after all the teachings, she fell in love with the word parents.

“Baby, Put yourself together.” I hugged her tightly and she burst into tears.

“Shh!! I am here! I am with you my love!!” I was trying my best to soothe her.

“I want to meet him one last time.” She said sitting while sobbing

” Are you sure?” I asked and she nodded.

” Okay. Get ready Let me take you there!!”

I made her stand up and took her towards the washroom.

After making her wash her face and hands, I braided her hair which were scattered all over.

After doing everything I took her hand and headed towards the porch.

“Daddy” I whispered standing in front of the dead body.

Among the cries of people around me , my whisper faded away.

“Ivy”

I turned my head sideways and saw my mother.

This is the first time I have ever seen my mother without makeup.

There were tears in her eyes.

She was not caring for her look anymore.

“Mom!!” I ran towards her and hugged her tightly hiding my face in her chest.

Just then our cries mingled and we cried our heart out.

I never thought that I would cry on my mother’s shoulder someday and vice versa.

After the funeral of my dad, my mother was sitting in the launch wh0le quite.

I came towards her with a tray full of food.

“Mom!! Please have something. You haven’t eaten since morning.” I said car-ssing my mother’s face

” He never cared about me. He never cared about his family. You know what Ivy? We married because of love.” My mother said and it left me shocked.

” Yes!! It was a love marriage. After two years of our wedding we got you. I was beyond happy when I saw you. You were a mixture of me and Miguel.” She car-ssed my cheek with love.

Tears started pooling up in my eyes.

” But then everything changed when ivy got to know about you. He wanted a son but I couldn’t give him the one. He started hating you and stopped talking with me. It used to kill me and then I started hating you. I started taking you as the reason of his carelessness towards me. I then appointed a nanny to take care of you. I stopped seeing you because when ever I used to look at you, I remembered the happy days I spent with your father before you were born. Miguel changed and I also started taking interest in my Fathers company. My dather died when you were five and I took the charge of company. It started keeping me busy.” My mother was said looking at a random s₱0t while I was continuously wiping her tears.

After chatting for sometime I somehow made her eat.

After putting her to sleep I came out.

I was sitting in the launch when Frederick came and sat beside her.

“How are you now?”
He said k-ssing my forehead.

“I am okay.” I hugged him.

We hugged each other for only goodness knows when.

“I think you should sleep now. You were busy the wh0le day.” He said stroking my hair.

“I want to stay here.”

“Are you serious?” He raised a brow.

“Yeah! I want to spend sometime with my mother. Right now she needs me most” I said.

“Fine. I am loving the way you took care of her despite what she had did to you for years.” He smiled softly taking my hand in his and gave it a light squeeze.

I smiled back sadly.

“I will come tomorow then!” He said.

“Aren’t you staying here?”

” No! I have some work but I promise I will come here daily until you come back.” He smiled.

“Okay but put me to sleep first. My head is pinning like hell.”
I said putting my head on his chest lazily.

He smiled and k-ssed my temple and took me in a bridal style and marched towards my room.

He made me lay on bed and laid beside me.

“Feddy..” I called him in my trance while writing her name continusouly on his chest.

He hummed wh0le playing with my hair.

” You know what my mom told me today?”

“What?

“She told me that my dad used to hate me because I was a girl and she hated me because dad started to ignore her because of me.”

“Just forget about it already. Be grateful that at least now she realized that you are worth loving. It is never late Ivy”
He said lovingly.

Chapter 78

FREDERICK

“I will never do this to my child.” She said in her trance while I felt a ping in my heart.

“I will love everyone of them equally whehter girl or a boy. You will never hate any of them. Isn’t so??”
She raised her head from my chest to look at me as I was already looking at her.

I kept quite because I didn’t have the tendency to lie at her face.

” Come on answer me!!” She asked again.

This time I averted my gaze and simple nodded.

After listening to her for quite sometime I asked her to sleep and she closed her eyes.

I kept on stroking her back until she fell asleep in my arms.

“How I will live in that room without you?” I smiled sadly and pecked her l-ips.

After placing the sheets over her properly , I headed out.

three days passed peacefully with Ivy taking care of her mom.

She wanted to love her mom for all those years when she wasn’t allowed to come closer to her mom.

Her sad mother was fading day by day and a new emotion was filling her heart and that was love for her daughter.

Whenever she see Ivy smiling, a smile come on her l-ips on its own.

She was grateful to God that he had given her such a beautiful daughter in,side and out.

“Ivy!” She called her.

Ivy was serving cake with tea.

They were sitting in the garden.

“When did you became this much responsible and mature? I still remember the crying girl who used to home wh0le day.” Her mother smiled.

“I am married now mother. This beautiful relation require maturity.” Ivy smiled back.

“How did you learn to speak this wisely? I never taught you anything neither were used in listening to your nanny”/Her mother said thinking.

” Frederick mother told me. She taught me alot of things which I am thankful of. She told me how important parents are in one’s life. No matter what but you have to take care of them and love them.” Ivy said smiling.

” Don’t you hate me?” Her mother said after a while.

“Nooooo!!! Why would I??”

“because destroyed your childhood. I never love you. I never cared about you. You spent all these years of your life like an orphan.”

“Come on mom. I don’t want to remember them and besides I think them as my trial.”

“Trial?”

“Yeah Trial!! You can’t get any best thing woth giving a trial. God tests me all those years and deprived me for love and kept me lonely just so I can get that the moral that you are alone and no one can be yours until God is yours. And about that deprivation then he blessed me with so many people who love me beyond the limits. This is how He help us. This is how He test his bravest soldiers in battlefield and reward them with success at the end and I think it’s beautiful!!” Ivy said and her l-ips along with her eyes smiled warmly.

“I never knew that you will turn out like this. I love you my daughter and I am proud of you. Please forgive me!!”

“I have already forgiven you!!” Ivy said k-ssing the palm of her mother lovingly.

” So tell me, does Frederick loves you? Does he keep you Happy?”

“He thinks of me as his life!! He makes me the happiest woman on earth. ” Ivy said smiling wh0leheartedly.

Days passed without a break and now it has been a month days to Miguel’s death.

Frederick used to visit her daily.

The bond between ivy and her mother was getting stronger day by day.

” So wifey when are you are planning to come back? Your room and your poor husband are waiting for you so badly!” Frederick hugged Ivy from behind.

“I will come back soon to please my poor husband and my room.” Ivy smiled turning towards him.

“I am hungry. Its seeming as if I never ate something from your hand since ages. But whom am I telling? The one who doesn’t care at all!! ” Frederick pouted rolling his eyes.

“Just wait! I will feed with my hands today.” She pinched his cheek and went to out bring their dinner.

“I missed this too much!!” Frederick sighed taking morsel in his mouth with her hands.

“It me and you didnt miss me!!” Ivy raised a brow.

“I didn’t say that”

“What did you say then?”

“I meant to say that I missed eating with your hands.” He grinned innocently.

“No!! You meant to say that you didnt miss me at all but my food.” She was fighting while feeding him.

It had been thirty one days and she was missing the way he used to make it up to her when she gets angry.

” Okay okay my love I am sorry!! I am taking my words back”
He said raising his hands in the air.

Ivy smiled wh0le heartedly.

“Drama queen!!” He said slapping her arm and pulled her in his arms roughly while grinning.

She suppressed a laugh and put her arms around his neck.

” Let me take the dishes to kitchen then we will talk peacefully.” Ivy said pulling back.

He nodded while she went out.

Frederick stood up to take a tour of her room.

Ivy came back after almost 5 minutes and entered her room with a smile.

Little did she knew what was waiting for her in,side.

Her smile faded away while her face went pale looking at the thing in Frederick hand.

“Yours?” He asked in damn serious tone which was enough to snatch life from her body.
